Essenza Bar & Restaurant

We took advantage of the three platter £14.95 tapas and order one for my wife and myself. The food was incredible delicious and cooked very quickly. They have a great selection beverages and the service was excellent. The restaurant is up a flight of stairs, it’s very clean and spacious. We were made to feel very welcome by the staff and loved the incredible variety of food available on our six platters. A must go if You are in town.

First of all really friendly service. We went for the tapas although there was plenty on the menu and we were not disappointed. Although not strictly Spanish dishes (more 'world's tapas), the plates were tasty, beautifully cooked and filling. We particularly enjoyed the meatballs, tempura chicken, calamari and garlic mushrooms bug it was all good. Price is decent so no complaints there. I would certainly revisit.

I had a wonderful experience at Essenza restaurant! The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional, with great attention to detail. A special thanks to the chef for the delicious food. The manager ensured everything ran smoothly, making the visit memorable. Highly recommend for excellent service and atmosphere!

We ate off the tapas menu where the choices were impressive, some traditional and some of the chefs creations. Good nice food with no disappointments 👍 The wine choices really work with food, and there’s plenty of other drinks to enjoy as well. Staff were excellent, friendly, attentive and entertaining with two birthday songs for separate guests which raised a few laughs. We were lucky enough as a walk in to get a table for two so I’d recommend booking. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be going back.

My wife and I dined here tonight. We were lucky enough to get a table after arriving without a reservation. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food tastes fantastic and the portion sizes were good. Highly recommended.

Up this way for New Year and had another amazing meal. Very quiet in January in town, all venues quiet, but food is exceptional again. Had the prosciutto calzone and some chorizo on the side. Great portion sizes, friendly and attentive staff. Food quality and taste exceptional. Must book as even on a Monday was very busy.

The food the staff the service in fact EVERYTHING about this place is top notch....well worth a visit even though its a bit out of the way. A little hidden gem that is 5☆

This has got to be my new favourite tapas restaurant the food was delicious and so fresh, staff were great and really friendly and made the whole experience great, anyone going to harrogate this is the must go to restaurant! truly all around amazing experience

Went for dinner last night, the service was incredible one man doing orders drinks bringing food out clearing plates checking if we needed more drinks. Advised on not needing to order sides and just amazing service. First time we have eaten here and will definitely return!

We arrived late on a Sunday evening but were still treated to gorgeous tapas. The portions were large and the calamari was a particular treat. Would definitely return.

Absolutely outstanding. Arrived 10 minutes before our 7 pm booking so we were given the lunch menu. 3 Tapas Dishes for £16.95. The portions are huge. The food is simply delicious. Excellent service as well. Heartily recommend

This place needs bigging up!!! We’ve been here 3 times now and each time the food has been delicious!! The service is relaxed and proficient. The tapas portions are generous so the £16.95 for 3 tapas is a great deal! We will definitely be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful brunch here with our kids! The restaurant is small but so charming and full of character — it has such a warm, welcoming vibe. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully served, with plenty of options that both adults and kids loved. The service was fantastic — the staff were friendly, attentive, and so kind with the little ones, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find a spot that’s this cozy, family-friendly, and still offers such high-quality food. We’ll definitely be back for another weekend brunch!

Very quiet place when we visited (Monday early evening) but lightened by the waiter and his friendly demeanour. Superb, plenty of food from the £16.95 (up to 7pm) tapas menu. Mixed grill was wholesome, cooked and presented well too. Lovely, freshly cooked food.

Food is excellent, really tasty and good sized potions. Good value for money. The service was spot on too, no complaints. Would defo recommend a visit.

Our tapas was very enjoyable and tasty and the portions were large. The house red was pleasant and reasonably priced. The owner was friendly and helpful, all in all a very pleasant evening.

Friendly attentive service. Not many people in for lunch which was surprising on a Friday. The food was superb. It's all cooked fresh so you wait a bit but we didn't mind that. We had 3 tapas each for the £16:95 deal. It was a lot for us, we could have managed with less. The calamari were delicately done with a chilli sauce, and the skewers with aubergine sun-dried tomatoes and goat's cheese were delicious. The tortilla was very tasty it had roast pepper onions and spice and was cooked perfectly. One serving had 2 large portions. It was all better than anything we've had in Spain. Don't miss this restaurant, it's great.

Enjoyed the restaurant so much in November when we first visited, we had to come again in December for my sisters birthday. Like before they are accommodating and welcoming. The food was as gorgeous, and the atmosphere was lovely. Felt a little bit cold by the door but still had an amazing evening. Highly recommend.

We had a delicious tapas meal that included some unusual combinations that worked: halloumi with chorizo, chicken fajitas, calamari with sweet chilli sauce, garlic prawns with chorizo, patatas bravas, bruschetta smoked salmon, aubergine skewer.

The food was amazing! I am so glad we went there. Must have are the mushrooms and the chorizo. We had 8 (2 people) tapas and were very impressed with all of them!

Had a lovely meal here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Vladimir made us feel so welcome and even put out some balloons for us, haha. Cracking little restaurant and the food was top notch. Will definitely be back here when we visit Harrogate again.

The restaurant was an absolute delight! The portion sizes were generous, and every dish was bursting with flavor—especially the pork, which was outstanding. The wine selection was equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meal. The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. As a thoughtful Valentine’s Day touch, they greeted every guest with a rose and decorated the space beautifully with balloons, creating a wonderful atmosphere. Considering the quality and portion sizes, the pricing was very reasonable. Without a doubt, one of my favorite restaurants to date. Highly recommend—thank you for a fantastic experience!

Little gem of a restaurant ordered tapas and a bottle of vino Verde,service was courteous and efficient and the food was superb,recommend the calamari and the salmon bruscetta, we didn't feel rushed,very relaxed atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Very clean toilets too. Only smallish space and need to be able to get upstairs but sooo worth it 😍😍

Lovely little restaurant with great food. Maybe could've done with one or two extra pairs of hands waiting on as there were only 2 covering front of house and it was quite busy but other than that no complaints and will definitely return 😎👍

It was a great find when we stayed overnight in Harrogate, Vlad was a top guy, Food was fantastic, wide range of dishes, generous portions and arrived at our table fresh and hot, we even got my father-in-law to try the tapas and he's a fussy eater and he loved it. What a disappointing Saturday night birthday celebrations meal. A table for 5 booked for 7 30pm. Our food arrived at 845pm. I'm really happy to wait (quality time with loved ones is a bonus) especially if it's worth the wait. Sadly this was not. Yes, the portions were very large but the quality was well below average. The pizza was lovely but the 4 meat dishes were not a delight. Over cooked and poor tasting. A real shame as friends made a big effort to join us.
