Came as a party of 30 for an annual works night out. Flawless experience from start to finish. The restaurant decor is stunning, food was gorgeous with generous portion sizes, and the service was absolutely fantastic. Everything you’d expect from a top restaurant which this certainly is. Our company is also in the restaurant and bar industry so we would know, and it was even better for us knowing what goes into delivering that excellent experience. Big thanks to Dominique our server and the manager too I didn’t catch his name (Sunday 7th January evening time.) Have already recommended to family and friends I will be back soon. Thank you again!! PS Tiramisu is to die for!
Gorgeous new additions to the menu. Tony , Dario and the team are always welcoming , the service is fantastic and the food is glorious Italian at its best . What a great Restaurant to have in our village . Cibo would give the best Italian restaurants in London a run for their money !
Exceptional food & service to match — the canopied seating area gives that indoor outdoor vibe and with the sun shining — what an absolute little gem of a restaurant this place is — top quality experience throughout, classic stylish interior with a modern feel and couldn’t fault anything with food at all, delicious crispy squid starter (was spoilt for choice with such a fine menu) Great for a special occasion treat, well worth the trip to Hale for this excellent Italian restaurant, would definitely recommend checking out
Great atmosphere, fantastic service, brilliant interior and fabulous food. Attended with family and were pleasantly surprised when we were told that halal meat was offered. Fun! The service was as good as the food served. Definitely one of the best lasagnas I've had in a long time. All the ingredients used tasted fresh and the food was just like it had been cooked at home. Although I'm a huge fan of Piccolino's, I felt the quality of the pasta here was superior as well as the massive bonus of halal meats being used. Will definitely be returning here very soon! Job well done guys!
Have eaten here a few times an every time the staff have been so welcoming and friendly and the food delicious, fast and very affordable. Will definitely be eating here again!
Probably the best food and service in the area, beuatiful setting opposite the historic victorian station. Highly recommend 👌
From the moment we walked into Cibo, we were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance that set the tone for a perfect evening. The menu is thoughtfully curated with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, offering great wine pairings and helpful recommendations. You can tell the team here takes real pride in what they do. Cibo is more than just a meal — it’s a full dining experience. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just craving authentic, beautifully prepared cuisine, this place delivers every time. Highly recommend!
As a local, Cibo is my favourite restaurant I usually brings my friends here …. Great atmosphere, beautiful decor ( I still not yet to sit on their beautiful terrace) and amazing food. My most recent visit they got new squid ink pasta with lobster and seafood. The taste is so good I would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone.
1st time visiting this restaurant, and would definitely return! all the staff was very polite & helpful and the food was gorgeous!! starters, main and dessert. Nothing bad to say about the place! Instagram: Kildare Property Services 🏡 🧼
Had a great time at Cibo Restaurant! The food and atmosphere were fantastic, and Tony was an amazing host, welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back.
I love Cibo in Hale. Amazing atmosphere, impeccable service, delicious food and wines. We went last night - it’s been closed for a reference for four months and only re opened last week. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
Saturday evening- we loved the service we received tonight from staff! Me and my partner ordered bruschetta and deep fried squid which were both basic starters but still lovely! For mains I got the lobster ravioli which was delicious and my partner got rib-eye steak which was cooked to perfection! The service is what makes the experience even better. We spoke to quite a few staff and they were all lovely especially the lady on the door with dark hair and the bartender was our favourite (not sure of his name but had dreadlocks I believe. He was super friendly and described all the gins (my fave) to us. He also gave us a complimentary shot at the end of our meal which we hugely appreciated:) Only downside I guess is the service charge which was £13. We do like to tip but prefer to do it ourselves. And parking is a nightmare, but we loved our date night here tonight.
Always good food, service, and atmosphere. A reliably lovely evening out. No surprise that it's always busy.
Located super close to shale train station - in fact it’s a cross the road. Parking is tricky so be patient and you will find one. The entrance is wide and inviting with a compact bar straight in front of you with seating areas up or downstairs 4 of us ate a starter and main for £40 per head. We paid for drinks at the bar separately See photos for our meal: Starters: garlic bread with cheese & chips with truffle oil Mains: steak with broccoli, spinach and new potatoes on the side Roast duck with sweet potato Lobster ravioli Everything was fabulous and served hot The only thing that let down the atmosphere was a large birthday party of 14 year old girls, which was a one off!
Really nice place, great atmosphere, staff are friendly. Food was great and came quickly after ordering. Highly recommended.
Beautiful restaurant, amazing staff ! And the food is out of this world . This restaurant is a 10/10 for everything.
Amazing place, friendly and polite staff, delicious food! Would definitely visit again. Thanks to Gerardo who provided us first class service!
We had a lovely meal. The service was first class.
Lovely food and service was good. Polite and attentive staff. Didn't feel rushed at all. Clean toilets and atmosphere throughout restaurant was nice.
It is said to be a restaurant where football stars and legends go very often which has the reason - very good quality of food and services. The atmosphere, too.
food is great and service is really attentive, will visit again when I went to UK next time
T-bone steak and lamb chops absolutely delicious
The cream-based Chicken mushroom pasta is a 10/10. Unfortunately they removed it off the menu, but they’re kind enough to make it on request. Best Italian in Cheshire.
Had a lovely Mother’s Day lunch. Very friendly waitress, really lovely establishment and atmosphere. Would highly recommended!
Beautiful surroundings fantastic atmosphere and staff were lovely. We were a party of 4 and all had 2 courses all of us chose differently and each plate was absolutely perfect. Would highly recommend.
I recently dined at Cibo in Altrincham and had a fantastic experience. The steak was exceptional—perfectly cooked and deliciously tender, and it's great to know that it's halal. The manager was particularly impressive, always pleasant and welcoming, which added a personal touch to the evening. Highly recommend this spot for both the quality of food and excellent service.
Welcome back Cibo Hale. Food, service and ambience fantastic. Really enjoyed the evening. Our favourite restaurant.
Stunning place, food was amazing. Great service and all staff friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
Cebo Hale is a perfect combination of great authentic food and top class service. I have eaten here several times and each time has been a wonderful experience. Many restaurants in Hale have great food but the service level has slipped in recent years. Cebo is one that has always maintained a high standard. If you want a romantic meal or a gathering with friends this is the place to come. Our kids love the fact that there is no children’s menu and they can just get a smaller version of anything off the standard menu. Keep up the great work Cebo
Beautiful place, very posh. Feels very special. Perfect for a lovely meal out. We enjoyed the smaller lunch menu (12-4pm) which was just enough before catching our flight at Manchester Airport. Otherwise, it's nice to combine with a stroll through Hale and all its cute shops.
We had a lovely dinner at Cibo! The food was very delicious, and we enjoyed a great evening with friends. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, even helping us change tables to make things easier with the baby. Highly recommend this place for a wonderful dining experience. Thank you, Cibo!
Quick review: A high end restaurant with unique Italian dishes and even more unique setting. Though service charge and slower service during busy times can be off putting the food, quality and views are worth a visit. Pros: amazing location with massive glass conservatory on both ground and 1st floors. Uniquely designed dishes and authentic flavours. We recommend the Sea Bass Linguine and Honey Semi-alfredo desert, as they were delicious but not heavy. TIP: Be careful with pasta dishes with butter sauce as the melted nature of them, can get on your clothes if not forked delicately. Cons: 1. if sat in the conservatory areas, the outdoor heaters might be turned off by the staff, at the request of other guests, so just be aware if you don't like to be cold. 2. We were not asked how our food was, which is usual at most restaurants, nor was timing good when asking for the bill, as it took a long time to get staff attention. Tip: come during a weekday for a nice quite experience and more attention by the staff. Overall I would recommend this restaurant for the food, setting and views.
A great meal and catch up with friends. Food quality was very good. I had Tuna Tartare and Fillet Steak, both were excellent. Portion sizes decent but sides are needed with the mains. Dietary requirements well catered for and overall service couldn’t be faulted. I wouldn’t say it’s good value for money. In fact the bill was eye watering. The 12.5% service charge just about finished me off 😭 If you have the bank balance for it, go and enjoy.
The food was delicious and the staff were lovely but it was my first and last time visiting. The communal sink area in the bathrooms makes me very uncomfortable as it did the man who assumed I'd walked into the wrong area in error until he realised it was communal.
Venue is nice enough, pretty busy so is obviously popular but I probably won’t be returning. Food was average at best and there’s not a lot of variety for vegetarians or vegans, definitely something to improve on. Staff were clearly waiting and hoping for people to leave from an hour before closing time.
Me and my boyfriend visited for valentine’s day, obviously very busy and i understand why the food wasn’t up to standards. The food is somewhat traditional, the arancini were unfortunately not,and tasted awful.Im glad to say the steak and ravioli were very good! Overall atmosphere was just nothing to complain about other than the fact it was busy but that’s nothing they could control. The staff handled things well, very polite and elegant. The prices are outrageous but then again,i didn’t pay.I wouldn’t visit again on a busy day like that but might have to give it a second go simply because of the atmosphere and lovely drinks.
We booked Cibo for a Saturday afternoon lunch for a birthday. The décor of the restaurant was very nice, the terrace outside make the most of the weather. The group had a mixture of dishes, pasta, pizza & steak - where the steak was easily the winner. Staff weren't particularly attentive (no one came to ask us if we wanted any more drinks), not particularly friendly when we paid the bill. It was epitomised by one member of staff making us wait for then to walk up the stairs (despite not carrying anything), no thanks at the top, didn't leave us with the best impression. Overall: pretty restaurant but nothing to write home about...
FEW PROS AND CONS! Omg this place is like no other Italian restaurant I've been to for the decor, it's epic!! The food, drinks, and staff are all excellent. CONS. Red wine by the glass was £14 though, very expensive!! I asked for extra chillis 🌶 on my pizza to find £1 added to the final bill. It was such a shame. ALSO, I just noticed £16.5 SERVICE CHARGE! Come on, Cibo! PROS. The way the building has been constructed is just awesome! The Diavoa pizza is to die for!
3 stars it's okay is just about what I want to say about Cibo. I'm not one to be bothered about fancy surroundings but it had a nice decor, was spoiled by a fly that kept on landing on my head. The most important though is the food which was just ok. Not bad but not great. The staff as always in Italian restaurants are very welcoming and great fun.
Decided to give Cibo a try with some friends. It's expensive which is to be expected. Overall I found the food to be ok given the prices it was nothing out of the ordinary. I had a Scallops starter, Halibut main and a Pistachio cheesecake for dessert. The dessert was probably the highlight for me. The service was generally good, aside from one of the staff serving drinks who didn't seem very happy. A 12.5% service charge was added to the bill. The surroundings were interesting. We were sat at a table next to what resembled an outdoor garden/greenhouse. At the end of the meal, I found a little surprise on my jeans. A live snail 😳
It was my first time to experience food as this restaurant . My friend and I didn’t book a table but the staff kindly offered a table after 10 minutes waiting by the window which was nice place to sit. The staff were very friendly . The food was good but not as good as you expected in that price . They brought the food without any side design and or any nice garnishes it was a small piece of steak with 2 slices of Tomato . The serving was completely disappointed . We should pay for chips and stake sauce as well . We had one bottle of Rose . It wasn’t a good experience for having nice steak in a nice restaurant in a good price . I am not recommending this restaurant as we could have same steak in a better quality with nice design and chips and sauce with cheaper prices.£120 for 2 people for nothing special.
I wouldn’t try again!!! We celebrated our 10th anniversary at Cibo mainly to experience the atmosphere which was really nice but unfortunately I can’t say the same for the food. The drinks were OK but not WOW. We were so disappointed. Also be aware that you will be paying 12.5% service charge on your bill.
Went here with my friend on Monday to celebrate her birthday. The following day I woke up and threw up first thing in the morning. I had food poisoning for 2 days. Was a horrible experience. Staff was slow in taking order and giving the correct items ordered. Had to ask for our drink we ordered two times. The garlic bread pizza was too oily. Would not recommend. Totally overrated and overhyped. Just another instagrammable spot.
Photo says it all. Worst Sunday roast ever. Cold, fatty meat. Raw Yorkshire pudding. Microwave mixed veg. Solid roast potatoes. Stick to pasta and pizza.
My recent visit to Cibo was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the experience was tainted by rude and inattentive service. We were initially seated near the window, but since it was quite cold, I politely asked if we could move upstairs. The waiter’s response was shockingly abrupt: “Once you go up, we can’t go back down again.” The tone felt unnecessary and rude, as if asking for a simple accommodation was a hassle. Things only got worse once we sat down. The same waiter immediately came over and, without any prompt, took the glasses of wine off the table, saying, “I assume you won’t be drinking so I’ll take these away.” It was such a presumptuous and dismissive move, and it set the tone for the rest of the night. There was no care or attentiveness from the staff, and it felt like they couldn’t be bothered to offer decent service. To top it off, after the mediocre meal, we had to wait ages just to get the bill. Despite trying to get their attention multiple times, the waiters seemed uninterested, as though they’d already checked out for the night. Overall, the experience at Cibo was ruined by poor service and rude staff who clearly didn’t care about customer comfort or satisfaction. I assume the waiter who made those rude comments was the manager as he was wearing a suite. I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be returning.
