For those who order doordash or uber eats, as a driver i thought i should let you know they always ask if you have a pizza delivery bag and if you don’t they give you one. No other pizza store does this. So just fyi this is exemplary above and beyond. Thank you Mr. Gattis

I always visit S Austin, and get Mr. Gatti’s whenever i’m in town. I’m sort of a pizza connoisseur and I have yet to have any amount of inconsistency. It’s a unique pizza with varying texture and rockin flavor. The streak continues! Thanks Mr. Gattis for being my “easy night in” when away from home.
Props to the three employees getting absolutely swamped tonight and still giving me great service. There were so many angry customers demanding refunds and giving them a hard time when they’re clearly understaffed and only have one oven. They were set up for failure, and upper management SHOULD DO BETTER to not put their employees in such a position. Pizza took a long time, but that’s to be expected given the circumstance. It was made correctly, hot, fresh, and delicious. Thank you guys!
I placed an order at 4:30ish pm for delivery and got an email acme text saying my order would be delivered at 5:16. I get a text at 5 pm sing the dasher had picked up my order and was on the way. 4 minutes later I get another text saying the order was hand delivered to me at my house. I called the dasher, who said "I don't speak English, only turkey" and hands up on me. I text him, but no response. I call the restaurant. The manager, Joe, tells me my order was not picked up and it was still sitting there waiting on the dasher. He gives me the number to call and talk to doordash. I call and they say there's nothing they can do cause I've already received my meal, even though I explained I haven't received anything, the dasher lied, and even gattis has confirmed my food was still sitting there. Doordash refused to give me a refund, said a manager would be right with me, and then hung up on me. I called Gattis back and talked to Joe. He made a new order for me, refunded my money, and called doordash himself to tell them they were wrong. Joe really went above and beyond to make things right. The food was great. The service is amazing. Joe really saved the day. Thank you gattis, and thank you Joe!
I was having some issues with the Online process and applying codes and Elizabeth one of the Managers was extremely helpful with my not so normal requests. She was polite and patient and personable. She should run the whole store!!! When I order from yall again I will ask for her. Please hire more people like her she showed me the example of what customer service should be and that was just the ordering process. I'm 100% confident that if I have issues with my order she will completely oblige me and make it right ✅ April Lopez
This review is for Miss Brandy who was working in the front with very little staff and doing a remarkable job! She was so friendly and efficient and under a lot of pressure but still smiled and laughed and was extremely friendly overall! Our pizzas were surprisingly the best I have ever had from this location. Thank you Brandy you are awesome and hope they are paying you what your worth 😀
Miss the days when a teenager would pull up with a fresh hot pizza in there busted old Honda . Nobody has in house delivery drivers any more it’s all door dash uber and favor. Door dash pizza is cold and requires me to pay by card. Life was better when I could hand a broke teen a 50 and tell them to keep the change.
I love Gatti’s. I’m a frequent customer. I happened to be in S Austin so ordered from this location. Staff is friendly. I order a pan Sampler. I was very disappointed by how sparsely topped this pizza was. The sampler at every other Gatti’s I’ve ordered from is loaded but not the Wm Cannon location. Also, the pan crust that I paid extra for was not sufficiently proofed so it was pretty flat and dense instead of thick and airy. Disappointing.
Horrible horrible customer service. I ordered their special 3 large 1 topping for 24.99 yesterday 8/28/2020 asked for extra pizza sauce so the pizza wouldn't be dry. Pick it up 1 is completely over sauced and the other 2 dry. I call speak with GENERAL MANAGER AARON who says he will add a credit for 2. Cool. Call today 8/29/2020 so I can get my credited pizza. They read me back my entire order instead of 2 so I was like okay cool. Send my husband to pick it up. Employee there starts to argue with my husband regarding our order and Aaron comes out and ask him "is she gonna call and complain? Are you sure she's not gonna complain" I call myself once my husband gets home and tells me his experience and ask for someone above the general manager and Aaron states his name is bill something. I said so you don't know who is above you? He stated no I just send off emails and reports. Mean while tone the entire time was beyond rude and wanting to argue! This location needs to be shut down or taken over by someone who is going to not argue with a customer and train employees to be professional. I take a look at our pizza they replaces that should have extra sauce and my dam they did such a horrible sloppy job! Beyond disgusted with this location!
Rude lady and says I can't add black olives to my cheese sticks and then proceeded to tell me for the last 20+ years I've not been able to add black olives to my cheese sticks because there isn't a button. She just didn't want to be helpful or do anything other than what's the minimum required. Adding black olives to cheese sticks isn't any different than adding them to a pizza. You guys are just lazy. I order this all the time. This is the very first Mr. Gatti location that has refused to serve me. The business was empty and she was happy to see me leave. I guess you guys run off wishes and prayers and not money. I went next door and it was packed. There's a reason you guys can't even sell your specials. It's the service. Think about it.
I was there Sunday to place order and wait... so they only had 2 staff piled with orders so bad that they told customers after my order was taken that it would be no more orders taken for 20 minutes...they were so slammed it was ridiculous and I get it it was only 2 staff... so the guy cutting and boxing had a ponytail up in like a bun did some pretty disturbing things as I waited for 40 minutes instead of 20 for my food... he kept dropping things on the floor no joke and never took anything he picked up to be cleaned...that happened twice...then he got frustrated about something as he was talking to his coworker and this guy rubbed through his hair and down his face and continued to cut and box those pizzas...I waa ready to go at that point... no hair net, no hand washing, no cleaning dishes or devices dropped on floor to prepare food...all the customers that came in to pick up their orders were given longer to wait times... it was crazy and they should consider properly staffing a high trafficed area as this location
We got diarrhea and the food smelled like feet like had smelled the whole house up the manager said it’s not from them it must have been something we ate prior what are the odds we all had pizza one by one we all go to the pooper and the next day still and we will never go back I’d stick with little Cesar over Mr Gattis .
We ordered 2 pizzas over the phone and they said it would be 30mins. We arrive and the pizzas are barely even warm. 1 of our pizzas was the double bacon pizza. Well it also had bell peppers which we didn’t ask for. So they said they can remake it. We wait and they even show my husband the second pizza and he leaves with it. I see it and think maybe the double bacon is under the cheese. Well there was maybe a total of 5/6 tiny bacon pieces on the entire pizza so much for it being. A double bacon when they couldn’t even had the first serving of bacon. Exactly what was on top was what was on our pizza. This pizza is more like a vegetable pizza to which we did not order or pay for, we ordered double bacon for a reason. Edited to add they left off the burger/ground beef as well 🤷🏽♀️
I’m from Amarillo originally and would visit that location often with my family. This location here in Austin is like night and day. My pizza is always burnt, the box sizes are WAY different and the quality isn’t the same. I know it’s a franchise, but I’ve ordered at this location several times to have some nostalgia from home. But it just disappoints every time. This is a medium, which is crazy small!!!
Bug in a box of food already left a review so my rating is going to remain the same. Girl who checked me out had great customer service so I will say that. Overall I won’t order from the location I did ever again.
