The food is FANTASTIC!!!! Tri tip!! Amazing sides. Thanksgiving sandwich OMG. Clean restaurant. Amazing staff. Prices are great!! They have a reward program and give a bonus on your birthday. Place is perfect…. But I miss the onion strings lol! Thanks guys!!!
I’ve been eating here regularly for many years. It’s always good. Consistency is a must for my return custom; they have it in spades.
Service was great, very attentive, loved the food selection
The food quality exceeded expectations. It was clear that care went into preparation.
It’s a great lunch spot with plenty of options. Good for vegans, and vegetarian also. GF options. I love the soups and salad but my favorite is the ahi tuna sandwich.
This place is amazing! Lots of healthy options, reasonably priced and great atmosphere. We had the Ahi Tuna Salad and Salmon Sandwich, all cooked to perfection and oh so yummy. Will definitely come again, highly recommended.
Nice service, fun menu, fresh and delicious food!
I’ve been meaning to write this review for awhile but this restaurant always goes above and beyond for us. I’ve been vegan for over a year so I remember how tasty their non vegan dishes are and now they have multiple options for vegans too! The employees are always the nicest and so accommodating and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever had to wait past the scheduled time for my order. And as the person in charge of picking up lunch for everyone this is a big deal. Tin leaf is like the best place I pick up lunch from, I’ve never had any issue or incorrect order (that’s seriously surprising since we eat here a lot). Everyone is always happy with Tin leaf lunch and they are so accommodating too. Every time I order soup I add a comment to please include a piece of bread or something for the soup and not once have they missed it and always include it. I always make sure to leave an extra tip (and you should too!) because this restaurant is the best for customer service and accommodating everyone.
Tinleaf has continually produced good quality food year after year. They have a great 10 vegetable soup that’s delicious. A twisted BLT - it’s inspired - and the turkey dinner player with mashed potatoes and stuffing give you a little thanksgiving feast any day of the year! There are many healthy options on the menu and they use quality ingredients that maximize flavor. I keep going back - at least once a week when I’m close. **the coconut cake is a real treat!!
This place has delicious Comfort Foods! When I go here I usually get the simply tossed salad, the half portion, because it's big! The soup is really good here and so are the desserts. The kombucha flavors they have on tap are yummy as well. The people that work here are very friendly and helpful. I always have a great experience when I come here. When it's nice weather I love sitting out on their patio because it's so cute.
The food is healthy and delicious, the patio is gorgeous, and the staff are the best. The surrounding patio area was recently closed to dogs, but Tinleaf welcomes pets in their patio area. And when I say welcome, I mean truly welcome, as in a staff member brought our pup a bowl of water. Talk about above and beyond! Love this place!
Love the Mediterranean Chicken salad - so many layers of flavors. It's my go to - although the ahi salad is great too. Everything is always fresh & delicious. The outdoor patio is wonderful...& tonight we got to enjoy the live music from Black Rail. A great casual evening.
Great food and great service. I had the salmon sandwich which was full of flavor and my wife had the turkey breast entree which was perfectly moist. Came with real gravy and delicious mashed potatoes. Love that the ingredients come from local resources. Well done and will definitely come back.
We all ordered different salads for lunch and they were absolutely delicious! I went back within the week. Tasty salad dressings-some traditional and some with a delicious twist. We also ordered french fries to offset our salad😆 Head over today!
Turkey pot pie was good. I would go back. Friendly staff. Decent prices.
WOW, the food at Tinleaf is not inexpensive but it is worth every cent in my opinion. I eat in here from time-to-time but mostly order for takeout when we are having meetings. The food is always fresh and their Ahi is top notch. It is easy to get bad Ahi so I was a bit worried the first time I ordered their Ahi salad, but it was fantastic and I get it every time now. They have the perfect menu for takeout or delivery via Doordash or similar, a large variety of salads and sandwiches and a very friendly staff. Highly recommended!
My favorite lunch spot. I am addicted to their "create your own" salad. Food is so fresh, so good. Great patio for dining even during Covid. Don't skip Tinleaf. Great ownership as well.
My grandson got chicken tenders that were really moist and fries that were really crisp! I got lentil soup and loved it!
I have not been to Tinleaf since the pandemic and was pleasantly surprised to find my favorite menu items still there as well as new ones to explore! The new outdoor dining patio is fabulous and provides plenty of shade for a comfortable dining experience.
Knew about this place because of a freebie on Yelp for some fries! Obviously I couldn’t just go in for fries so I ordered the seared ahi tuna salad with some extra salmon 🤤🤤🤤. I swapped out my wasabi dressing for a basil balsamic vinaigrette and I think I made the perfect choice! Soo good! The salmon wasn’t dry and was cooked very well. I chose the the garlic chive and basil Mayo for my dipping sauce and WOW!! I even dipped my salad in it! I can’t wait to go back and try other items
They say fresh it's literally fresh! The salad I ordered was delicious. The outside seating is dog friendly. The safe are super nice and helpful!
I have come here several times and everything we have had is delicious. If its a nice day, have your lunch or dinner on the patio. The last time we came, we saw someone walking their pet pig.

The absolute best fresh salads around. I meet 3 girlfriends for lunch every month or so and we always go to Tin Leaf. Too spoiled to go elsewhere. Fast service and delicious food
Second time in my first week n gotta say very impressed. Had the 1/2 turkey sandwich n soup was spot on. Juicy moist bird, fresh bread, n killer lentil soup 👍 went back today for my Thanksgiving dinner for Thursday house sitting. Can’t wait to eat, Yum!!!☺️
Please open one in Vancouver, WA. Your restaurant will do well here. There are too many new fast-food burger places opening around here and we need an alternative (if you want a burger Habit Burger or Shake Shack are great). I’d like to see a Tin Leaf open around here. I’d go there frequently for lunch, and so would other health-conscious residents.
Casual restaurant where you order at the counter and the order delivered to your table. It offers indoors and outdoors seating. Large menu to choose from. There is a 5% charge for employees benefits which I didn't like. The restaurant should include it in the cost of the food.
Love this restaurant. great service, delicious food, the Sonoma salad is my present favorite, frequent quite a bit
Best. Pot pie Turkey entree our favorite with best Belgian fries Roast salmon salad a favorite Been a regular for 13 years

The food is always great here and has both traditional family options like meatloaf and healthier options like grilled salmon or salad. Customer service is always great and cute little dining area. I love sitting outside in the courtyard though, especially when the sun is out or it's warm enough during the evenings. The only issue is that the lines during rush hour when everyone is eating dinner can get long, but it moves pretty quick. It gives you time to browse the menu though haha.
A little expensive but very fresh, and many choices. I get the hearts of romaine salad, and add salmon to the top. Absolutely delicious. Staff is awesome. It’s a walk up and order, get a number and they bring your food out to you. For their prices, you should be waited on from start to finish in my opinion.
I used to go to Tin Leaf often because of the Tri Tip and Salmon plates pre pandemic. I had out of town guests the other day and decided to take them there. They NO longer have their senior discounts which was awesome. I ordered the Salmon plate and noticed the size was so thin and small compared to what they used to be. In my opinion, the plates are too expensive for the amount of food you're receiving. The quality of the food is still good plus the salad plate is plentiful. My other guest ordered a bbq tri tip sandwich which was small but two on a plate. I give it 4 stars for the food quality and choices but I wouldn't return there if I was super hungry.
We are always looking for vegetarian and gf options. We really liked that you could build your own salad here. The salad tasted fresh. The tomato soup and fries didn't have a lot of flavor. It is a little dark inside, but it was very clean.
Very good option for healthy and fresh food. A little pricey but reasonable for the quality of the ingredients they use. In my opinion the entree plates are better option than the sandwiches but it's just personal preference.
Came here for lunch on one of the weekdays. The weather was nice so we sat outside. We ordered a Turkey Melt (sliced tomatoes, horseradish cheddar cheese, wild argula, basil mayo on a Saide Rose ciabatta roll) and a Sante Fe Chicken Salad (romaine, super greens, grape tomatoes, roasted corn, natural cheddar, red bell peppers, tortilla strips, chipotle-agave vinagrette). Everything was extremely refreshing and was a nice pick up for lunch to bring the energy back.

Not busy on a Thursday evening. The Santa Maria tri tip was disappointingly meh in our sandwiches. The fries were good, the grandkids liked the fruit bowl and Mac and cheese. Wouldn't be my choice to to back.
salad was sooo small turkey sandwich had one piece of turkey
Entrees range $12-16 and sandwiches $9-14. We know nothing about the ownership but it seems every area has these small group eateries that focus more on style than substance. Good: friendly service, good food. Bad: Portions are not consistent. Seasoning vary. Service is not knowledgeable. Odd: they boast heathy food but have no nutritional facts for guests. Overall not bad, not great either. Maybe once a month.
Loved the large amount of parking and the accessibility of the restaurant. They have a large variety of fresh food including salads and sandwiches. Everyone is very friendly and always asking if anything is needed. They have outdoor seating and a large amount of inside seating. Enjoyed the fresh variety of drinks including cream soda. This will be a go to location when I need something different
I REALLY wanted to love this place. The decor and atmosphere are perfect. The staff and service are perfect. The food looked perfect, and was plated perfectly, but was bland and Luke warm. The fries were warm and lightly salted, not bad with ketchup. The tri-tip had a nice crust and was quite tender and a perfect medium rare, but served cold and not too flavorful, but the sauce, akin to cocktail sauce, was tasty. The Mac and cheese side was beautiful looking but mushy and luke warm with a slightly smoky flavor but otherwise bland, it could use some truffle or rosemary, perhaps? The bok choy side was warm and perfect, with a great cook and nice buttery flavor. The turkey dinner was good, the turkey nice and hot, super tender and the turkey gravy was perfect. The stuffing was very nice and a great compliment to the turkey. The garlic mashed potato was very good. The walnut brownie and crispy onion string were amazing! The service was the star of the show. I informed the hostess, it was cold, and she got me whole new plate which was much warmer. Happy camper! I hope they get some plate warmers :)
Well the good news is the turkey entree was delicious like a fresh carved turkey serving. But the sides, coleslaw was chopped in larger pieces than i’m used to having and the mashed potatoes were cold. I got a little container of cranberry sauce and same size of gravy. The outside area is nice and comfortable. With a drink an tip it was over $28 for one. That seems pricey.

Overall: Fresh food, some bumps in the road, ordering was a bit awkward. The menu is mostly salads and sandwiches, but I did see a pot pie, meatloaf and soup. I feel like I'd go again and just set my expectations differently. Service: Party of 2. We were the first customers, and the only people in line. We were not greeted or interacted with at all as we stood for about 5 minutes up at the front menu area, even though 3 people were behind the cases looking at us. When finally greeted at the register, our order taker was friendly and competent, but not very informative. For example, I asked if I could have a side of bread with my lunch salad, picturing some crusty little hunk of something. She looked a bit surprised at first, which seemed odd-- and asked if I wanted to order a side of bread. I said yes, and she named off several kinds of bread I could have. I ordered sourdough, still picturing a crusty fresh loaf sliced in a slab or two. It was her chance to say, it comes as a slice of breakfast toast, is that what you want? I would have said never mind. But she didn't say anything more, so it was surprising so get 2 slices of toast and a pat of butter to go with my steak salad (it was good toast, I'll give it that). There is no table service except to bring your food to you at the outset. Though it's a counter-order place, the check-out screen still asks for tips. I stood there for a few seconds a) pondering why businesses ask for tips in a self-service atmosphere b) wondering if I should tip anyway in these hard times and how much and c) getting ready to sign. The employee at the register turned around, saw I hadn't finished with the screen, muttered something like "I'll get that" and hit something on her side to complete the transaction without patron input. I was unsure why I wasn't given time to make a choice or sign, since there was no rush, but it saved me from the tipping dilemma. FOOD/DRINK: I asked if they had coffee and was told yes. However it was Keurig coffee from a pod, which was not made clear, and not really something I have ever seen offered at a restaurant. I would not have ordered it had I been told that was my only option. I had a tri-tip salad, for $17.95. It was a pretty light meal, considering it is not a large plate of greens, and there was very minimal meat (about 5, 2"x2" 1/8" or thinner slices). The meat lacked seasoning or char, no crusty savory bits. It was very tender, served perfectly med rare. The menu stated that there were grilled onions in the salad, but they looked more like pickled or lightly sauteed red onions. Absolutely no carmelization, which to me is the whole reason one grills onions. The dressing was great. I did find a slimy decomposed leaf in my lettuce mix. ATMOSPHERE: The patio is a pleasant outdoor area with heaters, which they turned on for us. Cushions would make it more comfortable and the overhead heater eventually burned my friend's scalp, so consider where you sit as some seats are fully under the heaters and others are off the edge.. The interior seemed fine, it's on the dim side, the booths looked hard and uncomfortable, so the space doesn't rise to the level of cozy/comfy in my book. Overall: Fresh food, some oddities, ordering was a bit awkward. I feel like I'd go again for the fresh ingredients, and just set my expectations differently.
I have eaten here many times. The staff likes to rush to close a good half hour or more ahead. The owner needs to address this. The employees are young, I get the desire to lock and leave but folks need to eat in peace. If you close at 8:00 pm you don’t start @ 7:30 on the floor where guests are dining.
Twisted BLT was ok. Not nought bacon but the mayo gave it taste. Too much lettuce for me. The fries were really good though. Not impressed for the amount you pay. Also THEY ADD A 5% FEE to your order whether you like it or not. Sorry. No tip when you slip that in.
This used to be one of my favorite spots back in 2012, the food was amazing, the atmosphere clean, and the service great. I’ve given it several chances recently, but each visit has been disappointing. The food is oversalted, overseasoned, and oversauced (and I love sauce). Service was polite. Outdoor tables were dirty, we had to bus them ourselves, and the benches/cushions were covered in tree debris and grease stains. I’m genuinely disappointed. I don’t usually leave mid-range ratings, but this one needed to be said.

It feels like the quality of place has gone down. It was one of my favorite places for lunch meetings but my last experience will hold me back. Two of us went there and ordered the same mediterranean salad. One salad was missing one of the ingredients that other one had. Plus, I would buy new and bigger bowls. These are small bowls and needs some space on top instead of us balancing the food inside. Customer service is bad. We asked for extra napkins and the guy pointed us to "to go" brown napkin dispenser. They used to have proper napkins that were thicker. Simple things can make the experience better, so please address that so we can come back again.
I have had good experiences here, and absolutely terrible experiences here. The food is amazing, very fresh, of high quality, and creative. But the service is not up to par. Every time my family orders, the cashier always messes up our order. This isn't the worst, but they don't understand where they went wrong, and act like it is our fault. *It is not our fault, it is your fault. For a restaurant to perform well, they must understand this.* Besides this, how they bring food out is terrible. There have been time differences between plates of over 15 minutes on the same order. Last time I went I had finished my meal before my mother received her food. I understand unexpected things happen in the kitchen, but this is unacceptable. I'll be back because it is a great restaurant, so I hope these complications improve.
Food is good. On the expensive side. Customer service not so great.
Walked into this place with high hopes only to wish I had stayed home. I didn’t know what to get so I asked one of the ladies working there to give me some recommendations. She recommended the BBQ Sandwich so that’s what I got. Sat down expecting a nice hot bbq sandwich to be delivered to me only to receive the most child like portion of a sandwich. There were more French fries than sandwich. The sandwich was not only small but not even hot, kinda warm and soggy. Still shocked at how this place has 4.3 stars. I looked up good food to eat near the beach but google has failed me once again.
We’re not from the area but frequently visit family here. Tin leaf has always been a favorite until the last 2 visits. We ordered the grilled salmon salad and fries and dined in. It took 30 minutes to be served after asking if someone would check on it. We were told they were waiting for our fries. We got our order about 5 minutes later. The salmon was barely warm as were the fries. We should’ve sent it back but felt it would be rude. Pretty much the same service when we were here 3 months ago. Very disappointed in Tin Leaf. Our $30 dinner was sub par at best.
