Omg. This stop was life changing! The food was absolutely fantastic. So fantastic that we ordered room service 3 times over our 5 day stay. Everything we ordered was amazing. The steak, crispy shrimp, nachos, pasta bar, cheesecake, all of it. Absolutely amazing. Keep up the phenomenal job, and please deliver to Orlando.
Beautiful location on the mountain with views. It is friendly and not stuffy. Staff is professional and anticipates your needs. Christian, our server was great. I took my husband for his Father's Day, had a nice time . Be sure to walk around after dinner, views are amazing !
We are locals but love to come up to the Ritz Carlton for a snack or a drink. We bring lots of visitors here. State Fare Bar and Kitchen is part of the Ritz Carlton property. It sits on a hill so the view in the evening is beautiful. There is lots of outside seating along with inside seating and the bar areas. You can get a delicious burger or chicken sandwich along with a lot of other items. We always get great service and leave content.
Fair prices (surprisingly), friendly wait staff, extremely attentive and the turkey sandwich with egg was insanely good. Going back here every year now. Iced tea was infused and different but worth trying.
Had dinner at State Fare at Ritz Carlton and here's perhaps what you can expect. Very good service. Good food, not stellar food but not like The Outback food as one reviewer suggested. Stellar is if it's inspired and unique with taste, plating etc. this is good food. The service was excellent and the view was, as you can imagine if you've looked at the photos, amazing. Price for a table of 4 with bottle of wine and mocktails is going to push $400, just fyi. For $400 the food should be stellar but it was still a memorable experience and the food was not bad at all. Order the avocado app, btw.
We are locals and try to go either Fri or Sat night when they have live music. But that aside, the food is AMAZING. We have taken loads of people there and no one has been disappointed ever. The burger is off the charts. The scallops are fantastic. And believe it or not, they have a gluten free pita bread that is so delicious, many people prefer it to regular bread. They are extremely accommodating for substitutions as well (like for example, having half sweet potato and half regular fries). Love that they use organic/locally sources when possible. That's what brought us there to start, but the quality of the food and the ambience kept us there.
Staying at the Ritz for a few nights (a wonderful thing to say) and for convenience we chose to dine on property tonight, which means State Fare since The Edge Steakhouse is closed for the season. It’s a very large, open restaurant with a bar and large flat screen playing sports at the North end. Our service was quick and everyone we encountered was very polite. I chose the Watermelon salad to start and although I wish it had more watermelon in terms of quantity, it was still very tasty and I would order it again. For my entree I chose the Chilean Seabass and it was lovely. I was worried the Tikka sauce was going to be overpowering, but it wasn’t. It almost tasted like Old Bay seasoning to me. I would order that dish again as well. Overall a good meal and I would dine here again happily.
I have a bunch of food intolerances which make it hard to eat out. My husband and I stayed at the Ritz for our anniversary and went to the restaurant to see if they could accommodate me. From the hostess to the waiter to the chef they were so helpful and didn't make me feel bad at all. The chef made me a meal specific to my allergies and it was delicious. We were both very happy with our food, the service, and atmosphere in general (live music) and would definitely go back.
Best. Brunch. Ever. We dined at State Fare for Mother’s Day brunch and it was exceptional! The moment we pulled up to valet, we were greeted with smiles and friendly greetings. When we checked in at the host stand, we were quickly escorted to our booth. Bryan, our server, was truly the best! He explained the various food stations and then brought us champagne to start our day! The Executive Chef, Bruno Lopez, was checking in to ask if people were enjoying their meal. He stopped by our table and we shared that we were impressed with everything. He and his entire team are top notch! Right before we were leaving, we were given a box of macarons, compliments of Bruno. How thoughtful and they were delicious! We are already planning to return sometime soon. This is an excellent and gorgeous place. Thank you for a wonderful Mother’s Day.
There are many things that make an experience amazing. First of all was the great service from Ariel, she was super tentative and had great suggestions. Within a few short moments our food was presented to us an had so much flavor. We had the Fresh Cheese and Charcuterie and Avocado Fries. My wife and I enjoyed the Bleu cheese and fig spread on a cracker. We also had a wild berry lemonade and IPA while lounging back and enjoying the stars. Speaking of which, we enjoyed some nice stargazing the resort provides on Fridays and Saturdays. Right below the lounge area there are nice stone and grassy paths to enjoy a nice walk. For a nice and romantic evening, make a reservation. Worth the time.
We had an incredibly long day of travel. We checked in, dropped our bags and went to this restaurant. The restaurant is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating and stunning views, but our amazing experience was all due to our incomparable server Jasmin. She was so warm, attentive, professional, knowledgable and the list goes on and on. She single handedly made this experience top notch. Highly recommend her service.
My husband brought me here on a date and we decided to sit outside on the patio even though it was very hot. It was worth it - it felt like we had the place to ourselves and the view was fantastic. The waiters were so friendly and the service was outstanding. We had a couple of barrel-aged cocktails that were delicious. I can't say enough about the bacon-wrapped dates, and the hamburger and fries (those fries!) were excellent. It's a great spot and I'm looking forward to another date there!
Enjoyed breakfast, and team dinner. Breakfast is à la carte with a great selection of traditional or modern cuisine. The avocado toast had flavours of sweet and spicy, together with fresh baked dark toast. The banana pancakes hit the sweet spot, soft and fresh. For after breakfast, I asked for a quiet place inside to work remotely, and was surprised with a great view. We had team dinner as a group of 10, and enjoyed entrees with special eggs, seafood and more. The pacific salmon was on point with a delicious sauce and vegetables.
The vegetarian option were limited, but they were able to make some dishes for us. The service and ambience was amazing.
Had a wonderful overall experience at State Fare Bar & Kitchen, which is located within the Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage. We had what was probably the best hummus dish ever. The desserts were amazing, and our server was out of this world. You can't beat the overall experience at this restaurant. We highly recommend it!
Whether or not you are staying at the Ritz Carlton, you should give State Fare Bar & Kitchen a try. I recently stayed for five nights and have tried almost everything on the menu - you can't go wrong! Food: Ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. Ordered the Lobster Roll Sandwich with Fries for the first time. Chilled Maine Lobster, Roasted Garlic Aioli, Chives, on a Split Brioche Bun - this rich and delicious sandwich was perfectly served with french fries. I have had the State Fare Prime Burger at least five times and I love it. Hopscotch Cheddar, Onion-Bacon Jam, Aioli, Arugula, on a Pretzel Bun - this tasty burger will leave you feeling completely satisfied. Service: The hostess and servers, Genevieve, Crystal and Jonathan, who delivered the food and took a great memory photo, went out of their way to ensure a 5-star experience. The order was timely taken, we were seated at a table with a lovely view, pictured below, and the food was served timely as well. Ambiance: Relaxed and casual environment, but you can get dressed up if you like - just make sure everyone in your party gets the memo. Parking: valet parking only, unless you can find free parking at the bottom of Frank Sinatra drive and hike up the hill - it is literally a hike so I recommend valet parking. I highly recommend this restaurant! Shout out to Genevieve, Crystal and Jonathan who went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable and memorable experience!
Exceptional! We sat at the bar for lunch both days! DJ was fantastic! He took his time to explain what types of tequilas they have. Also helped with deciding on what to get for lunch both days. DJ was so friendly and polite! We really enjoyed sitting at his bar! While you’re here make sure you have breakfast on the patio! The views are incredible and the service is exceptional!
The dining experience at the Ritz-Carlton's signature restaurant State Fare Bar & Kitchen is nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, inviting ambiance that perfectly complements the breathtaking views through expansive windows overlooking the scenic surroundings. The setting manages to be both opulent and comfortable, providing a sophisticated backdrop for the culinary journey ahead. And let's not forget the impeccable service; attentive but unobtrusive, the staff elevates the entire dining experience, ensuring that your every need is met. Dining here isn't just a meal; it's an unforgettable experience that pairs gastronomic excellence with panoramic vistas, making for an outing that satisfies on every level. A visit to this restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton is, without a doubt, an indulgence well worth the splurge.
Celebrated my birthday at State Fare Bar & Kitchen. Thank you a memorable, amazing, and perfect evening. The Service was phenomenal, thank you Alan. The dinner was off the charts. Every course was total perfection in presentation and taste. I could not have asked for a more ideal birthday dinner!
This space is incredible. Materials are quality. The dramatic uplighting in the ceiling and decision to celebrate the dramatic texture of the fireproofing and use of color are an incredible pairing for the panoramic desert landscape visible just outside. The varied choice of seating arrangements gives the guest a wide variety of experiences from a standard yet comfortable four-top, to various quiet booths oriented to capitalize on the adjacent views. There is even an enclosed ‘fish-bowl’ dining room that allows intimacy while also not obstructing views. The kitchen is enclosed in glass with aplomb. This connects the guest with a direct connection to the food being prepared. As for service, we were blessed with one of the most delightful and helpful individuals in the service industry, Raphael. He was an absolute joy and helped foster a lively mood in an already wonderful space. The food was nice.
I had the absolute pleasure of dining here recently, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience—especially as someone who follows a vegan lifestyle. The chef went above and beyond to curate a custom plant-based menu, and every dish was executed with exceptional care, flavor, and presentation. We started with the cilantro hummus—fresh, zesty, and creamy. For entrées, we had the jackfruit tacos and the curried vegetable rice. For the birthday desert, we were served three different types of vegan sorbets-so yummy. Each dish was top notch—made with incredibly fresh ingredients and clearly crafted with intention. The service was warm and attentive, and the overall experience was thoughtful from start to finish. I’m incredibly grateful for Chef Janiece and the care taken to accommodate my dietary preferences without compromise. She made it a true five-star experience. Tip for fellow plant-based diners: call a couple days ahead to let the team know your dietary needs—they’ll go the extra mile to welcome you with something truly special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a refined yet inclusive dining experience.
Very Gluten Free friendly. All the chef’s specials were gluten free. The gluten free rosemary focaccia bread was excellent. Check out the picture. Didn’t take pictures of the salad and mushroom soup. Both were delicious. The trout was good. Drinks were great.
What a beautiful settings this place offers. Indoor or outdoors the accommodations are pleasant, chill out music is perfect for the mood. The menu is enough to please anyone. Breathtaking views overlooking the area below. The weather seems perfect at night as well. Definitely recommend to make a trip even if you do not stay at Ritz Carlton.

Had a superb breakfast here to start the day off. Feeling totally relaxed and gastronomically satisfied. The place is clean, the staff are friendly but not intrusive and the food is fresh and tasty. We had a relaxed meal and recommend a visit.
Hey Y'all Devin here again with another AMAZING review..... Ok so what went great? Everything..... Upon walking in had a conversation with Marvin.... HE HAS THE BIGGEST SMILE BY THE WAY AND YOU JUST FEEL HIS PERSONABLE ENERGY.......... We had Christian as our server.... By the way just as a side not I feel it is important to know ur audience to understand the correct pairing on the staff/client relationship and THEY NAILED IT!!!!! Christian was very polite, GREAT attitude, great small talk (congrats on 4 yrs and he brags about the staff he works with---- this speaks HIGH volumes of management). It was a delight to have Marvin, Christian and the other staff members willing to take pics of us because my sister and I are a part of the Foodie group & promote the restaurants this way!!! The ambiance absolutely gorgeous. I do have a suggestion though .... the lights in the pool can be a cool energy Lavender color and I believe that will complement the lighting and absolutely pop. The food ---THANK YOU CHEF. So, I ordered WELL DONE (YES, I SAID IT) Filet mignon and not only was it cooked correctly but super tender. I am definitely glad to be the ONLY person to ever stump Marvin on the question of the salt & pepper shakers!!!! Also, Sara & I are available for design suggestions once items picked out (I have an extended work background in construction & design). This place is definitely worth it. IT IS VALET ONLY..... but the restaurant will validate your ticket!!! We will be back!!!
We had a wonderful dining experience thanks to Darrell. He was very attentive to food preferences and allergies all while delivering A+ service. We'll definitely come back to dine!

Our server Rafael was AMAZING. The star of the day. We are so glad we got to spend time w him. Food also great. I was having some anxiety and ordered off menu for my favorite comfort meal and they were able to accommodate. Casually nice. Prices are ritz prices so you know what to expect.
The Turkey burger was delicious. I enjoyed it so much I ordered it the next day. The only critique I have is the kitchen took a while to get the Turkey burger out. I sat there for almost 35mins after ordering before I got the burger and it wasn't busy or at peak lunch service either. Other than that the food and presentation was great!
Ate here today for lunch (they don’t do a brunch menu, fyi), and it was tasty to boot, my Bloody Mary was also delicious. You’re in the Ritz, and will pay Ritz prices. I had the brunch burger (for $32), and our wonderful waiter Rafael let my friend order an omelette off-menu. He was really the star of the lunch for me. So friendly and warm, funny, great service. I would go back.
Our waiter, Jonas, was very attentive and polite. The food was very good. The ambiance is superb with amazing views. The reasons I deducted a star were: 1) the date bread was very hard and 2) both entrees, salmon and halibut, very smelly. The fishy smell wasn't so bad that we couldn't eat, but it was strong enough for us to notice. We had some leftovers and the next day our refrigerator smelled like fish! I wonder how fresh the fish were. Other than that, everything else was amazing! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
As of 8/23/2021, Edge steakhouse is closed. However they do offer part of their menu here at State Fare! We got the Australian wagyu, which tastes really mediocre with very meaty flavor. With such a simple plating, we are expecting more complex flavor, but that didn’t really happen. We also got a jidori chicken with brocollini and mashed potato; brocollini was on the saltier side but the waiter was kind enough to offer a redo, which came out very tasty. Truffle fries were also yummy 👍 We got three cocktails and only one of them tastes good, which is the berry with Prosecco. The other two (one with pear and one with lavender) were okay, not really worth the $$. Service was impeccable! We came back here for the breakfast and everything was delicious 😊 especially the huevos rancheros!
This place is very good the service is awesome. Alan did a great job with service anything you needed he was there to help out. Definitely recommend the crispy shrimp it was very good. Unfortunately my wife had to send her porkchop back twice because it was way too raw. We have also been here for breakfast and it was very good. Also the bread was extremely good

I'd compare the food to just about any other chain restaurant (think olive garden, outback steakhouse, etc.) NOT UP TO PAR WITH WHAT ONE WOULD EXPECT FROM "THE RITZ-CARLTON". Upon arrival we were greeted by atrocious dirty lounge chairs in the main entrance (valet area) Everyone's main course was ho-hum, nothing stood out flavor wise & was quite forgettable. The best part of the meal was our appetizer (fried Avocado) hard to mess up. The desserts were sickening sweet.
A wonderful view of the valley from the restaurant. If you are here in the summer, it's nice & quiet. In just presenting facts- Avocado fries are to die for. Sashimi is good. You'll need to request wasabi if you enjoy it with your fish. The Caesar salad dressing has little flavor & the heirloom salad is mostly sourdough bread. The waiter was kind & eager to please. Upon paying the bill, they said my credit card didn't process so although I knew there should be no issue, I just handed them another card. After waiting another ten minutes, I started to wonder what the situation was so I called my credit card company. They said no charge was attempted. At this point the waiter came back & said they were having system issues & would get back to us. Lunch took about an hour then it took thirty minutes of waiting to find out that they still had no working system to charge for the meal. They wanted us now wait to sign a form to authorize the charge at a later time. All of that is fine but truly wish we didn't have to wait thirty minutes to do this. Kind of a let down at the end of lunch. I thought The Ritz Carlton employees were empowered.
Looks better than it tastes. Good but far from great. Nice environment and excellent service. My friend had the pad thai, I had the hummus. Plus we shared the very unique macha brulee dessert. The bread tasted burnt.
We were staying at the hotel, and decided to try breakfast twice here. The service wasn’t great, and the slowest I’ve seen anywhere in a very long time. On the weekend they were fairly busy. There was a buffet set up, but it wasn’t mentioned on the menu, or by the servers. Not sure how much it cost, or why it wasn’t offered. Pancakes were ok, but too much food. $12 for an orange juice they don’t refill is also a bit crazy. We gave them a second chance on our last day, and even though there was maybe only 3 tables max, servers seemed to disappear and it took forever to get waited on and forever to get our check. Not a high end experience for a fancy hotel.

Booked a birthday for outside. They don’t promise a table, but I want to say if you have more than four people like 5 there are only two tables on patio with MANY four person tables Many empty two person tables in front of bar. Rules forbid adding one chair. So, with two 11:00 reservations they were unable to accommodate a 12 noon outdoor seating reservation for a very special occasion. Management for large hotel is not on top of this. With that spectacular view, the draw is to be outside. Our server was inexperienced, late and seating staff is not helpful and slow. As for the food. I belong to multiple food organizations The salads are all excellent. Ahi nachos very good. Their pizza margarita was served 1/2 done. Worst ever. We brought a Vintage champagne from our cellar. $45.00 corkage fee. Not the typical $30 which other restaurants offer. Their Rombauer Sauvignon blanc was excellent.
Food was good at best, service was poor. You can’t beat the views, however! Avoid the deviled eggs - They were completely uninspired and goopy. The arugula salad was fine, but a far cry from an exceptional salad I had recently at a much less expensive restaurant. The salmon was tasty, but the accompanying corn salad was lacking in flavor.
Disgraceful level of service for a Ritz Carlton. Had a Table at 6PM Received my Beer order at 6:50 PM Had 2 glasses of water waiting did not receive the appetizer (Flat Bread)till 7:20PM received no advice on why we never received food or drink service absolute disgrace Second time here NEVER NEVER going back waste of an evening. Yes the music was excellent valet parking nice. But that does not make up from this experience.
The food and service is excellent here. It's been my favorite place to go for lunch, especially with visiting friends and family. Unfortunately, they have decided to charge you $20 for valet parking and you can ONLY park via valet there. Even if you are there for lunch. I will not return until this policy has changed
