Best Mexican in Charlotte. Super authentic and so flavorful. Prices are ridiculously cheap the steak is sooo tender. Abby was so polite and had the most welcoming smile.

Go and see "Danny" he'll take really good care of you, your family or event! Danny is an AWESOME server! My family and I, has had Danny twice. He brings out our food HOT and always checks on us every chance he gets. He's very professional and patient with his customers. The food was phenomenal both times.

First off! The best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. The chips were amazing ! The drinks phenomenal. I got the Paloma and the grapefruit was fresh. The service was amazing! I’ve never had shrimp taste so goooood! Listen if you have not gone here you are missing out. Please go

10/10 would recommend, everything was so great! We ordered the Frieda’s burger, steak fajitas, and a variety of cocktails. The burger was unique with the pineapple/guacamole and had a nice pan seared cheese that we loved. The steak fajitas were flavorful and juicy. All of the cocktails were clearly made with fresh ingredients and were not overly sweet. Our server, Ashley, was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcomed. The vibes of this place are also very cute and great for date night. We love supporting small local businesses and this is definitely one we will be returning to.

When I tell you one of the best dining experiences I've ever had I mean that. From the moment that you pull into the parking lot to the moment that you are seated, greeted, fed, and get ready to leave you are treated with the most respect and have the best time. Our server was so patient he made sure he answered all of our questions made amazing suggestions for food and drinks. He was very attentive making sure that each drink or piece of food that came out that we enjoyed it gave us plenty of time to sit talk and enjoy ourselves without interruption. The food was absolutely to die for we ordered so much food and there was not a piece of it that we did not enjoy and we were able to share amongst the table. Now the dessert the presentation of everything was amazing but the taste was even better we had the strawberry cheesecake that you had to break a chocolate skull to get into interactive food is probably my favorite. We went on a Friday afternoon still very busy and we still got so much attention and the staff was very nice the facility itself was beautiful. Had paintings and murals of Frida Kahlo was probably my favorite part. If you're thinking about going don't think just go!

Our first time at Frida’s and our server Ashley was great! The food was delicious and fresh and the drinks were amazing, the 500 Pesos Tamarindo cocktail was my favorite so far !

It was my first time and I definitely will be back. I loved the food and drinks. My favorite thing was the different types of drinking glasses with all types of festive designs haha

The food and service was great. It has different dishes than typical Mexican restaurants. I will definitely try something new next time. Get the chocolate skull. The chocolate is delicious with cheesecake in the center. Tony was a great and friendly server.

Terrific place for Mexican cuisine. Atmosphere is superb and the drink selection is also well done. Many beers on draft. Loved all our dishes. Great decor.

Had an awesome lunch yesterday at Frida’s! Had the Ceviche and Torre Marisco. Both were so delicious and the presentation was phenomenal. Our server, Jose, went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. He was very knowledgeable regarding the menu and had several great suggestions… very personable! Loved the experience so much went back today! Highly recommended Frida’s if you have not had the opportunity to visit yet.

This place is such a good vibe!! My husband and I came for date night! We had the whole back patio to ourselves, it was romantic and very VIP feeling. Our server Axel was very attentive and kind, the food was AMAZING! I only have a picture of the nachos because we devoured the food as soon as it hit the table. I had shrimp tacos and my husband had the steak fajitas. Both were cooked superbly, and the portions nice and filling. We had no room for dessert and will definitely be back for more!

Staff was super friendly, service was quick and the food was delicious. Server was knowledgeable and there was a nice variety to choose from. DJ played a great mix and I danced in my seat. Overall, fun time. We thoroughly enjoyed.

The empanadas, mezcal jalapeño margarita, Tequila Steak and mole were all delicious, even the salsa for the chips was exceptional. The steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare). Service was great, beautiful restaurant, lively, with great music! We will definitely tell our friends and come again.

Our visit to Frida’s Mexican Cantina was absolutely delightful! The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, the drinks were excellent, and Ashley’s service was outstanding. The DJ delighted us with a great selection of house music, making our Friday night even more fun. We enjoyed El Matador for our drinks, and for dinner, we had the Aguachile and El Pescado Frito—both fantastic choices bursting with rich flavors. We will definitely be back! Thank you

EVERY single THING that happens here was tended to with thoughtfulness ! The details of all the FUN decor … Down to the fun paint palette 🎨 that the bill is served on! It’s a super fun place for a BiRthDay 🎂 acknowledgment ! And the Tres Leche cake 🍰 was SUPERB! The spirit of the owner n mgr husband definitely comes through in this new find ! ( new to me 😁) I’ll be back with friends ! Or fam ! … the fact the I hate driving along 51 in that area won’t stop me , ha

I went with a group and this place has great Mexican food! I had the coconut Margarita which came with shredded coconut on top. Nice touch! The chips and cheese dip were also good. I loved the enchiladas with red sauce - it had a nice mole taste, it was tender and delicious. For dessert I had the chocolate skeleton which is sure to impress with cheesecake to go. Will definitely be back!

Food was delicious, drinks were tasty. place super cute chic vibe. 2nd day so expect a little delay but as any new business and 5 de mayo its expected. They make up for it in their service and unique vibes Friendly staff. Such a great atmosphere. Perfect for all ages too :) Lets support this gem :)

Food was great very large menu. Salsa was fresh. I had the enchiladas and the flavor of the red sauce was awesome. The rice was fluffy. I also had the churros with a side of chocolate sauce which were awesome. Service was very attentive and food came out in less than 10 mins. The inside is decorated nicely. It is pretty small inside I can see the dinner hour there probably being a guaranteed wait on weekend days. If you don’t want to sit on the patio.

Alessandra P was amazing and provided great suggestions for food and drinks. I had a mango Diego Rivera to drink and the chicken burrito (as is) and loved it. First time dining here and I will definitely be back. Please look them up.

Loved this little place. The decor was super cute, the food & drinks were great & the service was immaculate! I took myself on a little date and sat at the bar. It was enjoyable and the staff were very helpful! My only complaint would be the area seems a little "off". There was someone selling bags for underprivileged children when I left. I'm all for helping others, but this seemed a little sketchy. Also lots of foot traffic in the parking lot. Lock up and be aware! Especially ladies alone. Ppl seemed to be cutting through their parking lot to access Krispy Creme. Had me in high alert but the restaurant itself was great.

Amazing experience! This restaurant was incredible from start to finish. The service was great, the atmosphere was amazing, and the vibes were super chill. The managers were very attentive, and Josselyn was the absolute best — she truly made the experience unforgettable. And the food? Just amazing. Honestly the best I’ve had in the city. My first time on the site, and I was not disappointed. We sat at one of the tables in the bar. And we loved the food. The drinks are fresh because they are prepared with natural juices. The place is beautiful, and Gonzalo, the bartender, is formidable, his attention, his presence and his way of talking to us, was so cordial, that he made us feel that we had been friends for many years. Thank you very much for paying attention to the details. Beautiful bathrooms and impeccable furniture.

We went here last night to celebrate me and my sister’s birthday and it was AMAZING. I reserved a table online and was able to request a specific table. The restaurant is beautiful, the entire staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our waiter, Mario, was THE best! He was so kind and was very attentive. The food was amazing. We ordered the shrimp empanadas and cheese dip (with chorizo and one without it) for appetizers and all were delicious 🤤. Our food came out in a timely manner and everyone loved their meal. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was so good. We didn’t feel rushed like you do in most restaurants; we were able to enjoy our time without the constant pestering of being questioned if we needed anything else.. We also ordered the tequila flights and it was an experience in its own. They come out with sparklers and it’s eloquently placed on a black bull. For our birthday they came out singing with the churros that we ordered with sparklers as well! 10/10 would recommend. I love Mexican food and the entire atmosphere, the delectable food, margaritas and experience will make Frida’s my number one go to spot.

Javier was our server and he took such good care of us! The atmosphere here is so cute-I’m a big Freida Kahlo fan! I got the coconut margarita-delish, and the baria tacos. Yummy! My friend got the Diego Rivera margarita and it came with a cute little clothespin holding a jalapeño slice on the rim. She got the enchiladas and said they were very good. Oh and the guacamole….chefs kiss!

Absolutely loved this place! The food tastes authentic and homemade, with rich spices and fresh ingredients. From the tacos to the enchiladas, fajitas everything was packed with flavor. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. One of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve been to..

I had such a great time at Frida’s! The entire staff was so accommodating and welcoming and my host Josselyn was amazing and really made me feel right at home. She made great suggestions on the menu and always made sure we were okay! I sat outside and it was such a nice ambiance and I felt so comfortable and relaxed.

I really enjoyed my food here! I got the Burrito Frida which as cooked perfectly and had excellent flavor on the steak. Our server Marvin was a delight and extremely helpful. The tres Leches was also amazing!

Generally we liked the place. Really cute decor, someone likes Frida ☺️ Margaritas are refined cocktails, short, $13, tasty, has tequila, lots of ice. We ordered Arroz Con Pollo 'ACP'. Not warm. Simple & Tasty. 4 ingredients: Rice, grilled chicken mostly on one side but cooked through, I think poblano pepper & onions. No chips & salsa at the table. We ordered the nachos. Good. Cheese was melted, but 'cold'. The staff was very friendly. We liked the unique decor. Nice private & spacious booths. Great bar areas & bar top tables. Overall, it gives Charlotte a good restaurant name. They need a Happy Hour with bigger glasses of Margaritas, chips & salsa.

Tried Fridas for the first time on Friday with a few of my coworkers. Made a reservation and was seated promptly when we arrived. Parking isn’t great depending on the time you go. Our server was great and was very knowledgeable with suggestions. My coworkers food came out before mine as the kitchen staff dropped my order and it had to be remade. They liked their dishes, mine, however was just ok. I ordered the Chicken Burrito (not pictured) and while good, it wasn’t great. I’ll definitely return however as I want to try a few things on their menu and the service was great!

3.75 stars my friends. The sauces they have developed here our scrumptious and the protein hits the spot. Unfortunately the sides could use some work. The rice lacked any real flavor and the black beans were missing seasoning. But after adding some of Frida’s sauces both were much better. I’ll go again and you should give them a try. One of the better Mexican restaurants in Charlotte.

While the service was excellent, I don’t think there was anything special when it came to the food. There were many choices that I don’t typically find at other Mexican restaurants around the area. We may go back and give it another shot.

I really wanted to love it! So close to my house and the place is a whole vibe, with nice decor and great outdoor seating. Unfortunately the food came up short, bland and lacked flavor. Flautas with potatoes and cheese, but no cheese just flavorless potatoes, same with the queso dip. The Enmole was not edible and the cheesecake under the skull taste like store bought no bake cheesecake. The drinks were good! Arroz con pollo was okay and fish tacos too. The staff and place were very nice. Lots of vegetarian / vegan options. Probably will not initiate a trip back unless meeting friends for some drinks. Hoping this was just and off day we visited Came back with friends 3/1, same ratings

Recently visited this Mexican restaurant, and it was just okay—not bad, but definitely not the best I’ve had. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my chicken fajitas, but they were decent—nothing special though. The guacamole (pictured here) looked pretty, but at nearly $20, it didn’t deliver much in terms of flavor. It also had pork belly, cheese and a flower on top for decoration, which I found interesting. I will take flavor over the presentation any day. The wings were fine, but again, nothing to write home about. The restaurant had a more upscale vibe, likely due to its location, but the food didn’t live up to that level. I’d definitely try another spot next time before considering a return here.

Open table says there is a 15 min grace period. I arrived 12 mins late for my reservation and was told it would be a few minutes since I arrived late. I had no issue with that and waited patiently. A gentleman arrived after me 8 minutes late for his reservation, and was seated immediatley. As I continued to wait for about 15 mins, 3 parties that came in after me were seated before me as well. When I asked the hostess why I haven’t been seated yet, she said “because I was late”. I told her I was still within my grace period and the gentleman before me was seated while arriving late as well. Her response was, “well you’re just going to have to wait”. I then asked to speak to a manager and was seated immediately after making that request. I take full accountability in having to wait because I was a few minutes late, but when other parties aren’t held to the same standards, you begin to feel targeted. The restaurant itself was nice as well as the food and drinks, but the hostess created a bad customer experience.

Good Food . Service started off well and then each round of drinks it took roughly 15 minutes to receive. We ended up only getting two rounds of drinks, which usually would’ve been three or four each. We did get our entrées fairly quick, But the cheese dip did come out slightly warm twice and on the third time we didn’t say anything we just ate it. Then we ordered some churros and we were asked if we wanted four or six. We said we think we need six. She said if you get 6, it’s a big deal and I said can you please clarify “ Big Deal “ and she says yes, there will be a sparkler stick and singing from the staff. We immediately said oh no, we don’t want any kind of celebration. We just each wanna have churro’s nothing fancy. We could have not have been more clear about this. We wanted no attention. Next thing I know we get this churro car with 6 churros & 3 dipping sauces . It was so big and it didn’t make any logical sense to us why they would bring this car and put it on the table. It looked like something for a kid celebrating a birthday. It was pink and had decals on it. We finally got done eating and could not find the waitress anywhere again after 15 minutes. I looked on the Bill and was completely blown away that the churro's were $25 . Whenever we’ve gotten six of these, the most I’ve ever paid is $11 Naturally, I’m looking for the waitress to ask her what’s going on here and again could not find her could not wave her down. I finally got the manager and asked him what is going on with this charge? He was nice enough to just charge us for four churros, which was substantially less I think around $7 That’s $1.75 each If I were to get 6 this shouldn’t be more than $10.50 Are you trying to tell me putting a car on the table is worth $15!?! Insanity at its finest! I specifically along with my wife and daughter were like no no no we are not celebrating anything we just want literally six churros. Why didn’t the waitress say hey these are gonna be 25 bucks why don’t you get two orders of four? She also steered my wife to the most expensive drink. It seemed like each time she came to the table She slightly overheard our conversation and injected herself into it & at first it was funny and then it got to be kind of annoying. When you’re gonna charge somebody that much money, you have to let them know exactly what it is and what the price is because when I look online on your menu, it’s a seven dollars It’s unfortunate because we did enjoy the food and drinks, but I don’t think we feel comfortable going back after this.

It took about 15 minutes for someone to take my order, 40 more for the food to come out, and when it did, this is what I got. Chunky cream.
