My wife and I made a quick birthday trip to Chicago and stayed at the same hotel. This restaurant is located in the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious. The beef fell apart, and it was so tender. The butternut squash and gravy was delicious. The carrots were really good, although I would’ve preferred just a bit more tenderness to the carrots. My wife really liked the salmon, and I tasted as well. It had a delicious taste to the sauce, gave a hint of flavor comfort. :) We both finished our meals and enjoyed a crème brûlée. Both of us had more than enough to eat but did not feel too full. Highly recommend this restaurant on the Navy pier, especially if you’re staying at the Sable! Our server, Roger, was very attentive to our needs and helpful with recommendations. Excellent work!
As I have done a few times before, I made a lunch reservation through Open Table to have time for a discounted meal before a matinee at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. I enjoyed the Chef's Lunch Special of a half BLT sandwich and soup of the day (lemon chicken). Had delicious dessert of apple pie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. The hostess, server and busboys were friendly and attentive. The view of the pier is a plus, especially from a comfortable booth at the window. I look forward to my next visit.
This is the best food in Chicago! Hands down! Bursting with flavor, extremely fresh the best service and the price is just right! This place needs to open in other states like New York City and be world wide because I will definitely be traveling back to make sure I go here again. The drinks are top tier as well 10/10. I hit the jackpot when I found this gem.
Such a cool place to have lunch on the pier. Located near the end of the pier, this restaurant offers a GREAT view of the lake. Right outside the Sable Hotel it's also SUPER convenient for guests of the hotel to get quality food.
I went to Lyrica for breakfast and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent—the staff was very attentive, and the chef was especially kind and accommodating. I loved this place and would totally recommend it to everyone. On top of that, the view of Lake Michigan is incredible.
We stayed at the Sable hotel and this is right within the hotel but also has access to the pier. A good bar and restaurant. Was relatively quiet on Saturday night. Food was awesome. I tried the spicy rigatoni with shrimp and my wife tried the trout. Both were great. We also tried the plantain dessert. Just the preparation at the table is a visual treat and the dessert tasted awesome with the butterscotch ice cream topped on it.
Breakfast was good. The food quality was better than average. Our server was outstanding he came by several times to make sure we were well taken care of.
I was apprehensive about coming here because of the reviews, but I actually had a great breakfast! There were other guests when we arrived, but it wasn't crowded. The hostess and wait staff were wonderful! They were all very attentive. The food was excellent, though I generally prefer my breakfast burritos to have more heterogeneity in texture, the flavor was awesome! I'm also happy they had more than just Lipton Black hot tea; they have an assortment of Bigelow. If you're staying at the Sable hotel or walking the pier in the morning, I'd recommend this place for breakfast.
Located in the Navy Pier/Sable Hotel, it was nice to have a restaurant located right at the hotel. I dined here for breakfast, lunch and dinner during my stay at The Sable. I tried the calamari, empanadas, two egg breakfast, steak burger, breakfast potatoes, and the greek yogurt. All were prepared well and tasted really good. The empanadas were my least favorite, the filling may have been better in a quiche or something, but the filling did not taste good to me. My favorites were the steak burger and the breakfast potatoes. Prices are way up there, yogurt was $10, steak burger either $22 or $25 and it comes with fries. The breakfast potatoes were $6 and the calamari was $19. Prices and menu can be found on their website. I would return only if staying in the hotel again. As for service, everyone was really friendly and food did not take very long to come out once ordered.
I enjoyed a delicious early dinner at Lirica. The salmon was quite good and I really enjoyed the brussels sprouts - fresh and light. Lately I feel like everyone is serving roasted brussels sprouts and this was a refreshing change! Bright and welcoming atmosphere on Navy Pier.
I went for my birthday and it was such a lovely experience. Anthony at the bar was a sweetheart and gave me amazing recommendations for the food and drinks since it was my first time. I will definitely go back whenever I’m in Chicago. From the atmosphere to the food so amazing!
We had a very nice brunch today. The skirt steak was very tender and flavorful and I enjoyed them with the eggs and tasty potatoes. My wife got the Spanish fried chicken and waffles and they were amazing! The chicken was so tender and the outside had an amazing crunch to it. We also had the churros with chocolate and caramel sauce and those were excellent as well. I had a bloody Mary that was not the greatest but overall we really enjoyed our meal there today. Their prices are not too bad considering they are on Navy pier and must have a very high rent. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I hate going to super touristy places but this place exceeded my expectations and I would come back.
Service was fast. Prime rib eye was grilled to perfection (medium) twice baked potato was surprisingly good and moist.
This restaurant is located in the Sable Hotel. What a great addition to a beautiful hotel setting the service is friendly. The food is delicious. We were lucky enough to have Len, who was amazing, which isn't always easy to do when you have children with you. He was great with the kids on top of everything and made the night that much more special. We also had dealings with the manager. George, who is a big part of why this restaurant is an amazing place to go to dine.
We were staying at the Sable hotel. First time in Chicago. Visiting from Toronto, Canada. Wasn't sure about Lirica restaurant due to the 3.5 ☆ ratings and negative reviews. Happy we decided to try it last night. Server Len was so nice, welcoming and knowledgeable. The view was great, food was amazing! Presentation and taste deserves a 5 ☆. Service is a little slow but it's worth the wait. The reviews aren't fair. They deserve a 5☆ based on food quality and service. We had nachos and burger. We went back and had breakfast this morning. (Pictures uploaded from breakfast) So impressed with the latin inspired & flavourful dishes they offer. Mishell our server was super pleasant and sweet. Over all experience 10/ 10 we will come back next time we're in Chicago. And will recommend it to our family and friends for sure.
We stopped in after a ride on the Seadog and were very pleasantly surprised! The burgers were surprisingly delicious, flavorful and tender! The Ahi Tuna was just as delicious! The mint mojito was perfectly tarte and minty. The server was fun and service was great. The food did take a while to come out, but when it did, we had no complaints! I highly recommend giving this place a try!
Ate here when we visited the Navy Pier. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Menu was a bit limited, but the food and drinks were good. I also loved the atmosphere and music. I'd definitely recommend this place.
My fiancee and I went there for our anniversary and Roger was our waiter, we had a great time. We had drinks, I had a Pina Coladas, unfortunately it was not frozen but over ice but it was great nonetheless. My fiancee had the Passionfruit Vanilla, I tasted it it was smooth and delicious. We both had the chicken it was delicious and very different; the corn flake batter was very crunchy. We ordered fries but received something different in error but it was a great error. I also had the Lirica Salad it too was great! The restaurant was empty during our time there but it didn't matter we were so focused on what was going on at our table. The entire experience was something that puts this place on our list to return. Thank you Roger for providing that extra attention.
A Great weekend at the Lirica Restaurant in the Sable Hotel at Navy Pier! The Food & service was Fantastic! The steak and eggs were excellent & the topped it off by bringing me a slice of cake for my birthday. Also sang Happy Birthday to me.That was very appreciated and thoughtful. Thank you ladies
Amazing. The service was exceptional. The food portions were large. Nice view. No rush in ordering. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here The food was really good each time. Whether eggs or paella. It was all delicious.
This restaurant is perfection. The people serving food here are amazing friendly and nice. They want to make sure you are comfortably situated and are enjoying the whole dining experience. It is not very expensive for the type of dining you get. Velvet chair rooms, sit in bar area with perfect lighting, or comfortable cozy booths, you all choose. Food wise, Menu is not complicated, fewer choices to choose from a latin inspired menu. Breakfast is on the hotel if you are a guest there and Dining is an experience you will enjoy with unrestricted views of the lake michigan and star lit city skyline.
We had the breakfast/brunch after staying at Sable and the food tasted delicious with huge portions. Amazing views of Lake Michigan, professional service, and fairly priced. The manager George was very accommodating and friendly. We would highly recommend for anyone staying at the hotel or just in the Navy Pier area. We will definitely be back!
Food was fantastic, server was friendly and attentive, and decor was nice...overall a great experience. The menu is limited but the choices we made were all very good. Price is above average, but equates to other similar restaurants in downtown Chicago. They offer full bar selections as well.. This establishment is located in the hotel connected with Navy Pier. Definitely a return to place for us.
We walked in and were seated immediately. Lirica has several vegetarian/vegan options and we were kindly informed that other dishes with meat could be made vegetarian-friendly. We got the nachos and papas bravas (picture attached). Both were pretty large portions. For 2 people, it was enough to share and take home for another full meal. Staff was kind when our nachos had guacamole despite us requesting without it. They accidentally added the guacamole charge to the bill but it wasn’t a big deal. It came out to about $35 with tip. The potatoes were crispy and flavorful. The nachos portion was massive and had a decent mix of toppings though the cheese was kind of plastic-y tasting. For being on Navy Pier, the quality, and the quantity, Lirica was well worth it! As a bonus, the bathrooms upstairs were pristine.
Guava coco is the best cocktail here. Roasted Beet with shrimp for appetizer, for main course New York Strip and Valencia Paella. Wrap it up with La Bomba Sundae for dessert 🥰
We enjoyed Lirica as we were staying at the Sable Hotel. Drinks were very tasty and reasonably priced. Room service was very helpful. You can’t go wrong with breakfast in bed (around 80$ for 2 people).
Came here for my work Christmas party last year and loved the staff and vibe. Came again recently for breakfast meeting and the food was fantastic!
Lírica was a great experience while at the Navy Pier. The food and drinks were exceptional. The atmosphere was terrific, and the staff were friendly. I would recommend this place if you’re near The Navy Pier.
Our food was wonderful, service was fantastic! I believe our waiter’s name was Roger. Very attentive and helpful! I highly recommend the pork chop, as well as the Ahi tuna salad.
Had the Lirica Salad ($25) and it was delicious with the champagne vinaigrette dressing; Spanish Crostini ($15) with tomatoe, pesto & nuts, ricotta, spinach and wild mushroom was a highlight. The Choripan Sandwich ($25) was spicy and a lot of bread but the fries were fantastic. Service was not quick but weren't in a hurry either. Good people watching and the outside is really nice.
Plenty of indoor seating (for a late Friday night). Great service as a result! Items we ordered as of 8/2025: - Milk Braised Pork Shoulder - $30 - Decent though the turmeric cream sauce wasn't as flavorful as expected. Pork shoulder was decently tender. Would pass in the future. - Spicy Rigatoni - $23 (+ $12 for shrimp addition) - This was delicious. The rigatoni was good perfectly and the tomato cream was perfectly balanced. Shrimps were very large and well worth the extra $12. We would order this again! - Ceviche Tostada - $14 - Not bad and while the presentation is interesting, breaking the tostada to eat the thing was a bit of a hassle. It would probably be better with the Ceviche on the side and using the Tostada to scoop it instead of what they did here. - Key Lime Pie - $14 - Nice zest from the limes! We enjoyed this as the perfect palate cleanser after our meal.
Great views of Navy Pier to dine outside. Food was great but a bit overpriced. Service was quick and friendly. Gratuity included in check. Would return.
The restaurant has a great vibe and its location in the Sable Hotel was perfect for grabbing breakfast before heading out or getting a bite to eat before calling it a night. I had the brioche french toast with berries for breakfast 2 days in a row! The French Toast was fluffy yet filling and the berries added a nice burst of flavor. My only critique would be that it was a bit pricey for what you got but hey we were on vacation! The servers were very nice and on point. The manager even jumped in to help get orders and get food out when it got busy.
Beautiful experience here! We had dinner here on our last day visiting Chicago and ordered so many different dishes. Our server was excellent and the food was good. You have a nice view of the lake from this restaurant. My favorite dishes were the wings and the Brussel sprouts! The mac and cheese was also very good.
Rating: 4.1/5 [cocktails only] We ordered two cocktails at the bar, and they were delicious. The drinks came out quickly and were expertly prepared, but they lacked complexity, making the price feel pretty steep. Pear Martini ($18): Absolut Pear, lemon, simple syrup. A minimal ingredient list, but the bartender mastered this drink. I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did—it was actually really good. The pear flavor was prominent but not overwhelming. Oaxacan Old Fashioned ($20): Mezcal Unión, Altos Añejo, agave, Angostura & mole bitters. I love this take on an Old Fashioned—smooth and not too bold, making it easy to enjoy.
We loved the convenience of this restaurant in the lobby of the hotel! The food was pretty good, the portions were large & the service was good! The food in my opinion is a little over priced for the quality, but it’s the price of convenience, so I get it. The manager George was awesome! Very helpful, attentive & always working. We ate here multiple times while staying here so I got the chance to try different menu items. My favorite was the brunch menu.
Food was inconsistent- our salads were excellent, but the tuna tostadas were flavorless. The salmon was also just average. This is Latin inspired but there was no spice or other flavorings associated with this cuisine. Service was attentive.
Service was terrible from the guy at the bar. I didn’t even catch his name. He was so rude and short and me and my friend were standing there and we were talking to him and he was like guys walking up and he was just like shaking hands with them and taking their water first over our order my friends lobster roll was more bread than lobster. It was a mixture of things where you barely found any lobster inside of the roll. It was like imitation pieces over the lobster that was inside of the road. I think we seen like little bitty, tiny pieces of lobster, more celery, and sauce than anything. The muscles are very good. I just wish they had some butter and garlic on the bread that they provided with it then the best thing of the night was the empanadas I would order those again, but because of the room is of the staff, I don’t know if I will be back. Oh, it’s a nice place to see if you want to see the fireworks. And the prices are pretty decent as well
It’s a beautiful restaurant in the hotel on the Navy pier. Service at this restaurant was incredibly slow despite it not being busy at all. Prices at this restaurant are ridiculous. $22 for a burger and fries. The burger was pretty standard. Nothing special there.
We went here twice during our stay. I'll start with the positives. This atmosphere is nice in this place and there are plenty of tables. The shishito peppers and nachos were really good! The second night, we had a great server who was really on top of checking in on us. The salad and Mac N cheese weren't great. The first night we went it took about 20 minutes for anyone to even show up to our table, despite the fact that we watched her go to four or five other tables more than once. We didn't get water until after our food was even served. I looked around and didn't feel that 6 seated tables was too much that we weren't getting service. We also both got sick from the food.
This is a beautiful location. Located right off the walk area in Navy Pier, this restaurant is the perfect place. Our server, Roger, was amazing. The overall service wasn’t as great. When we were entering, the opening was closed off and after stating that we had a reservation but asking where the opening was, we were requestioned if we we really had a reservation at this restaurant. Overall though, awesome food and great service. 10/10 Lirica Salad 10/10 Wings 6/10 Gazpacho 10/10 Nachos 10/10 Kid Nuggets 10/10 Pineapple Mocktail 7/10 Guaca Y Coco
Breakfast and dinner, we didn't really finish any of our food
This would be the definition of mediocre. Nothing here is gonna be the "best" of anything or even something you would remember but you won't get sick eating here. However, for the price, i wouldn't recommend it unless you have credit you want to spend here. Being that close to the water is probably the only thing going for them.
My personal opinion based on my experience hotel restaurant must be cleaner, friendly and have more food variety in their menu, overall nothing clean, small dishes were absolutely dirty and old, food quality specialy chicken jerky was horrible and we didn't touch it, steak burger wasn't bad but nothing special about it. Alcoholic drinks very bad. We just tried this place Once and that's it. 2 Star because we stayed in their hotel otherwise no star.
Made reservations for my husband birthday. Waited forever for his drinks, the shrimp was almost raw, tacos was dry as hell, spicy wings was delicious though and also the cheese cake probably the best cheese cake and wings I've ever had everything else was nasty. It was a group so I excepted the bill to be high but I also excepted better tasting food. I ordered a virgin piña colada drink that was ok. Our waiter was slow when it came to bringing us our drinks. It's very beautiful inside and out, the view and water at night was stunning.
If you’re looking for a place to spend a holiday, this is not it. Choosing this restaurant for a New Year’s Eve dinner was not a good decision. Despite paying for service, guests were required to leave the restaurant to find a restroom, even though there was one that could have been shared with a private event. I saw several parents having to take their young children outside just to use a bathroom What kind of appetizer is this?😕
The food was disgusting. Very bland and underwhelming. Even as basic as brussel sprouts weren’t good. They just steamed them with water no seasoning. We ordered over $150 worth of food it wasn’t good. We finished the fries and went and had snacks up in our hotel room. The only thing keeping this place going is the view.
Choosing this restaurant for a New Year’s Eve dinner turned out to be a very poor decision. Despite paying for full service, guests were required to leave the restaurant to find a restroom somewhere across from the entrance in the midst of the chaos of the Navy Pier. There was a bathroom available inside, but it was reserved for a private event and not shared with paying customers, even though the server had told us to use the one upstairs with no problem. I saw several parents forced to take their young children outside just to use a bathroom, which is unacceptable—especially on a holiday night and with a reservation. On top of that, the food quality was disappointing. The Lobster linguini was not up to part, lacking in flavor and too “Al dente”. Overall, the experience did not match the occasion, the price, or basic expectations of hospitality.
Where to begin? Looking for a place to take my significant other on NYE’s, I came across Lirica. I read online that the “cuisine [was] Spanish-and-Iberian inspired. Not an imitation, but a celebration of Spanish, Portuguese and Caribbean tradition.” End quote. Having been to Spain, Portugal, and all Spanish-speaking Caribbean countries, I was sold. I was excited to try the food. Went online to make a reservation, and the only reservation option available was the NYE’s menu. I looked at the menu, and it didn’t sound very Spanish/Iberian/Caribbean, but thought how badly could they mess up a filet mignon and a Farro/Arugula salad. We arrived at our reservation on time and approached the host stand. The male host looked up at us as if lost/confused, didn't greet us, to which I just said, “We have a reservation, etc.” We were asked by a waitress, 22 mins after we were seated, “Do you know what you’d like to order?” A bit confused, since there’s a pre-fixe menu, my significant other ordered the Lobster Linguini and I ordered the Beef Filet. She didn’t ask how I wanted the steak. At the very least, a wait staff would introduce his/her-self and typically go through the pre-fixe menu, some pairings, and then ask what would you like for the entree. I really wanted this night to go well so I put on a happy face — hoping it’ll all be fine once the food arrived. 58 mins later, we are served the second course, which is the Farro & Arugula salad. The salad and all of the salads for that matter (because at that point for some reason, the wait and kitchen staff began “dropping off” a bunch of salads on several tables) appeared as if they had been resting for a while before they were brought out. The salad was not good. The ingredients were unbalanced and the salad drier than it needed to be. My significant other and I looked at each other with dissatisfaction, and just ate the salad. As we are chatting away, our reaction is probably unnoticeable, but we are noticing everything, and it’s beginning to look like a disaster. We both wonder about the Amuse Bouche and the first course that hasn’t come out - didn’t come out before the salad. Some 15 mins later both the Amuse Bouche (potato chips with caviar) and first course (seafood bisque) come out followed by the entree. We were in disbelief. Now we have all courses on the table, unable to enjoy them separately as intended. We are not even half way done with our entree when 20 mins past 11 PM the kitchen staff all start to come out looking at people's tables for empty plates. There was a sudden hurry to clear the tables and start giving out checks after they had just brought out food, not to mention, once again, brought out all of the courses at the same time. The people that were too inebriated to notice anything, may not bother with giving this place a review, and that is probably how this place has survived. ‘Get them drunk, distracted with the view, and they won’t be bothered with the poor quality of the service and food.’ Food: biggest let down of all. The steak was cold, overly seasoned and the wine sauce was not reduced properly as you could taste that the alcohol had not had a chance to cook off — it was runny. Considering the overly salty flavor of the steak, it’s possible the cook/chef used cooking wine or cheap wine. My significant other said, “no comment” about her Lobster Linguine. NYEs Menu: Seafood Bisque is French. Potato Scallopini and Lobster Linguine are Italian. The Wellington British. Chocolate truffles French. Nothing on the NYEs menu was Iberian/Caribbean. Service: All aspects of the night were mismanaged - so much incompetence. There was no apology or effort to explain the long wait. Parking ticket not validated properly, so, no discounted parking + a mandatory 18% tip. If you paid attention, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming & chaotic especially when suddenly & unexpectedly a bunch of kitchen staff came out to look over people's plates to see if they were done eating when most people were served their meals about 1hr30 mins after they were seated. The audacity!
This was by far the worst restaurant I’ve ever been too in my life. And I’m from Chicago and we take pride in our food & this is not Chicago at all & We Do Not, I Repeat WE DO NOT claim this restaurant as ours. They survive on being a restaurant under a hotel on Chicagos navy pier and you get distracted by the view & how many other restaurants are here if this food was bad. But No, this establishment needs to go and never return or everyone needs to be fired and a whole new team needs to be hired. Food has no one season or spice while being cooked. No matter which dish it is. It will be cold & flavorless. Save your money, get the room because yes it’s beautiful and so is the view, but follow your first mind & take a uber somewhere else for dinner. Please. Save your tastebuds from this disaster 🤮🤮🤮🤮
