Our server and food was great, the only problem was the hostess who seated us. There was plenty of available seating by the window and other booths along the sides. When we were seated in the middle, I asked if we could sit at one of their side booths. I was told by the hostess that those are "low flames", she did not offer any other suggestions and we left it at that. Well as we were eating there were plenty of couples and families being seated on the sides. I felt uncomfortable sitting in the middle the entire time which is why I asked for a seat change. Your job as a hostess is to seat customers, but also accommodate them.

Was surprised they could kept good service times for food. They don't have the screens to order food, so you wait in the waiters, but still not bad service times at all. They don't have a traditional sauce bar, but they have a list and will also bring all of those out at your choice. All and all , da decent Korean BBQ.

This is a fun place to have a group dinner. You cook your own food on the table which is entertaining and different. It's all you can eat. So everybody goes home full. The food is as good as you could expect for all you can eat. We had a lot of fun and that's what I'm taking away from this experience.

I came to this place because I'm trying the new Korean restaurants. But I'm not as familiar with them, so I came here and I ended up having to cook my own food. I was not very good at it and it just wasn't fun at all. It almost seemed like a chore, Plus I was by myself and I did not have my significant other with me. Overall the experience just was not very fun... I'm not saying the restaurants was terrible but my inexperience definitely killed my mood in the restaurant.

This place is pretty busy, We came a with group of friends and luckily we had reservations otherwise the wait time may have been long. The servers were kind and friendly, they changed our grill I felt pretty consistently considering how active it was for the weekend. It only seemed like we kept having to waive down our server for more rounds and refills, again considering how active the place was they seemed pretty busy. The food was pretty good, we had the premium 😋 and the slices are pretty thin which is why we kept asking for more rounds. Our experience overall was ok.

Right as we sat down, the waitress started her long rehearsed speech about the menu. It was so long winded and fast that I lost track of what she was saying. We did the premium meats. Food was great. Downside to this place is the service. Our waitress was actually fine. She was attentive and make sure we were good. It was when she had to take her break that made our experience sucks. She came to let us know she was going on break and that someone will be by to help us. I got to the point where I needed a refill on my rice. After waiting for a bit, I flagged someone down. Someone finally came and asked if I need anything. I told them I just needed a refill on my rice. They said ok and walked off. Rice never came. After a while, I tried getting other workers attention but they didn't make eye contact with me. I end up standing up to get someone's attention, again, I was just ignored. So we just sat there cooking the little bits of meat we had left, waiting for our rice. When the waitress returned from her break, she asked how we were doing. I told her we have been waiting for 30 mins for rice. She got it for us. The manager later came to apologized and told us he had someone cover our table but didn't know why no one came. Gave us ice cream to say sorry. So experience kinda soured the restaurant for me. I am not oppose to try it again but don't feel compelled to say it's my first choice for korean bbq.

I hardly give bad reviews but to be HONEST....This ESTABLISHMENT is horrible. One of the worst AYCE KBBQ spots to go to. 4 items at a time, including Appetizers...? Sauces only when requested? No double orders on meats? Servers forgetting to send out our orders? Cold appetizers? Dont waste your money, Skip this spot and hit up OHGANE down the street! Trust! Lol

⭐ This was a very unpleasant experience due to serious cleanliness issues. We were given two dirty cups in a row — one with a lipstick mark and another that was greasy. The floor was dirty, the seating area was not clean, and the table had clearly not been wiped. This raised real concerns about hygiene and food safety. For a restaurant, this is unacceptable. Would not recommend.

Been before but this last time was horrible. They bring out ice cold Calamari like they cooked it and refrigerated it then brought it to the table (that's how cold it was) they were seating people who came in after us. Just a bad experience this time for sure.

The service is too slow, we left not because we are full, just tired of waiting. The food is decent, if you don't mind sitting there like forever for the food. The music is too loud. It almost feel like they don't want you eat much in this all you eat place.

Worst service I have ever experienced at a KBBQ. They sat us down at 6:45pm we ordered our proteins and appetizers. We got them 20min later. Didn’t even get our full order. We waited a whole hour for a server to come to our table for the second round. This time it was a different server. They told us that the kitchen was backed up. Within a 2hr period we only got two rounds. We decided to leave after our second round took an additional 30 min. We spoke to the manager about it, she didn’t seem to care. We paid $167 for the worst service ever. Never coming back.

I am a frequent when I come into the bay area from out of town to this GEN restaurant in Concord. It has always been pleasant. The service has always been good, but I haven’t been hearing in about six or seven months. Today I went in it was not that busy and although it’s December 31, they are treating today as a holiday and charging dinner prices at lunch. The biggest thing that was disappointing was a time in which food and appetizers came out. I sat down and it took about eight minutes before I was grieved by a server, I placed my order and I got my main course meat first and then 10 minutes later, I got my appetizers. When I asked for a refill, it was about 10-15 Minutes and I just decided to leave. When I pay for my meal, I asked to speak to a manager who was not available, and I spoke to an assistant. I explained the situation and she apologized and said that they try to tell the managers about the problems of wait times, but there does not seem To ever be a fix or a resolution. She said the managers are aware, but they don’t care It’s not a good feeling when I left As this was my first bad experience at this place, I will come back and give it another try but be aware that things have changed

I came in here with my friends to have some food since we had just arrived from Illinois, and were craving some Korean bbq since we’ve never had it before. The food was good I’m not going to lie about that, but we had a younger waitress and she was not friendly at all. We would be making our choices and since it was our first time being in a establishment like this, we thought they would be a little considerate and helpful but instead she was just telling us “Okay and?” With attitude and just rolling her eyes when we would take our time. Like I said, I expected a little patience towards newbies but all we got was rudeness and made us feel like we didn’t belong there. For sure has to work on better service, other than food was good. Also, the manager was really friendly that was the only upside.
