Really really good asada fries. Used to visit this spot frequently when I was in Davis. After re-visiting a couple years later, the quality still holds up. Always loved the fresh chips and salsa. The pastor tacos was great too, but a little on the greasier side. Definitely don’t miss out on the asada fries tho.

Very tasty, lots of choices, service is quick. The only place in this shopping center open after 9:00 on a Saturday night. I just had a carnitas taco and an adobada taco for a quick meal. Both were very tasty and well priced, although the carnitas was a bit too wet for my liking. Great restaurant

I got back in line after ordering the first time. Guads has never let me down. It is one of the best things to happen to Davis. For the price, the portions are insane and it is also absolutely delicious. The meat is tender and flavorful. It tastes just as good as some of the Mission restaurants in SF. The best thing about this place is the unlimited chips and salsa bar that they just keep pumping out. I saw this old man take like 10 containers of salsa himself which I thought was a bit selfish but I also understand. It is just so good.

This was SO good. We got various tacos and carnitas fries and the carnitas were crispy at the edges, just like I like them. It wasn't super expensive and the portions were a good size. The agua frescas were delicious as well. Certainly coming back!

This place has been awesome for decades and still tastes the same! Love the food and the free chips and salsa! I ordered the adobado super burrito and that was amazing!

This is our favorite go-to for great Mexican food. The prices are fair, the servings are generous, the food is always excellent l, and the customer service can't be beat. We love the self-serve chips and salsa bar, delicious!

Hands down my favorite place to eat Mexican food at Davis. I love the food, environment and staff. Everything is reasonably priced. A big plus is their chips and salsa bar. They have very fast service even when there’s a lot of people. Just looking at the pictures makes my mouth water all over again. I love coming here 👍

Best Mexican restaurant in town. Delicious, bright and fresh tasting entrees. The open salsa bar is addictive. Sevice is friendly and fast even at peak hours with line out the door most days. Go off peak hours and enjoy a most satisfying meal.

Good tacos at a good price. There's a slight issue with consistency; sometimes the tacos are fantastic and sometimes just ok. This place gets packed during peak hours so be prepared for that. Not a huge deal, but it's hard to plan to eat there with so many "to go" orders hogging tables for people that want to dine in. Shame on you all.

Good flavors. Poor execution. We ordered a carnitas burrito. I asked for crispy carritas and the person at the register didn't understand or seemed unwilling to ask. I had to say never mind. We like the carnitas crispy. I've been to dozens of Mexican restaurants and its never been a problem or questioned to get it crispy. Your restaurant should be the same way. The customer should get what they like. It literally takes an extra minute or two to crisp. The flavors were good as were the salsas. We did have a couple of suggestions and questions. The burrito had huge chunks of stewed carnitas. Not my favorite. Every bite ended with left over meat. My biggest suprise was this place didn't know how to properly distribute the ingredients. I can understand if it were Taco Bell. But to have all the sour cream, cheese and guacamole all at one end, while huge chunks of meat sat alone?? No excuses for that. The poor execution took away from good flavors. I suggest better consistency and listening to what the customer asks for.

I'd really like to rate this place higher. It used to be bomb. Now, when I ask for extra beans, and PAY FOR EXTRA beans, the bean burrito has fewer beans than before. It's pretty much a bean flavored tortilla burrito. Gonna just have to start making my own.

Sometimes I come here to eat, sometimes just for a drink. Either way, I’ve always liked grabbing the chips and salsa, it feels like part of coming here. This time, Marissa told me I couldn’t have chips unless I ordered food. I had already bought a drink (which comes with free refills I don’t even use), but she still said no. I tried to explain, but no luck. I’ll still stop by for a drink now and then, but I won’t be ordering food here again. Note to the owners: little things matter. Letting a paying customer have a handful of chips builds loyalty. Taking that away does the opposite. If chips are out for everyone, what difference does it make if I buy a drink, a taco, or a tamale? I’m still a customer. Other restaurants include chips with a meal, but here they’re sitting out self-serve.
