Went with my man last night to this lovely steakhouse for the first time. The hostess greeted us warmly, even asked if we were there for a special occasion, and seated us promptly to a table that had been set up for us. From there we were greeted by a lady named Syd, she had a consistent cheerful disposition that was refreshing amd warm upon every check up. She offered excellent recommendations and pairing options. Took our whole order and timed everything for us so we could enjoy ourselves. As for the food and drinks: We started with an Anabella wine and a Wellers old fashioned, both of which paired wonderfully with the flavorful rabbit and rattlesnake sausage. Syd had mentioned the appetizer came with three, and offered to add a forth without issue. The next course we chose was our entrees. I had a thick, succulent new York strip, and my main squeeze had the Bison Ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. The sides we chose had us floored. Mushrooms, truffle risotto, and the mashed potatoes. Each of them so unique and had us both going back for more. Of course, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and Syd boxed our leftovers quickly for us. Excellent service, wonderful food, great environment.
AMAZING!! Everything about this place will not disappoint. From the greeting when you walk in to our Awesome service, amazing food, great drinks, Fantastic Jazz music to the GM Ken making you feel like you are a regular and part of their family. I highly suggest checking this place out and enjoy the best high class experience at a reasonable price that I have ever found across the US. Phenomenal service and food! From first course to last - incredible! Noah was our server at a community table in the bar and we couldn’t have asked for a more hospitable and friendly server! We were in town for dinner he daughter’s try out at the school of music at UNT! The mgr and Noah surprised us with donuts to top off the best experience. If she ends up at UNT we can’t wait to bring family and friends here! Top notch!!!
Last night was the first time at Queenie’s. Everything about this restaurant was exceptional. From the service at the bar, to our wonderful waitress, to the delicious food. It is definitely a place I will return.
My husband & I just went to Queenie’s for the first time, for my birthday dinner this past weekend & I can’t say enough good things about it…everything from the cool vibe & atmosphere with the live music & awesome decor when we walked in, to the fantastic food, yummy festive drinks & such fantastic service was all top notch…We were first greeted by Ken as we walked in, who shared that there was live music that night, starting soon (which was the first plus because who doesn’t love a little live music & a glass of wine) & then upon sharing we were celebrating my birthday, collectively we all joked that it was my 21st birthday, when I’m obviously not in my 20’s anymore, but from that moment it became one of our best nights out ever…upon sitting down nearly every team member who walked by or brought our drinks, appetizer, dinner, etc took the time to come to our table to wish me a happy birthday, some even going along with the joke of wishing me a happy 21st birthday, which made me laugh each time…this, in addition to absolutely fantastic service from our server Noah & his fellow teammates, along with a delicious steak & sides and ending a wonderful meal with Noah delivering a surprise birthday cake & sparkler candle to our table, which was personalized to go along with the 21st birthday theme, has now made Queenies one of our new favorite spots…from the absolutely delish food, yummy & festive cocktails to impeccable, personalized service, we couldn’t recommend it anymore & can’t wait to go back again, even without it being one of our birthdays!! Amazing service & experience from beginning to end & us having told many of our family & friends about it already, it’s clear where we’ll be taking them for our dinner together as well…LOVE love them & can’t wait until our next visit!!
Second time dining at Queenie’s and both have been fantastic! My wife and I had a casual but delicious dinner seated at the bar - the staff made excellent recommendations and provided great service. Try this place - you’ll be glad you did!! We will be back again soon. (Bonus: Queenie’s has a great music selection / playlist, too…)
My wife and I came from Garland to Denton for an event. We had no idea what we were going to do for dinner, but we just randomly happened upon Queenie's. Our server, Tori, was both eloquent and encyclopedic about the menu and the specials. Tori recommended the Brown Butter Old Fashioned to start and it was amazing. A classic drink with a clever twist with the butter. Tori talked us into the sliders with fois gras and I am so glad she did. Something so simple, executed so well that both of us were speechless while we finished them. My wife decided on the fried trout and I had the cheeseburger. Despite seeming like basic menu items, both dishes were elevated well beyond what you would expect. The trout was flaky and the batter was crispy without being greasy. The meat blend for the burger was incredible served with potatoes both crispy and creamy inside. Ken came to our table to check with us about a meal. We talked briefly, but his passion about the restaurant was obvious. At the end, we were both so full we hadn't even considered dessert, but there was Tori, telling us all about the desserts, and we decided that if they were as good as everything else, we couldn't miss. We shared the butterscotch creme brulee and the tres leches cake. Absolutely magnificent, both. Denton regulars probably already know what I'm going to say, so if you want amazing food, with great staff and and top notch atmosphere, you must stop here.
What can we say? Queenie’s has been our spot for every major celebration, life event, and even for the nights we just wanted a nice drink and good conversation. We are so sad to be moving from Denton but a major highlight of our time in Texas has been Queenie’s. Yes the food is delicious, hands down, but the genuine connection forged by and with Ken, Katie, Torrie, and the whole crew is warmth and hospitality like we’ve never experienced anywhere else. Queenie’s is in our hearts and has set the (very high) bar for all other establishments. Go to Queenie’s, we can’t wait to visit again. 🥹💕💯
Made a reservation for my birthday and I will say i enjoyed it! Its pricey but for good reason as its high quality food and service. You know that show "Bear" that's how I felt as a guest. The service was magnificent, they greet me by name, I got to meet the chef and my wife ran up the bill 😆 I definitely recommend giving this a try especially if it's for a special occasion.
Dined here with a large work party about 3 months ago and it was fantastic. With our large party we ordered almost every item on the menu and everyone was very happy with their food, in both taste and presentation. We also enjoyed mixed drinks which were made proper and did not disappoint. Really great atmosphere of old building meets new in a clean professional way. It was a bit loud where we sat which was not a big deal but it did detract from the space as a whole. Our server was exceptional and very attentive. We will definitely be back and I hope everyone has a great dinning experience as we did.
We had the chicken and LOVED it. Our waitress was AMAZING (Ryan- not sure if I’m spelling correctly!) and Ken was so gracious. It was our first time. I’d come here 100000+ times and rate it 100 stars. Thank you for a fantastic experience.
The atmosphere is cozy, romantic, warm, and inviting, complemented by absolutely delicious food and exceptional drinks. It’s easily one of the best dining spots in Denton. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is Ken. He genuinely understands hospitality and what it means to make every guest feel welcomed and cared for. Aside from the delicious food, Ken is the reason why I will dine again and again. Thank you, Ken.

I had a great dining experience with top shelf service. The menu is similar to Lonesome Dove in the Fort Worth Stockyards, but the food here is better.
Incredible Steakhouse. The service was top notch. Our experience with Tori was incredible. The food was amazing and delicious. From the starters, to the main course and the amazing desserts. What an incredibly amazing experience. Highly recommended.
Exceptional service and food. Looking forward to going again. Marina, our server was fun and attentive. The smoked mezcal cocktail was excellent. Throughly enjoyed the elk sliders, garlic stuffed steak and crispy potatoes. Btw, the patio is a hidden gem especially with nice weather.
Everything the overview says is correct! The food, service, and atmosphere is absolutely phenomenal I was blown away by how good everything is. Everyone from the owner, waitresses, and hostess were super friendly and attentive I felt so catered to on my birthday like a princess and that doesn’t even describe the food. I’ll have to go back and try more items but my cowboy burger was fantastic as was the tenderloin my husband had. Also a fine restaurant downtown with its own parking lot you can’t beat this place! If you have a special occasion or just want some good food go to Queenie’s Steakhouse, oh and try the donut holes for dessert!
Romantic. Refined. Ridiculously Delicious. Queenie’s is definitely on the $$$ side, but every dollar felt like an experience—and a delicious one at that. The drinks were expertly made (no weak pours here), and they went all out for our birthday celebration. I wish I had more pictures, but the second those entrées hit the table, my phone didn’t stand a chance. I was fully in steak-mode. And then—surprise! Dessert and singing appeared out of nowhere like culinary magic. It was the sweetest ending to an already unforgettable night. The vibe is this perfect blend of romantic and hip—dim lighting, polished energy, and a staff that’s not just kind but genuinely knowledgeable. They make you feel like you belong there, even if you showed up just for the birthday cake. Now, let’s talk about the Tomahawk steak. It haunts my dreams in the best, most buttery way. Perfectly cooked, flavorful to the bone (literally), and an absolute showstopper. I haven’t stopped thinking about it. And the sides? Don’t sleep on them. I am spiritually levitating above those buttery potatoes. Every side dish we tried was a knockout—from the greens to the mac, everything was seasoned and cooked with serious love. If you’re looking for an elevated night out, Queenie’s delivers elegance with a side of flavor fireworks. Dress up, bring your appetite, and prepare to fall in love with a steak.
For our 30th anniversary, hubby and I chose Queenie's Steakhouse. We had a wonderful time!! Queenie's is located in the heart of Denton. Parking can be tricky, but Queenie's is definitely worth it. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated quickly. Our server was sweet and appeared magically by our table whenever we needed her. For appetizers, we ordered the elk sliders and rabbit-rattlesnake sausage. Delicious!! Hubby was seriously considering ordering some sliders to take home. Our second courses were butter lettuce and Texas red chili. Both were yummy, although Hubby swears the chili was better than the lettuce. Finally, our main courses were the beef tenderloin and NY strip with mash potatoes and mac and cheese. To be honest, we were positively stuffed by the time our entrees arrived, but we still dug in. Hubby's steak was perfect, and my beef tenderloin was melt-in-your-mouth good! We brought most of the entrees and sides home because we wanted to save room for dessert. For dessert, we chose the Ancho Chile Chocolate Cake. It was the perfect ending to our meal. Thank you Queenie's for making our 30th anniversary so memorable!!
Amazing anniversary dinner!!! The whole team made our 10th anniversary dinner a treat! The dinner was DELICIOUS 🤤 From paprika shrimp and buffalo cauliflower with blue cheese appetizers to NY strip and bison sirloin, everything was perfect! The steak left my husband speechless - it was that amazing!
9/4/24 had dinner around 730pm. This was from start to finish one of the best overall meals/restaurant experiences I've had anywhere in the country in years! Forgive that I don't have names, but from the gentleman who sat me and the service staff their attention to detail and sincerity was fantastic. The food was absolutely ridiculous in the best way! I had the buffalo cauliflower which was perfectly done, slightly crispy and tremendous flavor. Next, the chili that was excellent mix of spice and comfort! Then, the carrots with creme that might as well have been a delicious dessert and the tenderloin with plaid mash and asparagus. The texture was spot on mixed between the veggies and shoestrings. Done perfectly and like candy! Then, the dessert....oh my lord the dessert. The chocolate ancho cake....honestly, this was the best dessert I've had in my life. I would have taken 10 more to go if it wouldn't have been embarrassing. Just insane. You MUST hit this place when in town and drive to it from anywhere. Just AWESOME!
My husband and I went here for our anniversary and Queenie's did not disappoint! The food was delicious. My husband had steak and I had the salmon. We had the chicken fried quail for our first course which was a great start to the meal. If you like Mac and cheese, they have some of the best as a shareable side. The cannolis for dessert were so yummy! Our waitress was very attentive, informative of anything on the menu and friendly. The ambiance was romantic with music playing in the background with a talented live classic guitar player. I highly recommend them for any special occasion, especially an anniversary.
Food is okay but clearly overpriced! I had to look hard to see my side in my plates. The beef was good but place like salt grass has the same quality of meat for half of the price. Stake house wise you can find better cheaper in DFW. Wine list is good. Service is great. Desert list is ridiculous bad (over sweet option). The donuts are disgusting. Honestly I will not recommend this place to anyone it will be a waste of time and money. Also spend some money to weather proof your windows. It was freezing inside. Pretty much everyone was wearing their coats because it was so cold!
Service was amazing, very friendly and attentive staff Slightly overpriced however the food delivered a pretty good flavor for us. I enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer dish and chicken breast was perfectly cooked.
The food was delicious and flavorful. I would give 5 stars but I do not like shredded beef in my chili .. however my friends loved it! The service was outstanding! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very patient with my questions. The atmosphere was cute and quaint which I liked.
