The quality of the meat was exceptional. My steak was cooked exactly to order, perfect seasoned snd incredibly delicious. Staff were friendly and genuinely knowledgable about menu and cuts of meat. They offered great recommendations. Prices were very fair for the quality. Would happily recommend it to anyone looking to eat great steak.

The food here was fantastic! Everything we got was perfect, obviously its a bit expensive but the quality of food and service is really good! You definitely need to book in advance but its worth the wait.

To be honest this is a must eat place. From start to finish. The team are so friendly and attentive nothing is to small. We tipped €25.00 cash that's how good it was. The food is perfect, honestly I'm a harsh critic but I couldn't fault anything. 10 out of 10. The starters are perfect sizes we had a share platter and shared a dessert. The flavours, presentation, ambiance just everything is honestly perfect. They have a delightful array of cocktails, we had just one each and all I can say is get here as soon as you can. We will be back again and again. A birthday made very special. 🥰

I love this place. The chefs and the service is just incredible. It’s rare I see a negative review and when I do I’m shocked at what people complain about. Some people you just can’t please but do yourself a favour and dine here. You will not be disappointed and if you are maybe you’re one of those types 😂

Came here for date night and it was fantastic. We didn't drink wine because we were driving and found it to be great value in this sense. I would highly recommend and plan to eat here again. Service from all was exceptional. I saved scraps as a treat for my Irish Wolfhound, and they came out with lots more and a few tomahawk bones which was greatly appreciated. Great vibes and great experience!

Five star meal with a five star service! Enjoyed an evening with some great colleagues and was fortunate to get a booking in this amazing restaurant. Food was great - from starters through till dessert. The day ended with a card payment issue though as their machines were playing up. Came back an hour later to settle the bill. Comes recommended.

Feels like home. Warm service plus nice food love the tacos, n the scallops are delicious and nice presentation!

Probably the best steak in Dublin, and the rest of the food is delicious too. The service is always great. The Sunday roast is a great deal, and also delicious of course.

After 3 incredible visits here I can comfortably say Butcher Grill is my favourite place in Dublin, the food is incredible, the cocktails are delicious, the atmosphere, vibe and layout of the restaurant is so cosy and intimate, and the staff, oh the staff, the customer service is 10/10 every time . They go above and beyond and just make every visit special. If you're looking for a treat, do yourself a favour and head here

Incredible dining experience! The food, especially the Côte DE Boeuf is divine, cocktails are delicious and the service was great. Honestly can't fault a thing and has now become my new favourite steakhouse in Dublin.

Fantastic food. We have been several times for the Sunday Roast and it never fails to deliver. I'm particularly a fan of the roast beef which is always cooked perfectly. The potatoes, peas and carrots, stuffing and gravy are also awesome. We usually get a dozen oysters as well which are so fresh and spectacular, and the Bloody Mary is highly recommended.

1st time here and defo went be the last. Everything was perfect, the food and the service. Steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were delish not to mention the cheese cake... wow.... Great restaurant

As always a grand experience, the meats are perfectly prepared, side dish flavours are amazingly complimebtary to the Irish beef. Staff always super friendly, wine and cocktails delicious! We had the beef tartare and the tomahawk and we'll be dreaming of coming back until we make it to Dublin again!

Walked in quite late on a Saturday, but they were able to squeeze me in. Service was great. Helpful with answering questions and very prompt. Delicious 'Ole Smokey cocktail to begin. Had a halibut dish that was divine. Pan seared, with grilled asparagus, potato mille-feuille and some gambas shrimps.

My dinner was a surprise as I am a very fussy eater regarding food. The meal I had were mouthwatering and the cocktails were gorgeous. The staffs were just great, despite a busy place it’s hard to deliver food and service at a level but I was impressed. ✨✨

Small, intimate, full visibility to the food being cooked. I had a modest filet mignon medium rare and it was outstanding. Cauliflower cheese on the side was delicious. I recommend a smoked whiskey cocktail too - it's special ;-)

Gorgeous steak restaurant, the staff are very professional and the ambience is great! The place is small so you’ll need a booking. We had the prawns & scallop special to start and the chateaubriand for mains.. the portions were perfect. My only flaw is they don’t serve peppercorn sauce with the steak which I love! In fairness, the steak was so tasty it didn’t need any sauce.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Very attentive. The tomohawk steak was a sight to behold and cooked perfectly. The cocktails were good but the measures were a bit much. Overall really great and recommended!

Absolute class, beef was perfectly seared, onion rings were soo crispy, but my favourite is definitely the cheesy cauliflower. Oysters were fresh and reasonably priced. Super speedy service as well and super impressed by the bartender who seems to do many other roles too!

Had a fabulous meal here last night. From start to finish, I could fault nothing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We had a scallop and a prawn starter with Cote de Bouef to share. All delicious. I was sceptical about a ginger and rhubarb creme brulee bit it was so nice. Highly recommended.

The steak is really great! I really like it! I was in a hurry today and didn’t have time to taste the desserts. I will go there next time.

What a great local Ranelagh steak institution. Visited this place twice and both times an absolute delight! Definitely check out the tasty starters like prawns or the beef tartar - we shared starters since the portions a quite big - I would suggest to make the portions a smaller since the main course is most likely going to be a hearty and delicious steak grilled to perfection. We had the châteaubriand (prime filet steak) which is also designed to be shared - stunning! The very friendly staff made this evening a fantastic night out in Ranelagh! Consider a nice bottle of wine - the Sancerre (french white wine from Loire region) for the starters and the Amarone (italian wine from the veneto area) for the steak!

Love love love this place. We shared a dish and the sides were great sizes too. Wine selection is great and cocktails were excellent.

I've only been for brunch, the steak eggs were delicious and the fries that come with them are fantastic. They serve the main steak dishes as well, as well as non-steak stuff which looked very good, will definitely try again.

Roast beef to share - fab dinner overall, best 'Roast Beef' I've had out. Was perfect amount of food - I definitely could have eaten more meat though. Great atmosphere - Upcoming Hip Bar vibe with rustic seating. Place was very full & in demand. Will go back - steaks looked amazing :)

Fantastic place for true lovers of the red meat! They keep the menu (cuts from Ireland, the USA and Uruguay) simple and the meat is seared to perfection. Startes and deserts are not needed given the amazing main course, but definitely worth it if you've got some room. The atmosphere is intimate, rustic and elegant. The service was excellent.

Everything you expect from a steak restaurant. Top service, small yet cosy and top notch quality. Not fine dining but just straight up delicious food. Special thanks to our host who was both attentive and welcoming. Would Recommend to a friend!

Great grill restaurant, went for a dinner with my wife, cocktails were great, coffee was perfect, the steak was well cooked, sides were great, cauliflower cheese that was well balanced, onion rings that were crispy. I had the halibut, it was gorgeous, cooked perfectly, prawns were crispy and flavourful, the beans and veg added to the dish. Expensive meal, €150 Inc. drink and tips, but a lovely meal I could not fault.

Worth every penny. Such amazing food and I would go there every week if I could. Highly recommend

We sat at the bar which is a very nice experience. You get to have a sneak peak at the chefs in action and also the cocktail maker. The steak is fantastic - cooked perfectly. Sides were delicious, especially the smokey beans. Very cozy in there. Can be a little loud for a couple but if you're in a group it's perfect.

Went on Friday night in a group of 4 . The cocktails were amazing to start . We ordered oysters, tuna tostadas & buratta and all were delicious. The steaks were the best I have ever tasted in Dublin, perfectly cooked & seasoned. The meat was so tender & flavorsome, top quality meat . We had an outstanding waitress Adraina who gave outstanding service & advice on our wine & food choices. She was excellent, efficient & made our visit special. She is a fantastic asset to the restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed & great fun , thank you guys for making my 60 th birthday celebration so special!! Can’t wait to return soon , keep up the excellent standard of food & service Alan

Service was amazing, staff are greatly friendly. and food was lovely. But the burger didn't worth the 20 euros... Next time I'll try a steak maybe it was my mistake getting burger rather than steak but still.....pricy burger... The starter was lovely and the place looks nice. Try the cauliflower with cheese, I loved it and the onions with the burger were nice, no need for chips, believe me.

Snug venue, with really good food and healthy portions. Had a dozen oysters, a chicken Sunday roast with a bottle of white wine, finished with a deconstructed cheese cake - all ordered for 2. Price was ~€110. The only bother for me was the high tables. They are a bit uncomfortable to sit in as the foot stands are pretty small. Otherwise the atmosphere, service and pace at which food was served was all stellar.

The meat is top notch, perfectly cooked and delicious. The tartare was excellent as well. I do wish they gave their sides some love, they are nothing to write home about. Same with their desserts. The music needs some attention too, all you need is constant banging. Its loud enough inside maybe something more jazzy will do the trick.

The ribs were slightly overcooked, and the food was nothing extraordinary. I’d rate the food 3/5, the atmosphere 3/5, and the service 5/5.

Food was fantastic and definitely rated 5 stars. We thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails too. The best meal we had had in Dublin until the bill arrived with an unwelcome, punative and totally unjustified EUR 70 surcharge for a large group. We were 5 adults but were seated at a table for 4 with a chair placed uncomfortably on the end. The female Manager/waitress had even verbally commented to us that the table was too small for 5 when serving our food. Naturally we questioned the charge and the Manager was sent over who was brusque and clearly irritated. She said this was a standard charge applied by all restaurants in Ireland (it isn't) that it was clearly mentioned on the menu (it wasn't and nor was it when I called to make the reservation) and that we only had to say and they would take it off (which they ungraciously did). There was absolutely no justification whatsoever for imposing any extra charge. In fact, quite the reverse as they had had 5 three course dinners and drinks from a table of 4. Quite honestly it simply felt as if we were being ripped off. The Manager's attitude was frankly rude and disrespectful. A real pity as up until then we had had a great experience which was completely ruined by unnecessary greed and poor handling of the matter.

Steak was cooked to medium perfectly but lacked a crust and proper seasoning. Not worth the €140 they are asking for the tomahawk. Sides also rather plain, once again no seasoning. Would not recommend going for the food but I would for the service but expect to pour your own wine and then also tip at the end.
