I had a great experience at this Denny’s! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and made sure everything we needed was taken care of quickly. The manager also came by our table to check in, which made us feel really welcomed and valued as guests. It’s not easy to find such warm and professional service these days, so I truly appreciate the effort they put into making our visit enjoyable. Definitely a place I would recommend and return to!

I’ve had my fair share of experience at other dennys but this one by far is the best, so good that I just had to leave a review!!! First of all walking into the place it was so clean you could eat off the floor! My food was hot and fresh I enjoyed my chocolate chip pancakes! Thankful for the team at this location! Great dining experience!

Denny’s on Mollison in El Cajon is a reliable, cozy diner open nearly 24/7 with solid, affordable comfort food. The menu delivers everything from savory Slams to value friendly $2–$8 plates. What really sets this location apart is the staff, and especially the manager, Lucio. He once noticed I was off with my meal and personally stepped in to make things right, leaving me smiling and promising to return. Clean, friendly, and well run this Denny’s goes above the typical chain expectations.

Stopped by for dinner and had the privilege of being served by Evelyn. The whole experience stood out to me from the fair pricing of the food, the quality and the amazing customer service from Evelyn. It was like she was reading my mind and I never had to ask for the usual things I ask for. Evelyn's level of professionalism, kindness, attention to detail and consideration stood out and was very seen and appreciated.

I have heard a lot of Denny´s from my uncle, who is frequently visiting the USA. So for my first visit in the states, I had to make sure to stop at Denny´s. It was totally worth it! Great service, super friendly employees and delicious food! Portions are huge and coffee is being refilled non stop. We liked it at lot and came back a few days later.

We arrived here off the Mollison exit on the I-8 because we wanted a snack to curb our appetite before our long drive through the desert. Granted it was an odd time being 2:30 in the afternoon to catch some lunch. There was a lot of construction, but the signs said they were still open so we took our chances and went in. It was pretty dead in there. The wait staff was milling around talking and giifing around with each other. The cashier was busy talking to a customer and said she would be right with us. My friend went to the bathroom and I sat in a booth with no menu or any greeting. So I got up after a few minutes and went over and got my own menus. My friend rejoined me at the booth and we sat there waiting. We were totally ignored. I saw the cashier finished talking with a customer and then she fiddled around under the desk and looked at some receipts. I was watching her burning up because she did not still give us any attention this went on for 10 minutes I was going to walk out but my friend was hungry. I saw her go by the water and soda fountains and my friend said it's okay she's going to get us water. She fiddled with something there by the water and drink station but she didn't fill up anything. I was starting to get mad so instead of leaving, I called out to her and said Hey where's the $2 $4 $6 menu. She had the audacity to still say I'll be right with you... it's like okay lady we have already been here over 10 minutes and you haven't gotten to us yet and we are sitting here with no water nothing. Two other bus boys and a waitress were talking and socializing as if no customers were present. She finally started to get us some menus. She glanced over to us and noticed that we already had menus. She came over to sell us some Star Wars cards and said we would break even if we bought $3 for the cards and cashed in the $5 coupon anything over $20. I don't know where she's getting her math but we rejected that offer. I was upset but I just looked at the menu and then she left I said can we have some water please I was ready to raise hell. I ordered $ 4.99 breakfast two eggs hash browns and biscuits and gravy. It was pretty good. They gave me a lot of hash browns. My friend had a grilled cheese sandwich and a salad. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Then our waitress became extremely friendly but then the problem was that the two guys and another staff member kept talking loudly like they were in their living room. They were talking about this and that and laughing like they were the only people in the room. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was also another couple eating in there but the 4 staff members ignored us and kept chit chatting. It was very uncomfortable and loud and annoying. It really ruined our dining experience. That will be the last time we ever go in there. The cashier / waitress saw me taking pictures and the other girl went over to her and said hey that lady is taking pictures and she said oh okay well maybe she wants to tell her friends about this place or take a picture of her food a lot of people do that. They were all talking and laughing and joking and high-fiving like we didn't exist. And the other girl said no I don't think so. So then they came over to us and were extremely friendly because maybe they knew I was going to write a review on them. The cashier Wages said is everything okay are you sure and I said yeah fine I was over it by then. I think their manager would like to read this review. They need to be told that when a customer comes in there it's a professional attitude only and you service them when they come in. You never let them sit and wait without water. If the cashier is busy then somebody else should get it.

The server was really nice but the service was soooo slow.. there were a lot of employees working but it took over 30 min for food to come out and there weren’t that many people dining in.

It was uncomfortably cold, even the butter wouldn't melt because the broccoli got cold really fast. We had to take our food to go because the cold air was making me hurt. The side entrance was open. Chicken was over done. The bus boy was awesome though! Seemed like to go orders got put in before in person customers. The waitress even got the order wrong for the customer behind us. Gotta wear a mask but the waitress still touched everything... so that seemed pointless.

Visiting from Ohio. Stopped at this Dennys around 230pm. Was immediately greeted and instructed to sit at one of the middle booths (note I wasn't seated by the hostess). As I patiently waited, in direct clear view of the counter, kitchen, and hostess - who is also the waitress, I observed the waitress tending to all the existing three tables and the two people who came in after me. For approximately 10 minutes, I closely waited as she casually ignored me while carefully attending to everyone else. At times, I knew for certain that the cups of water, silverware set, and menu was coming my way but nope she never made it my way. I got up and walked out. As I walked out, I watched her observe me leaving. There was no unruly exchange or apparent attitude of some sort to warrant why I wasn't being provided service. I'm a firm believer in not making a fuss about spending my money where I'm clearly not welcomed. I walked out and went across the street to the Taco Shop - is by far one of the best food and service I've experienced since arriving in San Deigo three days ago.

She talked to others with a better a tone customer service is lacking and I waited to be seated and no greeted as I waited just ignored she was rude right off back killed the whole vibe. Let’s say came in after a long shift at work : 3:50 am was told to come in after 4 am they are closed so went to my car came back at 4:04 am and server looked irritated to see us back. But I was tired and hungry..: was sat in a booth :: ordered the smoked house Mac and cheese and received burnt hard steak … honestly looked like charcoal it was burn black .when we asked server if she can have it remade she said “actually a that’s how it comes” I understand coming in at certain times food may not be the best but to receive this type of food is definitely inaceptable.. once food was brought server never checked on the table until the end. By now 4:48 am to ask If we needed anything when we asked for just soda as we were irritated.. server came back with check and took the meal off at this point didn’t really make much of a difference for the experience and not haven ate ..:Very disappointing. Will not ever be coming here again. Server needs customer service training .cook needs retraining as well.! Please avoid coming in around 4 am . Worst of the worst . Reason why I left a 1 stars because I couldn’t leave anything below that .
