The whole restaurant was perfect. The music they played, the food, the atmosphere, everything was spectacular. The service was incredibly quick too.
The food was incredible with large portions. There is a vast choice of meat and tacos and Jose gave us some incredible suggestions.
We usually only go to the wynwood location and we’re a bit suspect of the current reviews on google. This location is much nicer due to off busy street location as well as not being overly packed. We were able to order immediately as we walked in, sat wherever we wanted (indoor/outdoor bar for us ;)). Food didn’t take long to show up and we all enjoyed our meals. Tacos and burrito bowl with some freshly served mojitos and specialty drinks from the menu!
This is my first time here at Coyo in Las Olas and great experience. I always go to the one in Wynwood which is by my house. I loved this spot ! Jose was incredible
My fav taco place !! Best veggie tacos ever (they have plaintain and cauliflower and I still cannot really decide which one is better so I always get both!) Nice outside seating area and cute bar. Fast service as well. They have Taco Tuesday specials. 10/10 would recommend.
Such a fun spot right off Las Olas! Great food, amazing happy hour, and the drinks are fantastic.
The best. I love Jose the best bartender & piccolo the bird. #tacos
Saw a segment on CBS News Miami about their new location downtown Fort Lauderdale and we immediately hopped in the car to try them out! And they didn’t disappoint!! Let’s start out with their service: we sat at the outside bar and had “Jah” as the bartender and she made our experience that much more wonderful! She was conversational and super engaging while we waited for our food! Now our food: WOW!!! Definitely a must try! Their tacos were flavorful and crafted for the ultimate foodie experience! The guac was on point! I definitely recommend this place for their attention to detail, friendly and welcoming staff (Especially Jah!!) and food that delivers as they promised!
This place so such a wonder Mexican spot! Food, alcohol, and service is amazing!! I feel like not a lot of people know about it this location cause there’s no IG page for it but trust me the food and everything is amazing. You won’t regret going. This place is such a vibe! Check it out!!
I turn to Coyo Taco for so many events I need catered. It is always a hit! We had a great little taco bar with quesadillas and churros for dessert. Everything was a crowd pleaser!
The food and service were both excellent. We will definitely be back. They took very good care of us and even gave us a churro on the house. We were waited on by Jose and thank you for the wonderful lunch and service.
It was a great experience, although it was a little busy, there was an adequate amount of staff that made everything run like clock-work. The server/cashier/busser were all extremely welcoming & knowledgeable and made great recommendations. FYI: Margaritas were "Okay", but Blue Long Island were made to perfection.
What a place Recently coming to light. I got the carne asada on the top and pollo Al carbon on the bottom. The pollo tacos were amazing. The chipotle aioli has a nice kick and goes great on the tacos. The burrito seemed to be lacking in meat which is a shame cause it’s good. All the salsa tastes fresh. The location is nice. Good music and possibly live music some nights. The interior lighting is quite nice and the surround outside is nice. They have a inside and outside bar.
Last night, I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional customer service at CoyoTaco, and Cesar was the star of the evening. From the moment we walked in, he greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel like we were the most important guests in the restaurant. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he took the time to explain various options, offering personalized recommendations that hit the mark. Cesar’s attentiveness throughout the meal was impeccable. He checked in just the right amount, ensuring our drinks were topped off and we had everything we needed without being overbearing. What really stood out, though, was his genuine enthusiasm for his work—he made us feel like part of the CoyoTaco family, and that’s a rare quality in a server. When one of our dishes arrived slightly off, Cesar quickly took care of the issue with professionalism and a positive attitude, ensuring we were completely satisfied. The level of care and attention to detail he provided turned an already great meal into an unforgettable experience. Thanks to Cesar, I will definitely be returning to CoyoTaco soon, and I highly recommend anyone visiting to ask for him. It’s clear that he’s passionate about providing outstanding service!
We ordered takeout on our last night in Fort Laudable from Coyo Taco and we were not disappointed. We ordered two vegetarian and two seafood/fish tacos and all were fresh and delicious! Would recommend.
My boyfriend and I are from California so we have the best tacos there so we were shocked how amazing the tacos and burrito! Highly recommend the carne asada alambre tacos and carna asada burrito. We finished having a churro so amazing!! Definitely be coming back!! They have great happy hour menu as well!
It has been years since I wanted to try this place. Each time I made an attempt to make it, The Wynwood location was always packed. It is so pleasant to have the Fort Lauderdale location. So much more relaxed for sure. I understand the hype now, the tacos are sooo good. Their service and promptness is excellent. I can’t wait to go back. All the tacos are excellent.
Follow @eatzwithsweetz on ig and fb for more! Service was great. I came in with a large party and they sponsored free Margaritas. Very spacious, plenty of seating. It was Tuesday and it was pretty busy but the food came out quickly and it was delicious. I loved the AL Carbon plant based tacos. Very delicious
This place was a 10/10!! The service was amazing. Shout out Eric who was awesome. The food was GREAT!! Started with chips and guac and elote and both were amazing. We tried tons of tacos and burrito bowls and all tasted great. Even the churros were so delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone!!! Great food and service.
Always a good option for either dine-in or take out if craving Mexican. I've really been enjoying their quesadillas lately especially with plantains inside. Guacamole and salsa is always delicious too. They have a croqueta taco available for the month of March at all locations + on Door Dash that is super flavorful. Worth trying!
Awesome experience here! Birria tacos and plantain tacos with added birria were the move! Also tried adding birria to one of the salads and it was phenomenal! Isha our bartender was helpful and very friendly with the recommendations! Will definitely be back here soon!

We are Mexicans and we are so happy to find delicious Mexican tacos, cochinita, birria and the most delicious cocktails with the best tequila! We love CoyoTaco and the service and everyone are AMAZING! Thank you CoyoTaco

Came to this nice restaurant today and the experience was amazing! Martina and Kass were both so helpful and very attentive. Food was a 10/10!
KASS was absolutely amazing. Beyond accommodating with two crying toddlers. Her customer service paired with absolutely delicious food made for an amazing post cruise meal. Can’t wait to be back as our friend lives across the street
Cass and her team took care of us so well this morning! All of her employees have great menu knowledge as well as the kitchen! One of the line cooks came out and asked if everything was okay and that is so appreciated. Slight language barrier, but we got through it nonetheless! :) Martina and Agostina were also very pleasant to work with.
We’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now and happened to be craving tacos today. Our tacos were absolutely stellar, not to mention the prices are unbeatable. We will definitely be back!
Coyo Taco in Fort Lauderdale is a fantastic spot with great vibes and delicious food. Tacos are really tasty, especially, shrimp, al carbon, cauliflower and Grouper.. The Chef, Luis is incredibly friendly and a great guy as well as the rest of the staff, including Steve and Jose. Also they have a really good happy hour and daily specials. I highly recommend this place if your in the area.
We had a great first experience at Coyo in Las Olas! Cas was super nice in helping us with our order. The food was delicious that we ordered twice! We had the birria, ribeye, and carne asada tacos, and also the coyo guac. Music outside was a good volume not too loud. Lots of shade and a nice breeze at the tables outside. So glad we have a location here in Ft. Lauderdale. Can’t wait to come back!

We stopped in for Taco Tuesday, hoping for a fun bite, but it was a bit of a mixed experience. The tacos were good, but the prices felt a bit steep for what you get. They’ve got a bar and both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t very welcoming; the person taking our order didn’t greet us or seem too interested in offering suggestions or talking in general. Overall, the food was solid, but the combination of high prices and lackluster service makes it unlikely I’ll return.
Sven Vogtland and Alan Drummond, co-founded Coyo Taco in the Wynwood section of Miami in 2014. Wynwood has launched a lot of businesses like Zak the baker and Panther Coffee. Vogtland and Drummond along Gabriela Chriboga also opened Miami's first food hall, 1-800-Lucky, in Wynwood in November of 2018. The Wynwood Coyo location is so popular that even Barack Obama stopped by when he was in town. They have plans to open 150 locations all over the country and internationally. The Ft Lauderdale Coyo Taco opened in February of this year on Las Olas Boulevard. They don't have a lot so you are left paying for street parking or in the parking garage. I met my friend here for a Sunday lunch of some tasty tacos and a limited edition sweet dessert. The Coyo menu features of variety of beef, chicken, fish, and pork street tacos along with burritos, bowls, salads, tortas, and quesadillas. They also have a bar serving alcohol and a salsa bar so you can sauce up your food and chips. For my lunch I ordered the birria tacos, made with a stewed beef. You get two in an order for $11 and they were small but flavorful. I also added a pineapple Jarritos as one does. As good as lunch was I was saving room for their special Loco Coco Taco collaboration with Frice Ice Cream located in the Citadel Food Hall in Little Haiti. Following the announcement that the Choco Taco by Klondike would be discontinued breaking hearts everywhere, Coyo Taco along with Frice decided to create their own tribute version, a waffle cone folded into the shape of a taco that's been filled with homemade cinnamon ice cream and dulce de leche syrup, and then partially covered in a chocolate magic shell. While this was an expensive ice cream treat ($9), it was chef made gourmet with top quality ingredients and it was a hefty size making it definitely worth the splurge. While more expensive than other taco restaurants, what brings me back to Coyo is their creativity. I hope they keep it coming.
Good food, but the online menu is faulty. Plantain tacos don't list having crema, so when I ordered mine without cheese they came with crema (not listed in the description and, therefore, with no option to remove) so I had to throw them out.
Not bad but not impressed in my opinion. Meat lacked flavor in all the dishes. The cauliflower taco and the corn ended up as the best dishes. The beans included in the bowl were too think and took over the dish. The food came too fast to be fresh and it was warm but not hot when it was served. The restaurant wasn't busy so here was no excuse. The sauce bar was also not very appetizing. Not all bad though, the atmosphere was good and the bar area was busy.
Ordered for pickup for lunch. The tacos were okay, honestly the size of the taco is for a baby. That takes away from the whole experience of the food. I told the lady that I’m picking up and she prompted to talk in hand signals since she didn’t know English. I was done with my tacos in precisely two bites each. $12 for two baby tacos is kinda insane tho.
Tex Mex style food but with an added bar ambience. Located just off Las Olas Blvd at the heart of downtown. The portion size was fairly large and the food was good but not extraordinary. A couple of tables still had clutter from previous customers. You need to order at the counter and then the food is brought to the table

Food was delicious but Cass was unbelievably mean; not only to us, but to her co workers too. She was very rude to us and made it clear that she doesnt want to be at work. We will not be coming back.
Walked here from our building around middle of July. Happened to be at happy hour. Menu was great & food was delicious. Brought friends back a few weeks later & happy hour menu did not have burritos & other items as it did previously & prices were higher and food was mediocre. Was told by the person ringing us up that they raised the prices & changed the menu for “off season”. So instead of taking care of locals that will come all year they’d rather charge them more.

I order from this place because it’s near my office! And Door dash is for convenience But when I tell you I can’t wait to get off and go inside this place! Not once Not twice NOT three times but this is the fourth time they sent me Burt Taco With dry birria meat I’m pissed and dissatisfied Yall suck! Really bad for this
Nice chill atmosphere with a large source of music. The bartender was very, particularly hard in the drink were great during happy hour.! Definitely returning!
Paid for food and drinks and left a tip on the credit card. When the charge posted to the credit card they added $10 above what we paid and tipped. Called the store and asked about the charge. I was asked to give my phone number and they would text me to provide the date and last 4 numbers of my credit card transaction. They never sent the text, they won’t answer the phone when I call. I’ve emailed them and they won’t respond back. If you go pay cash so you don’t get ripped off
Terrible service. More than 35 min for 2 tacos. I kindly asked one of the waiters and said it was very busy and some people waited like an hour…so then, i guess I am the lucky one… come on!!! What is this level of no service? Have we lost all perspective? A couple of pics. Tops 20 people…10 behind the desk, kitchen, etc… so like four tacos and hour as an average..
MOLD. They sent me the chocolate dip for the churros with visible mold. I am lucky I always check my food before eating. The smell was pungent and sour, and the texture was runny, which clearly shows it has not been stored or refrigerated properly. They also sent me a warm soda like I’m supposed to wait for it to cool in my fridge before drinking it? That can slide. But the biggest issue is the mold. This is a serious food safety violation. Now I’m afraid to eat the burrito, because if the dessert came spoiled like this, there’s no telling how the rest of the food has been handled. I paid $48 to receive unsafe food. This is completely unacceptable. I will not order again and watch out for their crema and sauces as they do not keep refrigerated Time for a food inspection.
A couple of years ago I had the best burrito in my life. The pato burrito from the wynwood location blew my drunken tastebuds into remembering just one thing about that night. When Las Olas location opened I was elated. But upon my arrival the service was cold and bland like the exceptionally overcooked carne asada in my burrito. Also apparently birria quesadillas are sold without birria now. I’ve been to LA $1 taco carts that outperform this service. 10/10 won’t recommend
Ordered take out. Oily. Gross. Does not match pictures or descriptions. Came with only one tiny thing of sour cream. No salsa with chip order. Corn just patted with cheese and spices in random places and not distributed. Chicken side is sickening sweet. Cheap food for $70. Only thing not shown is the churros, which also had only tiny chocolate sauce included.

Food was delicious but the service was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. The girl that took out order was rude & nasty. We asked for her name and she REFUSED to tell us. We finally got her name from someone else that works there and we were beyond terrified that this rude, nasty person Cassandra is the MANAGER. I dont understand how a business can hire someone so rude and off putting and then put them in charge. Next time that we are hungry and in the area, we will keep walking toward a place where we arent treated like trash.
