Shoutout to Teagan and the whole staff on today! Everyone was so kind! But Teagan really took attentive care to help me! I’ll definitely be back! I’d give 10 stars if I could!

I love this little eatery. It's a cozy little hideout to hangout to eat. You can either build your own or choose. No matter what you do, you can't go wrong. The waitstaff is SO AMAZING and warm from entrance to exit. I had the pleasure of visiting this one outside of Dallas. 5 stars plus and I'm a vegetarian. Love it

I see why ALL other locations have Closed. The concept is still in place but this location smelled like a sewer upon opening the front door. They were missing almost ALL of the Dry Spices. The service was okay but our original wait person had only been there 4 days. We never saw her after we placed our initial order. A gentleman kept refilling our water and brought us the bill. The food was Great but the place was empty to be Sunday evening at 6:30.

So I ordered this online for pickup while I was on a pet sitting nearby. I've been eating at Genghis grill for several years, maybe even a couple of decades since my kids were little. I've never had a bad meal at Genghis grill. Until today. I've always had my bowls prepared with fresh cuts of chicken, beef, or fish, then the other ingredients. Decided to order a bowl online and pick one of the chefs specials. This breaded chicken nugget stuff has got to go. This is what I would expect from Panda Express which is a bit more fast food, but I was expecting something more wholesome from Genghis grill. The sauce was okay, but I believe they made my order pretty quick and so it was there and waiting for a while before I actually picked it up. So with the temperature not being hot, and the breaded chicken situation, it just wasn't very good.

It was the 25th Anniversary and it wasn't very crowded when we arrived about 4pm. The restaurant is a bit dated . The staff is friendly even though they were short staffed. We were informed they were out of the 5$ margaritas and only option was 14$ premium one. Which wasn't going to be spent on this visit. They had 5$ small bowls w/ 2.50$ bowl for Genghis rewards members. Which was the reason for today's visit. Everything was fresh on the condiments and was cooked super fast and tasted amazing. Our waiter was ANDY he was nice enough. For quick hibachi style lunch this was a decent price point and meal.

Granted it has been a few years since I’ve visited this location of Genghis Grill, but it has definitely gone downhill. Came in today around 1:30, place had maybe 11 customers total so not busy at all. Ordered the small sesame chicken bowl, hubby ordered teriyaki chicken. His comes out along with most of the other customer’s custom bowls and no sign of my order. I asked the waiter at least twice if there was a problem. He just kept telling me it was coming up soon. Approx. 30 min. later, told them to cancel my order as we had somewhere to be. The manager did finally appear and took care of my husband’s tab and I appreciate that but I will not be coming back to this location.

Update: changed to 2 stars. They have refunded our money. Original: 1 star. I ordered through Uber for Lucky Cat Poke. Lucky cat poke is Genghis grill. My wife and I ordered build-your-own bowls, which had cooked salmon (the salmon wasn't supposed to be cooked), missing avocado, missing ingredients, and overall the most depressing poke bowl we have ever seen. The lady asked if she could had over our name and number to the district manager, yes please. So hopefully he'll give us a call. We will never order from them again.

Do not be fooled by the food pictures . It looked great but was not .We went for a late lunch 1:30p . It was a very empty day. There were only 2 other parties dining . 2 people who were already there and a couple that walked in the exact same time as us. There were 4 of us . We were greeted in a timely manner However that was the best part of the experience . We weren’t checked on after the “order” was placed . My mom had to go ask for a drink refill . When we went to wash our hands before eating the bathroom had water all over the place . The floor was super wet , but not from being mopped from the bathroom sink , no wet floor sign and it was as soon as you walk in. The trays to grab your items to fill your bowl were dirty and sticky , as if they haven’t been wiped down at all . When we received our bowls we thought okay let’s over look these issues . . Nope. The Steak and Chicken both tasted like old meat that was not kept at the correct temperature and resulted in it tasting old . it’s truly never okay for anyone to consume. It was also very warm and muggy inside the restaurant . Overall not a good experience . I will never return to this location . Also a side note : There were about 6 people on shift that I saw. 3 appeared To be servers 1 bus boy 1 toppings coordinator (?) and 1 chef , With this much staff and only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant there is no reason any of these issues should have occurred . Someone should have been wiping the trays , Cleaning the bathrooms and ensuring the establishment was ready for business .

Avoid the meat, it wasn't fresh & the chicken had an odor. The rice was over cooked and the broccoli was just nubs of stalks - no spears. Super disappointed in Genghis Grill :(

Personally i feel that even 1 star is too high, I ordered my food online through the app for a faster pick up time and when we got there i had to tell the servers 4 different times who i was and what I ordered. The craziest part is by the second time he showed ME my receipt and still there was a problem. I told them so many times my name is Caleb i have an online order my wife and i just want to dine in and for sum reason they just couldn’t understand that even after i showed them the online order from my phone. Then we had to deal with an even longer wait time waiting 20 mins after the PICKUP TIME while my pregnant wife has to deal with awful looks and inconsiderateness from these horrible servers. There was one lady who was nice the only one we didnt talk to until the end when we finally decided to leave and get a refund. Would not recommend this location!!!

UPDATE- 7/2022: ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE ‼️ The food was awful and for their small bowl we paid $30 for two, not including drinks (TOTAL WASTE). The customer service was slothful and they acted like it wasn’t a big deal, even the African American Male Manager. With his authority, he has to understand you must ‘lead by example’. The tables and floors needed to be cleaned and even the food selection looked old and full of water, that had been soaking for days. Chan’s Mongolian Grill in North Richland Hills is Far better than this location, and it’s sad because in 2018/2019 I loved this location. Until they do a deep cleaning, fresh food, and better customer service, I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU EAT HERE, especially since the prices are higher. I really like this location. It has a nice Upscale Feel to it, yet Cozy. There are plenty of options to choose from when stuffing your bowl, & right now for a limited time only, the bottomless bowls are back. The bottomless bowls are when you can go back as much as you like, but you can not take any leftovers home, & the bowls to fill, get smaller as you continue to go for another round. The waiters/waitresses are very polite and I have no complaints with the Customer Service. I do however wish they kept cleaner bathrooms (its disgusting‼) and I wish they gave you more noodles with your bowl selection. I also notice that there aren't any eggs on the bar selection, but maybe you have to ask for them, which is an inconvenience b/c there is no sign posted to do so. Other than that, I must say this location is worth visiting. No Genghis Grill to me compares to Kublai Khan in Southaven, MS, (5 stars All the way), but this location has a nice touch beyond the cons I mentioned. Pictured Here is the Lunch Bowl.
