I’ve been coming to gaters since about 2011 when I worked across the street at chase. The food is always amazing and the staff nice. The best thing which is my go to is the garlic chicken platter. I always eat outside when it’s a nice day. Thanks for the outdoor seating

Maaroof and Kumar helped me out. I had a large and complicated order but they were so kind, patient, and helpful! Also, the food was delicious!!

This place is a little gem. Not much ambience or seating but the food was terrific. Everything was delicious, especially the babaganoush which is the best I've ever tasted. The portions were generous and even though they were quite busy with take-out orders, they got our order to us in a reasonable amount of time. Will visit this place over and over again.

I don’t ever take the time to do a review I just don’t have the time. I do feel that this one is necessary and deserved. Hands-down this is the best Arabic food I’ve had in a long time everything is homemade fresh with fresh ingredients in front of your eyes. The workers are professional, courteous and friendly; they make feel welcome and right at home. This is a find! I will be happily coming back!!

I've been coming to this place with my mom since I was a little girl & it never fails !! I even started bringing my husband and kids and they love it! The guys are so kind & sweet, they almost always give my daughters a sweet treat free of charge! Definitely do yourself a favor and come here ❤️

The sight of the chicken cooking in the restaurant looks mouth-watering.

If you thoroughly enjoy excellent Greek food, this is your place. The folks that work here are always friendly, and the food comes out fast! I’ve always enjoyed their falafel, it is delicious. Tonight, my husband tried the chicken shawarma gyro and he said it was perfect. Again, if you’re looking for the best Greek food in Fremont, it’s right here at Gaters!

I'm not too knowledgeable about this type of cuisine in general but this place is special. I deliver food and noticed a long time ago that this kitchen is run by hardworking good people. I've tried the lamb and it's fantastic. I usually will get falafels though and they are so soft. Everything Ive ordered here tastes so nourishing. Again I'm not an expert but for what it's worth coming from me, this place is very blessed.

I honestly couldn’t walk into the store. It looked so uninviting. The walls were so dirty and worn. I know, usually, these are the places with the best food. But it looked so bad, I walked out. I mean, a simple can of paint and maybe one more lightbulb would go a long way.

Food is good, when you can get it. Management is poor. Service is poor. I try to give most places 3 tries before writing it off. The first 2 times, my wife ordered. It took an extra 45 minutes to get food we had paid for an hour earlier. Today, I ordered in person and paid at 10:38 am, with pickup for 12. I called at 11:50 am to be ready for pickup. It's 12:10, and I'm still waiting for my order.

I tried this place out of the blue and ordered lamb gyros and fries. I ordered food before paying attention to how dirty the kitchen was. The worker had made the fries using almost jet black oil and did not wash his hands once before touching my food. The pita was undercooked and mushy. The lamb smelt and tasted terrible. I ended up throwing rest of the food away. I do not recommend eating here.

Extremely unsanitary conditions. There was food waste and garbage everywhere, and the entire place was greasy with a strong, unpleasant smell. I couldn’t stay inside while my order was being prepared. The food might appeal to some, but after seeing the state of the kitchen, I didn’t feel safe eating it. I genuinely doubt that anything is properly cleaned. The experience reminded me of conditions in places struggling with basic hygiene. I would not recommend this restaurant if you care about cleanliness or your health.

So I walked in and got the combo plate he said get the regular and I did but the regular and small is the same amount of meat. I got ripped off and food ain't that great this cost me 17 with tip not worth it you can go somewhere else get twice more food that price another thing wheres the chunks of meat, all the meat looked like crumbs he wrapped up from the bottom and gave it to me. I recommend go somewhere else

Update 12/2022: Still never have anything on their “menu”. And apparently ground beef counts as steak these days. Meat was dry and tasteless. Thought things had changed but I guess not. Save your money and make it at home. 2016: Never has the food I want available. Don't know why they call themselves a restaurant.

They are not serving real shawarma chicken plater and see this picture chicken shawarma stand just show case but they making in grilled chicken. The price are heavy at least need to serve real shawarma and I think they don’t know to make real shawarma or cheating people like

Cook went outside to grab a mat on sidewalk and carried it inside and put it on the floor in the kitchen. He did not change his gloves or wash his hands and immediately grabbed my wrap on the grill with dirty gloved hands. Disgusting never eating here again.

Order via Uber eats under the guise of “vegan falafel spot” which doesn’t exist and I’m actually concerned that a place claiming to be vegan serves meat. We received Greek salad instead of tabouleh. Which was very disappointing considering we chose this place only because we wanted tabouleh. The falafel plate comes with rice and there was not any rice. The wrap was TINY— especially for the price. We feel robbed, frankly. DO NOT COME HERE and do NOT order from a falafel place with the address 3846 Mowry Ave.

The worst kebap place ever. Three type of kebap and look just 2 kofte 1 small piece steak and 2 small piece chicken. But in advertisement everything looks amazing. Im truck driver and im eating all around USA and this is my biggest dissapointment ever.

Ordered thru DoorDash, they charged me 7.71 for 6 pieces of Turkish delight. Ordered the combo plate which the meat is hard as rock and portion tiny. Very disappointing to with the quality of food

Which was very disappointing considering we chose this place only because we wanted tabouleh. The falafel plate comes with rice and there was not any rice.
