Fall off the bone ribs. Melt in your mouth brisket. Good sides. Fantastic barbecue at a good price. Will absolutely return here. Just wish they had brewed iced tea instead of bottled.

Had the pleasure of dining on Rusty Pit brisket at a recent funeral luncheon in Hereford. The brisket and the barbecue sauce were awesome. But of course the Methodist Church Ladies Potluck dishes prolly made the barbecue even better. Thank You for a Great Meal!!!

I've lived and eaten good BBQ in Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, and Georgia not to mention the states I've traveled through. The Rusty Pit is the best I've found. Head Country BBQ in Ponca City Oklahoma is the only other one close to being that good. At my first lunch there while visiting town last week I had the brisket. It had a wonderfully wide and pink smoke ring and was fork tender throughout. Went back the next day for the ribs and was not disappointed. Every bit as good as the brisket. If it's around lunchtime and you're within 40 miles of Hereford, give yourself a treat and head to the Rusty Pit.

Baked potato loaded with beans and brisket was awesome! You have to get there early to have a choice of meats it you wait until 1:30pm there is not much left, which seems like a common issue, what we had was great.

Great BBQ!!! Had all four meats - ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and brisket - over two different lunches (yes...we went back the next day) and they were all fantastic. Owners are awesome, service is great, and food is so good. This place is a gem and a “must try” if you are in the area!

Great food and friendly service. Get there early before they run out. If they are serving green chili stew, give it a try. Be warned, it is not your momma's stew. The brisket was moist and flavorful. Try it without the sauce. The ribs were fall of the bone good. Rumor has it that the proprietor is an accomplished BBQ cook-off competitor.

I picked up the order for my Kinder team and was so glad that I went early. The place was packed, and for a good reason. The food was fresh and delicious. So worth making the trip to pick it up. We will definitely be ordering BBQ from this place again.

You know it's a good spot to eat when it just opens and 15 minutes in you have to ask if they still have certain items still. Definitely worth getting there early. Baked potato is a must order. Getting hungry again just typing this!

Open wed/thur/Friday only. Great pork bbq and a variety of sides and specials. Frito pie is good and the stew (which is unfortunately seasonal....) Is AWESOME. Jalapeno sausage is very good and the family running the place is super friendly and provide great service. We go every week!

A little hard to find, (we're not from Hereford), but worth it. My husband had the stuffed potato, piled high with chopped brisket, pinto beans, and cheese. My brisket sandwich wasn't skimpy. Interesting sauce, not as heavy on tomato as some, and not overly sweet. The only disappointment was the cherry cheesecake pie, more like a pudding shot, not much cheesecake taste, might be better to advertise it as a dessert CUP instead of pie.

Awesome place, nice and clean. It smells amazing when you walk in. Great food with nice flavor. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend going here if your looking for a good BBQ place.

I've been to Rustys a few times, always delicious. Today BBQ KING(thats what I like to call Rusty) really surprised me. I got a pulled pork sandwich. WOW, what flavor, didn't need any sauce, but of course, I put some on it anyway. He's the reigning defending champion of BBQ.

Tasty BBQ, we had the Ribs, Sliced Brisket, and Pulled Pork. All tasty however the brisket could have been better, I found it to be overcooked and dry. That wouldn’t stop me from trying this place again though. Service and ambiance were great, sides were decent, value was excellent (price for quantity). If you’re in the area it’s worth a stop.

The ribs and brisket here are definitely the best around town, hands down. But I've got to say, I'm not thrilled about the sauce situation. It's a bit of a letdown that they charge extra for more sauce, especially when it's nothing special. I was leaning towards giving them 4 stars, but then there's the Mac and Cheese... My buddy and I first tried it and thought it was pretty bland, hoping it was just an off day. But then, eating there again with another friend, it came up again still bland and this time, it felt overcooked. I'm no chef, but even the great value mac and cheese you whip up from a box at home packs more punch. It feels odd to make a big deal out of mac and cheese, but really, it could use some work. That said, the place is good. The Loaded Fries are a must-try. Just maybe skip the Mac Attack and mac and cheese sides.
