This was our first visit to Pappadeaux‘s. We didn’t know what to expect as far as food or prices, but everything was very delicious and reasonably priced. Our server, Briana B, was very attentive and even offered us a dessert for it being our first time at Pappadeaux. Will definitely be returning, especially for the crab and spinach dip. I could go and eat only that and be satisfied.

As always Pappadeaux did not miss a single beat. The food and drinks were superb per the norm but I must say today the service provided by Kobe our waiter made the meal and experience overall top tier. Attention to detail, asked if we had allergies or dietary restrictions, and he made recommendations which was greatly appreciated. Will be back to see him again very soon!!

First time hitting up a Pappadeaux spot and it was an amazing experience. I had the Salmon Alexander with shrimp scallops and crawfish and it was delicious. The Dirty rice was absolutely tasty. Service was top tier and they really took care of us.

Khari and the team behind the bar were all amazing today and had great suggestions as well as conversation with myself and the other guests at the bar. The food is always great at Pappadeauxs, you can't go wrong,no matter what you choose, but I had the blackened crawfish poboy with seafood Gumbo today for lunch and lemme tell you what, that is going into my top favorites list, plus the half a poboy is HUGE, so I'll also be having that for dinner as well. Don't skip on dessert either, especially if you like keylime pie!! 🤤

Dined here for birthday dinner. Party of 10. Ordered Life's a Peach cocktail, cup of shrimp gumbo, and blackened catfish with broccolini. Everything was delicious. Will return to try other items.

Jomauri was an excellent waiter. He was very professional, polite and explain the menu to me. I ask him about a drink option and he explained he would ask the bartender because of his age he doesn’t drink. He was on point with everything. He’s an excellent host. The food was delicious. The manager even came to the table and ask was everything good. Today is July 24, 20025 at 6:41 pm. I enjoyed myself. Jomauri is a keeper.

In fairness to this lovely restaurant, I admit that I am not a fan of seafood. Here goes… Although I went to have dinner with a friend, this is a great place for a romantic dinner with that special someone or to make a good impression on a first date. (Keep in mind that it takes WAY more than a romantic dinner, but it’s a good start. 😊) I had to switch my tea out for a Dr Pepper because the tea was not great, but maybe it was just an off night? The bread was warm and crispy on the outside and soft in the middle- it was perfect. Our meals were good, the dessert I ordered to go was fantastic, but the prices were on the higher end. Overall, it was a good experience. A great restaurant with good food, our waitress was a doll, and we left happy.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and every time I go here the food is on point. I decided to go here for lunch to celebrate my work anniversary and how much I have grown. I am always greeted as soon as I walk in the door and it is always such a nice atmosphere of people enjoying good food. And let me just add I wanted some fried calamari and the crispy salmon with the Alexander sauce and they don’t serve it like that anymore. I asked the waiter if it was possible to get it that way and they were willing to accommodate what I wanted. It is something about that crispy salmon that just melts in your mouth. The Alexander sauce is so good and packed with flavor with a hint of spice. Just goodness to my mouth. I always go to this location because the service is always good and the food is always on point. I even had a little issue and the manager Jazz was so accommodating and willing to work with me.

This was my first time visiting Arpis, even though I learned it’s been there for over 40 years. It is a nice traditional looking deli. The taste of the food was okay and quite a few options. I ordered a shawarma and it was just okay. The humus and Lebanese salad were a little bland. I am more used to going to Fadis. I was able to see Mrs. Arpi while I was there and she’s the cutest lady. I would come back mainly to support her. However, the food needed a little more taste in my opinion and the pitas could have been thicker and warm

We went here last night and had a mixed experience. Our appetizer, mozzarella sticks, were only slightly warm on the inside, and one was cold. I ordered the Atlantic salmon, while it was very tasty, it wasn’t cooked medium as requested. I only had a few spoonfuls of rice, which was cold. My wife ordered the chicken tenderloin; the chicken wasn’t very hot, and the fries were cold and seemed old. We mentioned this to our waitress, who was prompt and attentive, she quickly brought out a new plate. The replacement fries were hot and clearly fresh, which we appreciated. Overall, the main issue was temperature consistency across all the dishes. The flavors were good, and the service was responsive, but the food arriving cold took away from the experience.

I had the crawfish ettoufee and it was good. There was a decent amount of crawfish on a soft bed of rice. The staff was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is very much like a lively lunch vibe. It surprisingly got filled up even before noon. I'll have to come back to try the gator nuggets.

Good service. We had a group but the waiter messed up on one order. This could have been handled quickly but he kept going back and forth with the patron so the manager had to intervene. In spite of this issue, we had a great time.

Arpi’s Phoenicia Deli – A Decent Stop, But Not For Me I recently visited Arpi’s Phoenicia Deli after hearing some buzz about it, and while I can see why others might enjoy it, it just wasn’t the spot for me. The food was good—not bad by any means—but it didn’t blow me away either. I sampled a few different dishes, hoping something would really stand out, but unfortunately, most of them just didn’t hit the mark for my personal taste. And that’s coming from someone who loves Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. I’ve had similar dishes at other restaurants that were more flavorful, better presented, and even more affordable. One thing I will say I was pleasantly surprised by: they had sugar-free baklava, which made me so happy! That was probably the highlight of my visit. It’s not often you find sugar-free options for desserts like that, and it was a nice touch for someone like me who tries to be mindful of sugar intake. So, kudos to them for that! The atmosphere of the restaurant, though, left a little to be desired. It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked—tables had leftover trays and trash on them, and it seemed like things weren’t being cleared promptly. That really impacted the overall experience for me. The customer service was okay—not bad, not great. The staff were polite enough, but nothing really stood out in terms of hospitality or attentiveness. All in all, I think Arpi’s has its place and could be worth checking out if you’re curious or if this kind of food is new to you. But for someone who’s had a lot of experience with Mediterranean food, and who knows what they love, it just didn’t leave a lasting impression. I’m glad I gave it a try, but I wouldn’t personally go back.

I ordered off the lunch menu, blacked catfish and red beans and rice. And I asked if I could sub the rice for broccoli. The server only brought the fish and broccoli, no beans, and i was charged full price. At least she got everyone else's order correct.

Our large party reserved a table well in advance and while we were waiting to be seated, it was given to other customers, splitting up our group into 4 separate tables. Our server did a good job attending to our separated group. The bread was crispy and good. My Cobb salad with grilled chicken was delicious! Atmosphere is okay, the music is a bit loud, making a person talk over it and when the restaurant is full of people talking over the music, it makes the atmosphere very loud. Restaurant was very full at lunch time.

I ordered 2 chicken shawarma wraps and one chicken shawarma plate. It was the driest chicken I had in a long time. Also I specifically asked no garlic sauce in the wraps. I wanted the yogurt sauce instead. They put about one teaspoonful in each wrap. Seriously? I had to add ranch dressing at home to make it edible at the very least. Very disappointed. A waste of my hard-earned $30.00.

I’m not sure what happened today. I’ve been to this place many times, and my experience has always been great... the food and the service have consistently been excellent. But today was different. I ordered two of the same wrap with two different sides to go. For some reason, the wraps came out completely different: one had hot sauce and tahini, and the other had neither. We didn’t specify anything because we assumed the sauces would be on the side for a to-go order, but that wasn’t the case. There were no sauces on the side, and it felt like we just got whatever they decided to serve. I really hope this was a one-off. I’d hate to see a place with so much tradition start to slip.

I've been coming here for 20+ years and for the first time I was DISAPPOINTED with the rude service. The lady taking our order in the line, didn't care to ask us what else we wanted and walked away, so asked the cashier lady. The cashier had a bad attitude, threw our grilled veggies in a bowl. Then told her twice we wanted cups for water but she still didn't care to hand us any. Not sure what's going on. I hope it was just a one off. Still my fav shawarmas in Houston but they need to do better.

Went to Pappadeaux’s (near NRG) on Sunday 9/21/25. Service was just okay, but I think our server may have been fairly new. However, I’ve been getting the same dish for years. Therefore, I know the amount you’re supposed to get as well as the quality. Mississippi Catfish Opelousas $40.95 This day, I don’t know what happened….had this huge white plate and barely 3/4 had food on it. The other fourth of the plate houses a wedge of lemon. Sometimes a manager will walk the floor asking how everything was, but not this day. After inquiring that week, I found out the manger that day was Taylor Pringle, I believe. In all honesty, I wasn’t in the mood to complain that day because it was busy and I wasn’t looking for a scene. But quality management missed the mark that day for sure. And when more than one person at the table orders the same dish, they should come out looking the same. It was unacceptable…..do better.

The food is good, but it’s always left uncovered. The employees constantly talk with customers right over the food without wearing masks, which is very unhygienic. They really need to pay more attention to food safety.

Absolutely one of the worst in town! Food is not fresh and the baby fish (small sardines) was terrible! It was pre cooked and reheated when ordered! Terrible will not go back there!!

Stay away from this place! My friend and I decided to grab a bite here, hoping for a delicious meal. We ordered chicken curry and a shawarma plate. Let me tell you, that chicken curry tasted like anything but chicken! And to top it off, the shawarma plate came without any salad or tomato. Can you believe it? As if that wasn't enough, they even tried to overcharge us for the shawarma plate. Thankfully, we caught their mistake and they corrected it, but if we hadn't been paying attention, they would've taken our money without a second thought. The lady working there was incredibly slow and had trouble understanding us. Needless to say, we will never set foot in this place again!

Came this morning around 10:05am and ordered a wrap. I asked if I could add chicken to the beef and told them I would pay extra since I am adding extra meat. The guy told me no, and insisted that they cannot mix it. I just wanted extra meat..then when I received the order the salad was old. The cauliflower was old and cold..and my sandwich was cold that I couldn’t even eat it. This would be my first and last time coming here. Terrible service and terrible food.

They have gotten cheap! I have been going to Arpis for the last 15 years. They used to put all the sauces and pita out for everyone to enjoy unlimited! Now they charge if you want one extra??? Not the mention the shawarma wraps are smaller. Service has always had an attitude but we let it slide since the food was good. Now we are fed up with they’re cheapness
