Big Sis Tex and I decided to have lunch together after church to catch up on things. She introduced me to Cafe East off of 1960, in Humble. Wow! This place was a poppin'!!! Even though there is plenty of parking, I let Big Sis Tex out and searched for parking space. Took about 1.5 minutes to find one within reasonable walking distance - for us. Constant movement going on. When you come in, you will be greeted by a host or hostess for seating. Helen was our server for the day. In the beginning she was polite, but a little reserved. However, as we took our time, she opened up with beautiful smiles!!! (Like I said, it was a poppin'!) Sorry, once again, was hungry and started eating and chatting before I thought about pictures of the food ( 😀 ... gives me an excuse to go back again 😉!!!) Anyway, did take some pictures of inside to show that there is plenty of seating for a busy Sunday afternoon. Plenty of fresh dishes restocked at the buffet. AND, I throughly stuffed myself with five small plates, not including 2 small bowls of soup and a small plate of sushi! I am definitely going back!!!

Hands down the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in the Houston area in my opinion. The food is always great and you don't have to like Chinese food, they have Americanized food too; Like pizza. Sushi bar is always great. Dessert is always great too. Service is always great too. They're always on top of refilling your drink before you even have to ask for it. It's been my favorite for years. Absolutely love this place. I highly recommend this place if your feeling Chinese food. Have someone that's not crazy about Chinese food? Bring them anyway, I can almost guarantee they're still like the food here.

It's been about two years since we've been. It was so bad back then that we said we wouldn't go again. But we did today and I'm going to say it was FANTASTIC !!! It was better than it's ever been. So if it's been awhile, give them another chance. Surprisingly we went about 4 pm and everything was fresh. They had big beef ribs so tender the meat was falling off the bone. And the crawfish were very spicy. There were a couple of things that I didn't care for the flavor but it wasn't due to it not being cooked well. Just didn't like the flavor. Definitely go and try again if you haven't been. Maybe they are trying to do better since Buffetopia opened. It was much better than Buffetopia is.

Great selection of food! All of the food was delicious! Parking was good. I suggest getting to location early, parking later in the day to night is terrible! The best stir fry is selecting all the ingredients and getting all I want in my stir fry, it was delicious. Staff is friendly, we didn't have cash for a tip, next time we will. We had to add tip to check.

Kinda dated but not a deal breaker for me. Everything was clean and sanitized. Food was hot, fresh and really good. Giant beef ribs on the buffet was a nice surprise. My waiter was great. I will definitely return.

i have recently dined at cafe east, and my experience was a bit questionable. first, buffets were expensive, food was worth the price though. i was a bit concerned about the ice cream when kids would dig their hands in the cone machine. the main reason this review is 3 stars is the restrooms. the restrooms had shudders for the stalls. some at least were boarded up with wood plank. there was toilet paper scattered around the floor, and the sinks and walls were molded and cracked. good food but i recommend waiting to use the bathroom at home.

Foods are average but staff is quite friendly. We went there around lunchtime but it wasn’t crowded. Getting table right away when we came. The waitress kept checking our table and cleaning dishes as soon as we were done. The foods are always refilled if it’s gone by half. Price for adults during weekdays is $9.95 per person.

I have to say that the place was very clean. Very nice inside. Bathrooms were clean service was amazing. The only complaint I would say is that the food was edible but not the best. It was not very hot. I would have to say 95% of the food on my plates I did not finish eating.

I called in my order at eight. It was not ready until around nine. When I brought it home the chicken was cut in big chunks and was not tender. The rice was not done. The vegetables that were in the rice were not done $40 down the drain.

Food are not fresh. Slow to refill. We walked out after sitting down for 5 min and went to another buffet near by. We rather paid and left than eating the food there. They did gave us discount for leaving early so I guess they were reasonable.

Look at your bill before paying! I was charged for an adult buffet for my 10 yo old son. I normally do check, but this time I didn’t and realized once I got home that I was charged incorrectly. They state the lunch price for a child 10 years old and younger is $6.95. I noticed they charged me $14.95 as an adult. Be careful.

The food isn’t that good to want to go here, most food is bland or have a bad taste, the waitress were being very rude. It all started when they were rushing us to already pay when we weren’t even done eating. I don’t understand why they rush everyone I hate that since I couldn’t eat in peace. Before we paid the waitresses were literally standing behind us impatiently with crossed arms and tapping their feet and a paper in their hands so we could feel the need to leave. That is horrible I hated it and don’t recommend.
