I've been coming to this particular location for about 6 years, and never have I experienced such a rude employee until this morning. Maria W. must of woke up on the wrong side of the bed when taking my order. The whole vibe and experience was rude and unnecessary. I won't be going back for sure.

We love this location. I get chopped beef sandwich and my husband gets the half chicken. Everything is always fresh and generous portions.

I'm from Washington and have always wanted Texas BBQ. Pappas was catered to our work event and I have been back twice since then. The prices are great and the service is super easy and friendly to work with. Pictured here was the Half Chicken and Rib...cost about $15. Very good for a fast food BBQ. Have enjoyed more "non-fast food" BBQ while here but for the price and ease, I give them 5 stars.

This place was recommended to us by a local and it was awesome!! There were so many selections for food… it was meat, meat, and more meat!! The restaurant even has family meal options to go. Very large, fully stocked dining room. Everything was kept in impeccable condition and extremely clean. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. If you try it out- go early. They open at 11am and there was already a line at the door waiting and about 10 cars… worth any wait though!!

Papa‘s Humble is so delicious. The fish sandwich is to die for and the carrot cake. If you’re gonna do bad you might as well go, all in and that’s what I did. Humble location food tastes better than other locations I’ve tried. I never been disappointed at this location. the service is good just a little slow during the times I went, which was late in the evening so they’re always busy just another Testament to they’re good. but even though they were slow, they did offer something to drink while I wait, without me having to ask.

Betzaida was amazing at Pappas Bar-B-Q. Even when we had customers came in and tried to ruin our mood and our food. Betzaida was there, she was patient, sweet and kind with the rude customers. She helped change the atmosphere it made our eating experience magnificent. Thank you Betzaida

Probably the best BBQ in Houston, but I havent tried them all. Great selection of excellent meats. I cant tell you Ive tried the beef brisquit, ribs, and sausage. All of them were outstanding. Good selection of sauces as well.

Relly good bbq at a reasonable price. 1/2 chicken with 2 sides was only about $10. Nice smoked flavor in the chicken. Lots of sauce selections and also a sides bar which was nice. Counter order and pick up. Would highly recommend this bbq joint.

Excellent!! Beef rib plate was incredible!!! Beef brisket sandwich was delicious. All the sides were fresh and tasty. We dined in. The whole restaurant was very clean, tables spread out, and service was fantastic!.

All the food is excellent. We tried the baked potato with pulled pork and the pulled pork burger, both of which were delicious. The service is very good, and the atmosphere is too. Don’t forget to get a slice of carrot cake and a giant chocolate chips cookie. Next time we will try the pecan pie.

Was in the mood for some barbeque this evening, so I went to Papa’s here in Humble and enjoyed every minute of it. The servers were a great group of youngsters that provided even greater service with a smile. Because it was close to closing time, there were no pork ribs left, but the baby backs were an excellent second choice. Very good with or without barbeque sauce, along with the sides and a big cup of sweet tea made the perfect Sunday meal.

Omg! I haven't had one of their burgers in years and I must say they are my new go to spot for a burger. They may be pricey but it is no doubt so worth it! I don't have one bad thing to say...everything was fresh and made to order! Oh, I do have one thing to say...the fries did not have one drop of season! And don't get me wrong, I love their fries...but with some type of season! Be prepared you're going for pay around $23 for a cheeseburger (double meat), fries and a drink. Sorry, I usually take the pics prior to eating but I was on the go!

Excellent Texas BBQ. I'm a Connecticut Yankee and I truly enjoyed triple pork platter with BBQ beans and dirty rice. Plus pickled jalapeno and cherry peppers and a variety of homemade BBQ sauces. Delicious. Worth the trip for a long layover from Houston International Airport - instead of sitting there for 6 hours eating airport food. Just a 15 minute Uber ride from the airport.

I ordered online and picked up curbside, while waiting the smell filled the car. I usually don’t order takeout food but today I really needed too for personal reasons. I’ve had the seafood 🦞 and it was oh! So, good!!! Now as I am writing this review I was testing the Bar-b-Que, the brisket is fall apart, the bar-be-Que wings are very tender/ranch sauce tasty, fries hearty, and the beef sausage was delicious. Bread 🍞 soft My grandson polished off the macaroni and cheese 🧀, that’s one of his favorite dishes.

I like to hot up pappas when I have the craving for good bbq. Which hit me pretty hard this past week I went twice. The food is always good. I always get a large fry with whatever I get. BEST FRIES AROUND! Problem is the large I got on Thursday was full yhe one on Saturday was maybe half. I wouldn't even post this but this is the 3rd time. I've had to pull around and go inside to get it right. I'm just tired of it.

This is an ex- Luther's BBQ and still has a lot from the old atmosphere. The BBQ is fresh made and of good quality. The portions are just OK for the price. The toppings desk offers a great variety of different toppings and sauces, so you can customize your BBQ.

Best catfish I’ve ever had in my life. Batter was seasoned well. I’m rices are a bit steep but the food is really good. Def worth it.

Overall good experience. Busy place. You have to speak up and tell them what you want. Had the half chicken and beef rib. I liked the chicken, it was moist, tender, and well seasoned. But I wouldn't order the beef rib again - it was tender and well seasoned as well, but there's not much meat on it. Both meats were lightly smoked (too little smoke for my taste).

Picked up a to-go order for lunch and the sausage baked potato was delicious! I love how they play country music here, I was getting some condiments and I heard the music playing. I wanted to stay to eat and start dancing. Lol, it really sets the mood and gets you relaxed, but then it's back to reality out those double doors. I am not thrilled at all with the parking here, it's always been like this for yearrrrrrrrrs as far as I can remember to 2005! I had to circle this place 3 times before I finally got a decent spot that wasn't basically on 1960. Improved parking would be great here, with an additional entrance from side in case you have to park out back.

I had a tossed salad with brisket. They’re good, especially with their original bbq sauce. They also have 2 different bbq sauces which are expresso and mustard. The staffs are friendly and the store was not super crowded during lunchtime. Dining area looks clean as well.

Visiting from out of town and saw this location close to my hotel. Decided to give it a try on a Monday night. Brisket, sausage, mac and cheese and beans with a sweet tea and two slices of bread. Nice spacious location easily accessible from the highway. Lots of seating inside. Large menu on the wall at the beginning of the line so you didn't have to wait till the last second to decide what you want. The three young ladies who helped me up at the counter were very friendly. Laughed at my old man jokes. That's always a good sign. 22.00 for everything including tax. Pretty comprable these days the most places. The brisket was moist and easy to cut with my fork. The sausage had a very nice taste to it. Mac and cheese was decent beans or what they are. I did take a moment after my meal to talk with the manager and tell him about the good service and the good food. They don't always need to hear the bad things I need to hear the good things as well. Certainly give this location to try in Humble. I have different locations around the Houston area so imagine you can give any of them a try.

Ordered via drive thru, the young lady that took my order was very attentive, patient and exemplified great customer service. Ilda the manager was very kind and patient with me via phone and my daughter when she went to pick up the potato. Ilda did explain to my daughter why there was so little meat. Higher ups in corporate should really reevaluate their menu and how it's served. 3 starss on food because we had to go back to get a new chopped beef baked potato, meat was very scarce. When paying almost $18 for food we should get what we pay for. I see now why some smaller establishments have higher traffic volume no matter the time of day.

I ordered the pork trio. Portion size was good. The meat was very tasty. I can taste the sweetness on the ribs. The pulled pork taste amazing with the habanero bbq sauce. Food tasted great but was cold but I understand it was close to closing time. Staff was nice and greeted us and helpful. I love their fries they are the best compared to other BBQ places. The brisket in my sandwich was sliced thick and was nice and tender. Their dirty rice taste good just was cold so didn't enjoy it as much as I have in the past. I topped it all off with their Watermelon drink and it taste smooth and not sugary at all but just like watermelon. I would say that it is pretty pricey though, not sure if they went up recently but I spent $40 on 2 meals with a drink. This particular location was a nice and clean location with a great staff.

The food was really good. My wife really liked the selection of side dishes. I prefer other barbecue restaurants that offer fresh baked bread rolls rather than just slices of bread, however. I thought the food was a little overpriced. We spent $35 for the two of us at lunch and only had water. And yet you get a good portion of food. The portions were great size but the meat and side dishes were cold. They will be great when heated up properly. The yams were not sweet at all. The baked potato was massive and filled with cheese and sour cream.

Food good as always but ordering service was not to par. Ordered a $97 meal, a day in adance, show up and am told my order was cancelled. Why? An issue with their system. ok no problem. Life is a bit hard right now so no offense taken. Place my order again, wait another 25min, get home and notice I ordered 1lb of moist brisket but got dry lean. At this point 3 star for good food and some good service. Really disappointed with upper management not having an efficent ordering system after almost 9months of being in this COVID situation. A little extra attention for getting the order right after a mess up would also have been appreciated.

I haven't been to pappas bbq in a few months 😫 but must say I was very disappointed. I went through drive thru and service was quick and easy! I haven't had a brisket breakfast taco and I really love these but as you can see my picture it was mostly egg and price of that taco is now $5.99 plus tax are you kidding me! I can't go back due to I'm at work now but it was disgusting. Costumer service was fine 🙂 she could be a little more bubbly

I understand y’all are pushing to get orders out, but this is not it. Also, stop asking,”would you like pickles & onions?”. Only to not put it in the bag. Last, but certainly not least. Running out of Turkey during lunch time should be a crime. I know, a little excessive;but still..Anyway, if anybody else happens to experience getting home & finding your chicken is undercooked. Wrap it in Aluminum foil, place in oven 200 degrees & eyeball for cook time.

Papas barbecue is OK. Given how many outstanding barbecue places there are in this region, OK is quite acceptable. No, they won’t be confused with any award winning barbecue cook off champions but the barbecue is real and genuine. The pit is visible for everyone to appreciate. It’s slow cooked and fairly tasty. Yes it’s always had a reputation as being somewhat expensive but quite frankly, ever since we returned from the pandemic shutdown, all restaurants are rather expensive. I called it the “pandemic premium” where restaurant prices seem to have risen around 20+ percent. Back to Papa’s, the pork ribs are good and this is one of the few places you can actually get beef ribs. There are large and meaty. Like I said before the barbecue meat it’s not bad. However my biggest problem with the size. The coleslaw has way too much mayo in it. The candid yams were darn right awful. They were undercooked and not very sweet. So if you’re hungry, pressed for time and in the area and you want some decent Q feel free to go by Papa‘s.

Went through drive through. Lady was so busy rushing us through didn't get the order right missing Jalapenos and Mac and cheese. Chopped beef is really chunks of beef. BBQ sauce is bland. Buns are basic that squish flat. No attention to flavor, texture. Or customer service. Don't waste your time.

Food quality has definitely gone down at Pappas over the years. They want to charge you more but give you less. The chopped beef potato I ordered hardly had any meat and the meat it did have was tough and not flavorful at all. For a $16 potato I expect more in quality and quantity. Do yourself a favor and go to Triple J's if your on this side of town (Humble) and want good BBQ.

Their baked potatoes are never cooked thoroughly. They decreased the size of their salads but the price is still the same. The best Papas is near 45 and 1960. The employees are consistent and have been there for years so their food is always good and consistent.

We tried the beef trio. We were very disappointed with what we received. First of all, we received a beef rib with mostly bone. Second, my wife got sick after eating the food. The servings were very small except the yams. Service was great, but they needed to do better with the food. We paid $28.00 each for that platter, and I will never do that again.

Very Poor Diversity here. Daisy was Awesome in taking my order; however, other staff members seemed to not like her personally, by trying to make her look illiterate in front of me and other customers(Not the time for training; however, I was informed she had already been through training). I told the manager of it, and it seemed to be ok afterwards, but they forgot some of my food, and when they gave it to me, it was cold. The looks on their faces were not welcoming, except Daisy. We left Pappas on Little York and 59, because they did not have bake potatoes at 6:20 pm on September 29, 2021. After arriving to Humble Pappas to a line in the drive thru, I spoke with the young man assisting with the curb side orders. He suggested that we come inside to place our order. Although we stood in the wrong line, we were had to go to the to go orders. We placed our order at 7:14 pm (per receipt). After noticing customers that had placed their orders after us were receiving their orders, my husband went to see what was the problem. He was told when the buzzer lights up or when we call your name that is when your order is ready. By now 40 minutes had gone by. I went to question about our order (now it is 50 minutes), the manager (Gloria Maldonado), says she is working on it. I finally received the order, 4 bake potatoes (chicken, chop beef, sausage. 1 plain and a 2 Rib pork plate). Now, the kicker...one of the potatoes was wrong and Gloria the manager, had an an attitude and argued with me that the orders were right. It was wrong and she had to make it over. It took us 59 minutes for us to receive our food and to arrive home and I got 2 tough BEEF ribs, instead of PORK ribs. I was TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED with the service and food. To top it off, no one thought to offer a complimentary drink for taking so long or an apology for the wait/mishap of the meal. This is a $72.89 lesson taught not to patronize the 2 Pappas closest to me.

I went here to dine in with my friends and family. I ordered the 1/2 chicken and brisket platter, sides of potato salad and coleslaw. The chicken was under cooked, when I cut a few slices and a few bites into the chicken there was blood at the bone joints and the coleslaw was soggy. I returned the plate to the counter and spoke with the Chef, Ellis, and explained my disappointment. He offered me an alternative and i accepted it, waited 15 minutes to receive the brisket and sausage platter with a double side of potato salad. By that time my group had already eaten and was ready to make our next appointment. I do not believe that I will ever go to Pappas BBQ again. I canceled my plans for the night with friends and I got home an hour later, only to spend the rest of the night vomiting. I was fine up until I ate Pappas food. Lastly, I should’ve followed my instincts when I saw everyone working behind the counter NOT wearing gloves and NOT wearing hair nets. The workers had dirt under their fingernails. I should have trusted my gut and gone somewhere else. I haven't been in a while because the last time, over a year ago, was barely decent, but I figured I'd give it another shot. I went through the drive thru and sat at the speaker for several minutes before being greeted. I ordered a 2 meat combo with turkey and brisket. I don't think I could be more disappointed! There were 3, very small, edible pieces of brisket, and the rest was pure fat. So gross! The turkey did have good flavor, but it was really dry, and the green beans were crunchy and oily. Definitely highly disappointing and not worth $20. I won't be back. *The first 2 pictures show what wasn't edible, unless you like chewing on chunks of fat, and the last picture is the biggest piece of brisket I received.

Has COVID really changed everything or did restaurant owners just want to beef up the price and shrink the food items. I say like it is, the potato has gotten small and the price has grown. As I am about to pay a roach crawled out of one of our plates. I asked for the manager and not even an apology. All she said was”oh yeah we just got service for those” she went to change the plate per my request and as she came back the roach was on the counter and when I pointed it out she stated “ok we got it” what a horrible experience. I still paid for my food but I can’t eat it, it is disgusting and her attitude it’s even more disgusting.

This is usually my tobgo place once a week but the last two weeks have been very disappointing. I always order the same, a regular bake potato( no meat) with everything on the side. Last week, they put everything on it and it's was dry. Now this week , everything was on the side but the baked potato was over cooked. I think I need to find a new spot.

Extremely Disappointed with My To-Go Order, Major Letdown I ordered dinner to-go for my family of five from Pappas Bar-B-Q and was shocked at how bad the food was. We got a chicken baked potato, a chopped beef baked potato, a 2-meat plate (brisket and chicken) with a salad (they left out the dressing,), and two kids' meals (left out the ranch dipping sauce), we spent just under $80 for what turned out to be one of the worst meals we've ever had from this chain. The baked potatoes were hard and undercooked, the meat tasted old and dry, and the overall quality was just terrible. It was so bad we couldn’t even finish... it was late so did not have other options, we ended up eating what we could and trashing the rest. Pappas restaurants usually don’t disappoint, which makes this experience even more frustrating. This was an epic fail, and I’m extremely upset that we wasted our money on this. I truly hope this was just a one-off situation and not a new norm.

First off the wait in the drive through was horrible over 25 min. I ordered the brisket plate with sausage. Let me tell y’all for $30 I got NO brisket they gave me scraps and BOTH the sausage and brisket were cold. The sides were the only good thing. I would not be returning to this location. Not worth the money at all

It’s always a problem when I come to this restaurant. Tonight at 6:30 pm rush hour and dinner time they’re out of Baby Back Ribs. Angel the manager seems as if he rather be somewhere else. The corporate office needs to audit the service as well as the management team. If this is a teaching restaurant then heaven help your other stores. So I guess I will just have to wait a half hour for the rib. That’s lost revenue for the company. But I guess nobody cares about who spends their money with you. I went back today 06-21-2024 and I was not disappointed. My food was fresh and the staff was attentive. With this type of Service, I don’t mind spending money. Great improvement from the last time.

This has to be the most disgusting place in Houston/Humble area. I should've went with my first mind and went to Tin Roof BBQ in Humble. These people do not care here. They don't have any pride in what they serve to the public. I was served a combo meat with both meats dried up to the point of not being fit for human consumption. I went to this location on March 1 2025 using the drive thru I had to repeat my order 3 times to the girl and she repeated it back 4 times I got to the window and my order still was wrong! I had to wait and my order was only for a chef salad. When I got home and opened container they had given me the fatty part of brisket on salad and it was the end pieces and only two small pieces I called and spoke with a manager named Yasmine who claimed she would send me a gift card to resolve the matter BUT she never asked for my name and I am sure she didn't write down my address! This location really has bad customer service and bad employees DO not go to this location!!!

They gave me BLOODY RAW CHICKEN and General Manager would not replace my food even though I had the food in hand. He said its because I didn't have receipt when they never gave me receipt. I also put in an incident report about it because the bit I ate made me sick. No one has contacted me (I doubt he even turned it in.) Bad attitude, safety, and service. I took to another location and they fixed the problem for you.

I bought the so called Beef Trio, with 2 sides, after getting home I opened my bag and container to find 4 small cut up pieces of brisket, 1 large dried up beef rib, and 6 slices of sausage. I wish I would have looked up reviews on this location, they are very skimpy and will short you on your order. For the price of $30 bucks I expected a nicer plate. I guess they save the meat for the next day to not have to BBQ much the next day, I was so disappointed and dissatisfied with this location. I ordered 2 catfish dinners on line. I paid for it online with a tip included. When I arrived to the restaurant the manager stated, “Oh we are out of catfish and I tried to call you.” I have a very reliable phone and I didn’t receive a call. So I told the manager just to refund my money back onto my card. So I checked my credit card charges two days later and notice this charge wasn’t removed. So I call my credit card company to dispute the charges.So when I received my monthly charges and seeing it appear again on my statement I decided I will let them know how unhappy I am. I have receipts where the manager zeroed the total. I can’t make this up. As a long time customer I am truly disappointed.

This by far has to be one of the worst food experiences I've had thus far. I am dealing with health issues and had someone offer that if I ordered they'd pick up and bring to me. I placed the one meal I'd been desiring the most from this location as it's always been great when I was at the other. I literally paid for 3 pieces of meat. I got one beef rib which I understood but 1 piece of sausage slice and 1 slice of brisket that's definitely not the right portion for the Brisket Combo. To add the meat was not sauced. I've called the restaurant 4 times now and no answer. There's literally no other way for me to address my concerns since I can't drive back to the store personally. I'm not only disappointed, I'm hurt. I understand things can happen but this type of mistake and you can't even reach the store to address directly is just crazy.

Went at 630 on a Saturday night and ordered a burger. Went to pay, repeat my order including a burger only to be told that there were no patties when the rest of my order was ready. How can I order with one person, repeat my order when paying and no one tells me there are no patties. That's unacceptable to me. When I first got in here I was kind of unsure what I wanted so I asked if I can have chicken but only the dark meat the young man told me no I had to get the whole chicken that they no longer separate the white meat from the dark meat🍖. Still I was rushed and just settled on the whole chicken the macaronis looks a little loose potato salad was the best and when placing your order in the line you got to know what you want because they will rush you in the line there should be two lines one if you're ready and one for if you're unsure Chicken appear to be not smoked all the way I sure what this chicken for the manager he said this is how the chicken comes out and it is cooked all the way okay well smoked all the way

I just left Papas BBQ and they had the audacity to serve me a sparsely made sliced beef sandwich for $11.95 with 3 slices of meat on it. I called and I'm assuming I spoke to a manager and he suggested I come back to remake the sandwich. After getting home I shouldn't have to come back out for them to remake a sandwich. This is the second time having an experience like this at this location and this location used to be one of the best. Not lately. Time to do better and not scam customers talking about the weight of the meat. I know better because I've been dining at this location for over 20 years. It was an hour before closing and if you're closing for the night and out of beef just say that don't skimp on the product for the customer.

Terrible I am so disappointed. I went to papas because I wanted some barbecue I live in Splendora went to Humble and waited in the drivethru for about 20 minutes. I ordered a chopped beef brisket baked potato fully loaded and a two meat plate of sausage and sliced beef brisket Jumbo! . I got home excited and opened to see this. What’s this! I thought it was the fixings for the baked potato! I PAID $18 dollars for this! I called spoke to Yolanda I told her the problem the phone hung up. Then I called back after 20 rings Roger answered. Advised that it was correct was a 1/4 meat but I asked for sliced and Jumbo. This isn’t sliced this is left over gristle and 5 pieces of sausage. I spent $36.70! I won’t be going back! I should have stuck with the baked potato it had more meat then that! Roger was no help. And didn’t even offer any help. Just terrible customer service!!

I had a brisket and sausage plate with green beans and potato salad on the side Saturday night from this location. After finishing dinner, I was awoken around midnight in extreme pain in my stomach accompanied by diarrhea and vomiting over the next 12 hours. I unfortunately got food poisoning from this location. I can’t help but think that because they closed this past Monday due to renovations that the food was bad. I am still trying to get over symptoms and have barely eaten anything. 41 hours went by before I was able to eat half of a ramen bowl. It is now Tuesday evening and I have lost 7 pounds. Such an unfortunate experience that I wish on no one.

Are you kidding me?!!! A Sandwich with a quarter pound of meat......$14!!!! This is not cool....at all. I don't mind paying for a meal as long as I get my dollars worth. No drink...no fries just the provided pic, this makes me sad. If we're stuck in some kind of recession then we should all share the cost, not it all given straight to the consumer. On 09/13/2025 @8:10pm I purchased a Board 1 with a pecan pie and cheesecake. I specifically asked the lady from the speaker to please put some bbq sauce on the side because this the third time I go and they forget to give me bbq sauce. Lady said it comes with it when I got home no barbecue sauce for my ribs and brisket, everytime I go I have to eat my food without bbq sauce for the last 3 times I been there. Smh please make sure Caylee C and Leydi M put bbq sauce when people order it because they do this all the time and I should have checked my order when I got it. I live im humble and I shouldn't have to drive all the way back to get bbq sauce now I have to eat my food again for the third time without bbq sauce I spent 70.00 and I can't even get bbq sauce. Smh. By the way I also ordered ranch style beans and they gave me macaroni 🤦🏻‍♀️

Terrible first-time experience!!! I was craving some bbq for 4th of July and decided to give this place a try. The chicken clearly wasn't finished. There's still blood on the inside. The sausage links were dry and nasty. The ranch beans were hard, so I'm not sure they were cooked long enough either. Cucumber salad, nasty. Potato salad, nasty. I definitely don't recommend this place at all. This place deserves 0 stars for the audacity alone. They need to seriously replace whoever is in the kitchen.

After paying $37 after a tip you'd think you have more pickles jalapeños and onions but the kicker was the 2 oz bbq sauce with 3/4 lbs of meat. Not to mention the dirt was crunchy and the beans had no flavor. I'm so disappointed. I would've gladly went to specs and drank for the same price and starved instead of still be hungry. But HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO
