I had never been to this Benihana location and I am so impressed with the excellent customer service, the quality and taste of the food, the cleanliness and overall experience. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but I think it’s worth it! You get so much food and it’s entertaining to watch. I can’t wait to be back!

I've been here for dinner before and every time we have great service, tonight I was craving their fried rice but couldn't order it online and we drove over and ordered. It was about 1030 and they still took our order . The bartender and the young man who took our to go order were so kind. Thanks again Hi I came to pick up an order today for lunch. I had ordered a chicken lunch; it comes with rice and soup, my soup didn't have any onions or mushrooms and my fried rice had about three pieces of chicken my bad four I did take a picture. The girl that gave me my order had not added the extra fried rice I paid for, she stated that I just added chicken to the fried rice and that that was it I let her know that I know it comes with a fried rice and I added chicken to that fried rice plus added another fried rice and she goes well I guess I could just give it to you there's no guessing if I paid for it,I'm sorry. So I leave and start eating, the rice tasted old and was crunchy and had way too much pepper . I was very disappointed that I paid $42 for mediocre lunch. Definitely not the Benihana experience I'm used to.

Today 5/22/25 my chef Kaz was awesome, and our server Luis was excellent! Love this place. I recommend making reservations if you're planning going there during the weekend or in a special day like mother's day, etc. Most Dinners come with a salad and soup... both delicious. My usual is the Samurai Treat...highly recommend it. Comes with filet mignon and jumbo shrimp. So many good things here. Oh, I've been to a handful of these restaurants and they always seem to make a great Mai Tai.

It was my first time going to a Benihana, and my family celebrated my dad’s birthday. The check-in process was pretty straightforward, the hostess at the front desk of the restaurant asked if we had a reservation, which we did, and we waited to be seated with two other parties. We were greeted by a waitress that asked if anyone was celebrating a birthday, and I guess you can get a $30 off coupon if you sign up for their club program. She proceeded to ask for drink orders and appetizer orders. After a few minutes, she returned with our drinks and took our orders for our meals. I settled for their Land N Sea specialty that meant filet mignon and scallops as part of a multi-course meal. The best part of the experience was Raymond, who would be our teppanyaki chef for the dinner. He had an enthusiasm and expertise that was above any of the other chefs that were there that I had observed. Raymond delivered the best dad jokes and dazzled us with his knife and spatula tricks. He even tossed a piece of egg in my mouth at some point during our meal. Everything was prepared, cooked, and delivered to perfection. The one gripe I have is the restroom situation (photos attached to review), but it didn’t ruin my dinner. I would definitely go again, just to see the show that our chef performed. TLDR: Benihana loves up its reputation, reservations are a must, Raymond is the best teppanyaki chef at this location, the meal is a whole experience, and I would come again.

More like a 4.5 Been going here for a few years now. The chefs are hit or miss but most of them are really good in keeping us entertained. The food for the most part the food is always the same great taste. Chicken fried rice is amazing. Steaks are cooked to your order. 🔥

I ordered the surf-side entree which comes with grilled calamari, jumbo shrimp 🍤, scallops, all buttered up with lemon and garlic butter! Comes with the famous Hibachi chicken rice, ginger salad, mushroom miso soup, zucchini vegetables n onions, mushrooms, and green tea ice cream you add that flavor at the end of the meal. I also ordered a Japanese soda which was strawberry 🍓 so good! And a hot Jasmine green tea 🍵 I believe. And the waitress helper was very friendly and nice too! Just a overall nice experience for my 🎂🎉 birthday! And I always go here on my birthday, so don't forget to sign up for the birthday club, you get a birthday coupon! Details online sign up! AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND SERVICE. Came here with my family for a birthday and JENNY was an amazing server and provided excellent service and was very kind and fast in service. Kobe was our chef and he was funny and very good at his job. Definitely reccomend this Benihanas for birthdays or groups it awesome experience and there is so much parking and easy to park compared to other locations. There is a chef at this location by the name of Kevin who is such an extraordinary chef. Everything he cooked this night was SUPERB! I HIGHLY recommend ordering the Yakisoba from him. I ordered it with beef and he adds his own flavor to all the food he cooks. He is here as a substitute and usually cooks at an Anaheim location. I hope he shows up here more often. I wish I had photos but I was so busy eating and so were the rest of my party. Best experience ever!

Chef Erick makes amazing and favorable food. He is also very funny but his food was really really good. I have never had vegetables that were so good at a place like this before. The lobster was mouth watering good. He is extremely talented and should be celebrated. He should teach all the new chefs that come in. He has upper management written all over him. I arrived here late for my reservation. They seated my party of four promptly. I was amazed how quickly they brought the drinks and chef out to us. The meat was so GOOOD. Always a good time at Benihana! The food is delicious and plenty. The chef and wait staff are always friendly and helpful. And I’ve always been seated with fun groups of people. Just to be clear, Benihana has still got it. I was warmly greeted by Jay upon entering the establishment. She directed me to the bar, as I was a solo traveler but still down for a great time. Kyle, the bartender with the impressively large stature, saw the look on my face and knew I needed a cold Asahi. Needless to say, he promptly delivered. Timo appeared from the depths of the backside of the restaurant and made sure that the vibe was right. As I was the only one at the bar, I was incredibly appreciative of the gesture, it prepared me to spend many monies without a shred of uncomfortability. Lastly, I must acknowledge Tristan for comedic relief between handling his walk ins. Loved ending my morning here!

Haven't been Benihana for years already. Ordered a duet lunch with medium rare steak and Scallops. It comes with mixed vegetables and fired rice. Great combination of a simple lunch to celebrate my friend birthday. Lastly they treated us a green tea ice cream as complimentary. Definitely deserve a decent tips. 😄 Note: the soup is sooooo salty🥴

The restaurant entrance is in the rear of the building. There is a free parking lot shared with other businesses. The other businesses consume a lot of the space and traffic can be congested on the road that connects the other businesses. The Teppan Grill seating sits about eight diners at each grill. The restaurant tries to have at least four diners before they will use the grill. The menu includes fish, steaks, chicken and vegetables. The whole meal is cooked on the grill right in front of the diners. There is a full bar and a wine cellar. There are various flavors of ice cream for dessert. The whole staff was outstanding. The price are about average. All dishes served were delicious.

With franks and Sons opened, it was very difficult to find parking. But chef victor made the wait worth it. He was so funny and made my family laugh a lot. It has been so long since we came their menu looked different. Jill was very nice to answer my questions. We had quite a bit of accommodations and the employees were all very helpful and kind.

I had never been to Benihana. It was a must do for a tepanyaki fan like myself. There is a bit of hype behind it and I did expect more but the overall experience was good. 1.5hr wait for 2 people and another 45 for the chef. I was hoping more from the chef since I figured they'd be the best around. He was fine but nothing out of the usual for regular tepanyaki goers. Miso soup was best I've had but ginger salad was haarrrible! I know how the rest of the meal will be based on the fried rice. It was good but not great. Rest of meal followed suit. I'd go again with a coupon but there is better tepanyaki out there.

Benihana is an experience, it's great the first couple times 😄 but just bring me my fillet mignon and yellowtail sushi... If you've never been it's definitely a great introduction to hibachi grill food, try it!

When you go to Benihana's for lunch, you'll get the flying cooking utensils, the fire, the corny one liners and the same good food and service you get during their dinner hours. However, the one thing you won't get is a lunch menu. You'll need to ask for one (see picture), otherwise you'll get the dinner menu (along with the dinner prices). Lunch comes with either salad or soup and no shrimp appetizer. We had the hibachi chicken, scallops and fried rice (gotta love that fried rice). All were cooked perfectly and tasted as you'd expect. The restaurant is older and could use some "touching up", but clean otherwise. The staff were friendly and attentive as well.

Was here with my wife and a bigger group about 12. They were able to accommodate us well, but we had to watch close to an hour even after we had reserved ahead of time. Food was really good. Nice at first to view the cook but over time the entertainment wore off and he just started cooking. Came during the week during the evening, so not sure if that affected the experience. They had to split the group in two and the other group did not seem to be to happy with their food. I know portions are on the small side from being here before especially since Plates are around high $40s. Place seems a little dated maybe for the Japanese traditional feel. The food was delicious and was full with that I ate, but for the price seems like I was missing something, maybe it was the entertainment. Service was great. Automatically add tip on bill.

Benihana is one of our family favorites. Our kids basically grew up going there, and it’s always been a special place for us. The food can be a little hit or miss — sometimes it’s amazing, sometimes just okay — and the same can be said for the service at times. But today was one of the good days! The service was absolutely amazing. Diana was so attentive and truly went above and beyond to make us feel like valued regulars. She anticipated our needs without us even having to ask — refilling our hot teas before we realized they were low and checking in at just the right times. Her kindness and attentiveness made all the difference. Chef Celeste also did a wonderful job! Everything was cooked well and tasted delicious — we especially loved the extra pepper she added for flavor. My meat was a little more well done than I prefer, but nothing to cry over. Overall, a great experience. Thank you, Diana and Chef Celeste, for making our visit so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!

I visited this Benihana and ordered the Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp, turned out really good. The chicken was tender, the shrimp tasted great not too overcooked just right, and the grilled veggies and fried rice tied everything together perfectly. The chef on the tepanyaki added a fun touch to the experience, even if the show felt a little quicker than usual. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the meal.

7:45 reservation, sat around waiting to be seated until 8:05. The chef didn't arrive to the table until 9:00... Chef Eric saved the day though and provided excellent service and entertainment as well as top notch cooking. The waitress and staff did an excellent job as well dealing with an unruly group sitting with us. IDK if it was just a busy night or short staffed but the and experience was great minus the wait.

Over all the place was a nice experience. We were the last customer to come and waited for 30mins to be seated. The waiter i think was serving what looks like all the tables but she did a great job. She was attentive and nice to us despite her being probably very tired. Food was ok and will go back if I have a chance to.

I’m a huge fan of this restaurant. I was very disappointed with the service I always come for the hibachi experience. My food was cooked in the kitchen, the chefs normally cook my food first because of my allergies to shellfish. The kitchen overcooked my ahi tuna and put 3 shrimp on my plate. I had to wait for it to be recooked meanwhile everyone else was eating. Not a pleasant experience.

I was attracted by the restaurant's Japanese architectural style, but upon entering, I realized it mainly offers teppanyaki, which I’m not very interested in. So, I chose to sit at a dining table near the bar and ordered sushi, a sashimi platter, tempura shrimp, a grilled salmon set, and Sapporo beer. Frankly, the dishes were average, nothing special. The sashimi was frozen and thawed, so the texture wasn’t great. The tempura was fried well, and the salmon set was reasonably priced, but the combination was a bit odd (see the picture below). The rice was delicious though. Overall, it was just okay.

Food is great but the organization on reservations are not at this location. Made advanced reservations weeks ahead for bday party but we had to wait 45 minutes for a 5:15 reservation on Saturday!!!. The waiting area is ridiculous, small amount of seats for the amount of people that are required to wait for what you have to pay. Shrimp, scallops, beef, chicken, and yakisoba were great. The fried rice had waaayy too much sesame seeds and overbearing in each bite. Birthday pics were given to us after our party so that was cool but it was really crowded. I think next time I'll check on another location or Tokyo wako so they'll keep my reservation on time.

we found it very awkward that the check asked both parties at table if only 2 friend rice were ordered. One per party, We the response was a clear yes from both parties. Then chef proceeds to gift each member of the other party Boris of. Fried rice. One to each member of that party. (3 free) .

The food taste was good the place was too dirty the table the plates the walls the little cart that comes out with the chef super dirty I say it's too expensive plus the chef cut like 25% of each stake and took it with him for his dinner I guess I don't think that's right

Ordered some small chicken and steak hibachi fried rice for takeouts. They tasted alrite, a little on the oily side. Get this, they come in small tubs like they use for soups. Given that Benihana is an expensive restaurant, I guess we got the expensive tubs.

We made a last min lunch date for our daughter’s birthday on Saturday, December 13. We decided to sit in the bar area at a booth. With no service after about15 minutes, we moved over to the hibachi side where we were seated and waited for about another 10 to 15 minutes until the server Vanessa noticed people in our area. Once Vanessa came to our area, she was amazing! She was very attentive and did her best to give us the best service. The only reason why I did not give a five star for service on this review was our chef (Tan or Tam) didn’t seem to be too engaged and a little distracted. Food was okay, and the equipment meds some updates as there is a big crack on the cooktop.

I went for a dinner, and line was long. We had to wait to be seated even we had reservations. One we were seated, the chef came one hour later. I can tell the chef was tired by how rush he did the cooking. I can feel the urge throughout the dinning experience. I spent about 400 bucks for my family dinning experience, but that is not a good one.

The bathrooms were nasty I brought it up to front staff. 20 min later in the middle of dinner I went to the restroom again and there is no toilet seat covers and NO TOILET PAPER. They did not care the first time i mentioned it. I let the manager know he didn’t seem to care either

The Benihana’s experience was amazing for a five year old. It was different from what I expected but still had a fun time. Our server was attentive and made sure our glasses were never empty. When came to showtime with our chef that’s where the problems came. We brought our godchild who is five and so excited do the magic. It was watching your dad drinking beer and grilling steaks on the weekend. The little one would give the chef thumbs up and chef wouldn’t reacted back. There wasn’t no magic with Benihana chef grill tricks. Not even the classic onion volcano for the little one. But the food was good and the server was amazing. I think you can get better steak and salmon at fine dining restaurants elsewhere but you're here for the unique hibachi experience. There's ample parking in the lot. Bathroom cleanliness was average, i expected better odor control for a the price restaurant and one soap dispenser was empty. Relax have fun and enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family.

We placed our online order for New Year’s Eve on December 26th. 7pm was our pickup time and we didn’t get our food until 9:30. Everyone seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive to people waiting. Then when we asked for extra sauce the girl said “we usually have to charge for extra sauce” which is understandable but she wasn’t even apologetic for how long we waited. Also, this place was sooo packed with people couldn’t even get to the restroom.

Very long wait, even though I had a reservation. They made us wait an additional hour and a half for just 2 people. I checked in 45 minutes before my 7:30 PM reservation and noticed the walk-in people were given preference ! (at least 20 walk-ins were seated before us ) We were seated in the back and there was three tables waiting for chefs . At the front desk you will find three young teens trying to accommodate people while horse playing. And they definitely don’t do a good job ! Expensive 5-6 course meals. The salad and ginger dressing slowly but surely have gotten worse in quality and taste. I’ve been coming to Benihana’s for at least 25 years. This is one of the worst locations. Sushi is never fresh. I’ve had the same mediocre quality fish at the Ontario location. Our chef overcooked my steak and burned zucchini, onions and mushrooms.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION made a reservation for a birthday at 6:30pm on table 7 and waited for the chef to start cooking at 8:15pm almost 2 whole hours. Such big waste of time, very ridiculous not even an update on the reasoning. Will not be returning. My relatives will also be leaving a similar review. Dine & dash worthy at this point smh

I hate to even write this review but this had to be the worse experience that I had at a Benihana restaurant. We got there at about 8:15pm and was seated around 8:20pm. The table and grill was obviously not clean, which even the cook expressed frustration with. We got our first drinks and sushi pretty fast. After that everything just started going downhill. After our waiter took our orders it felt like he forgot about our table. It was plenty of empty cups on the table, waiting for him to return. We didn't get attention from him again until he brought out the soup and salad. He did however become more consistent after that. The biggest issue then seemed to be the unavailability of a cook cause we didn't get a cook till about 9:30pm. Everybody sitting at our table was clearly frustrated and we didnt seem to get attention from the manager till we started inquiring about our cook. When the cook finally did come she was personable but spoke low. Her cooking style was a little all over but she was doing her job. She unfortunately missed items in orders, dropped food on table, and left some items like the veggies and shrimp partially cooked. By the time the food was ready we wasnt even hungry just frustrated. The food wasn't complete till after 10pm. The whole table pretty much took their food to go. Nobody got their desserts we all just got up and left. The frustration with the time it took us to get services was also experienced with the table right next to us. It was so bad, a family got up and left before their cook even came and the other members at that table didnt finish there food either. The manager did try to compensate us by taking $30 off our bill which was over $200 but for that service I don't see that as being enough at all. My table was truly highly disappointed.

So sad to see this Benihana location decline in excellence. I'm so disappointed that I'm writing a poor review. Where do I start? This used to be the place to go, not anymore. To start off, the restaurant is unclean; and it has an old stuffy smell. Walls are not cleaned, plates were not fully cleaned, they had residue and left over food particles. And don't even go into the restroom 🤢 Our chef, Rocky, didn't smile once (no exaggeration) she pulled her cart, spoke under her breathe, mumbled a greeting, not at all welcoming - awkward. She did not, at all, interact with the table (like, not at all). Weird, because we come here for a fun show and great food, but not tonight. The food is still okay. This is our last time coming to this location. We'll be going to the one in Downey. Sad, because, I chose this one over Downey before tonight. Save your money. Do not come here. You pay for great food and equal experience but tonight, we felt cheated. **Update** Our chef, Rocky, left after cooking our meal without even saying bye (again, no joke) unbelievable. On the plus side, though, the manager was attentive after we brought it up to his attention. But, still won't come to this location. Sad day. Also, one of my colossal shrimps was not cleaned - the poop strand was still there (learned that from watching Gordon Ramsay)

Happy birthday disaster. We came to celebrate my birthday. I was so disappointed in this location. I was first appalled by the dirty restroom. Then seated at a table w grease all over the walls, and floor was super greasy. The chef named Rocky came to our table and was the most non verbal, ackward, cold, and no show chef I ever experienced. It was so strange she did not interact w us at all and then proceeded to cook our food in silence, no show at all. The only positive was the attentiveness of the manager at apologizing for the service. He did give us discounted price. The cleanliness and service was appalling. We had over cooked shrimp that was not cleaned properly and burnt veggies at our plate. We will never come back to this benihanas . It's a shame it used to be our favorite - no more.

Horrible service after making reservations and expecting a good meal. We had 5:15 pm reservations. We were seated immediately and we put in our order. The server then informed us that it would be a wait for the chef. The oarty was then seated behind and on the side of our table. Those aforementioned parties were serviced immediately while our table waited. Finally our chef Keven came and started the process of getting our food cooked. It appeared that he did not know what he was doing. I’ve been to Benihana many times and don’t mind what the cost of my meal is. I’ve never been disappointed until today. Our food was burnt greasy and my scallops were burnt on one side and raw on the other. Everyone who’s been to this restaurant knows basically the order the food is cooked. So you know the veggies and shrimp appetizer ate first on the plate. Well first after the fried rice was the Protien of which my scallops were raw on one side and super greasy. The chef took them back and cut them up on the grill. You don’t cut up scallops! I was not happy! I asked about the shrimp Appetizers which he didn’t have and asked the server toget him some from the kitchen. The evening was a disaster and at the end I asked for the manager. She came I told her my concerns and all she could say is okay I’ll talk to him! I paid full price for the worst service and dinner I’ve ever had at this establishment. I completed my transaction woth the server to which she sarcastically said with a big smile have a wonderful evening. I responded that would have been nice and as she walked away she started laughing and loudly said well you still could. Benihana used too be very courteous to their customers taking their concerns seriously. What happened?

1st time trying this place and it was horrible, bad taste, tiny portions. Ordered a noodle plate and it had 2 tiny slivers of meat the size of a teaspoon, 2 tiny slivers of chicken a 1 individual piece of shrimp, pathetic. Never to return. Anywhere else is better than there.

The reservation process at this location is extremely frustrating. I made a reservation two hours in advance specifically because I am not able to stand and wait for long periods of time. Despite having a confirmed reservation, as soon as we arrived the hostess (who was visibly unwelcoming) told us she would “check us in” and that the wait time was STILL 30 minutes to an hour. At that point, the purpose of having a reservation is completely lost. Why make guests wait that long after reserving a table? Inside the restaurant, it was clear that many people were already seated but waiting a long time for a chef to start cooking. This gives the impression that the restaurant continues to accept reservations and walk-ins without a realistic understanding of their actual capacity or chef availability. This is disappointing, especially for a restaurant that is supposed to be so well known. Reservations should mean something particularly for guests who rely on them due to physical limitations.

Service is awful here from the host to the staff, and to show up on a Sunday afternoon and they are suddenly charging a parking fee. Management aware and decides they want to do nothing about making changes. It’s actually pretty disgusting.

Got you — short, punchy, Google-style: ⸻ ⭐☆☆☆☆ Very disappointing. We had a 7 PM reservation and weren’t seated until 7:40. Service was slow from the start — drinks took 15 minutes, and we had to ask a manager about our food. The chef didn’t come out until almost 8:45. The chef seemed rushed, no interaction, no fire show or tricks (which is the whole point of coming here). Food portions were very small for $380 — a few pieces of steak, shrimp, and tiny chicken portions. Soup tasted like onion water and salads were dry and wilted. Long wait, poor communication, no entertainment, and bland food. Not worth the price.

Reservation for 2 at 7pm, for the grill. Seated at 7:30pm, and it’s now 8:50pm and still no chef. We had to leave to pick up our young toddler and I’m 5 months pregnant. Absolutely terrible service.

DO NOT DELIVER FOR THEM EVER! They let you wait for 1.5 hours! They never use brain to do works. Packed a lot of orders without people waiting and never do yours. It had been years and nothing had changed! As a doordash driver, I will never give you any more chance to waste my time:)

Reservation was for 3:30pm. Chef showed up to start at 5:15pm. Wagyu fried rice seems great, but I can't vouch for it cuz my chef forgot I asked for it medium rare, and it came out well done. Other than that, the chef did what he could to mitigate the pain of the wait. We had a birthday to celebrate, and the staff was sure to sing and give him joy at the end of dinner. The host staff needs to work on their communication. They didn't listen AT ALL when i reminded them of the booking for 4 adults and 4 high chairs for our 4 kids. They could also be honest about the wait time when we arrived early that they were as behind as they were invariably headed to be. Apparently, 4 adults is enough for them to automatically add gratuity to the check. Such a stupid move as I always pay a cash gratuity that's much more than the 15% they automatically add without asking. Hopefully, they learn to quit doing thay.
