Best donuts in San Diego. Whenever I come home to visit my family, I go there first thing in the morning.... sometimes more than once a week! Huge donuts, so many varieties... So good! And they are really inexpensive. Great place.

I love the cinnamon roll small size. Whenever we go, I'm sure to add a few to our dozen. The donuts are fresh.

Great selection. Fresh donuts available all day. I was surprised even the coffee is really good. Donuts were very moist and very tasty. Seasoned very well. Quick service. Definitely going to come back.

The best donuts in the most unlikely place - nearly underneath the CA-94. It's been here since the '60s and has remained unchanged. Great donuts, coffee in styrofoam and limited seating have endured while the sub-urban sprawl swallows everything else...

Delicious donuts!!! I've been here plenty of times and the donuts are always fresh and yummy. I just ordered some for a party and everyone loved them and asked where they were from. That's always a good sign of a Delicious donut 🍩😋

Went there for the first time today with a friend. Best Bavarian Cream chocolate donut ever!! Wonderful huge crossaints that melt in your mouth. Very friendly gentleman who waited on us.

Love me some Sunny Donuts. This place is our donut go-to. My son always begs to go to Sunny Donuts. Never disappointed. Their croissant sandwich is a favorite in our family.

Great experience! I went to pick up some donuts on Thursday morning, the guy behind the cash register was very kind and super funny. The donuts were amazing all the kids at school loved them!

I came here a few months ago to get donuts because my usual place was all out. I saw that they made breakfast sandwiches and thought I'd give that a try too. Turns out those sandwiches are amazing. Make sure Lin is the one behind the counter though. I've been back several times for the sandwich and there's another lady that works sometimes who makes them completely different and not as well. Lin takes what I assume is a croissant they make there, toasts it up and makes you two fresh eggs to put on top of it. You can get cheese, ham, bacon etc as well. I usually opt for the number four which is ham, bacon and cheese. It's amazing. Highly recommend this place. The donuts, donut holes and other creations are amazing as well. Stop by soon!

My timing was spot on, when arriving at the exact time that the baker was filling the donuts that I love. I normally don't go in at night, because my favorite donut is usually sold out. But they were being filled and brought out just at that time. I bought a dozen, including 5 of my favorit, 3 jelly , 2 chocolate cake, 1 chocolate bar, and a raised glaze with sugar coat. Only $15. I have been going to this place since the late 90's. Though, it has changed hands several times, it has always served a good donut. I have tried other shops in the area, but I grade them with this shop as the standard. I keep coming back. The service is always immediate. And friendly. It is right off 94 and 125,on Spring street. You can jump off and off of the freeway. So it's convenient. Try . You will come back again.

GREAT customer service, DELICIOUS and fresh donuts, AWESOME prices! The woman who helped me at around 8 pm yesterday (I THINK she had gray hair and glasses - my memory isn't the best) had a super positive personality. Definitely will be a returning customer!

Great donuts and nice people. Prices have gone up a bit in recent past like most donut shops. Nice bar stool area to sit and enjoy the food.

The donuts here are always fresh. The only issue I've had was they dont fill the jelly donuts. I didn't get any jelly until the very last bite. I ate it there and was able to show the person working. He said that he had a new person and he would make sure they're filled properly. I've been back several times and still same jelly donut disappointment. First world problems..

This place usually has the freshest doughnuts around. They melt in your mouth and really are the best tasting doughnuts. This particular visit was a bit of a let down. Doughnuts were dry and edges were hard. Will still go back again, hoping this was just an off day or just the wrong time of day maybe.

These Donuts are pretty good however the prices you pay for them are way too high for what you receive! The service there was laozi she could hardly speak in English. But it was mostly high prices that they charge in there which will keep me from ever going back! I would much rather go to Peterson's Bakery in Escondido they have amazing donuts freshly cooked terrific service and the prices are pretty decent especially for what you received! Sunny Donuts can't even hold the unlit match for the candle which is Peterson's donuts!

There was no one at counter or up front for 15-20 minutes. As I was waiting, I saw flies flying on & sitting on the donuts left out for show. The ones behind glass (the cinnamon rolls) looked safe, but hope they get the ones exposed coverage or something

Early am is the best time to go. I have been there mid day, evening and night. Not a lot to choose from, not as fresh as first thing in the morning. I don't like that they keep the donuts with peanuts mixed with non peanut. I have a son that is allergic to peanuts and I stay clear of that section.

The frosting all tasted exactly the same, like bland sugar. The donuts themselves were not very delicious and of a harder than normal consistency. I wouldn't ever go back here with so many donut places around.

Instead of filling them with the delicious whipped cream filling, they use thick, gross "frosting", I'm pretty sure it's Crisco with vanilla flavoring. Such a bummer because this was the only place you could get the whip cream filled donuts...the rest of the donuts are nothing I can't get elsewhere and for a lot less money. I'll be buying my donuts at the grocery store from now on.

Stopped at this morning to get some donuts for my son's birthday. I did not check my order until I got home because I saw her bag them up and I knew it was correct. When I got home my plane old fashioned wasn't just a day old it wasn't a week old it was practically fossilized. By tapping it on the counter I was afraid I'd break a tile. The plain old fashioned was the same way extremely stale I paid 10 bucks for a half a dozen donuts and they sucked. Really disappointed and the lady behind the counter did not seem like she enjoyed being there it was if she was doing me a favor or I was putting her out for asking for some donuts. I'll find another place

Picked up a donut for each of my kids this morning. They were so greasy (I could squeeze the oil out) that neither of the kids finished theirs. They took a few bites and threw them away. My daughter said that she felt like throwing up. I have been here before and the same thing -- donuts stale and greasy.

I arrived at 5:50am on July 11th and they were closed. According to Google they should be open at 5am.

All I got was a single donut and an Arizona, somehow my total was $5.30???? The can itself has a 99. Cent price marker. So either my donut was $4 or something went wrong. Lady at the front counter also didn't give me my receipt, I'm pretty sure it was on purpose. I don't think I'll ever come in here again if they so blatantly want to scam people, it's not right.

Overheard the lady at the counter tell someone picking up an online order that this was america after she inquired about his English skills and he told her he only knew a little. It was really rude and unnecessary. All while serving mediocre donuts.
