WOW! Let me tell you, I underestimated this place! I cant remember the last time I went to a restaurant and enjoyed every single thing I tried! It did take us a while to be seated even with a reservation but once we were it was totally worth it! Gerry is fantastic and is a model to what excellent service and charisma looks like! He definitely added to the experience! For starters and sides, we ordered the Caesar salad, green fields salad, asparagus, au gratin potatoes, mac & cheese, truffle fries and burrata! Each one was absolutely delicious but our favorites were definitely the mac & cheese (I still dream about it), the salads and the fries! I ordered the chefs choice filet and it was delicious and perfectly medium! I tried a bite of my sister’s risotto and it was quite literally the best I’ve ever had! We forced room for dessert and tried just about everything on the menu! Our waiter brought out a complimentary Seasonal Berries dessert and it was surprisingly one of my favorites! The cheesecake is also delicious! Overall, this place is a 11/10! I cant wait to come back and experience it all over again! Highly recommend!

A wonderful restaurant with luxurious service. Their food is delicious and the first thinking, that make it great is, that it is very well presented and good taste as they say : “eyes eat”! They have countless wines and very tasty too. In this very pleasant restaurant you can sit very well and have a wonderful time. The atmosphere is great, I felt like I was in a movie, where they showing wonderful looking restaurant. I will definitely find time to visit this restaurant again ..

Excellent! Davis our waiter was great. Lobster bisque thick lobster pieces. Caesar salad with sardines. One of the best lobster Mac n cheese I’ve had. Creamed corn with bacon fresh sweet crisp! 10/10. Australian lobster tails were sweet. Lamb perfection. Filet one of the best no extra seasoning needed. Crème brûlée perfect!!!! Coke products

Excellent service, great food, fantastic selections, and warm atmosphere! We had Niko as our server and he was absolutely amazing; we'd definitely recommend him and will be requesting him next time we come back! One of our favorite parts was the leisurely pace. At no point did we feel rushed through any course and we were able to take our time throughout dinner. They also did a great job in making my birthday celebration extra special. If you are looking for someplace to celebrate or enjoy a delicious meal, consider The Capital Grille as your next location!

Came here to celebrate a couple birthdays for the family. We had an amazing waiter Micheal. He did the basic waiter duties very well such as making sure we had plenty of drinks, refills, frequently checking on us, etc. But Micheal went above and beyond with his service for our family. He really made an effort in making sure my toddler had a great experience too. Small things like getting a little chef hat and re-lighting the birthday candles so my son can blow them out again. Going out to restaurants with toddlers isn’t always easy. But Micheal made sure it was definitely worth it. Thank you Micheal!

Great professional but friendly service Perfectly cooked steak. Seafood tower with lobster, shrimp and crab. Tables nicely separated. Great place for a special occasion. Be sure to make a reservation. It was busy on a Monday night.

I honestly had one of the best dinning experiences at this Capital Grille. From the staff to the facility to the food, all five stars. I had the Bone in Rib-eye chef recco. Wine selection was small but great recco from my waiter. My waiter Matthew R. Was amazing, they give you a business card type at the end and such a classy experience. Steak was great, lobster crab starter was amazing and the cheesecake was great. The bread basket was lovely and I will for sure return. Ensure you have a reservation. :)

My wife and I recently had dinner at The Capital Grille in Lombard, Illinois, our first visit since moving from Florida to Chicago. Despite the busy Friday night, we were seated quickly and welcomed by our extraordinary server, Tae. His friendliness and thorough explanation of the menu immediately set a positive tone for the evening. Following Tae’s recommendations, we began with the Chilled Jumbo Lump Crab with housemade mustard sauce and Tuna Tartare with Avocado, Mango, and Sriracha. The crab was outstanding, bursting with flavor, while the tuna tartare was decent but didn’t stand out as much. Next, we had the Roasted Red Beets Salad, a delicious combination of mixed greens, arugula, whipped goat cheese, arugula pesto, heirloom tomatoes, and crushed pistachios. The flavors were well-balanced and refreshing. For our main courses, I had the Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms, and Fig Essence, and my wife chose the Pan-Seared Sea Bass with Miso Butter. Tae selected a red wine that paired perfectly with both dishes. The sea bass was excellent, and my filet mignon, especially with the caramelized onions, was amazing. We ended our meal with Crème Brûlée, which was rich and satisfying. The impeccable service from Tae and another staff member, Rafael, who consistently attended to our needs with a smile, made our night truly special. Overall, The Capital Grille provided an exceptional dining experience with its superb service, delicious food, and welcoming ambiance. We highly recommend it and look forward to our next visit.

What a restaurant should be. Great food, great service and a beautiful atmosphere. It was our anniversary and we truly had a great time. Our professional server was very pleasant and knew the menu well, there was no guess work, all questions answered. Service was timely at perfect intervals between courses. Thank you for the beautiful anniversary dessert at the end. We will be back... soon!

Outstanding service and excellent food! We started with the crab cakes and shrimp cocktail. Both were excellent! The shrimp were fresh and tender and the cocktail sauce had plenty of horseradish. I went off menu by adding the porcini rub to my filet and WOW! My wife had the scallops and really enjoyed them. We paired the meat with Brussel sprouts and mushrooms. Their sprout were cooked to perfection. Highly recommended! Capped off the meal with sorbet and a port. Can’t wait for our next trip to Capital Grille!

Anniversary dinner was absolutely amazing. ♥️♥️♥️. The steak 🥩 was cooked perfectly, the table sides were yummy and the service was top tier!

The absolute best meal and service I have had in a long time. The wait staff are wonderful. The entire experience was top notch. The best bread basket in any restaurant. Well worth the money.

Absolutely Amazing!!! Make sure to ask for Alex Diaz if you want a waiter with a personality and someone who makes your dinning experience special. My family & I went to celebrate my Birthday and 9th wedding anniversary. I felt like Alex went above and beyond to make sure everything was as we expected. Make sure to do yourself a favor and get the Lobster Mac and Cheese, Brussel Sprouts, Stoli Doli (signature martini) & The Capital Grille Cheesecake! Sides are large so make sure you get them to share. They do have a dress code and mask policy. But well worth it for amazing service and food. I was so delighted to see our table decorated with confetti and a hand written card. It's the small things like this that are truly appreciated and made the event something to remember.

Have never been here before, but will definitely be returning. The staff at the front door and hostess were super friendly and welcoming. The hostess asked if we were there for a special occasion and we were there for my birthday. She said she would set up our table and be right back. To my surprise, they placed a birthday note and confetti on the table before taking us back! Our server, Ebony, was extremely friendly and attentive. It's always great when staff are able to list off favorite menu items of their own because it makes the whole experience more enjoyable. Ebony was quick to place orders and bring out fresh plates and clear used items from the table- which other establishments often miss. Can't wait to come back!

OMG!!! Love this place. Friendly staff, awesome atmosphere and food is out of this world. They have a fantastic bar area, semi private rooms and main dining area. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu it’s all top quality food! I always feel amazing when I dine there. Definitely need to check this place out!!

We spent our Thanksgiving at Capital Grille. It was an excellent experience and the staff were fantastic, especially our main server. When you are paying for a fine dining, you definitely get that at Capital Grille, from the time you walk in to the time you leave. KUDOS to a well-established business.

Our waiter Matthew, went above and beyond for us tonight. Not only is he outgoing, charming and has great humor, he genuinely cares about his job and how to give his customers a great time & that we were happy the whole time, and he made sure to check up on us but not overly bearing. Not only that but our four year old son is autism and lady at the door tonight came back with a little pop it toy for him. This place genuinely gives the best service, food and drinks are great. Next time, we’re in Illinois we will be back!

I had my wedding reception here and everything was exceptional! Val Rios helped us plan everything. She was incredibly helpful, organized, and attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. This made mine and Steve’s day that more special. She made the entire process easy and stress-free. And the wait staff was top notch!

Spent the beginning of the week under the weather so I didn't get a chance to cook. My family and I went to Capital Grill instead. This was the first time we've ever gone out for Thanksgiving. I have to say the food and the service we outstanding. Our server Ray was calm, attentive and professional. He truly provided a fantastic experience. My family can be a lot and he handled it with care and ease. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Top notch staff and experience.

Celebrated my birthday and they never fail. Capital Grille always rolls out the red carpet and makes you feel special and appreciated you are celebrating at their restaurant. The service is world class and our server, Claude, went out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of. We have celebrated many milestones at Capital Grille and they are the best!!!

A week or so after New Years, my wife and I had a wonderful dinner here with her mother and father. Everything from the service, ambiance, menu, drinks, and terrifically prepared food choices, were just amazing. Beverly our server was wonderful. We will be back !

We had the crab cake and bacon for appetizers and they were delicious! Then for entree we had the regular Ribeye, the porcini crusted Ribeye, and the lobster mac and cheese . Everything was cooked perfectly! Our waiter Jason was very attentive! He was helpful and on top of everything. We definitely recommend and will come back!

We spend celebrate every New Year's Eve here, with a few special occasions sprinkled in throughout the year! They never disappoint! If it's your first time, do yourself a favor and get the Dry Aged Porcini bone-in ribeye and lobster mac n cheese!

Celebrated my sister's birthday here. From the food, to the atmosphere, to the service all was top notch. Special thanks to our server John, he was extremely helpful in making the night memorable for my sister. We had a mix of seafood and meat during our meal and all was delicious! Really liked how nice and yet unpretentious this place was, looking forward to coming back!

Food was very good Atmosphere was great and the bar area was good as well. I was seated by Deen who was very friendly and easy to talk to. My waiters Ralph and ?? I’m forgetting the other guy name, but they were both kind and knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent suggestions. Very nice location

My wife and I always come to Capital Grille when we celebrate something special. Great food, great atmosphere and exceptional service! We recently dined here for our anniversary and our server Matthew was exceptional! Highly recommend this as one of our favorite places to to go!

It’s always a great time for many reason! Had reservations for a birthday dinner last night for six people, we had Gerry and he was absolutely perfect. We got seated right away on a busy Saturday night. Everything from the food to the drinks and service was OUTSTANDING! The free dessert was absolutely delicious! Kara came to check on us and what a pleasure she was. This was my 4th time here and it’s always as good as it can get. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks to all of the staff because they work really well together to make sure everyone is happy and well taken care of! Thanks for the fantastic experience! We will definitely back!

I made a reservation to come here for our anniversary dinner. This is my first time coming to any Capital Grill location. I do have to take off a star because for a fine dining restaurant, they really should enforce their dress code policy. I saw a kid come in with his stinky sports uniform. I saw some aging young guys and girls come in with t shirts and sneakers. I wouldn’t be surprised if people came in with their pjs. Keep it classy people. We waited half hour even though we had a reservation at 7 pm. Once we got to our table. We saw that they decorated the table and had a card. The manager came over and apologized for the wait. He gave us the pan fried calamari with hot cherry peppers for free. We ordered lobster and crab cake with lemon basil aioli, double cut lamb rib chops, sauteed spinach, lobster mac and cheese, and porcini rubbed bone-in ribeye. We got complimentary dessert and wine too. Our server Gerardo B was amazing. He was very kind and attentive. The whole staff while we were seated were all great. They made sure we got everything we needed. Prices are to be expected since it’s a 4 dollar sign steakhouse. Overall, it’s a 4 out of 5. -pan fried calamari with hot cherry peppers 5 - this is good if you like spicy. The pan fried calamari had the perfect texture. Not too rubbery, not tough. -lobster and crab cake with lemon basil aioli 5 - I loved how flaky the crab cake was, with the sauce it easily melts in your mouth. I would savor each bite. -mint gremolata and honey crusted double cut lamb rib chops 5 - I was surprised at how beefy these were, I was expecting them to be small. Lamb is only good when it’s cooked medium rare. Too much brown will ruin it. The meat was tender and you can taste the seasoning. -lobster mac and cheese 4 - this was good but I wanted a bit more lobster meat in it. For the price, they should have added bigger chunks of meat. -porcini rubbed bone-in ribeye with 15 year aged balsamic 5 - the ribeye was good. You can taste the balsamic, it’s more on the subtle side though. The ribeye is bigger than it looks in the picture. -dessert 5 - the complimentary dessert was the cheesecake and flourless chocolate espresso cake. Both desserts were excellent.

The seasoning was done just right to bring out the fantastic beefy flavor. Most importantly, the steaks were grilled to the right temperature without being over or under. Their wine pairings were fantastic as well so would recommend taking the time to review the list before ordering.

Enjoyed a nice dinner with colleagues. Was looking forward to a great steak. Capital Grille did not disappoint. I ordered the sliced fillet with onions and mushrooms. We also ordered creamed spinach, potatoes, and mushrooms on the side. Also ordered an amazing bottle of Tahuan (Malbec) 2019. A few minor observations. I noticed the waiter did not ask if there were any food allergies. He did not ask if any of us would like any cocktails to start the meal. I also noticed that the wine I picked from the menu was not the same year as the one served. Minor details since the quality of the food was really excellent. Keep up the good work.

The service and quality of the food is not even close to what it used to be. I hope that they can get it together soon. Their steaks were always phenomenal, but this time around the steaks were just average at best. The waiter also kept on disappearing and we constantly had to flag him down every time we needed something. In the past if you had crumbs on your table they would clean them up, not this time. To be fair, they did have an African lobster that was phenomenal and lobster bisque was very good as well. All I'm saying is that if you're charging premium prices for your food, you should give your customers premium quality food and service.

Food is outstanding. The Help are so very qualified and professional. Bar at lunch time needs a busboy to allow the bartender/s to continue serve $ . To enable him or her to converse and upsell. But mainly to be able to talk with guests that come in wanting to talk to the bartender.

Our family has dined at this location more than 15 times over the years celebrating wedding anniversaries, birthdays, graduation and the like. We arrived for our 5:30 reservation to a vibrant restaurant full of consumers. However, the front house staff appeared overwhelmed. We waited patiently at check in only to wait without any of the host simply stating please be patient we are working on your seating. Obviously from their lack of composure expressed on their faces. If the front is out of sync following is the back of the house. Javier did his job. Lobster shell in the bisque. Crab cake overdone confirmed. Hopefully this is received positively the equilibrium of the restaurant was off. In kitchen chaos the show goes on but the calm, friendly and poker face is the game.

It saddens me to say this, but the food wasn't good at all. I don't live near the restaurant, so to go that far just for a carryout says I must have been impressed at some point. I used to go there every year for my bday dinner, but this time they missed the mark. My cheesecake was absolutely delicious, but the calamari didn't look like it was cooked thoroughly based on the color & texture after trying a piece. After putting it in the pan to cook it a little longer, it was much better, but my stomach didn't agree & I developed a very close relationship with my toilet for the next 16 hours! 😵☹️😖😫

Had to change my review last time we came in the food was awful sat on the warmer for way to long took 40 minutes to get the bread basket had the lobster Mac and cheese which was so tough I always get this dish it comes with bread crumbs they didn’t even put the breadcrumbs on top was super hard and just was left out for two long won’t come back anymore, husbands sliders tasted like they had been sitting out for an hour. Didn’t even box out food up handed us boxes which didn’t even get enough boxes we were so over it we just wanted to leave. Really disappointing since we come here twice a week

Prices are absolutely freakin OUTRAGEOUS for the same basic level of "fancy" food you can get at any other nice restaurant. Any place else would be 1/3 to 1/2 the cost in my experience. What amounted to a can of cream corn (which you can get for $3) was $14!!! There was NOTHING special about the corn, any of the food or the drink. These people should be ashamed of what they are charging for thier food. They make a fancy building, put the waiters in uniforms, then want to double or triple for the food. We had ONE drink (cocktail), appetizer, ONE salad, side of corn, and ONE fillet steak.... $150!!!!! ONE. HUNDRED. FIFTY. DOLLARS. The drink alone was $29. For ONE old-fashioned cocktail. Absolutely rediculous. I tried calling the manager and seeing if they would give me an adjustment to the bill (at $80 it still would be high, but that would be more reasonable) and the manager COULD CARE LESS. Did NOTHING to adjust the bill. So, and I hated to do it, I had them remove the tip. Because WITH tip, the bill was $175!! For just the items listed earlier! Never going back, and, will let as many people as possible know my experience with this "fancy" restaurant.
