You can book Pont de la Tour for a pre theatre meal - go to"First Table". 50% off all food. So you get the whole restaurant experience but effectively on your own. Service was exceptional, location is fab, you're on the Thames looking at Tower Bridge. Food was very good but we had two issues. The crab tart with beautiful crisp pastry it was hard to get any crab taste - we did mention this to Matthew, or excellent waiter and sommelier. He said he'd pass our comments to the kitchen. My monkfish with wild mushroom and lardons came with two pieces of fish. The first was perfect, the second had been overcooked in one side so was a little tough. Overall the dish was proper french cooking and super tasty. Poached pear on a parfait bed drenched under hot toffee sauce was the best dish of the night. With 2 glasses of wine the bill was just over £150. Take off £50 for the 50% savings and we paid £103. That's £51.50 and a complete bargain
Oh my goodness...what a place! Beautiful surroundings, cosy with the fire and heaters outside and delicious drinks. Appreciate we went in February when less busy early evening, but definitely felt lovely to get away from the hustle and bustle and have a slice of peace and stunning atmosphere.
Such an amazing experience here. The food was delicious, the staff were really friendly. In particular, Jakub, Alper, Damla & Dennis gave outstanding hospitality. I would definitely come here again. I wasn’t convinced about whether to order the pancake, but Alper took and showed me how they made their delicious pancakes and gave me a taste. Thank you for the great night.
This was my third time dining at Le Pont de la Tour, and it continues to impress every single visit. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views of Tower Bridge that make the whole evening feel extra special. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for both special occasions and relaxed dining. The food was exceptional — beautifully presented and full of flavour. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The service was attentive, professional, and friendly throughout. Consistently excellent on every visit. A fantastic restaurant with amazing food and an incredible setting. Highly recommended — we will definitely be returning again!
One of the best dinner in London. From beginning to end, it was an excellent experience. We were welcomed by a very sweet and professional lady who gave us a table on the terrace. There was a great and buzzy atmosphere. We really enjoyed the service which was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We ordered the octopus salad, the courgette flower and the crab, followed by the lobster and the ray wing. Everything cooked to perfection! I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone looking for an iconic experience in London.
I had a truly wonderful experience at Le Pont de la Tour. The location is absolutely stunning — right by Tower Bridge with breathtaking views over the Thames, creating an elegant and romantic atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The food was exceptional: beautifully presented, perfectly balanced, and full of refined French flavours. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and of the highest quality. The service deserves special praise — attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling intrusive. It made the whole evening feel effortless and special. Le Pont de la Tour is a perfect choice for a romantic dinner, a celebration, or simply a memorable night out in London. An outstanding restaurant that truly leaves an impression. ✨🍷
We visited Le Pont de la Tour as a small group, looking for a place where we could truly enjoy the evening without rushing, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. From the moment we arrived, everything felt calm, polished, and thoughtfully arranged — from the warm welcome at the entrance to the beautifully set tables and the soft background ambience that instantly makes you feel comfortable. The location adds something truly special to the experience. Sitting by the Thames, watching the lights reflect on the water and seeing Tower Bridge gradually light up as the evening goes on, creates an atmosphere that feels both intimate and impressive at the same time. It’s the kind of setting where you naturally slow down and enjoy every moment. Service throughout the evening was exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, explaining dishes in detail, offering wine suggestions tailored to our choices, and checking in at exactly the right moments. Everything felt effortless and natural, never forced or overly formal. The food was outstanding. Each course was beautifully presented and carefully prepared, with refined flavours and perfectly balanced combinations. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients and the precision behind every dish. Portions were just right, leaving us satisfied without feeling heavy, and each plate felt like a small experience on its own. What made the evening even more enjoyable was the overall flow — no waiting, no feeling rushed, just a smooth and relaxed dining experience from start to finish. By the end of the night, we all agreed that Le Pont de la Tour is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. A wonderful choice for special occasions, meaningful gatherings, or simply a beautifully executed evening in the heart of London.
I had a wonderful birthday lunch at Le Pont de la Tour and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The team was incredibly warm and attentive, making the whole afternoon feel special without being over the top. We were even invited to enjoy cocktails after lunch on the winter terrace with fire pits, which was such a lovely touch. Fantastic food, great atmosphere, and genuinely kind service - I would absolutely recommend it for a celebration or a special meal.
Le Pont de la Tour was fantastic. The waiting team was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional. Great cocktails and very high-quality food. The onion soup was a standout: absolutely delicious and exactly like the one I’ve had in France. Can’t wait to go back!
An exceptional dining experience defined by elegance, attention to detail, and impeccable service. The atmosphere is sophisticated and beautifully curated, creating a refined yet welcoming setting that instantly sets the tone for a memorable evening. The cuisine was exquisite, flawlessly presented and perfectly balanced in flavour. The dessert are another level of taste , I never had before such light and yummy desserts .Every element felt thoughtfully considered. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the outstanding service provided by Petro and Alper. Their professionalism, grace, and intuitive attention were remarkable. They delivered a level of hospitality that felt effortless, discreet, and genuinely warm — the hallmark of true luxury service. Highly recommend for sure will be back again 👌
What an amazing night we had here! We eat very good steak. Perfectly cooked! The serves was incredible, friendly. After diner we enjoyed some drinks outside with the best view of the Tower Bridge. A 10 out of 10 experience. You should definitely visit
We visit Le Pont de la Tour every time we come to London, and it remains our absolute favourite spot. We had an excellent dinner last night - the food was outstanding as always and the team were absolutely lovely. A consistently special experience in a beautiful setting. Highly recommended.
We first visited Le Pont de la Tour in the summer and had such a wonderful experience that we couldn’t wait to come back. We returned today with some friends, and we’re delighted to say that the food and the ambiance are still absolutely amazing. Everything was just as refined and enjoyable as we remembered. What truly made the visit special was the incredibly thoughtful team, who recognised me and my wife even after months had passed - such a rare and personal touch! A beautiful restaurant with outstanding food, atmosphere, and service. We’ll definitely be back again.
We had the most amazing time here on the river. We sat under the fair lights on the couches and enjoyed the festive atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind and generous. It’s one of the most beautiful places in London to enjoy a cocktail with a stunning view. Thank you to all the staff. We will 100% be back and loved every minute here. Thanks again!!
Delicious and cute spot for French fare. The mussels, the Comte, the sea bass and the ratatouille are really yummy. Nice cocktails, and a beautiful view from the tables outside. Service was generally good, albeit they forgot our drinks once and our dessert. Nonetheless definitely would recommend and hope to be back!
What a memorable evening! Sadly things didn’t go well, but the staff dealt with things so well that I am more than happy to recommend and would go back. Firstly, my sister’s fish was a little too undercooked. I had the same at first thought it was ok but after a few more bites, mine was also under cooked. The waiters apologised profusely and ordered replacements. Both dishes were removed from the bill. The staff also then brought over a bottle of wine they thought we would like based on our dish and the wine we had ordered, with another apology. Then to top it off, my friend got stuck in the disabled loo. Not sure what had happened - it’s an electronic locking system. The staff were wonderful yet again! Charles managed to get out in the end, just as the maitre d’ arrived with a chisel and a knife to help to get him out. I know this sounds dreadful but the staff were so brilliant. The food was delicious. So I do recommend. We are all human. Mistakes happen; it’s the way they are dealt with which makes all the difference.
We went to Le Pont de la Tour for a special occasion and had one of the best dinner in London. The manager was really kind and gave us a table on the terrace with the view on Tower Bridge, which was a great backdrop for our dinner. The food was delicious and the sommelier paired it with really nice wines. Service was impeccable. Would definitely be back!
Tasting Menu with a Tower Bridge View @lepontdelatourldn 🥂🌉🇫🇷 Last night, we had an unforgettable dining experience at Le Pont De La Tour, a luxurious riverside restaurant that offers stunning views of Tower Bridge and the City. The ambiance evokes the Parisian chic of the 1930s, creating the perfect setting for an exquisite meal. 🌟 We indulged in their regional tasting menu with wine pairings, and it was a pure taste journey through the Loire Valley! 🍷🍽️ We started with a delightful Globe Artichoke Salad, followed by the delicious Monkfish Beurre Blanc. Both dishes were a perfect balance of flavors and truly tasty! 🥗🐟 For the main course, we savored Cochon de Lait - suckling pig belly served with a fricassée of wild mushrooms, petite pois, spring greens, and crispy crackling. It was cooked to absolute perfection and every bite was heavenly. 🍖🌿🍄 The dessert was a fabulous Crémet d'Anjou Mille-feuille that ended our meal on a sweet note. Each layer was wonderful, showcasing the finesse of French pastry. 🍰💫 The wine pairings were thoughtfully selected, perfectly complementing each course and enhancing the overall experience. 🍷👌 If you’re looking for a truly memorable dining experience with iconic views and exceptional French cuisine, Le Pont De La Tour is the place to be!
La Pont de la Tour is fantastic , amazing food, stunning riverside views, and top-notch service. Miguel was incredible and made our evening extra special with his warm hospitality. Highly recommend!
This place is fantastic. It offers amazing cocktails, stunning riverside views, and excellent service. Miguel was incredible and made our evening special with his warm hospitality. I definitely will come back.
Le Pont de la Tour, near Tower Bridge, offers an elegant indoor fine dining experience with excellent service. I started with the grilled prawns, which were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The roast Challans duck was another highlight—cooked exactly as I requested, perfectly pink, with tender meat and crispy skin. The French cheese selection was delightful, but the desserts fell a bit short. The ambiance is sophisticated, with many diners dressed smartly, making it a great spot for a an upscale evening out. Recommended for its french dishes and refined atmosphere!
Beautiful riverside location with unbeatable views of Tower Bridge. The new menu is fresh, creative, and full of flavour—highlights included the seafood and seasonal dishes. Service was impeccable: attentive, friendly, and professional throughout. A perfect spot for a special evening or relaxed lunch. Highly recommended!
Went there to celebrate a final date night before getting married. The restaurant is a real gem right by the Tower Bridge and the views are simply stunning! The food is exceptionally well done and the service is at par with the food. The chef must really love what he does since it shows up in your plates.
We were in the bar area, which is a very pleasant place with excellent views and spectacular service. Miguel was very kind, recommended some dishes, and making sure everything was perfect. Everything was delicious. It's a place we'll return to.
Very attentive and hard working staff, excellent food and a good wine list.
One of the best experiences we’ve had in a while. The food and drinks were top quality, and the service really stood out. Thanks to Atakan for the recommendations and for making us feel so well looked after.
Went to this restaurant on a whim while walking in London. Great food, lovely staff with amazing views. Definitely will be returning and I advise everyone to give this place a try.
I was with friends for dinner on Friday, the restaurant was full, you could say that only 4 tables were free, in the other part of the restaurant there was only one waiter, even though he was alone, he really managed to serve all the tables, we didn't have to wait long to place the order, but Patrick didI think his name was. he gave us perfect advice about food, plus we were surprised by his knowledge and advice on wine for starters and the second course. It was a great birthday dinner, my friends were happy and I will definitely go back there,.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had such a wonderful experience thanks to our waiter, Jakub! He went above and beyond to make our dinner memorable — taking the time to chat with us, share local recommendations, and even invite us over to watch as he flambéed our Crêpes Suzette. He also made my friend’s birthday extra special by surprising her with a beautiful birthday dessert at the end of the meal. His energy, warmth, and attention to detail made the evening truly unforgettable. Thank you, Jakub, for such a fantastic dining experience!
The views are incredible. The food was superb (we ordered the tortellini, coq au vin and faux filet, all delicious). It was our proposal dinner, and Alper and the rest of the team made sure everything was as special as the occasion, including a couple of surprises. Now we’ve got another reason to come back. Thanks for everything!!
Each time I have visited Le Pont de la Tour I am greeted with smiles and the warmest welcome. Given the best table and kind attention. I happily recommend this haven any time of the day or evening. With best wishes From Celia Imrie
I had a lovely experience overall at this restaurant. The atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. Our server, Alper, was fabulous. However, as someone who prefers vegan food, I was a bit disappointed with the limited options. There was only one vegan dish available in the appetizers, mains, and desserts. Because of this, instead of enjoying a full variety of dishes, we had to settle for just one option, which took away from the overall dining experience. I really enjoyed the quality of the food and the hospitality, but I do hope the restaurant considers expanding its vegan menu in the future. With more plant-based choices, it would be an even better place to dine.
The service was 100% amazing loved the restaurant however our food tended to get cold very quickly and had to ask to re-heat our food. However the staff were very polite and had no issues with heating our food up again. The atmosphere was very pleasant and warm. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We were offered some warm bread 🥖 and butter to start us off with. All the food was very delicious and scrumptious. The food portion may look small but very filling.
During our visit to London, my brother and I needed last minute dinner plans and found an open reservation for Le Pont de la Tour. Right away i was impressed by the upscale and stylish decor and the friendliness of the staff that greeted us. We were seated by a windows that gave a great view of London Bridge, which was cool. French food was good though depending on your taste, you may want to ask for salt to enhance it. Overall, a very pleasant experience.
I’m a regular diner at The Pont de la Tour. The last few meals I’ve had there have been very enjoyable. Wine is very nice. Service given by Petrit and Alper is marvellous. It could be warmer, apparently they have some issues with their heating. Overall good.
Le Pont de la Tour is in a lovely location by the river with views of Tower Bridge. I went there for dinner with a large group. The food was delicious and well seasoned with the chicken being especially soft and juicy. The first course took a while to arrive but the service was otherwise professional and efficient, with the staff being very attentive. Sadly, they did not have the tarte au citron I was looking forward to. It had been changed to chocolate fondant. I chose the creme brulee instead, but they ran out of that also. So one of the party had to swap to chocolate fondant. The restaurant is well decorated and very inviting. I would love to return to try more of the a la carte menu and hopefully, they will have my lemon tarte.
Beautiful food, great service and atmosphere, very polite and helpful staff. Bill was quite steep, but that's to be expected. Portions were also quite small, also to ve expected. As a once in a blue moon treat or occasion, I'd say its perfect if you have the cash to splash.
We enjoyed our dinner at this fine French restaurant while we were in London. We were set on window seat, so we had an amazing view of the Tower Bridge. They have good wine selection, which were a bit pricy imo, but food, atmosphere and location justifiesd it.
Very nice restaurant - had very high expectations that they did not quite meet - fine restaurant, beautiful location, lots of choice on the menu. The smoked salmon was very good but the portion very. Mall for the price. Tuna tartar was very good. The crabbe was both very creative and good. The main course had promise but two of the guests’ fish were overcooked. The duck was very good. Dessert was quite delicious - passion tart, Delice were great and the crepes Suzette were kind of fun. The service in general was very good but once a large party came that sat near us, everything slowed down tremendously. The atmosphere was lovely - we sat outside with a view of the Tower Bridge. Heaters worked great once it started to get cold. All in all a very good meal but not quite to the standards we expected.
Whilst the location and views were great, the food was on par. The presentation looked great and flavour combinations are safe but it was not anything to write home about. Prawns were burned and mushy and the fruit with the steak had no flavour. Staff were friendly and attentive. If you were to come here, it can cater for large groups.
Amazing dinner views of the London bridge with a meal that could have been a little better but still worth the experience. Started off with the mussels and honestly this may have been the hands down one the most amazing appetizer/entree I’ve ever had. Mussels were cooked perfectly and the sauce that it produced was fantastic. When paired with the complimentary bread and butter I could’ve filled up just on that and would’ve given this place an easy 5/5. Ended up on the Canard and even though the server was very accommodating I just didn’t feel right sending it back after a second time. Asked for it medium and it came out twice basically well done which is a bit of a let down as you would expect to get it done right the first time for the price point. The sides were fantastic and came out piping hot and well seasoned. Great place to get an elegant dinner with an amazing view of the London bridge but this sadly time around the chef was on par with everything else for the price point. Definitely would recommend nonetheless.
While the view is gorgeous, we were less happy with the quality of food and service that came along with it. There was nothing to complain about for the food but for those prices, you would really expect better quality… maybe I’m just a sucker for good value. There just didn’t seem to be that much pride or thought taken to make each dish special or memorable. However, I could have just ordered the wrong things as well. While the waiters seemed friendly and happy to serve, the maitre’d seemed to give off an arrogant air and wanted to be off doing other errands than to make us feel more welcome.
Xmas day lunch The restaurant wasn’t very Christmas decorated and we felt cold throughout the whole meal which was disappointing Service was decent, we were being rushed first of all, they bought our starters whilst we were still eating the canapés so I had to tell them to slow down. The food was nice, the turkey was a little dry, all food had been left on the hot plate and was served warm rather than hot. The recommended wine from the sommelier was excellent as was the coffee & tea We had been wanted to visit this restaurant for many years overall we had a good time but left a little disappointed.
I ate at Le Pont de la tour about 15-years ago and remember the service and food being faultless. At that visit I had a chocolate souffle that took an extra 20-minutes to make and was worth the wait. I also remember the restaurant being packed and that we had booked quite far in advance. My visit yesterday was very different. First of all, the restaurant was empty. There were only 5 other diners inside which is so strange for a Friday lunchtime. Secondly, service was slow. Considering there were very few other diners to serve, I had to ask for my water to be topped up three times. I know it seems like something small, but this restaurant used to have impeccable service. The food still speaks for itself. I ordered from the lunchtime set menu. I had a salad, followed by sole and then a chocolate fondant for dessert. I'm not sure what the dressing on the salad was, but it was delicious! Also, the portion of sole was huge. I love chocolate so had high hopes for the fondant and it did not disappoint. It was served with an espresso ice cream which complemented the fondant very well. The menu is excellent value for money at £35 and includes a glass of champagne. The restaurant is in Shad Thames, right near Tower Bridge. There are lovely views of the bridge from the restaurant.
Overall: it was good once, but I wouldn't return. For 300 GBP between two people, I'd rather go elsewhere. The food is great, the value is not! Food: I had the most expensive steak, I can't recall the name, the green beans, side of mash, and the tomato salad. I will say that everything was delicious, but I don't think the tomato salad was the freshest. Atmosphere: cool spot with a nice ambiance. Great for special occasions overlooking the Bridge. Servers: The steak comes with some potatoes, but the server didn't bother to tell me not to order a side of mash potatoes cause I'm already getting potatoes. Also I was drinking beers and working my way down the menu, the server didn't bother mention that the beer I ordered was non-alcoholic. Both of which seems rather minimum for your job.
2.5/5 Stars. Great setting with a killer-view. Well-dressed and pleasant staff that don't overly interrupt your meal conversations. The food is immaculately presented, however the positives for me ended there. The menu didn't excite me and felt extremely limited for a top restaurant. The taste wasn't note-worthy and we left rather disappointed. The lamb lacked punch, and the Dover Sole was lacking a companion—maybe due to its overly salted condition—extra sides are necessary to join the Sole with a partner. Then the price for the food seems excessive for what you enjoy. I understand the location demands higher rates, but if the food isn't on point, what is the point?
3 stars. Good was: the location, pleasantly warm, main course chicken was very good and a decent creme brûlée. Nice toilets Poor was: only being offered the a la carte menu on a very quiet lunchtime until specifically asking for the fixed price menu Bread only when nudged. Odd for a reasonable French restaurant Starter came too soon when having aperitif Smoked salmon (£21 on the a la carte menu) was about an eighth of a Tesco or Waitrose smoked salmon pack for £4.50 and a couple of small amounts of niceness added Restaurant almost completely empty and drinks area completely empty. Even at 1.15 on a Thursday in September So …. 3 stars only
I ordered the roast chicken, but it was far too dry for my liking. When I asked for a replacement, it took a long time to arrive, and unfortunately the second portion seemed undercooked. The delay and the quality of the food made the experience very frustrating. While the restaurant itself has a beautiful setting by the Thames. Between the long wait, the issues with the chicken, and the overall feeling of disappointment, I don’t think we will be returning.
