Located on the 60th floor at 22 Horizon, Bishopsgate. Security was quick and friendly, then a dedicated lift takes you to the public viewing platform on the 58th floor, before another lift to the restaurant. Feel your ears ‘pop’ a couple of times in the first lift as it’s so fast! As you come out the second lift you’re greeted by the amazing London skyline and the bar area. As bars and restaurants go, they are both beautifully appointed. We had a window table overlooking the Thames, with a beautiful view of Tower Bridge, the Tower of London etc. Service was attentive and friendly. A live DJ adds ambience but maybe slightly too loud. Also, they were quite strict on the 2-hour table time, but they did find us a great space in the bar afterwards for further drinks. I should mention the food! Loved Gordon’s Fried Chicken (GFC), the shredded duck & bao buns, and the sashimi. The Californian rolls were our least favourite but still good. Everything about this place is excellent.
We had an outstanding experience at Lucky Cat. We chose the Taste of Lucky Cat-Journey tasting menu, and every single dish was exceptional, beautifully balanced, full of flavour, and presented with real finesse. The view was truly unbeatable, offering a perfect panorama of London’s key landmarks. It elevated the entire experience and made it even more memorable. A special mention goes to Guido, whose service was phenomenal from start to finish. He was attentive, knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. His professionalism and personality added a unique touch to our experience. Highly recommended! It was unforgettable dining experience.
Gordon Ramsay doesn’t come to play, this restaurant is absolutely outstanding. The views are almost 360 degrees of the London skyline with stunning floor to ceiling windows. Our waitress kindly seated us by the window so we could fully enjoy the view. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable always on hand without being intrusive. The food was exceptional, anyone who says otherwise is simply wrong! There were two of us and we chose the tasting menu, which was more than enough. The variety and pairings were perfectly curated and the GFC chicken was everything we hoped for and more. We ended the meal with adorable mochi ball desserts which were a lovely finishing touch. I highly recommend this restaurant, it’s absolutely worth the experience!
It was on my bucket list to eat at a Gordon Ramsey restaurant and a friend and I chose The Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsey on our recent European vacation. The atmosphere very much suited my “crazy cat lady” vibe. Service was fancy and very professional. Seating was comfortable and roomy and I fell instantly in love with the little golden cat on the table. I was able to purchase “Little Gordo” as a souvenir. My friend and I chose the Express Lunch - Tochi option - before a show. I have never experienced such delicious food, ever. It was very filling, but I wanted to keep eating it, just to keep experiencing the taste. Even the toilets were fancy and cat-themed. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This place is absolutely insane!!! The food is incredible, really up to date, modern Asian fusion style. Each dish was amazing. The staff are lovely, attentive and welcoming. The views across the London are picturesque too. If you're in London, go here!! We are definitely coming back soon. Also, buy your lucky cats to take home!!
My partner treated me to dinner at Lucky Cat for my birthday and it was absolutely outstanding. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Our waiter Yasin made our experience enjoyable and looked after us throughout our dinner. We opted for the 'Signature' tasting menu and we're blown away with the amount of food we were served. The dishes were absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. Once we finished our meal we enjoyed the views across the city. A real treat and would absolutely love to return.
Great brunch set menu. It comes with 6 courses, including unlimited bao buns. All of the courses were great, especially the egg fried rice and dumplings, and the views are incredible. Friendly staff, and they did a great job of welcoming us for our anniversary.
Truly an incredible experience! To begin with the view is just amazing especially at sunset! Chef Velimir and crew are some of the top-notch Sushi chefs and hospitality workers! The food is incredible from the wagyu to the fatty tuna to the signature Gordon Ramsay GC chicken! Incredible wine list! Impeccable service! Special shout out to Nero the waiter!
Came here for our anniversary and was served by Guido - he was so lovely and delivered a fabulous and speedy service! The food was so tasty too, recommend the calamari and sweet and sour prawns. Overall atmosphere was buzzing!
I had such a wonderful evening at this restaurant — every single dish was delicious, but the nigiri chef selection was truly outstanding and easily the highlight of the meal. The soufflé dessert was also incredible, the perfect sweet finish. The service was impeccable, and I especially want to thank Victoria for taking such great care of us — she was warm, attentive, and made the experience even more special. The entire staff was fantastic, the atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, and the views from the 60th floor are simply stunning. If I’m ever back in London, I will absolutely return. Highly recommended!
Last Saturday we did the bottomless brunch and it was out of this world. Margarita cocktails are incredible and every dish was perfect. The mushroom tempura, sushi, egg fried rice were just some favourites. The experience we had was made so memorable by both Anna Maria and Eduardo who were warm, kind, genuine and so much fun. We feel so lucky to have had this experience thanks to them both. We’ll be back for a sunset dinner soon I am sure!
Absolutely incredible, one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We had a few dishes and shared, including the chicken and egg fried rice which was stunning. Our sever Anna Maria was absolutely amazing! She made lots of suggestions for us (all of which we had) and it was stunning! Her service was 2bd to none. Very attentive, very friendly and very knowledgeable. All of the team there today were amazing! We were celebrating my birthday and a few of the team came to our table to wish me a happy birthday. On top of all this, the food was absolutely stunning! Thank you so much to everyone at Lucky Cat, especially Anna Maria!we will definitely be back
Birthday surprise, wasn't disappointed. Went for the food, stayed for the views & music. They have their own viewing platform actually higher than the public one-wow! The food was nice but found the edamame a bit bitter, it was changed immediately for a less fussy but much tastier dish. Have to mention the fabulous & snazzy Raphael who took us to see the restaurants private viewing area followed by a lovely birthday cocktail. Very attentive & so much fun - a real asset to the team. Our servers Riad, Yasin & Vishal deserve a shout out too. Many thanks for an unforgettable memory. The loos & views were amazing too haha😄!.
What a venue for the view of the entire London. Sunset from that high was just brilliant. We were well looked after by a very friendly Spaniard Guido ! Now for the good bits… good Asian flavours but felt they are still holding back on the punch compared to places like Hakkasan ! However, hands down the passion fruit soufflé in town! Simply amazing. For a special occasion, a fab venue!
Last night I visited this place, and it was truly special. It was my mom’s birthday, and I wanted to surprise my parents with a beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. And I did it. My father has always been skeptical about places like this, but yesterday he was genuinely impressed every dish was on the highest level. I especially want to highlight Mustafa and Mariana they made my mom’s birthday unforgettable. I truly recommend this place. They deserve it.
This was my birthday dinner and I can’t faul a thing. We went for the Signature tasting menu and it was the best meal of 2025. Highlights: Yellowtail tartar Chileab Seabass Tempura mushroom Gordon Fried Chicken Egg Fried Rice This menu is £130pp but we were never this stuffed before so there is PLENTY of food. And the views are best in London, I thought Shard was the best but this was even better. Our waiter Guido was fantastic too.
I had an incredible experience at LuckyCat Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. But what truly made the evening special was AnaMaria — she was superb! Her hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail made us feel so welcome and taken care of. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this place — and if you visit, ask for AnaMaria! 🌟
First of all Yasin is absolut legend. One of the best waiter I was ever served by. Very attentive and friendly, funny and helpful Food was good, we ordered tasting menu, mushroom tempura with black garlic emulsion blew my mind, “Baby Chicken” was delicious and we also enjoyed scallops. Yellow tail Sushi melted in mouth and interesting choice of sashimi fish. On the other hand baby octopuses were bit tough and some of steak pieces were bit chewy and not cut through properly which made eating it using chopsticks challenging, tasted good tho. Egg fried rice, not my cup of tea, but my sister liked it so I’d say it’s good. Nice selection of good vines, mocktails were bit disappointing on the other hand. Overall great experience, I did enjoy the atmosphere and view from 60th floor was stunning. Thank you very much guys, and I’ll see you next time
Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay in Bishopsgate offers more than just dinner, it delivers a full evening experience set high above the City with sweeping views towards London Bridge. From the moment you arrive in the building lobby, you sense you are heading somewhere special. It is slightly complicated to reach the restaurant as you need to change lifts along the way, but once you arrive at the top and the doors open to the skyline, the small inconvenience is quickly forgotten. The setting is striking. Floor to ceiling windows frame the Thames and London Bridge beautifully, particularly as the city lights begin to glow after sunset. The ambience is refined yet energetic, with a stylish Asian inspired interior that feels modern without being overpowering. The lighting is warm and flattering, the music adds atmosphere without dominating conversation, and the overall tone strikes a balance between sophisticated and relaxed. The food is where Lucky Cat truly shines. One of the standout dishes was a beautifully presented beef course. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, with a deep caramelised crust and tender, juicy centre. It was served with a vibrant green sauce on the side, adding freshness and a subtle herbaceous lift that complemented the richness of the meat. The seasoning was confident but not excessive, allowing the quality of the beef to speak for itself. The Japanese style rice bowl with a soft egg was another highlight. The rice was flavourful and comforting, topped with crispy shallots, spring onions, and delicate flakes that added texture. The soft egg brought everything together, creating a rich, silky coating when mixed through. It felt indulgent yet balanced, with a depth of flavour that made it difficult to stop eating. The small plates were equally impressive. The glazed skewered dish, served with lime and cucumber, delivered a punchy combination of sweet, savoury and a gentle heat. The glaze was glossy and full of flavour, with a hint of smokiness underneath. The citrus element cut through beautifully, preventing the dish from becoming too heavy. A refined starter featuring thin slices layered with a smooth cream and delicate garnishes showed the more elegant side of the kitchen. The balance of textures, crisp elements, silky components, and fresh notes, demonstrated real attention to detail. Presentation across all dishes was artistic without feeling forced. The side of green vegetables topped with crisp onions added a welcome freshness to the meal. Lightly dressed and retaining a good bite, they provided contrast to the richer dishes and completed the table well. Service throughout the evening was polished and attentive without being intrusive. Staff were knowledgeable, guided the menu with confidence, and ensured that drinks and dishes arrived with good timing. Overall, Lucky Cat Bishopsgate is a destination restaurant that combines elevated dining with spectacular London views. Although the lift changes can make the journey up feel slightly confusing at first, once you step into the restaurant and look out over London Bridge, you realise it is entirely worth it. It is the kind of place suited for special occasions, impressive client dinners, or simply an indulgent night out in the City.
I had an amazing lunch at Lucky Cat today. The food was exceptional — every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. Highlights for me were the Wagyu Maki and Tuna Tataki, both perfectly prepared. A special mention goes to Ana Maria, who was absolutely fantastic throughout our visit. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel really welcome from start to finish. Her service elevated the whole experience — thank you, Ana Maria!
I had dinner at Lucky Cat and I had an amazing experience. The atmosphere is beautiful and vibrant, the service was attentive and professional, and the food was outstanding, full of flavour and perfectly presented. A special thank you to our waiter Guido, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommended !! I would definitely come back!
Outstanding mixologists. I walked in to have a drink at the bar - did not expect much. I was very pleasantly surprised by the team behind the bar - Danny was awesome - explained everything to me and showed me a few great techniques they use to make cocktails. They use like super sonic method to mix their drinks which is absolutely phenomenal. The cocktails I had were outstanding, the prices were okay and the vibes on a Wednesday evening were awesome (full place + a DJ) Would totally recommend to visit the bar and have a convo with the mixologists. Prices are not too bad at all and the views are INSANE
Had a great time at Lucky Cat. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. A big shoutout to Sana, she was so nice and friendly that we even took a photo with her! Fantastic service all around. Highly recommend
Lucky Cat Bishopsgate is an absolute must if you’re in London and craving an elevated dining experience that’s both playful and unforgettable. From the moment you walk in, the energy is electric, modern, stylish, and full of that signature Gordon Ramsay flair. You have to order the GFC Tempura, light, crisp perfection, and the Wagyu Gyoza, which practically melt in your mouth. The egg fried rice with its tableside presentation adds a fun, interactive touch; it’s not just delicious, it’s an experience. Finish strong with the yuzu and passionfruit truffle, a bright, silky finale that ties everything together beautifully. It’s also perfect for celebrations-the atmosphere, music, and presentation make every moment feel special and memorable. And here’s a little secret: as tempting as it is, don’t sneak off with the Lucky Cat chopstick holder. They’re actually accounted for, and you’ll likely get charged to your bill. if you try. It’s much better to ask for one-you’ll receive a higher-quality version beautifully packaged in an adorable keepsake box
I had an unforgettable dining experience at Gordon Ramsay’s Lucky Cat on the 60th floor, with breathtaking views over all of London. The food was absolutely exquisite – every dish perfectly balanced and full of flavor. The staff were wonderful: friendly, attentive, and always smiling, which made the atmosphere even more special. The setting is stunning, elegant yet cozy, and the wine selection was simply delightful – a true pleasure for the palate. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-class culinary experience in London!
This is a beautiful restaurant serving top class Asian cuisine. We had the afternoon tea which was incredible. The staff were so helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Cocktails were so good and a great range of unique tastes catered for. But of course the talking point is the view, so many times while visiting London I have tried to get free access tickets for the Sky Garden but never lucky. Book a meal here and you will find yourself much higher with a truly spectacular view. Not one for the faint hearted though!! Thoroughly recommended, I will be back.
An overall fantastic dining experience with a few standout highlights. I opted for the signature course menu, which showcased an impressive range of flavors. The maki and tartare were absolute showstoppers—possibly the best I’ve ever had—fresh, balanced, and full of depth. Not every dish hit the same high mark. The scallops lacked the sweetness and sear I’ve enjoyed at other spots, and while the steak was good, I’ve had more memorable cuts elsewhere. The sashimi was fresh but could have benefited from higher-grade produce to truly shine. The dessert was the one clear miss for me—rich and chocolate-heavy, which isn’t my personal preference and felt a bit too heavy to end the meal. That said, the setting, cocktails, and overall atmosphere elevated the experience. The view alone makes this a place worth visiting, and when the kitchen is on its game—as with the maki and tartare—it’s exceptional.
Cannot fault the food, service or amazing views. We tried the Signature Tasting Menu, which whilst costly enabled you try lots of different dishes, none of which disappointed. Our favourites were the sushi & rib eye with fried rice. And the dessert was also fab too.
The food was superb. We went with the £80 per person sharing menu. My personal favourites were the fish and chicken. There was plenty of food, we took some home. The service was rushed, and we had to tell the server not to remove dishes from the table on several occasions. The views are phenomenal!
Everything was absolutely amazing! Food, service, views! Guido our waiter was super helpful, polite & friendly. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough! Will definitely be coming back.
Even though we were expecting an overly crowded and mediocre place, Lucky Cat shocked us in the best way possible. From the stunning view that we came for, we left with big smiles on our faces. The staff were incredibly well trained and made us feel amazing. The food was good and tasty, we loved the GFC. As a short conclusion, Lucky Cat isn’t an overhyped, neither a place where is just Gordon Ramsay’s name thrown on a sign.
We dined at Lucky Cat, Bishopsgate, for a birthday celebration — and everything was absolutely perfect! The drinks, food, atmosphere, music, and the view were all brilliant. Such an amazing experience — we’ll definitely be coming back again!
Lucky Cat was a whole vibe. Shout out to Guido, he made sure we were taken care of! His service was top notch. The food was amazing. The cucumbers, wagyu gyoza, gfc and the fried rice was to die for. We lived for the aesthetic at this restaurant. Sleek and sexy, we took tons of photos.
Once in a Lifetime experience!!!! We even got a little tour to all locations. Thanx so much! ♥️ AND we are all pro Chefs, so we were really stunned…
Guido was amazing! Reception, coat check and the bar were nice. The winter selection cocktails at the bar were on point (note: not available at the table! Only at the bar). Silk & Spice was fresh and YUM! The Jingle Muse and Lucha Carré were nice, and the Murasaki Colada and Tommy's Margarita were delicious. The majority of our dishes were delicious but the bonito fried duck leg baos fell short. The duck was overcooked & the sauce overpowered everything and the consensus was a no. The chef's selection of sashimi, the baby squid, the wagyu gyoza, sweet and sour prawns, the egg fried rice, Chilean sea bass and the ribeye were DELICIOUS!! The Yuzu and Passion Fruit Soufflé was light & airy and the yuzu was refreshing, didn't get as much of the passion fruit but we would recommend. It was not too sweet. We had the Vermentino Timo and Primitivo Talo bottles which were also on point. All in all the vibes were vibing and the views can't compare. Our table had delicious views of Tower bridge, the Tower of London, the walkie talkie and the Shard's Xmas light show. The views alone were chef's kiss.
The view and restaurant are the wow factors here. Can see why there's a buzz about the place as it is stunning. Service was good and accommodating on the evening. Most of the dishes we had were decent, the stand out ones being the fried chicken and the chocolate dessert. Wasn't a fan of the sushi that was pretty average. The bill was big but justified with the experience we got.
Lucky Cat impresses with its spectacular view and sleek, upscale atmosphere. The spicy tuna tartare, black cod with miso, and duck bao buns were all flavorful and beautifully presented. The beef tataki was also a highlight. While the food is well-executed, portions are small and pricing feels high — even for the setting.
Lucky Cat Bishopsgate – Stunning Views & Incredible Food, But Service Let Us Down The food at Lucky Cat Bishopsgate was absolutely delightful, every dish was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. I had the scallops, which were tender and perfectly seared, followed by the sweet and sour prawns that were crispy on the outside and divine inside. The egg fried rice with a poached egg on top was a meal in itself, and even came with a bit of theatrical flair from one of the servers (not our waiter) such a fun touch that really wowed me. The setting is breathtaking, dining on the 60th floor with panoramic views of London at night was truly special. Prices were very reasonable for the quality, location, and experience. Unfortunately, I have to mention that our waiter was quite disappointing. He didn’t smile, didn’t check if we needed more drinks, and generally made no effort to engage. It was my daughter’s birthday, and despite us being in a high-end restaurant, she didn’t feel special at all. It’s a shame, as he missed so many opportunities to enhance our experience (and to upsell for the restaurant). That said, not all the staff were like that, some were lovely and attentive. Overall, the food, views, and atmosphere were amazing, and I’d still recommend visiting Lucky Cat Bishopsgate. I just hope the service matches the standard.
Stunning view within this restaurant of London. This is a fantastic place to visit with a group of pals, intimate dinner or as a solo diner. We were seated right by the window, so we had a lovely view. The service was fast, pleasant and the food was well presented. We really enjoyed the dishes that we ordered especially the duck. I have visited the other branch in Grosvenor and I did think the GFC hit the nail more in G than Bishops and I did struggle to order drinks on a few occasion's, but the employees here were very friendly etc. Overall a wonderful experience ☺️
Great food, great views, lovely restaurant, the service was excellent. We had the house wine, red and white which was also excellent. The only downside was the music-it was far too loud. My young daughters and niece(20’s) didn’t like the music and found it too loud so I’m not sure what kind of audience they are trying to attract. We asked for a quieter table which was a slight improvement.
The restaurant certainly delivers a striking first impression, with an exceptional wow factor and what I would consider some of the most impressive views of London. The setting alone creates a memorable atmosphere and sets high expectations for the overall dining experience. The service was of a very good standard. The team were attentive, courteous, and carried themselves with professionalism throughout the evening. Their willingness to assist added positively to the experience. However, the signature menu did not fully meet expectations. While it was presented well, the flavours and overall execution felt somewhat underwhelming, especially considering the restaurant’s reputation. With a few refinements, it has the potential to be much stronger, but in its current form it fell short of what one might anticipate from such an establishment. Overall, the visit had many highlights, particularly the ambience and service, though there remains room for improvement in the culinary offering.
High expectations and didn’t deliver… it was extremely loud, we were sat near the bar and it was dark (could barely read the menu). For the price we thought the food could have been better. No complaints on service, it was standard. The views are stunning at night though. Our reservation was on a Friday evening.
Stunning views, but the food didn’t match the scenery. We visited with a group of six and ordered the signature tasting menu. The atmosphere and views were absolutely incredible—definitely the highlight of the evening. As for the food, it was just okay. The tartare was the standout dish at our table, and we’d recommend the sea bass and tempura mushrooms. The ribeye was decent, but the sauce didn’t complement it well. There was also a 25-minute gap between courses, which disrupted the flow of the meal. Interestingly, the person we assumed was the chef visited the table behind us three times, which made us wonder if that table was receiving special attention. It’s hard not to speculate whether that impacted the consistency or quality of our own experience. Overall, while the ambiance was memorable, the food didn’t justify the high price. For similar views, you might be better off heading to the Shard and saving on dinner.
Feedback – Lucky Cat Bishopsgate I had mixed feelings during our recent dinner at Lucky Cat Bishopsgate. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere and ambience were very good. The view in particular was impressive and added to the overall experience. However, the customer service from the waiting staff was disappointing. The staff appeared tired and disengaged, and unfortunately did not seem happy or welcoming. This was surprising, especially for a restaurant under the Gordon Ramsay brand, where service is usually of a very high standard. I have dined at Lucky Cat Grosvenor Square previously and found the staff there to be attentive, professional, and warm. In comparison, the level of service at Bishopsgate fell well below expectations. I am a big admirer of Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants, which is why this experience was such a shame. With excellent food and a great setting, improved waiting staff engagement would make a significant difference. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback.
Where do I start. Quite a few of my colleagues have been here with mixed reviews. I went with an open mind as I was with clients. Firstly this is the best all round view of London in the city, I believe it is the highest restaurant in the square mile. Pre dinner drinks, service was a little slow, below average but happy ok as you have the view to compensate. Dinner, loved it, expensive but no more than you would expect for the venue, personally Ivy Asia St Paul’s just shades it but doesn’t have the fantastic views. The problems started when we had hit our 2 hour limit for the table, we were asked to settle the bill and move to the bar for dessert (where they had save us a table) . This is similar to Ivy Asia, so no moans there. However this is where it goes a bit wrong, the ivy seems to have a fixe well oiled routine whereas the Lucky Cat was clueless, this spoilt an otherwise great evening. On leaving the table and moving to the bar we gave our desert order, we then asked for a fairly basic desert wine. This confused the heck out of them and took 3 members of staff to source our drinks. However I wish I hadn’t of bothered as I chased our desserts 3 times to be told they were very busy, so I pointed out they had taken £900 of my money, then farmed me off to the bar and still no dessert. It then transpires that had never processed our dessert order, having drunk the £80 worth of dessert wine that We didn’t need to order, we left. So yes I may go back because the views are fantastic, but if Gordon had been given this level of service, I think he may have had something to say about it !!
Visited Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay recently — the food was good, but I was a bit disappointed overall. There wasn’t much in the way of vegetarian options, which made the menu feel quite limited. The atmosphere was stylish but also very dark, hard to even see what was on the plate at times! Service was attentive, but for the price and reputation, I expected a bit more variety and a brighter, more inviting setting. Way too overpriced, spent over £150 per person, we got pressured to get drinks as their part of lucky dip which they still charge for
The view was spectacular and was grateful my request for getting a table with a great view was granted, it made everything extra special for my partners birthday so definitely points to Lucky Cat for that. We arrived late to our booking and the details of the booking say if you are more than 15 minutes late you should let the staff know. However when you call the number provided, an AI bot answers and there is no way to speak to staff as the bot claims the guest experience team close at 8. Tried countless times for a way to contact the restaurant to no avail. Our booking was at 10pm so wondering how exactly guests are supposed to contact the restaurant if their reservation is after 8pm??? Checked the OpenTable table app and our booking had been cancelled. This irked me as when we were greeted downstairs we were also told we were late (yes we know that thanks for pointing out the obvious, we couldn’t even get a chance to speak to anyone about our booking only your annoying bot who was not helpful at all?). This is definitely a big flaw with the restaurant reservation system and Lucky Cat needs to sort this ASAP. Thankfully our table was still available. Some food was good (the gyoza, broccoli and passion fruit soufflé, didn’t enjoy the egg fried rice) but to be honest I don’t think it’s worth the value. The hand diced scallops we ordered was a single scallop cut into four pieces… I doubt anyone really goes for the food anyway but probably just for the views. Extremely tiny portions, more like a tasting menu even though we ordered from the à la carte menu. Staff members were attentive enough and my partner got a free birthday truffle which was nice. In all was an okay experience, I would only recommend for the view.
The venue was stunning, offering excellent views and a lovely ambiance. Service was attentive and well-managed. However, the food was a major letdown. Despite the generous £130 per person sharing menu, the dishes were basic and lacked flavour. Overall, while the restaurant impressed visually and delivered good service, the culinary experience was terrible.
We booked a table for Valentine’s Day as the view and menu looked incredible. When we got there, we were seated at the bar, despite having booked a standard seat at the restaurant. The bar does not have the regular food menu, only snacks. We mentioned this to the waitress but we said it was totally ok if they couldn’t do anything and would just get some drinks. When we were visited by another waitress, she spoke quite abruptly to my boyfriend about the booking details and we felt gaslighted that maybe we had made a mistake. It turns out that yes, we had booked the restaurant. Through this whole time the DJ was blasting music and it was a very loud, chaotic atmosphere. We were then taken to the counter of the restaurant and not to one of the restaurant tables. We had made a ‘standard’ booking and not a ‘counter’ booking but we just did not want to make a fuss at this point. We were also sat right in front of the sink, facing away from any of the beautiful views outside. We were given 2 menus for food. One snack menu and the tasting menu at £150 per person which we were considering. We were a little confused that these were the only options as we had seen the menu online. We saw others at the counter and restaurant holding the standard food menu. We asked for this and were given it, but then later told we could not order from it. We were only able to order the tasting menu, or from the snacks. Through this time, the staff were very inattentive. Because of the slow service and the fact we had been there for 40 minutes and still not ordered, we just thought let’s try some snacks and leave. We got 6 rolls and maki which was pleasant and crunchy and 4 pieces of sashimi. Probably one of the worst restaurant experiences we have had for a special occasion. Will not be going back or recommending.
Honestly, we felt completely scammed… My partner and I went in excited to try their Sunday brunch package, but it was such a letdown. First off, we waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to take our order. When the waitress finally showed up, the first thing she said was, “What do you want?” No greeting, no explanation of the brunch package..nothing. We asked if we could do the cocktail package with a glass of Prosecco, and she said, “No, it’s one way or the other.” Then we asked about cocktails with a bottle of wine, and she gave us attitude and negative vibes. Honestly, we felt pressured, so we just went with the Prosecco and brunch package. Then… 30 minutes passed and still no drinks. Instead, they dropped edamame and cucumber on the table…no explanation, and the server practically threw the bowl down. I looked around thinking maybe they were slammed, but there were only about 15 tables in the whole place. At 40 minutes in, still no drinks, so I asked for the manager. We canceled the bottomless package and asked for two Okinawa margaritas instead. (The package is 90 minutes, so you can imagine how annoyed we were by then.) We even said we’d pay for what we’d had so far. The manager came over, apologized, and offered £100 off plus margaritas on the house if we continued. We agreed, hoping things would get better… but nope. The pork dim sum tasted like old meat. We told them we didn’t want any meat bao, but that wasn’t taken care of. The rice dish was bland. And the same waitress kept snatching plates without asking. Her attitude was rude the entire time. Finally, when we asked for the bill, we waited another 20 minutes. And guess what? None of the discounts or service charge adjustments were applied except for the two margaritas. We wanted to leave earlier, but gave them a chance because the manager asked us to stay. Big mistake. Worst service, worst food, and honestly, we feel ripped off for what we paid.
