Here’s a concise, polished review This takeout bossam delivers the kind of comfort and balance that makes the dish a Korean staple. The pork belly looks tender and cleanly sliced, with just enough fat to keep each bite rich without feeling heavy. The spread of banchan — crisp kimchi, bright pickles, seasoned greens, and spicy squid — brings the variety and punch you expect from a proper Korean meal, even in a to‑go container. It’s the kind of takeout that feels thoughtfully prepared rather than thrown together, giving you all the flavors and textures of a sit‑down bossam experience right at home.

Very delicious food as always! I recommended getting their bossam as that’s what they’re best known for. Service was also good, the waiters helped us right away when we needed anything. Parking in the lot is valet only and the tables can fill up during peak dinner hours.

They are famous for the bossam (pork belly). I haven't been there for years, but last week the quality of the meats and sides have not degraded at all. My wife and I split a medium bossam and it was delicious (even to go) with all the panchans (sides). Best eaten on-site but still very good to go. Quality service and very attentive servers.

This was a nice experience for me. From where I'm from, we rarely have any good Korean restaurants. The interior was beautiful and I was seated pretty quickly. My waiter asked me immediately if I had any questions, which was nice! This place screamed authentic, and with a good bit of history, opening in the 80's. They did have valet parking. I was happy to see the prices were pretty fair. I decided to get Dolsot Bibimbap & Bindae Tteok (mung bean pancakes), the banchan that came with it was excellent and very fresh. The kimchi was very nice as well! The egg wasn't overcooked when the bibimbap came out. The veggies were fresh, and may have been the best bibimbap that I've ever had. The mung bean pancakes came out, and they were pretty huge! They were pretty good - and it was my first time having them, so I don't really have much to compare them to, cooked very well and golden brown. The purple rice was pretty nice, also my first time having purple rice! Overall, it was a really nice experience for me.

Amazing amazing food, great service and fab decor. Came here reading the reviews and the place is totally living up to the reputation which I want to say is well deserved. The waiter is knowledgeable and polite, the pricing very fair and the bibimbap we tried was delicious. Highly recommend a visit!

I had the potato pancake and the Endaeug Jjorim. The black cod was a bit sweet for my taste, but overall it was good. If you enjoy fish dishes, it’s worth trying at least once.

My brother and I enjoyed the specialty bossam and soy bean soup. The ban Chan was as fresh and delicious as the bossam accompaniments.

The premier pork belly "bo-ssam" spot. Some things just never change! Staff is great, food is superb, and portions are very big. An X-large will feed 4 people! A must try and a Korean staple!

I recently visited Kobawoo House, a Korean restaurant in Koreatown, with some friends, and we had a fantastic time! We ordered a spread of dishes to share: bossam, kimchi jjigae, gamjajeon, and haemul pajeon. The bossam was tender and perfectly paired with the fresh wraps and sauces, while the kimchi jjigae had a rich, spicy kick that hit all the right spots. The gamjajeon (potato pancake) was crispy and comforting, and the haemul pajeon (seafood pancake) was loaded with fresh seafood and had that perfect chewy-crisp texture. Everything was flavorful, authentic, and great for sharing. The vibe was cozy, the service was friendly, and we left stuffed and happy. Definitely recommend Kobawoo House for a solid Korean meal in K-town!

We’ve been here at least three times over the past year, and the food is always consistently good. Our go-to dishes are the bossam (medium or large) and the jangban guksoo, which never disappoint. The side dishes are also delicious and pair perfectly with the mains. On top of that, the service has always been attentive and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better.

I ordered the Bossam set with Kimchi Jjigae, and it was excellent. I’m definitely willing to visit again. The service was good, and the food tasted better than expected. The only downside is the limited parking space.

I want to say that I have found another authentic and delicious Korean restaurant. Everyone of us had a great time eating here. and parking was convenient with options next to the plaza. The food quality is very good! The service is great! I also appreciated the staff's honesty; I had forgotten my jacket, and when I returned two days later, they had kept it safe for me. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.

Love the banchan here. We ordered medium bossam plate and the portion is enough to feed three people. Even though the meat is not as fall apart tender as Han****, the flavor here at Kobawaoo is wayyyyy better. We also ordered the the Jangban Guksoo, the acorn noodle was perfectly cooked, so aromatic, so good overall.

It was my first experience in a Korean restaurant. It is hard to remember the name of soups but the red soup was really hot and tasty. The sides were matched with the soups. The brown rice on the side was really a good choice. The other soup containing tufo and vegetable was also delicious and full of new tastes for me. The dessert was not good at all. Overall, a good experience

Not gonna lie, this felt a little expensive but the flavors were great and service was good. Not major wait. It was casual and have a fun atmosphere.

Saw good reviews on their seafood pancake so I came to try that out and ordered some bossam as well. The bossam was delicious, very good quality pork belly with delicious sides. I ordered ssammjrng and garlic to give it some more punch. The seafood pancake was good, well balanced with its’ ingredients. I just wish it was thinner and crispier, but maybe next time if I can request it to be cooked well-done and crispy, that’d be perfect! Will be back to try more!

We had the bossam and it was one of the best bossam I have ever tried. It was so good and as you can see the plate was cleared. It was juicy, and the seasoning and pairing of the side dishes were right. It wasn’t as expensive as we thought it was going to be. The portion size was worth it for the price I would say. The service was good and everything we need regarding extra side dishes or water was given to us. I would be coming back for the bossam and the side dishes were endless as well.

This spot delivers an experience that rivals some of the restaurants I visited in Seoul. A highlight was the house-made Korean rice wine (makkoli), served in a large traditional ceramic jar with a giant spoon—a fun and authentic touch. The makkoli itself was smooth and mellow on the palate. We started with the “thick” seafood pancake, which was generously stuffed with seafood and packed with flavor—definitely a great opener. The restaurant is known for its bossam (sliced pork belly), and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered a medium portion, and the pork belly paired beautifully with the pickled daikon, fermented shrimp, and cabbage. Each bite was well-balanced and flavorful. We also tried the bibimbap, and it was excellent. The stone bowl was heated just right, creating a perfect layer of crispy rice at the bottom. The house-made sauce, a mix of savory bean paste and gochujang, elevated the dish with its rich, spicy-sweet profile. The only downside was the kalbi—it was a bit dry and underwhelming compared to everything else. Ambiance was authentic and server was friendly and helpful.

The food was good! I didn’t find their seasoning too spicy nor too salty like at most Korean restaurants. The price was reasonable, too. We got their bossam (steamed pork) with soybean paste stew. While the pork wasn’t oily and was tasty, it lacked something. But, I honestly couldn’t put my finger on it. I would love to return and try their other items on the menu next time. Highly recommend!

I have liked this restaurant for a long time. But thesesday the quality of the food is getting bad. I ordered Bosam XL size and picked up it. And when I opened the food, I am so disappointed that the meet is so dried and other sides very small quantity. I usually ordered small size Bosam before. I have ordered XL size first time. Side dishes quantity for Bosam, radish, pickles and shrimp sauce, lettuce and radish is almost same as S size one.
