Great looking place. Well maintained. Crew helpful. Had tried their barbacoa and carne guisada. Both amazing. Menu prices are not updated on google maps so next time i pass through i try to send pictures of menu for all others.

Their drive thur staff are super fast and friendly. I was excited to see that their prices had dropped from the last time I had ordered. But still was amazing tamales! 🫔

I’m so excited that they have opened a Pedros on Milwaukee and 82nd. The food is delicious the staff is amazing! The atmosphere is positive it’s clean I will go there all the time I highly recommend it to everyone in Lubbock!

We have been in Lubbock for a little more than a year. And during this time I've passed by Pedro's many times and wondered if it was any good. We lived in S. A for 13 years and every place I tried were greasy. So I was a little nervous about getting any. Until today. I wish I had tried Pedro's when we got here because they are amazing! No grease just wonderfully flavored. Don't get me started on the salsa, I think I'm hooked. So YUMMY! My daughter who has always said she didn't like tamales loved them. We will be back for sure and will be getting more than 2 dozen. I can't leave this review without mentioning the staff here at Pedro's. The young lady at the window informed me she was making a fresh patch of pork and I ask her if I came back in about 2 hours if they would be done. She said yes ma'am in about an hour. And when we came back even though they were busy. She remembered me and ask how many I needed. The staff were all smiles and that something you don't see anymore. Thank you for such a great experience and I will see you soon.

I ordered through the drive thru, service was exceptional, the food was good, although not at all what I ordered. I really wanted what I ordered but by the time I got home to eat I didn't want to drive back so I ate what I got....it was good, but will check my burrito next time!

Hey , Pedros? Are these supposed to be raw? I thawed these in the fridge and when I steamed this half of the package I find that the masa is still raw! I thought this was ready to heat and eat. This is not good. Update Pedros response great. Helped me fix the issues.

I like Pedro's. Homemade is always better but also a pain. Went today and tried different. I would normally get pork. Today I got beef which was to greasy. Beef tasted a little off. Jalapeno popper with bacon it was different for sure not awful but more on just cream cheese no jalpeno bacon flavor to it. Glad I tried those but most likely won't order that again. I also got the hatch chili chicken those were pretty tasty not overly greasy. I enjoyed. One thing with Pedro's is they do tend to go hard with the lard most times. When I make them at home I use a good amount of Lard you have to but my end result are not overly greasy at all. But these aren't home tamales . These are made on a much larger scale I'm sure it's very challenging keeping it consistent. With that said they still make a decent tamale that I didn't have to spend two days making. 10 a dozen is a fair price even though they are a little small. It would be a 5 star if we could get a consistent not overly greasy tamales. But this will never keep me from being a return customer especially when I don't feel like making them. I'm already planning my Christmas stash. Thanks Pedro's oh and the girls are always friendly 👌

We got to Pedro’s around 5:15pm and they were out of a lot of the tamales. We got 1/2 dozen each of beef (it was suppose to be spicy but we ended up getting mild) and pork tamales, they were Fantastic!! I did read on another review that they were small and would agree that they are, but still excellent. While it was unfortunate they didn’t have some of the tamales I wanted to order, I can understand why they run out- they have so much good flavor, sooooo yummy!! I also ordered a carne guisada burrito. I thought there would be other ingredients in the burrito but they literally just put the meat in. I ask the gal put some cheese in for me and she was happy to do so. Once again, Sooooo Good!! I didn’t give 5 stars only because the tamales are small and it would’ve been better if there were other ingredients you could add to the burritos. Whenever we go back to Lubbock I’m sure we will visit Pedro’s. Thank you to the ladies at the restaurant

No question the best tasting tamales in the world. Shrinkflation must have hit HARD. The size was quite a bit smaller and the price went up since my last purchase.

Stopped to get tamales and ask for hot sauce and was told they had some but she'd have to put i it in a container. We weren't going home where we could have our own hot sauce. We are traveling and wanted some hot sauce. This is at 10am. You're just getting started for the day. You should be ready. I usually like going here.

My order contained no ice packs and my tamales weren't very cold. I worked in a place where we shipped perishables, and before I sent orders, I checked the area they were going too and the weather so we knew how to properly insulate them. These tamales are small. And when I say small, I mean SMALL. I have never eaten such small Tamales. Nor have a personally seen such small tamales. My fault for assuming they would be a decent size for the price. This was my first and last order, unfortunately :/

If you want tamales go to Leal's. If you want anything else, go to ANY Mexican restaurant, other than here. I wanted to try this place for over a year, but i ended up throwing it in the trash and going somewhere else.

I’ve been ordering from Pedro’s for the past few years and their Tamales are always delicious. I’ve been trying to place an online order for the last few weeks but their website doesn’t allow me to. Regardless of the number of dozens I select I keep getting a “Select 4 more items” prompt. I just called the company and tried to explain that the site isn’t working. The women said, it doesn’t matter, we can’t ship in time anyway because of COVID. Told her I wasn’t concerned about shipping; the fact of the matter is that the site isn’t working and they are losing business. She didn’t seem to care. I guess I’ll try Texas Lone Star and hope I get better customer service because after many years, Pedro’s has lost my business.

Placed an order for New Year's Eve.Got a confirmation email and money was taken out of my account the second my order was placed.Showed up to pick up my food at the time indicated on the email.And it was CLOSED!!!! Now I'm out my money and no tamales.Placed my order on a Saturday it's now Friday and still no refund of my $75 and everyone is clueless to how to do a proper refund .

Had some Pedro's Tamales over the holidays, and they were okay, however having grown up in Lubbock, I know what a true Pedro's Tamale should taste like, and I have to say these were far from it. what a shame the new owners couldn't see the value in continuing the family tradition

To be honest I don't know what the hype is about... Has no flavor at all! Got 1/2 dz of red pork and 1/2 of pork green, I was told that they were spicy. not at all spicy or good. The tamales are so small and hardly any meat in them.. totally disappointed...

So I haven't been over to Pedro's for over a year due to extremely bad customer service. So I decided yesterday to try again. 😡 I drove up to the window, sat there 10 minutes, as 4 people walk by the window, but Never came to the window. Finally a lady slammed open the window and took my order. Then she came back, told me, my order was $10.00. I handed her my $20, she told me they had NO change. Nothing, ... so after a 15 min ordeal, I left with NO Tamales for my son for lunch. I will NEVER GO back to Pedro's.

I I've been a fan of Pedro's tamales. The girl at the drive-up window really sweet. But just recently I found a facial hair in my tamales. I spoke to the manager Fernando and he gave me the wrong email address so I can send a video and picture. They insisted it was a corn husk. I have not heard a response.

Would be nice to have the price for each item on the menu...cause you know...inflation and all🤷🏽‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Breakfast burrito was terrible the eggs were fluffy and sponge looking. The size of the tamales were disappointing and didn’t taste good the chicken had a shrimp taste or fish flavor hard to explain but didn’t taste anything like chicken tamales. My stomach was hurting after eating some of the burrito and a tamale.

$23.79 for 2 bacon potatoe cheese jalapeño burritos..... outrageous. Pricing online was $7 a piece.

The employee at the window (social skills) were lacking. I picked up the tamales and took them to work. They were dry. I haven't had that before but today the flavor was off. Sour taste and dry. Tasted old or overcooked. If you overcook tamales they will dry out. Do better Pedro's!! You can't keep reheating tamales and serve them.

My dad asked me to drive out here, these are not worth 10 bucks..The best ones are at the Taqueria markets as far as I know

These were once very good tamales. I recently purchased a dozen chicken tamales. They were the worst ever! Nothing but 4" of chewy dough and very little chicken. My last visit to Pedro's.

Extremely disappointed. We wanted Tamales for Thanksgiving and so we ordered and paid for 2 day shipping. Ordered was placed on Thursday. We did this knowing that they don't deliver over the weekend, so we expected the order to be shipped on Monday. Well, we didn't receive the order until the next following Friday. Meaning, even though we paid for 2 day shipping, we received 5 day shipping. On top of that, this is perishable foods that sat somewhere that long. Customer service has been non-existent . Absolutely terrible and will never order from here again nor ever recommend to anybody else.

They had no taste of any spices or flavor at all. They tasted like dry brown paper grocery sack. We have 5 1/2 dz left that we will either return or throw out. ☹️☹️☹️
