They have really done a lot of work upgrading this place. It went from a hole in the wall with good food to a bona fide Mexican restaurant. Great menu, great drinks.

Love this place, it reminds me of the restaurants from Guadalajara. Nice big portions of enchiladas ranchera with rice and beans hit the spot. If you love margaritas and top shelf in particular, go here!!

Had the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. Was very good. Chips and salsa that came with it we're great also. Definitely surprised on the plus side.

Ordered fajitas for two to go and the food was great. Just what I needed to have away from home. The tortillas were perhaps the best I've had.

If you are looking for authentic Mexican food and where the local/indigenous people eat, this is the place. Chips with 3 types of freshly made salsa. So, good. I had the veggie burrito, and my spousal unit had the beef chimichanga! The best refried beans either of us had sampled. Everything was very flavourful. The staff was friendly as were the other patrons. Will return for sure.

the restaurant itself is good, food is decent and I have never had a problem with their service. Saturday nights is karaoke night and is fun with the exception of the dumb drunks that cannot handle their alcohol, however the restaurant has been good about removing the obnoxious and banning the fighters.

Used to come here in HS. Great food then and still is an excellent choice anytime. Drinks were strong, beer was cold. Service was friendly and timely but not stalkish. Cute waitresses too.

As a native Napan and someone who enjoys authentic Mexican food, I can't believe I had never been here before. My nephew, who's a regular, suggested it for dinner and I'm sure glad he did. Had the Carnitas plate and totally enjoyed it! Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommended!

You won't regret choosing this Napa gem. Seriously! Family and solo friendly. Exceptional food, made by people you can tell love what they cook. The manger and wait staff take excellent care of you. They learn who you are and what you like, taking the time to make your visit enjoyable. If you have a family, your kids will ask to go back here. If you want to go by yourself, you will have an environment you feel comfortable in and will be well taken care of.

Here on vacation and chose here for a nice night out. We were very pleasantly pleased. The food was great and we could not eat it all. The service was fantastic. They were very attentive and pleasant.

We got settled in late Monday night and were delighted to find out this was just a block away from where we were staying. The staff was so kind to let us come in within 45 minutes of closing as they could have closed early. The food and service was excellent. The generous portions allowed us to make a nice breakfast a couple of days later.

Pretty damn good food.. some what pricey but worth it..

I used to eat here a lot, but they acquired new owners and the service was so poor that I stopped going there and haven't been in years. Then last night a friend suggested we go there as we have both been hearing the name of this restaurant come up frequently recently. The food was good, but was just average like you'd find at any Mexican restaurant. They do have a nice looking bar though and a patio to dine on when the weather permits and the bright, colorful decor was welcoming. I am happy to say that the service that we received was great, everyone was friendly, smiling, and acted like they were happy to be there! So I don't know what's changed, but I am happy to have another family restaurant to go to.

The food was really good and reasonably priced. This kinda of a neighborhood gem. Decor is dated but gives it more of a traditional feel. Staff is super nice which makes it the kind of place I like to come back to. We all had the shrimp burritos and the proportions were very generous. No one went hungry.

Attentive servers, fresh and hot food that exceeded our expectations. We had margaritas and fajitas. THEN, in walks a Mariachi Band! It was awesome! We will make this one our regular places for lunch or dinner. One of this locals favorites!

There's been a ton of renovations over the years but they keep a comfy homey feel. Everything was perfect. Our waitress was there for every need or want, even before we knew we needed. The room was beautifully decorated. Being my first time here was enhanced by the table and chairs. They each and every one of a kind and hand made in Mexico. I can't even begin to effectively praise the artistic design or craftsmanship of the woodwork.

The server was there taking our drink order as soon as we sat down. She was so pleasant! Dad got the chimichanga, and I got the taco salad with Chile Verde. The chips were hot and fresh. Three different salsas - mild, guac salsa, and spicy. Our food came within 10 min. Both meals could have fed 2 people each. We each had leftovers to take home. The total tab was $38 and change. I gave a hefty tip. It's always a nice treat to come here, but today was even better with all of the beautiful new paintings, custom artworked chairs, and paint. As usual, I will always go back!

I ordered a Sizzling Chicken Fajita and it was absolutely wonderful. The service was also excellent. However, the Marguerita was not up to any standard. Might as well have ordered water with a lemon slice. I still enjoyed the food.

If you are into seafood, it's strongly suggested you grab a menu even if you are sitting at the full bar to check out some authentic flavors that will have you dancing in your chair! My family has been going to this restaurant for years. Tonight we celebrated my parents 30th anniversary and they were able to accommodate our large party of more than 25 people without a problem. The food is always perfect and constant.

Love your refried beans! Chips were hot and salsa was very flavorful. Fajitas were well seasoned but not sizzling hot which made them a little greasy. All in all, very good and we would return when we're back in town.

Stumbled upon this place while lost in Napa. Looked deceiving at first but once we got inside it was comfortable, the waitress took our order promptly and the food came quick. The food brought back memories of Mexico, the chips were awesome and so were the dips! The rice was authentic and so was the beef and chicken. Its unfortunate we don't live closer but we'll dine out again if we are in the area. Down side was the TV was off. Its nice to watch some TV while eating but not necessary, not a bit deal in my book.

We've been here several times and we love it. However this last time the waiter was not very attentive. He took my order and then asked me again for my order and then he did the same thing with my drink. It was like he literally forgot he took my order. It was really strange. He only did that to me and I was there with two other people one of which speaks fluent Spanish so that wasn't the issue. Anyway still tipped and we will still come back but this waiter never even came back to our table after he took our order. No drink refills or asking if our meal was good. We had to ask for the check and boxes from someone else.

It looks like a lot of money was spent on the decor of the restaurant and now they're being cheap with the customers. Food took too long. My rice was cold on my camarones al mojo de ajo plate, I asked for some hot rice, but waiter wanted to take my plate to prove that rice was really cold...really?! And because I asked for a bean substitute, he wouldn't bring me tortillas. If you’re this cheap with your customers and this is what you tell your employees, it's not worth it! And you're not a true Tapatio!

Music was great service was good. I had a ground beef tostada with rice, beans and salad the beef was toooo chunky and it had salsa on top but tasted like tomato sauce from the can. My friend had shrimp cocktail but was warm she didn't like it

Very disappointed. The margarita I had was undrinkable...was clearly not made correctly and tasted completely different than the others at the table. I ordered the Camarones de la cucaracha and while the menu did indicate it was spicy...this dish was so ridiculously hot that I was unable to eat it. I love spicy food and typically order Thai medium to medium hot spicy, this dish was out of control spicy. I had only 1 1/2 shrimp from the large portion of shrimp provided and my lips and tongue were numb and tingling. You could see that the entire plate was swimming in red chili oil. Service was just meh. The staff almost acted a though we were bothering them when we asked for something...for example to wipe the mess off the table they sat us at. We arrived 45 minutes prior to closing which might have had something to do with the attitudes...but then they should have told us when we asked about closing time that there would not be time for us to eat prior to closing and we would have gone elsewhere. The 2 others who were with me did enjoy their food. One had 2 chicken tacos and the other had a shredded beef burrito and they said their food was fine. I would not recommend this place or go again. Plenty of other amazing restaurants in Napa with great food and great service.

It was horrible , horrible service , all three girls working Tuesday night were so rude and we had to ask for Everything from like forks and napkins . 2 plates of meat came out raw , super pink. If I could give zero stars I would. Wouldn’t recommend coming here . Sad to say because it was my go to spot.

Been dining here for 30+ years was favorite restaurant since childhood last 3-4 years service has been terrible, either we don't get our drinks for 20 minutes or they bring them for half our table then the rest 20 min later. Servers barely come back around and if you ask for something it takes forever if they even bring it. We were one of 3 tables rest was empty our food took over 40 min then they brought partial plates. We were 6 one of my kids didn't get any part of her meal as others got sides of rice and beans tacos took FOREVER and one out of 4 didn't get their taco until after we were all done eating and ready to go. Have been back 4 times in past 2 years and it's been the same everytime.

I come here every week and spend about $100 on food. Since 2021 so you do the math. I was asked move tables, because it was only two people. I think I’ve spent enough money here to sit wherever i want. I was asked to leave because I didn’t have a reservation, and they had “reservations.” Sorry since when? lol never coming back and rather spend my money where they’ll treat you right. I forgot my phone at the table when I left nobody apologized, said sorry, nothing! Only person with good attitude & service is the guy with the beard!

Went to the Bar at tha Guadalajar restaurant, The Bartenders at the front Gaby and Erika are too busy Flirting with everyone and take forever to get ur drinks! I also ordered some shrimp Tacos and got sick! I looked up their inspections records and they hardly ever pass!!!! I think I'm done eating at this place.
