I don't know why everyone is so hard on these new owners? The wonton soup was the best we've had in town, the wonton soup at Empress near us was SO disappointing, bland and flavorless. The chow mein was good and not overcooked or overly salty. The Szechuan shrimp were not as spicy as I prefer but we're crunchy without the shrimp being overcooked and rubbery. Friendly, curtious service. Seriously why would you go to another subpar Chinese restaurant in Napa?

Great place here in Napa for great Chinese food!! This has been our top go - to for 5yrs now. They now have dim sum and it feels like their other food got better since their renovation. Top favorites are the chicken wings, crab cheese puffs, salt & pepper spareribs, and mongolian beef. They are CLOSED on MONDAYS. Can do dine in & take out.

The food was very good, the veggies were fresh and not over cooked. The prawn dish was cooked perfect also. I should say that the portions are a bit small, there were 3 in our group and we got an appetizer, an order of soup and 3 other dishes. We still had enough left over for 2 plates. I will go with quality of the food over qaunity any time.

Dropped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The wonton soup hit the spot after long day in napa. The soup broth was really rich in flavor. We also had chicken fried rice, sweet & sour chicken, beef chowfun, string beans& beef, & honey walnut shrimp. Everything really tasted liked home cooked dishes and we cleared everything!

Bbq pork chow mein was steamy hot when it came out noodles where cooked perfect had great ratios of ingredients. Overall great experience, everyone works really hard there and it feels like you are eating in a real families kitchen.

Took my family for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We had dim sum & also ate off the regular menu. I was surprised how good the dim sum was. It was very good. I've eaten dim sum in large cities & this I think was just as tasty. It would be nice if they had some music playing in the restaurant.

Jade Garden Chinese Restaurant is a tricky place to locate. It is a couple blocks off of Trancas Street. It's in an old, very small shopping complex. Signage, in front of the restaurant, is not the best. It was my first time picking up food there & I drove by it three times, gave up & got out of my car (I knew I was close), & found it once on foot. The restaurant is old & basic. Thus, the atmosphere was only average. Most importantly, on my first visit, I ordered shrimp chow mein, chicken fried rice, & Mongolian beef. The shrimp chow mein & fried rice was average. The Mongolian beef was good. Half the Mongolian beef was VERY TENDER & well seasoned. However, the other half of the order was rather tough & harder to chew. Compared to other Chinese, sit-down restaurants, I found Jade Garden's prices 15% less than its main competition located approx 6 blocks away on Trancas Street. I liked Jade Garden because I didn't have to WORK hard to find the shrimp in the chow mein, the chicken in the fried rice. nor the beef in the Mongolian beef. Jade Garden doesn't TRY to make their orders appear larger than it really is by STUFFING it with an abundance of garnish & vegetables. It's "honest" about the size of their servings, which I appreciate. Despite rating it 3⭐️, I will go back & give the Mongolian beef another try.

I love the food. The lunch special is great, and the price is great for lunch. Dinner is another story. We paid $50 for two plates of orange chicken (2 servings) and one plate of walnut shrimp (serves 1 person)- we had NO rice, chow mein or any sides what so ever. We all had water to drink. The price was absolutely ridiculous. We have eaten here for years- since before it was Jade Garden. And we loved it because the food was quality and the price was right. The food is still good, just smaller portions and higher prices.

I had gave this restaurant the benefit of the doubt, it started when I went the first time and the dumplings I ordered were frozen in the center. I sent them back and the wait staff was very curt and while I wouldn’t say rude entirely, I could tell they were trying to rush me out the door at 8:20, when they closed at 9. I went back two more times over the course of a week, and the same problem- frozen in the center dumplings and this time the waitstaff were extremely rude to me. I see potential for this restaurant because Napa has no Dim Sum, but I want to be scathingly honest so these folks have time to improve their attitudes and food. No one deserves to bite into frozen dumplings the 3 times they go to the restaurant. As it stands, that’s my 3 strikes and I myself will not be returning.

Our regular place was closed so we went out on a whim and tried somewhere new. Unfortunately this was not for us. The sesame chicken was almost all breading with very little chicken and the chow mein was very salty! Sorry! We will not be choosing this again.

We ordered take out. The food was disgusting. Weird bumps on the pork and very tough chicken. Steer clear!!

When the other owners had been here, the Chinese food was great. We followed them from their original location in the Bel Aire Plaza to its location now on California behind the Habit. We had been going there to eat for so many years, it was kinda like family. Knew them before I had my 2 kids. If my boys weren't with us they always asked about them, and they are 19 and 23 years old now. Miss them!!

I called in an order for Chinese Food today. I ordered the large containers like I usually do. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. When I got there, the gentleman who took my order asked me what size containers I ordered. I said the regular cardboard boxes that the food usually comes in. He said oh, I got confused. I asked if the food was done, he said yes and they need to put it in the containers. He charged me for the regular large container sizes but put it In the small styrofoam containers. When I noticed what they had done, I called and complained. He said I am sorry, I got confused, they put it in the wrong containers. There was no offer of any refund or to redo my order, they just said I am sorry, I messed up. I will be doing my business at Waah Sing where they never disappoint. I chose to go here because it was closer to home. I have ordered before, so I know what I was buying, but instead they totally ripped me off. Never again will I do business there. Such a disappointment. I bought almost $100.00 in Chinese food and received what I would have spent maybe $40.00 on.

Jade Garden used to be the best Chinese food in town but now it sucks. I got orange chicken, lemon chicken, and rice. The orange chicken and lemon chicken were extremely soggy and didn’t taste like anything and they forgot all of our rice. We paid 100 dollars for a terrible experience. Wont happen again.

I was a regular. Spent over $700 per year on food here. I normally ate inside, but the last time I ever went there I ordered take-out. When I looked at my order, I explained that I had ordered fried rice and not white rice. The main woman who had seen me dine there on many ocassions went to the back and returned all smiles and said she gave me fried rice, "OK?". When I got home, I saw that she had simply put a thin layer of fried rice above the white rice. I was a kind customer and tipped at least 15% everytime. For the lack of respect shown, I will never return.

I always go to this restaurant, 2 to 3 times a week, I don't usually make a comment about the taste of the food, but I'm not going back to this restaurant anymore after I found hair on my Chow Mein... that's disgusting.. I will never go to this restaurant anymore, I suggest that all staff should wear a hairnet and more better to wear a mask or at least just to cover your mouth because saliva spread out when you talk.

I honestly can't believe I just paid $23 for this. I ordered kung pow beef and egg rolls. I got basicly nothing but large chunks of vegetables and very little beef and a few peanuts. It is ultra bland and has no spice. The egg rolls have no meat and have no flavor either. I would have been better off getting one of those microwave Panda Express meals

Meat shavings in my food but I ordered a seafood dish ( i’m pescatarian). I will be continuing to go to my regular restaurant Dragon Valley.
