I had an incredible lunch here! The food was absolutely delicious and packed with flavor—truly some of the best Spanish cuisine I’ve found in the city. Despite the Manhattan rush, the service was professional and attentive, and the atmosphere was so pleasant and welcoming. It’s the perfect place to escape the busy streets for a fantastic meal. Highly recommended!
Loved this place. We had croquettes, charcuterie and paella. Everything was delicious. Also had a really nice Spanish Cabernet which was a real delight. This place is really cute, we’ll definitely be back. My only complaint is it was loud in the restaurant, but the food made up for that.
This place is phenomenal! Not only is the food delicious, but the staff is stellar! The location is very cozy and buzzing with conversation. If you’re looking for great food and a great vibe this is definitely your place!
This is my second time at Boqueria - Flatiron with each visit being six months apart. Both visits were exceptional. Both times we sampled different tapas - all but the tomato bread was amazing. Now the tomato bread is not terrible, it just didn't make me do the "yum this is delicious, happy dance" - iykyk. Our favorite tapas were the mini hamburgers, the meatballs, and ofcourse the potatoes. They have a delicious Sangria and a Lastau Rose Vermut - its sweet, but not too sweet. The atmosphere is small and intimate, with helpful and friendly staff. Our server Daniel was super helpful and very attentive. This made our experience that much more enjoyable. Sorry there aren't pics of the yummy food. I didnt think to take pics until our plates were empty.
Boqueria in New York delivered an incredible dining experience from the moment we walked in. We were greeted by the host, Ashton, who was so sweet, warm, and genuinely welcoming — a great first impression. Our servers, Wendy and Diego, were equally amazing: very accommodating, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the entire meal without ever feeling rushed. We started with red and white sangria, which were both absolutely delicious. The chopped fruit throughout made them refreshing, well-balanced, and perfect for sharing. The food was phenomenal across the board: • Mushroom croquettes – really good, crispy on the outside with a rich, creamy sauce that made them incredibly satisfying. • Ham croquettes – equally delicious, sitting in a slightly sweet sauce that complemented them perfectly. • Brussels sprouts – roasted really well with great flavor and texture. • Pork dish – crisp on the outside, tender inside, and topped with crispy onions that added the perfect crunch. • Lamb skewer – served on a bed of toast with a flavorful onion and herb sauce, plus a light vinaigrette that gave it a nice twang. • Roasted chicken – tender and juicy, finished with chimichurri and a hint of lemon zest that brightened the dish beautifully. • Garlic butter shrimp – very good, and the sauce at the bottom was perfect for dipping bread. • Octopus with mashed potatoes – pan-seared, tender, topped with crusted olives, and absolutely delicious. One of my favorites. • Salad – light, refreshing, and very enjoyable with a balsamic vinaigrette. • Potatoes – well seasoned with garlic aioli and crispy onions; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Between the outstanding service, vibrant atmosphere, great drinks, and consistently excellent food, Boqueria absolutely lived up to the hype. This is a must-visit spot whether you’re out with friends, on a date, or just looking for an energetic tapas experience in NYC. I would happily return.
I got the Classics under the Chef Menu and it did not disappoint. The dishes were delicious and it was a great opportunity to try new things. I loved every dish but the patatas bravas are the chef’s kiss. In addition, the staff are friendly and customer service went above and beyond. I would absolutely love to return.
I came here with my parents for lunch on Christmas Eve. We were SO well taken care of! The staff was super attentive, the food was great, and the ambiance was so warm and homey. Maria (the GM) is so kind and you can tell she takes care of her staff like family, and that feeling of being genuinely taken care of is passed down to the guest. It was such a beautiful dining experience for us❤️
Great food and drink. I had their pan de tomate and it was really flavorful, a bit too salty but good enough where I would come back and enjoy it again. The pepper ads a nice tang. I also had their shishto cocktail which was nice. Everything is priced amazingly we for what you get in my opinion
Place was packed and the food is amazing. Left stuffed but I do think there were some items that are kinda meh. Crispy potato - absolutely must get. Meatballs - 15/10 soft tender and juicy with a nice sauce. Chorizo beef toast - nice bite but messy and a handful. Garlic olive oil shrimp - lacked seasoning and it was just a pool of olive oil. Croqueted - small crispy bite. All I tasted was the deep fried batter and the cheese inside. Kinda mid tbh Octopus - charred but no seasoning. It was also a small tentacle for $20+ scam, and not worth. Overall still enjoyed the meal and would recommend.
Ordered an assortment of their scrumptious dishes. A charcuterie board with nice cheeses and hams, Croquetas de setas, tortilla espanola, and a mariscos paella. There were also a few more dishes not photographed such as the brussel sprouts and a carne dish. The Charcuterie board consisted of aged manchego, jamon serrano, and one other pork I can’t recall. With the bread, each of these items carried a deep, distinct flavor profile. The corquetas de setas were mushroom croquettes that were a delicate and light appetizer. The tortilla espanola also felt very light for such a dense appearing dish consisting of eggs and potatoes, it’s a magnificent quiche-like masterpiece. The mariscos paella was a very delicious blend of seafood flavor absorbed into the loose rice. The paella was certainly a delicious must order item here. Location is on a quiet street and there is a steady flow of groups here to eat. The interior ambiance is sophisticated with elements of European inspiration from the hanging meats, the choice of colors and the cozy lighting. Service was attentive, fast, and very engaging when we needed them. Overall, great upper experience for a group.
Boqueria never disappoints. It’s the kind of place is consistent in food and service. Tonight was no exception. We were served by the wonderful Wendy who recognized us from a previous visit and made us feel welcome. Usually we opt for an assortment of our favorite tapas, however since it was our anniversary and we were feeling adventurous we went for the Chef’s Menu. The food was delicious and it was a nice departure from our usual menu. Highly recommend the Patatas Bravas, the Gambas al Ajillo, Brussels sprouts and the seafood paella. Sangria is always good but the cocktails can be better. Highly recommend visiting.
Excellent lunch menus with reasonable prices for its location. We had Caesar salad, which was super delicious! Both Mushroom and Serrano Croquettes were terrific, as always. I think they serve the best Croquette in town. We ordered Bikini grilled cheese for the first and had to order another one because they were so good and crispy but not greasy. Both paellas were quite lovely, but my standard for paella is typically high, so this might not be the most delicious paella in NYC! I keep coming back to this place and always recommend it to friends who visit the city.
Was fortunate to book a table for 5 adults and 3 young kids last minute for special reunion of friends. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed at how well we were taken care of and accommodated given the circumstances. The atmosphere was lively. The food and service were top notch. We decided to go with the Chef's Menu - The Classics, which put less pressure on everyone to choose a dish. We were blown away at how each bite that arrived was just as delicious as the next. I highly recommend giving Boqueria Flatiron a try if you are in the mood for a tapas experience with a group of friends. Thank you!

Boqueria is definitely one of the more authentic Spanish cuisine places in NYV. Their plates are very savory and menu mostly lends itself to sharing tapas and different selections of sangria. I highly recommend ordering their carne à la parilla, it’s so delicious you’ll not want to share your tapas. And the paella isn’t their best thing on the menu but it does have good flavor, just not my favorite because their tapas quality and flavor outshine the paella. Other than that the service was exceptional especially with addressing an issue with food temperature. Our paella was brought out a bit on the colder side and they addressed the situation with urgency, kindness and compassion.
2nd Boqueria I visited in the city. I used to go to SOHO when I craving tapas. The parades still a little bit over cooked but I still love it & the Octopus a little bit missed tenderness. Other than that Shishito peppers always my favorite. I never can figure how they can be green and cooked at the same time.
We had a company end of the year dinner here. The food, service, lively atmosphere was great and festive. The only complaint was that I was sitting at the middle long table and people kept brushing and bumping against me all night as they were going by. The fixed course of tapas were all great and I enjoyed the experience here
The food was delicious although everything took way longer than anticipated and portions of tapas were quite small. It does mean it was fresh but just don’t come here when in a rush because the paella took 45 mins and the churros 15/20 from the time we ordered. The service was very attentive, however the place was really loud, and towards the end of our service the restaurant wasn’t packed anymore but still loud.
The food was pretty good, for me it was a hit or miss. The environment was pretty loud, but it’s probably because of the small space. Would definitely recommend Croquetas De Setas, Gambas Al Ajilli, and Forget-Me-Not (Drink). The Dátiles Con Beicon is pretty good, if you like blue cheese. Personally I don’t like the after taste. Overall, pretty good and definitely worth a try and make reservations, it gets busy!
Came here for tapas after work for happy hour. Service was good, food was delicious, we were in and out quickly. Also not too expensive! Personally I am not a fan of Spanish food or tapas in general — a lot of it is very salty or meaty or heavy. And a lot of the classic items are available at Boqueria (tortilla, patatas bravas), so you can count on it being authentic (at the very least). If you do like tapas, definitely check this place out for your next work event or casual brunch.
