Very fun place to watch a Bills game! Good game day specials, especially if you’re with a big group. $40/person min at a table. Highly recommend reservations if you want to sit to watch the game. Very crowded on game days.
This is a go-to place for me for work lunches. Great variety on the menu and everything is good. Highly recommend the shishito peppers and tuna sashimi salad. Solid wine selection and the martinis are excellent if looking for a happy hour spot. Service can be a bit slow during lunch, which I chalk up to them not having as much staff as they used to during the day. But Penn6 will continue to be a staple.
Came here for a birthday brunch. The food was great along with the drink. The location is perfect, the staff were very nice, and place was clean, beautifully decorated, and they had awesome music. It’s 38 dollars for unlimited drinks for 2 hours and an entree which I think is great. Our waitress Emily was an absolute pleasure. She was always around and very helpful. We were a big crowd and not once was she annoyed with how loud we were or how we constantly called her over. Will definitely be coming again.
There brunch is amazing!! I did it twice and it was even better the second time. Emily is the best server, period!! So accommodating and sweet, and the food/drinks was fantastic for the price!! The brunch pizza is better than expected and you don't feel gross or fat after eating it, highly recommend. I love this place, and will make this place a regular for me!
Absolutely fantastic experience here, came in here for lunch and had a wonderful time. Excellent food and even better customer service
Excuse the silly photo but it was the only one I took. My husband and I came here over a year ago so my review has a bit of a delay. The environment was great! Food & drinks were awesome as well. We had a chance to meet the owner (whose name I forget). He was very kind and personable and gave us a card for a free drink next time we are in town. We are in town again but just for the night and it made me think of this spot and the wonderful service we had. The owner really made out experience great. Thanks!!!
Great ambiance. I had the buffalo cauliflower for an appetizer and the lobster roll. Delicious! Even though the bar and the dining area were separate, it was not loud. I will return to this establishment.
I went to Penn 6 for the Bills game (since they are the new Buffalo Bills center for NYC) and had a great time! I would recommend reservations even thought the policy is strict because the bar does get super crowded at game time. The food was really very good and the game menu was reasonably priced. If you are not a big drinker or don't care for wings, I would recommend the a la carte menu. They had a DJ to play during the commercials, but the game came through loud and clear. Lastly our server (Melanie M) was the best. She took amazing care of us the whole game, even through the madness. I am definitely going back!
We had a brunch reservation for a group of 9 @ noon the Saturday before mother's day and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food, service and atmosphere were great and so conveniently located close to Penn station. We all said we'd go back again!
Great drinks!! Friendly bar staff, Stefan was very tentative and always checked in to make sure we were doing well. Truffle pizza is really good, just make sure you add some caramelized onions or shallots as it needs some sweetness to it! Overall good spot and quick visit for us but would go again for sure!! Want to explore the rest of the menu!
I planned my birthday party here and it was PHENOMENAL!! Personalized menus, decorations and 38$ Bottomless brunch! Our server Emily was so kind and accommodating. I couldn’t be happier this is a great place!! The food was also incredible I couldn’t have imagined a better spot to celebrate! AND THEY BROUGHT OUT BIRTHDAY SPARKLERS!!!
Such a good brunch! For 32 dollars you get unlimited mimosas/bloody Mary's/bellinis for two hours AND a entree from their brunch menu. I think this is a great deal for New York City. They also have a raw bar with different menu options. Strongly recommend it. It was delicious and it prolonged the food which made it so easy to definitely get our moneys worth with the drinks! Delicious! Would definitely recommend it and would absolutely go again!
We had the brunch pizza, french toast w/ a side of sausage, and egg sandwich. The French toast, sausage, and egg sandwich were awesome. We didn't hate the pizza, but it wasn't our thing. The waiter was very attentive. Only thing was it was empty at close to 1 pm, which was strange and a bit awkward. The place was clean and pleasant, including the bathroom. We were going to try a nearby popular diner place, but after reading that it was mediocre and rushed, we opted for this place. We'll be back.
Go Bills!! Karrah was our bartender and was absolutely amazing! Was there for Bills win over KC and will absolutely visit there again!!
Our waitress Carolyn can only be described as… the coolest cousin who you see every few years but always makes you feel so safe and appreciated and also smokes you out in the backyard. She encouraged us to have the best time without making us feel pressured, a rare but wonderful skill. She is mother, she is sister, she is just part of a great great establishment. Can’t wait to come back here just for my girl and slam potatoes and mimosas with Carolyn.
Excellent food! Great for a great meal before going to MSG. Literally the best French Dip of my life. Fairly priced, warm service, fabulous drinks. Will definitely return.
The food at Pennsylvania6 was absolutely fantastic! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The variety on the menu catered to all tastes, and the presentation was impeccable. The service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable meal!
Fantastic brunch! The avocado toast with sunny side up eggs was perfectly cooked and extremely flavorful, as was the accompanying side salad. The service was friendly and attentive, and they were able to store our luggage in their coat room. Add in great background music (but not too loud) plus a variety of (muted) sports on the big screens, and it was a wonderful brunch. Highly recommended!
A huge thank you to the owner and team for handling my disability and ensuring I’d have a place to sit when there were no more seats. Food is also delicious. I would recommend the Knickerbocker for sure! The bartender (I wish I got his name) noted that there were extra charges on our receipt before he even gave it to us and got it resolved asap. You guys are awesome!
The service from the host and from the waiter was amazing today!! Davina gave us an excellent service during our visit. My coffee and my french toast was really delicious as well as the burger. They do have the option to eat outside and they have some headers to keep you warm while you enjoy your food 👌🏽🙏🏻❄️😁
I went there with a bunch of friends to watch the Buffalo Bill’s vs Cardinals football game. This is the Bills backers bar in Manhattan. The atmosphere was total Buffalo which made the game super enjoyable. The server was very friendly and attentive. The wings were good and they had Buffalo beers and other Buffalo food. It’s a definite stop if you are on this super town and eager to watch the Bills on game day.
Penn 6 has a good atmosphere in a great location! They have an amazing brunch deal. So, if you enjoy bottomless brunch, then this is the place to go. It is definitely a more sporty, chill vibe than a party vibe. So if that is what you want for brunch, this is not the place to go. But, if you want to catch up with friends and chill at a lowkey place with delightful food and drinks, then this is the spot. La croqué madame est magnifique !
Nice place for brunch, just steps away from Penn Station. Convenient place to meet for some food and drinks before venturing around NYC. Note that this place is a college football bar (Rutgers, USC) so it gets very loud on game days. Still a fun atmosphere. Croque Madame was a filling and delicious dish, with the sandwich smothered with cheese and topped with a sunny side-up egg. The salad on the side provided a nice, fresh contrast.
Attended an event and the drinks were delicious, service was wonderful & food was top notch. Definitely recommend
I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. We came here to watch the USC football game. The food was great, we ordered a couple of appetizers off their special game night menu. The service was incredible. The hostess was very accommodating and our server Emily was nothing less than spectacular. Our party of 4 grew to a party of 10 by the end of the night. We had so much fun.
Really cute spot and that’s next to a more crowded brunch spot but honestly the food here was better, it was less crowded, and I didn’t have to wait on line outside for a seat. The brunch pizza without potatoes was super delish along with the chicken breakfast sandwich and the cornbread. I’ll definitely be back.
I love a good chicken waffle and this place has it. My friend and I got the bottomless mimosas for 2 hours. We got our monies worth and then some. Our server read out minds every time she came around and she was super professional and amazing. I walked in and just attentive and attention to detail of the serving staff and cooking staff. Great place to go for brunch with your boys, girlfriends or besties. I really enjoyed my meal that I wish didn't end. Nice juicy fried chicken and tasty waffles with cream. Another wonderful NYC gem. I would totally go here again.
The restaurant nextdoor seemed more appealing because of the reviews, but there was a line and it was extremely noisy. So, I popped into Freidman's that was much more tranquil wihere I was greeted by a friendly hostess who sat me in the coziest corner with an outlet to charge my phone. The waitress brought me a Belini sample because I asked her what it was even though I didn't ask for a sample. How thoughtful! The eggs in purgatory were divine! Perfect portion, each bite was an experience and highest quality ingredients. I'm definitely coming back here with family and friends. Compliments to the chef and staff!
One of the few bars open in Midtown Manhattan on Christmas Day. Nice staff and terrific beer list.
Open during the snowstorm! The service was warm, the food was delicious. We were happy to see quite a few vegetarian and vegan options!
Went to this place on a whim with a few co-workers and we absolutely loved it! The bartender (I believe her name was Annie) was one of the sweetest, friendliest people I’ve ever met and the food was great. Not pictured here, but we got a flight of five different dips with our fries, and we loved each option more than the last. Would absolutely recommend and will go back next time I’m in town.
Pennsylvania 6 has been a long time great go to spot in the Penn Station area for a sophisticated drink or a great meal. The Penn Station surrounding area has longed lacked higher end establishments but this place is one of them within the area. I couldn't recommend Penn 6 highly enough, have spent many meals here with clients and co-workers over the years!
Went for the Bills game - go Bills! They have a nice setup, good beers, I wish their game day menu had a couple more options but overall a positive experience. I would go again for a game or to try their menu outside of game day.
Located just steps from our hotel, we were searching for a spot to catch the Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul fight when we stumbled upon this charming restaurant. Though we only stopped in for drinks, the atmosphere was inviting and stylish. Prices were a bit on the higher side, but that’s fairly standard for NYC. A lovely, unexpected find nonetheless.
Kara is literally the best bartender! She is attentive and fun and makes you feel at home. She understands her crowd (Go Bills!) i only go to the far side of the bar for Kara. Not as stoked with the other bartenders but Kara is the best. Wish her well and a promotion and a raise!
One of my favorites and an absolute gem of a spot ! Located just outside of MSG it is a perfect spot for a quick bite or drink while still being a classy spot that is quiet enough for an intimate date. Lobster rolls are delicious and less than $40 which is a steal for NYC prices. Great selection of draft beers too. Lastly, Nadia was a delight to have as our server and was overwhelmingly kind and accommodating.
Super Bills backers!! ❤️💙Great experience. I sat at the bar and Emily waited on me. I had literally the very best small side salad Caesar salad ever. So rich and flavorful. I’m picky about salad haha And Pancetta pizza. Great food. Great service. Fun vibe.
First time for me being away for a Bills game. Looked for a Bills Backer Bar and it was perfect. Felt like I was watching playoff football in a WNY bar back at home ! Awesome vibe, great service from attentive bartenders, wings were great. I’ll definitely return on my next trip to try out their full menu as it looks excellent. They do get a small line before the game so if you have t. Made reservations be prepared to stand and wait.
Perfect solo brunch spot Had a fantastic solo brunch at Pennsylvania 6. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the bottomless Bloody Marys — the mix is house-made, rich, and perfectly spiced. Service was smooth, and drinks kept flowing at just the right pace. Started with oysters, which were fresh and served with a freshly ground relish — a standout. Also tried the wings — not bad, but I’d skip them next time. The rest of the menu felt more refined. The vibe is upscale but relaxed, and ideal for solo diners. Big thanks to Mackenna, who was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel genuinely welcoming. Definitely coming back.
Huge bar restaurant near penn station. This is the place to watch Buffalo bills games. They have giant tv screens and a huge food and drinks menu. So many beers on tap and they have non alcoholic options. The best part is the menu is not your typical sports bar. This almost is a higher end steakhouse level menu. They have a great raw bar as well. I recommend to start with their burger. It was fantastic !
BUFFALO BILLS FANS our group went last year for the December game vs Miami… service was pretty lousy, prices are pretty high but we had a hell of a great time!!! The atmosphere was top tier! We almost felt like we were back home in Buffalo. Be sure to make reservations well in advance and they usually have all included deals per table. We did an unlimited beer and wing deal. Had to be on the waitress or we weren’t going to get anything but again the atmosphere made up for it all. GO BILLS!!
I’m giving it a five star because of the waitress Mel, she was wonderful and very informative! I went with my girlfriends on our weekend getaway! The French Toast was good and the eggs with cheese was good! The service was impeccable and I do recommend this restaurant! This was expensive!
First time here, great experience. Food was delicious. Tried fries, chips, penne burger, and chicken sandwich, portions were generous and tasty. Host and waitresses were above and beyond. Restaurant decor was nice. Tables and restrooms were clean. Traveling with luggage, I was able to enjoy my meal since there were the option of holding my luggage. I recommend this place.
I came here for the first time today and I have to say bravo to this restaurant. I was not only warmly greeted by the hostess, but she made sure that she checked my vaccination card and ID before I was seated. My waitress Brianna was friendly and attentive and the restaurant itself was very clean. I ordered the Cajun Salmon which was absolutely delicious. My Mai Tai gave me life. I will so definitely be back again!
Made dinner reservations for 5pm before a concert at MSG. When we arrived there was a sign on the door that read the restaurant would be closed for a private event at 7pm. Was kinda annoyed about that considering nobody informed me when I made the reservation or at least let me know the day of. My friend & I had planned to stay after dinner to drink at the bar & now had to figure out plans last minute. Our waiter wasn’t the friendliest either, BUT other than that service was great. Food & drinks were excellent. Love the vibe & it’s a short walk to MSG. I would definitely go back.
Met friends here for brunch and had a great time. Good foood, even better service. They keep the bottomless drinks bottomless. Kinda of pricey especially for some of the portion sizes on the food, but quality was there. Very noisey. I like a lively atomsphere but we felt like we were shouting across the table. I'd still go back though so it wasn't that much of a deterant :)
Nice atmosphere, helpful friendly staff, not many vegan options. They altered a salad for me to make it vegan and checked ingredients to be sure. I had the vegetable hotpot which was very fresh but not enough flavor. All in all a nice spot and I enjoyed lunch. Good place for a business lunch or social spot for drinks. Good spot for gatherings/ happy hours
We went for brunch and our waitress was on top on the unlimited mimosas! Great service. Food was really, really good. The waffles with the chicken and waffles were a little eh, but the chicken was delish. Burger was cooked to perfection medium rare. And you can't go wrong with breakfast pizza!
I’ve come here a few times for drinks and snacks. I usually sit outside, but given different temperatures and Weathers I’ve also started to sit inside now during Covid. They’ve done a good job of keeping tables separate. I also usually request quieter tables and they are able to comply. They have a lot of seating, a large amount of space at the bar and lots of smaller tables in two very large rooms. The wait staff usually knows what specials they have for the day and are very friendly and helpful. I usually think of this as an upscale bar with good service. I’ve tried the tacos as well as the I’ll have another cocktail and the Manhattan 36. I also really like the Tuna sashimi on avocado which is really good and I would recommend getting that every time. I don’t really recommend a lot of the vegetarian dishes except perhaps for the elote. The cauliflower is deep fried and over sweet but I did like the shishito peppers. I'll be back for sure, it's one of the better spots near Penn Station.
Very loud and slow service. The place is juge and was only about 1 third full and was very loud. We ordered and waited quite a while. That being said the food was good and we were able to enjoy our meal. Avoid this place if you do not like loud noise. Also quite expensive but probably worth it.
Second time here. I really like the dark wood and nice bar area. We came in from the rain and the waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. We both had salads and I would recommend the tuna. Soft music would be welcome instead of a constant stream of sports dribble but the experience was pleasant.
Gorgeous, yet pricey midtown Manhattan bar and restaurant. Can't lie though, food was delicious & drinks were on point. Our crew of 9 ordered: A tower of oysters (everyone said they were great) The burger (good) The lobster roll (great but not as filling as it should be) The short rib pappardelle (amazing. Mutiple people had bites of my pasta and I still left full and smiling) The sliders (solid) The lamb chops (devoured in seconds. Could've used an extra chop tho) Our original bartender was great. Shout out to Cara. When she left, this nervous looking guy (didn't get his name) took over serving us for the most part (altho all bartenders will get you drinks). He was cool tho and seemed less anxious once we started talking about the Yankees. Shout out to him for not making a fuss about taking the creme brulee off the bill (my Yelp check in got me a free dessert). I don't go to many midtown spots near MSG with prices like this, but I gotta give props when the food is good and the drinks are tight. I might be back for a Knicks pregame session
Solid American Fare with a Nice Night Vibe I’ve been to Pennsylvania 6 twice now, and both times the food has been really good—classic American dishes done right. The drinks are solid too, though I personally found the mimosa a bit too strong for my taste. The atmosphere is great, especially in the evening. I went around 8:00 PM and it wasn’t crowded, which made it feel relaxed and comfortable. It’s a nice spot if you’re looking for good food, good drinks (minus the mimosa for me!), and a laid-back nighttime vibe.
Pennsylvania 6 W. 31st. St. New York, NY 10001 Penn6 Burger The burger was cooked medium well. Lettuce, tomato, and onions are included. As a bonus, I was allowed to caramelize the onions at no additional cost. The French fries were crispy on the outside and potatoey on the inside. Server Matilda was very efficient. She was always refilling my water glass. When there was an error in the bill, she apologized and gladly made the correction. #pennsylvania6 #penn6burger #penndistrict
The service here is great as long as it’s not too busy. We went for the social bottomless brunch. We were able to get multiple drinks in the time limit. The peach Bellini is extremely fizzy. All drinks contain a decent amount of alcohol. As it got more crowded, drinks came slower. The reason for four stars is the food. The food is pretty good but not amazing. We got the brunch pizza, which was slightly burned on the bottom, and their breakfast of two eggs, meat, and potatoes. Overall, the price and service warrants returning to this bottomless brunch, just don’t expect gourmet food.
If you go for a Buffalo Bills game, this is the place to go. Just beware you will wait in line for a very, very, very long time and be prepared to pay $80 but you get food! We waiting for an hr in wet snow! And came an hr before kick off! If you really wanna go to the bar, you have to be here at least two hours early. It’s a commitment.
Food & atmosphere were amazing. service though… Entrance door was stuck, couldnt tell if it was shut. No hostess at the stand for 10 minutes. Waitress was gone for long periods of time. she had one other table. drinks took a while to receive, both rounds.
I went for brunch with 7 women. Pros: the food was delicious and the portion sizes were perfect. Very reasonable prices, as well as great atmosphere and decor, although it was freezing in the restaurant! Cons: other than the table runners and bus boys, the service was severely lacking. We waited a long time for food and an even longer time for drinks. Considering we were paying for a bottomless brunch, we were very disappointed that we had to get up from our table multiple times and hunt down a waitress or the hostess to ask for our food and drinks. I ordered my 2nd drink when I finished the first and I didn't get it until I had finished my meal! We waited at least 20 minutes for 1 appetizer, and later, 1 dessert to be brought to the table. When you are spending hundreds of dollars, you expect more attentive service. If they are trying to limit the drinks consumed at their bottomless brunch, perhaps they shouldn't offer that option.
Came here today three 3/10/22 with my coworkers for lunch I had the Penn six burger was very good my friend had the buffalo chicken mac & cheese was just excellent and my other friend had the Knickerbocker burgers with the sliders everything was good the service was good the waitress was excellent music was good the place is a little loud
Very nice place with great atmosphere. I went with 5 friends for brunch. After waiting half an hour for our food (including the $23 steak and eggs I ordered), I had to get up and asking the bartender where our food was. Very disappointing especially given that the restaurant was not terribly busy. The food was good, not great, definitely not worth the hefty price. Overall, I'll chalk my experience up to just a bad day for the wait staff, but I can't imagine I'll be going back if I visit NYC again.
Simply inedible food, unfortunately. Doesn’t help microwave bacon is 10$. Don’t come unless you’ve got no alternative near penn
We chose Pennsylvania 6 for brunch because of their bottomless deal on Saturdays. However, when we arrived we were informed there is no bottomless brunch during “college game days”. In other words, no bottomless brunch on Saturday for essentially 5 months. Nowhere was that advertised online. Drink prices were a rip off. $15 for a seltzer? Food arrived all at different times with one member of our table waiting 20 minutes after the rest of us received our food. The food wasn’t anything to write home about. Overall not a good experience
I recently visited this restaurant and was extremely disappointed with the experience. The service was slow and inattentive, and it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. When it finally did, it was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. The portions were also very small for the price we paid. To make matters worse, the atmosphere was very unpleasant. The music was too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation, and the lighting was harsh and uninviting. The overall vibe of the place was chaotic and unorganized. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The poor service, low-quality food, and unpleasant atmosphere make it a complete waste of time and money
Went to the watch the Bills game on Sept. 11th and didn't have a great experience. Decided to post here because my experience was never acknowledged in the survey. I reserved a table for me and my father within no more than 20mins of reservations being taken. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated against the wall directly underneath the huge projector screen. The only way we could see the game is if we kept our heads turned up to the right corner behind us, which obviously hurt our necks... or if we stared at one of the tiny flatscreens around the bar. There were literally a handful of people seated, so I asked if we could move and was told that the seats are "assigned" and can't be changed. However, the booth behind us remained empty well into the 4th quarter and the table to our right (with a much better view of the projector screen) remained empty until nearly the end of the 2nd quarter. The reservation form they ask you to fill out says that tables are held for 15 minutes. I was a hostess for many years, so t's not lost on me that we were a party of 2, and those were 4 tops, but if they're empty for a reserved event.... you should probably accommodate the guests you already have. Especially when the booth tables are just 2 two-tops pushed together 🧐 Additionally, the ONE vegan entree they had on the menu wasn't even available. Salad and beer don't really go so well together. And, just because you're vegan doesn't mean you want to eat lettuce all day. No one is asking you to turn into a vegan restaurant. ONE vegan entree would suffice. As a Buffalo native, it's always fun to have a Labatt Blue and watch the Bills game with other fans. But, for what we paid in the end, we would've been better off and more comfortable simply watching the game at home.
Hazy Little Thing is $9 on the menu but $11.50 on the check 🤷🏼♂️ (pretax) Service is amazing.
Went twice and doors were locked. No one answered the phone, and all lights were on. Can’t review the food, but the way they conduct business is low caliber.
