There aren't many options around but this pizzeria was a blessing! We made our own with pesto, onion, artichokes, jalapenos. They served it hot and fresh. Baked to perfection.

We had take out on our way up to a camping spot. We came in late on a Friday, and got some pizza by the slice. So good! The price only seems high, because you get a quarter of a pizza! Each by the slice order is about the size of 1+ costco slice, and Mama's makes them special! This was our second time here and we will continue to visit Mama's every time we go camping in the area. Thanks Mama's Pizzeria!
As we were on our way through on a drive to go snowboarding , we quickly realized after coming up the 49 that our options for dining would be limited. After entering North San Juan we were thinking that the gas station would have to do . .. However Mamas pizza saved the day! I was so hungry that I decided to order food first , then get gas while waiting. The atmosphere has a very nice vibe with some amazing local art. I’m not sure what the staff was listening to but it was exactly the vibe I needed. Inside are a few tables which had local families ( I assume) dining . It was the dinner rush and all three were whirling around the place. One thing which I appreciated from them Evan in the midst of making salads , building pizzas, and managing the phone was the warm welcome. So we return an after a short wait and I find the calzone and pizza ready and very delicious ! What a gem out here in the hills ! Definitely stop as you’re on your way thru !
The best pizza in N. San Juan. Very Convenient to the locals. Also a unique group of people hanging out in and around the area. Small town atmosphere. Flavor is good.
Loved this little spot we stumbled on passing through town. What a vibe!! Beautiful people friendly folks and good pizza! Unique flavors and creatively done. Slow down when you're driving by, there are alot of doggies around and pedestrian crossing. Thanks for the delicious pizza and kind energy!
Huge difference in customer experience this time. The quality of the food was excellent they had a fully stocked cooler of beverages the service was quick and friendly. Its starting to be a regular stopping point for my travels down 49. My kids enjoyed the pizza as well.
Local pizza! I love pizza, and really appreciate your pizza.
Great pizza and didn't have to wait for a long time. My stomach kept fighting with me as I got up at 3am and it wanted to eat the rest of the pizza! My brain won out as it was a super tasty breakfast!
Best pizza around hands down. huge slices and amazing crust.Positive vibes from everyone working there, just got a slice from Ashley, Mani, and Isaac. The owner is a local gal who studied with Tony gemiani who wrote the Bible. Amazing pies, give thanks!
I consider myself a bit of a food snob so when I saw that Mama's Pizzeria in North San Juan had only 4.3 stars on Google I was dubious about trying it. However, I can share that it was absolutely superb! I highly recommend it 🙂
Great pizza, great staff, small inside but we got pizza to go.
EDIT: I now live in NC and it’s been 2 years and I think about this pizza Absolutely amazing pizza in a really small town. After a day spent in the sun on the Yuba River, it changed my world. 3 months later and I still think about it.
A Diamond in the rough. Was hungry on the way home last night from fishing the Yuba and noticed this place was open so I popped in and ordered a couple slices. Girls were friendly and the pizza was delish. There’s not much in this town and this was a pleasant find.

A North San Juan treat! Love their most every item on the menu but particularly love their Greek Salad, the crust on the pizza and calzones! Every pizza option at Mama's Pizzeria is yummy. Now they have even added extra yummy options with merging with Papas Taqueria ! Now offering street tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more! Very reasonably priced, air conditio place with a table or 2 inside and a table outside. Very rustic artsy feel. With a neat little thrift store down the sidewalk with feel good music playing. Limited parking in front of pizzeria but nice parking lot across the street. Great attentive polite service by girl named Pema and another employee. We ordered take out and got burrito , street tacos , Greek Salad and slice of cheese pizza. We really loved the Burrito. Very very tasty. Liked it more than the tacos. I really liked the sturdy recyclable and biodegradable take out containers . Leak proof and stayed closed. Will most definitely be back !
Great friendly staff, fair prices for the location. And the pizza is good enough, I would stop by again. I can't stress how much the staff rocks.

It's a small operation, so expect 35-45 minutes wait for them to make a pizza from scratch. The building is sketchy with vagrants and cigar/weed smokers lounging around, so it's not family friendly, but at the same time I credit the owner of this restaurant for trying.

First off let me state I have really enjoyed your pizzas for a long while but when I'm paying $70 for 2 pies the mistakes that happened tonight are just unacceptable. First off one of my pies was wrong, it had toppings on it that were not correct and in turn was not well received by the final recipient. Not only was the pie incorrect but one slice was mangled in a way I have never experienced with a pizza. Maybe it was mangled because both pies were overcooked, overly crunchy and chewy. The crust was so burnt on some slices it was not only inedible to me but to my dog as well. Never again will I call in for take out thanks to experiences like this

This was the worst pizza ever, we spent. 45 dollars for one large pepperoni and 2 slices of Hawaiian. The pizza dough was still raw. Disgusting, frozen pizza are much better then this place
I was reading some of the reviews for this place so I ordered a pizza and it was horrible!! The people that wrote the excellent reviews must eat out of dumpsters because it truly was the worst pizze I have ever eaten in my life!! It was cold when I picked it up, it had so much grease on it I had to use 2 or 3 viva paper towels to sop up it up, it had a strange taste to it and the dough isn't freshly made they must buy it frozen. I've had better pizza at 7-11, seriously had I known what I was going to get for dinner at this mess I would have driven to Grass Valley and gone to McDonalds
They open when they feel like it. Menu doesn’t even have price for cheese pizza. One size only. Nothing special. Don’t answer phone and you could be waiting for up to 1.5-2 hrs for a pizza. They treat this pizza joint like a hobby not a business
