The fried zucchini was really hot so I had to let it cool down but it was good and my large dog Diet Coke was excellent as always

The $3.00 and under minu is what makes this establishment so good, and the higher quality of ingredients is the Carl's signature. I would recommend, but getting in their drive thru can get freaky.

The local Grass Valley store is a well served location featuring ample interior seating, an inviting outdoor patio, proximity to the main highway, and excellent burgers. It could be considered above average in the chain.

I tried the new Bacon Guacamole 1/3 pound burger. It was really really good. Very good customer service, very good food and I'm grateful for all the hard work!

The cashier was beer very friendly and helpful with my order. I took a few minutes to decide and he was completely patient and cheerful. I don't remember his name, but it was Thursday morning in the drive-thru. He was awesome!

I eat too much fast food That being said, This Carl's Jr is one of the best. I've been ordering a triple super star w/ extra cheese, Each time I get one here, The burger is hot and juicy, The cheese is plentiful & melty, & There's plenty of ketchup. Reminds me of old Carl's Jr ads....

Drive thru. They nicely gave me a Sr discount . I could understand the young man at both the speaker and at the window. Pleasant young man, respectful, asked and gave me the right sauce.

The food is cooked fresh. The employees are polite and kind to my dogs in the car at the drive thru. They make my shake just the way I ask and my special order burger is always good.

My friend and I met here because they have a carb- free burger that she likes. They wrap it in lettuce. Awesome! She enjoyed it and we sat and talked for quite a while. No one asked us to leave even though we were there long after we had eaten. We made sure to be in a quiet corner so we wouldn't bother anyone or be in anyone's way. They even thanked us for wiping the table when we were finished.

Who doesn't like a Big Carl, a Super Star, or a Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I'm kind of a fast food fanatic, as I work at taco bell, but I've always loved a good burger from Carl's Jr.

I don't eat fast food very often, once or twice a month at most, but when I do Carl's Jr. Is my choice. The staff is friendly and fast, everything is clean and neat and eating there is an enjoyable treat.

The promotional $2.99 double cheeseburgers are an advertising fraud - the patties are about 1 inch smaller in diameter than the bun they are on. I was warned that they were smaller than their normal burgers (which are pretty good sized), but I felt ripped off when I bit into the burger and got all bun and no patty. I returned it to the manager, who very promptly gave me a free upgrade be to their normal sized burger. Kudos for the great customer service, but shame on the chain for false advertising.

If you enjoy fried zucchini and burgers with bacon and bbq sauce Carl's Jr beats out the competition. The fries aren't that good though. Fast food chain restaurant with open bathroom, open soda dispenser and a drive threw. Easy parking, disabled parking. God Bless

I have been here many times. This last visit was not the best, some of the food tasted like it had been sitting under heat lamps or was all that fresh. Service was fine, will return here because normally this place is good.

Looking nice after recent renovations. I miss some of the windows but Inguess they just looked at the drive through. People are nice and the food is generally pretty good. Hard to beat the $5 meals, especially 19.

Usual Carl's Jr. Food just way over priced! You can almost buy a whole cow for what you pay for a family of 4 to eat dinner there. The food isn't made of gold but it's priced like it is.

It's a Carl's Junior they don't mess up your order very often I'll give him that I eat there pretty regularly I always order something that's not on the menu exactly so therefore they have to make it fresh I prefer the spicy chicken add swiss cheese and bacon but as far as Carl's juniors go it's the one in Grass Valley it's the only drive-thru in that area I can think of the side from the Starbucks

A callusly modernised version of Carl's Place. Two small Windows to look out of. The View used to be better, until they boarded up 55% of the views. Food is not as well prepared as other loctoons.

Whelp. . . Beyond burger has arrived. . .meh. . it was "ok". . But obviously not THAT ok, if I haven't gone back yet. . Went for Beyond burger, but the onions were OVERWHELMING and the multiple orders of fried food we had served up, were already soggy and approaching the trashcan by the time we parked and ate. Why, in a world of carnivores, is it so hard to find one decent option for a vegetarian?. . ?. . Don't give up Carl!! we need something edible!!

I would say, normally, their food is good. I went there 2 nights ago and spent $30 on two small combo meals. Ok that's what I expected, sadly prices are skyrocketing everywhere, I'm aware of cost. It was after 8pm, but before 9pm. The burger was lacking in all ingredients except the pattie. Basically a bun with some sauce, a few small sad pieces of roast beef and none of the vegetables. That was not the part that upset me the most. It was the cold and limp french fries. Took me 3 minutes to get home from Carl's and the fries were already cold and limp?!! $30! It had been a long day of unpacking, and we were tired, just wanted some dinner, and it was lackluster. So, my advice, eat there during the day the food is as it should be. Don't go after 8 for sure.

It seems they have a lot of employee turnover because everyone appears to be training and has to always ask questions. That is not why I gave it 3 stars. I appreciate that people ask instead of trying to figure it out and then messing things up. I have seen it before and not great. The food is ok. It depends on what you order. I would give 4 stars for their drink selection, milkshakes and regular burgers. The special "guac" burger was not that great, the kid's menu is ok and the fries as well. Try the onion rings, they are not too bad. They are currently under construction so you have the use the drive-thru. The staff is nice and I have seen them go out of their way to help not just the younger crowd, but the older crowd as well

Men's room trash was full and towels were empty. Drink counter trash overflowing. Poor first impression. Counter staff pleasant. 4pm, slow time. Should be cleaner.

Just about every time that I go there they get my order wrong. The prices for their food are very exorbitant. I ordered two bacon beast single burgers with fries and drink and it was 27 plus dollars. Outrageous!

Ok, gave you 2 tries to get it right. 1st visit, ordered double thick burger, got charged for double, recieved 1 patty. 2nd visit, got the new "Sourdough Star", they served it on untoasted bread. I had to go online and make sure I wasn't losing my mind, the picture clearly shows toasted Sourdough... you are serving burgers on raw 🍞. +1 star for cashier friendliness.

Every time I've come through here I get cold food. 2x I've gotten incorrect items and EVERY time fries and burgers cold. My chicken sandwich must have been on par for 45 minutes when they used it. Don't waste your money here, Burger and Cream is right across the street, it's way better and equally priced. This was my last attempt at this horrible location.

I have been here a few times and the employees are nice. however I bought some chicken here and when I got home found it had Hair in it. I was kinda put off but decided to give them another chance today only to find out once I got home I was missing part of my Order. It took a while for the order to come to the window so I assumed it was right. guess I will never make that assumption again

The staff is always great, the food is too expensive, the sliced tomatoes are always gross (unripe and grainy) and there's too much sweetener in the corporation's beef patty recipes. I try a burger there a couple or few times a year to try a promo or settle for a Famous Star. The breakfast burritos and coffee are good.

This is the slowest Carl's jr I've ever been to. And in top of the usually the persons working the drive thru are rude, with an exception to a couple younger ladys.

The customer service here is a joke. It seems when the manager is gone all the "females" lose all customer service skills and become very rude. I assume the manager is gone because I don't think such poor customer service and attitude would be tolerated if there was one on site. Terrible location, even sadder employees.

A Websters accuracy definition of careless and apathetic. I guess fool me once applies here. Multiple experiences, dine in, drive thru and door dash, has always been a fruitless experience. You can tell that the staff really don't care, and the fact that they have a permanent "now hiring" window vinyl should be a dead giveaway. I guess the old adage is true. If you want something done right, you are best to do it yourself. If you are looking for cold food, incorrect orders and a sub par attitude , this place is for you.

Had cancer appt. For a face fitting mask to prepare for upcoming radiation schedule. Had not eaten, so after said appt. I stopped to get a bite at Carl's Jr. An hour later when I got back home, my stomach / bowels started cramping and severe nausea overtook me. Ive had food poisening before, this was food poisening again ! Toilet 9and garbage can at the same time ! Ill never eat there again ! I actually used a 2 for 1 coupon. Brought home the other hamburger,,, In the can this goes with the first one. (Recycled). Ugly - This has not happened to me in two decades ! Its no fun, it all came back to me that quickly ! Final Lesson to be learned ,,, Theres nothing we can do but trust that people clean their stations and wash themselves well. I dont think these precautions were important at Carls Jr. this afternoon, (about 3:30-4:00), I was "Turned inside Out", because of Laziness, and / Or, Bad Training,,, At this point, it really does not matter which. They never get the order right anymore. We always ask for extra cheese and they never do it. To the point now where we just wont go there since burger and cream is across the steet and they seem to get the order correct.

Around 8pm I went to get a milkshake asked for a oreo one they said oh were out of oreos so I asked for a chocolate one and then the guy was like "er umm... eh were out of shakes" more like they just didnt want to make the machine dirty, which is fine just say that.

I'd give it less than one star thanks to Liz, but Google won't let me accurately rate my experience to it's lowest form. I've heard and read multiple complaints about this "manager" and she needs to be retrained, or better yet FIRED. Let her ruin someone else's experience elsewhere until she figures it out.

today july 29th,I was treated so rudely by whom I believe to be the manager,or assistant manager. At 5:15 pm after placing my order,I was greeted at pick up window by a freindly small blond young lady,then the manager or assistant took the bag & practically threw it at me,said here you go,no eye contact.If the sandwich had been mine I would have thrown it back through the window. I worked in food & beverage for over 30 yrs.& had to bite my toung & keep a smile on my face many times. And why don't they hire men. My nephew applied there acouple weeks ago & was treated the same,like his app. had dirt on it or something by the same woman. Went through the drive thru and ordered onion rings and fried zucchini. The zucchini was fresh out of the frier but the onion rings were iced cold and soggy.

So I just left the Carl’s here, I order two things a breakfast burger and some chicken tenders on was a meal and one wasn’t. The line was long so I waited in the drive thru for roughly 20 mins, which is completely fine don’t mind waiting for food late night, lot of people not a problem, anyways all of the sudden the line started to move very quickly I get home a realize why, my breakfast burger had burger meat, cheese, two hash brown things, and ketchup, not making the burger like they should, after waiting that long in line for two meals I expect my order to be right, not messed up, I didn’t pay money to get something that I didn’t order. My experience was bad. I won’t continue to go here.

One star is generous. Drive thru employees are dismissive when I try to ask questions regarding my order. Fries are always cold within a minute of leaving the premises. I spent 40.00 on extremely mediocre meal combos for 3. Carl's Jr. Has finally lost my patronige.

Why do they put the fries in upside down in the take out bag? Got them home and all the fries were I. The brown bag, and NONE in the fries bag. WHY???

Usually I eat here for lunch, decided to come for dinner tonight. Won't be doing that ever again. My wife's burger was thrown together and had the wrong sized beef Patty on it. Both our sandwiches were drowning in way to much mayonnaise, so much so that it was dripping out the whole time we were eating. Our fries were cold and had obviously been sitting for a long time. The only redeeming quality of the whole experience was the oreo shake, which we ordered without whipped cream but had on it anyway. I'll stick to eating lunch there.

The workers here have posted videos on their Instagram stories of them putting things (like extra salt or even boogers) in drinks and food and then when reported nobody does anything about it. It's disgusting. They also roughhouse a lot and post pictures on their pages of purposeful messes they make in the kitchen area.

Seeing it stayed that way on the menu, we accepted her explanation. Well, guess what?? We drove off with a Famous Star with cheese and didn’t see until arriving home. The other burger was an original $6 burger, with tomatoes that were a yellowish orange- and the end of the tomato to boot! See pics. Our onion rings were cold and soft. The restaurant not busy; I was alone in the drive through. Super NOT happy.

I ordered both a 6 piece AND a 12 piece box of chicken nuggets (? smaller than traditional 'tenders'), 2 orders of onion rings, honey mustard dipping sauce and a medium Coke. It came to a little over $15. Drove back home and first discovered only got 1 order of onion rings (not sure if charged correctly or not), THEN opened the chicken tenders. It was immediately apparent all but maybe 3 pieces of chicken were overcooked and old. I think they may have made multiple trips thru the hot grease to warm them. Some were so overdone they were darker inside. All the chicken "tenders" or nuggets were tough as shoe leather and thoroughly disgusting. I've had the same chicken pieces at OTHER locations and LOVED them previously. Just this particular restaurant. We'd take a bite, then spit out the gross pieces. I ate maybe 3 entire pieces. My father dumped his CJ tenders and ate week old leftovers instead. The cashier was polite. The Coke and onion rings were both ok. Overall was disappointed with meal from Carl's Jr.

I ordered a bacon guacamole burger and zucchini. They put the wrong size burger on it. It tasted fine. They re-fried old zucchini and gave them to me instead of asking me to wait. I will get over it if I want Carl's Jr or drive the extra 30 mins next time. This location sucks. If you pay just shy of $15 for a burger, side, and water it should be made right. Idk what is wrong with people today and not valuing doing their job right. Oh and there was no one inside and only one person that had just pulled up before me.

Took my son for lunch here, and though I've had uneven service here before, this was the worst experience to date. Manager running the place acted like customers were a bother and couldn't care less about her or her staff's level of service. I ordered a western bacon cheeseburger combo and a 3-piece chicken tenders combo with a side of BBQ sauce and queso. When they brought our food out, most of our order was correct but they have me another burger for some reason and no side of BBQ sauce. I told the server that I didn't order this queso burger, just a side of queso. The manager tells the server (not addressing me) that I did order the queso burger and to tell me I can't get a refund. I just wanted to eat and for us to leave but they still hadn't brought my kid's side of BBQ sauce, so I asked the server again and he told me he would go grab some, but then he never came back. I walked back to the counter and asked again, and the server acted (like everyone else there) that I was being a bother, rolled his eyes as he called to the back for someone to get a side of BBQ, put on the counter (not even handing it to me) and walked away. The screwed up order, the bad attitude and unprofessionalism, the no refund; I'm done with this place and will not return.

Ordered the five chicken tenders to go for $8 & change. When I got home & opened the bag I was amazed at the size of the "tenders", they were more like bite-size nuggets. If you were to remove the breading, the amount of chicken was miniscule. Don't waste your money, eat somewhere else

8:30 on a Saturday night and no chicken items at all. No shakes. The person at the drive up got the order confused.We only ordered one meal and a burger . And they’re getting $20 an hour!😡

Under staffed and enployee seem unaware of surroundings including the line and my order was incorrect which isn't much of a shock from this one restaurant

I ordered a bacon guacamole burger and zucchini. They put the wrong size burger on it. It tasted fine. They re-fried old zucchini and gave them to me instead of asking me to wait. I will get over it if I want Carl's Jr or drive the extra 30 mins next time. This location sucks. If you pay just shy of $15 for a burger, side, and water it should be made right. Idk what is wrong with people today and not valuing doing their job right. Oh and there was no one inside and only one person that had just pulled up before me.

Took my son for lunch here, and though I've had uneven service here before, this was the worst experience to date. Manager running the place acted like customers were a bother and couldn't care less about her or her staff's level of service. I ordered a western bacon cheeseburger combo and a 3-piece chicken tenders combo with a side of BBQ sauce and queso. When they brought our food out, most of our order was correct but they have me another burger for some reason and no side of BBQ sauce. I told the server that I didn't order this queso burger, just a side of queso. The manager tells the server (not addressing me) that I did order the queso burger and to tell me I can't get a refund.
