We just had our son's communion party here and Dimaggios was perfection!! The food was mind blowing! The hot and cold antipasti kept coming - burrata, roasted peppers, olives, tomato & basil, artichokes with bread crumbs, fried calamari and marinara, garlic bread- each dish was so delicious!! Then came the salad course, followed by an impressive selection of entrees and it was topped off with our cake and a choice of tea, espresso and coffee!! We even had limoncello! What a way to finish!! I also had guests with gluten free and dairy free requests and they were served wonderful options as well!! Everyone I spoke to raved that this was the best Italian restaurant they've ever been to!! And the atmosphere could not be beat!! We had the entire back room to ourselves and we felt as though we were transported to Italy! It was so authentic! Eddy was so helpful during the planning process and he knew just how to set up the room to compliment our decorations for the occasion! He even put together a beautiful personalized menu for our guests to make their selections! It added just the right touch! The service staff also went above and beyond and were so attentive and friendly!! It made for such a memorable experience!! I can't thank them all enough!! Our son said that "this was the best time of his life and that this is his favorite restaurant." I can wholeheartedly say that we agree!! We can't wait to plan our next event here! I know we will be having my other son's communion here without a doubt! But we are already trying to figure out the next time we can go out to dinner here because we know that the food will always be phenomenal!! Thanks again for such a wonderful time!! I cannot recommend Dimaggios enough!! Event planning has never been so easy! Rest assured all will be taken care of! I wish I had pics of the food but we devoured it ALL before we had the opportunity! Thanks so much again to everyone that was involved in making our day so special!

Great place very familiar and also music is good. It's not too loud so you can still talk to the person with you, the environment here is awesome I loved it. The waitress was very attentive all time.

Great Italian!!! It would be tough to find better..we had the calamari and anti pasta appetizers and both are fantastic..I had veal piccata and my wife had chicken franches which were awesome..and they make the best lemon drop anywhere

Came here on a strong recommendation of a friend! Boy, was this place amazing! Authentic and everyone was so hospitable. I flew in from LA for an event and this was the first stop. The food was spectacular! Take some time to see the town too. A real charmer. Thank you Ed for your kindness!

DiMaggio’s Trattoria in Port Washington is a best kept secret in fine restaurant dining. The food is truly delicious, the service is outstanding, & the ambiance is charming. Found this hidden jewel because I couldn’t get in the restaurant I planned to visit. The Penne a la vodka turned out to be the highlight of my day. It’s the best pasta I’ve ever had in the past 3 years and it definitely showed me the true form of comfort food. I’ve never found myself smiling nonstop from the second pasta was served. Definitely recommend the pasta. Tiramisu was not too sweet, super moist and flavorful, perfect match with the extra foamy cappuccino served with perfect amount of ground cinnamon on top. Do not miss out on the dessert!!

This restaurant was by far the BEST Italian food I have had in NYC and Long Island. The portions were perfect, the taste was delicious, the timing of the food coming out amazing. From start to finish the experience we had was spot on perfect. The wait staff and the owner were also very nice. We will definitely be coming back to DiMaggio's.

The food was really good. My only complaint was it felt cramped in the eating area but hey it's still good food and is a Port washington staple. I'll come back again. I ordered the rigatoni pollo oreganata and my boyfriend the Penne Al vodka I recommend both. I wish my boyfriend could've added chicken on top but the addition of chicken was $8 which is a little pricy. But even without the chicken the penne al vodka was awesome and the rigatoni pollo oreganata was delicious. ALSO the tiramisu is BOMB highly highly HIGHLY recommend it.

very small restaurant what gets very noisy when the tables are full. the linguini with white clam sauce had not taste thou ght eeggplant rotinit and chicken francese were very good

The atmosphere of the restaurant is romantic and cousy, the music was fitting, the service was fantastic, they were very attentive. The food was great and my favorite were the homemade chocolate cake and the sangria. My husband favorite was the meat lasagna.

Went for lunch with my friend. One glass of wine, soup, pasta.... x2=$175... ouch. food was good not great, It has been 6 hours past I still cant get over how expensive it was.
