Delicioso BBQ Sandwich. Cálida atención. Me encantó.
Best places for $10 and some big portions
The folks are friendly, the food was delicious if you find yourself on this neck of the woods you owe it to yourself to stop, say hi, and eat good in good company.
I challenge anyone that drives through post Texas I garuntee you this is by far. And I say by far the best bbq you will ever eat.
Good food. Not very expensive. Try their smoked burger.
Real texas BBQ..brisket is some of the best you'll wrap your mouth around!
Good food, friendly people. I would definitely stop to eat there again!
Amazing food! SMOKED burger and owners were very friendly 😁
The smoked burger was delicious I will definitely be back for another one😋
The food is great. A really good place to eat with really good customer service!
Meat was best bbq meat I’ve had in west Texas
Good real BBQ, sausage is perfect!
I tried the BEST brisket ever.
Great food, had The Bucket!!

Love this spot!
Great BBQ and service!!!
Good folks, good food
Man one of the Best of the Best
Some of the best bbq you will find in Texas. And the cheeseburgers are huge!!! The owners are just the sweetest people you’ll meet as well. This will be our go-to spot when traveling this way!
I live in East Texas and drive thru Post TX frequently, and I ALWAYS make a stop at The Wagon! Kylene is an amazing lady, makes such delicious BBQ and sides! Love my regular visits there! The cowboy dexor has such cool history and ambiance too
Just stopped in as we were traveling through. I read all of the reviews and it lived up to the high rating. I had the 2 meat plate and it was awsome. My husband had the slop bucket and he loved it. 😍
Some of the best brisket in West Texas if you ask me. You should stop by and judge for yourself. Even Chef Ramsey wouldn't be able to find a flaw. Just pure delicious
Great bbq in small town post. I don't eat brisket much but if I lived closer I would about 4 times a week. Friendly owners clean and good prices.
Best smoker burgers and fresh cut fries in the whole state of Texas. Definitely worth a trip to this place! We will be back for sure!
I'm a local, try to eat here at least once a week, mark and his women, marks a real cowboy busted up kinda like a walking museum , good people, love ❤️ the slop bucket, brisket, sausages, dang home made French fries are bar nun anywhere I've ever ate ,simply a hole in wall experience, and there honestly to cheap to quality of food ratio, your loss respectfully
Stoped here with my boys today and grabbed a few brisket sandwiches, brisket was so good didn’t need any bbq sauce!!! Nice little seating area outside my boys were able to throw the football for a bit too
We got the brisket plate and a sausage wrap plate. Both were fantastic, thanks for the great food and memories.
Came across this place in post tx on our way to Clovis new Mexico most amazing bbq best my dad and I , my mom have had better than are home town bbq Sharon's and joe Allen's do yourself favor stop by this place the wagon you will be upmost pleased with everything about this place 🥰
Hot damn this is the best damn barbecue I have had since meeting with the president of the United States at the Rio Grande when you ask for the ribs they literally will fall off the bone don't drop the bones take them home to your puppy
Yummmm!!! Love their local sausage, and the Slop Bucket is one of my favorites. Hand cut fries are perfect!
Great food and service. Brisket and okra was soo good. The brisket was cooked perfect very moist and tender
SOOOO good! The owner lady is so friendly and the food is excellent! Brisket is always just perfect!
Great food, im a western burger guy. Kylene and Mark do a fantastic job. Cozy, cowboy setting.
Very impressed! 10/10. We ate loaded fries, Beef and brisket burger and has awesome conversation with (Mark) the owner. I love great stories while I eat so this was right up our alley! We were just passing through to Tao, NM and decided to stop in. We are so glad we did! Thank Mark for being so kind to us and sharing fun stories.
Such nice people and really amazing BBQ at reasonable prices! We sat outside with our dog, it was the perfect place to get a really delicious lunch while passing through Post, TX. The brisket was cooked to perfection, the fries were fresh and well seasoned, the okra was crispy and the beans were simple, but very flavorful. My husband got the Wheeler burger, the smoked burger patty had a beautiful smoke ring and the flavor was out of this world! Thank you so much for the food, service and welcoming our dog on the patio!! Just as a note; There was at least one review that said the brisket had a lot of fat, while there was some fat in the brisket, it was the perfectly rendered and melted in your mouth kind of fat. The meat would not have been as moist and delicious if that fat had been removed before it was cooked, while I don't enjoy eating fat, I had no issue setting a few pieces to the side and my husband was thrilled to eat it.
Stopped on our way to Palo Duro Canyon from NW Georgia. Absolutely delicious. Real food in a real town with local very sweet owners.

Really enjoyed the food; brisket burger sandwich and street tacos were delicious. The Wheelers are lovely people and chatting with them while we had lunch was a nice experience as we travelled back home to Houston from Palo Duro Canyon. Thank you!
Rustic BBQ place with excellent food, great service and good conversation!! Everything you need after a long drive! Get the burger with brisket and coleslaw! You won’t be disappointed!!
Stopped by a few days ago while on a university trip with a good-sized group. Service was so fast and friendly (we were all back on the road in under an hour even with plenty of great conversation in between), and the food was AMAZING!! Some of the best brisket I've ever had. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by again!! :)
Had a great lunch today at the Wagon! Food was excellent and the Wheelers were most friendly. We will certainly stop again and recommend you do the same!
How come there's only 5 stars on this rating system? We need more stars! Passing through from Tehachapi, California. This place was amazing! I hope you're hungry when you show up here. Great portion size for the price. Four of us left full and still couldn't eat it all. Brisket was as tender and juicy as a wagyu tri-tip. It melts in your mouth and tantalizes your taste buds. The potato salad was delicious. All of the homemade flavors and hospitality that you'd expect from a quaint little Texas town. Definitely give this place a try.
If you’re looking for locally sourced, smoked to perfection meats, this is your place! The Wagon BBQ should compete in competitions, it’s THAT good. And I grew up eating BBQ from Lockhart, Texas which is world renowned for its pit masters. This place is right there with the best of the best. If you’re driving through town, look no further and stop on in. You’ll be glad you did
They got the burgers out quick. This was a nice change from typical roadtrip fast food and the couple working who I assume were the owners were awesome to talk to.
I will most certainly give this place a full 5 stars, we enjoyed the lunches and the great conversation. I had the sloppy bucket... it has fries, beans, brisket, jalapeños, cheese, and you top it off with extra bbq sauce...WOW, what a meal. I will definitely bring some more of my family to try other items as well. Great food and conversation.
Super friendly owners and one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of burgers.
We just left there and the WHOLE family loved it. We were traveling thru from Ga (Go Dawgs)! I had a big BBQ sandwhich, wife LOVED the brisket, boys had the slop bucket. This was all soooo good. And the friendly folks told us some of the good sites to see to help out on our family vac. If we EVER get to come back to this part of Texas we will go out of our way to visit The Wagon Wheel again. Oh and one part that meant the most was as we walked out the door he told us God Bless you.
hands-down the best barbecue I’ve had in a long time!! traveling through we saw the sign looked authentic, tasted authentic, quick, convenient, cold drinks, hot food, hotter staff!! you would be amiss for not stopping by.
Road trip to Central Texas - great stop here. Highly recommend the turkey - best ever!
The brisket is moist and very tender! The fries are not to be missed, fresh cut and served with little rings of sautéed sweet onion. I’ve never had anything like them. Great service and big servings!

Am not sure why they call their brisket BBQ since there's no sauce.
Pretty good kinda high priced but good
I love brisket
Very nice chatting with her. The bbq meat was a little dry and the holdingtemp of the meat should of been warme. I'm not in a wheel chair/or walker but if i was I would not be able to use the restroom, sore is too small
Food and prices were good. Bathrooms were desperately in need of upgrade/repair though. Owners were super nice and friendly. Location is good, right on the highway through town. Would go back again.
Everything you expect from a small town restaurant in northwest Texas. Like eating at home. Very low key. Relaxed. We were just driving thru on a long trip, found the place via Google. Glad we stopped! Lively conversation with the staff. Great brisket and sausage plate! Lots of food for modest price. Burger was cooked well done... was still good, but if the place wants to be known for burgers, they could work on that... a bit of pink (medium) wouldn't hurt. Ocra was fried hard, a minute less would be better. No complaints. Praise for good people working hard to make ends meet providing home-style meals to locals in Post and the occasional passersby. The place has that rundown blue-collar feel which is a staple of Texas BBQ atmosphere. If driving by, look for the Open sign.
Great place, very conveniently placed for the traveler. Corn was cooked perfectly, burger was good just not very exciting. Can't beat the atmosphere.

My hiking buddy and I were on our way back south after dropping off another friend at the grand canyon. We were passing through Post and decided to stop for lunch. We pulled over at a Subway but on exiting the vehicle, were hit by the heavenly smell of smoked meat, and followed our noses next door to The Wagon. Wonderful pulled pork sandwich! I grew up in north Mississippi, close to Memphis, and consider myself to know something about BBQ. One of the best I ever had. One of the other reviewers complained about the amount of fat in the meat. I reveled in it! Fat is where the juiciness, tenderness and flavor come from! If you're a gluten free, fat free, joy free type, go next door to Subway (no offense guys) and have a salad. If you want some lip smackin' goodness, stay at The Wagon. Remember, if you stop eating bacon, you're still gonna die.

This is no BBQ place.. good Cafe - yes. No taste....
Service was amazing. But the food is not. Briaket was tasteless and all fat fries tasted like dirt I don't think the potatoes were washed before use and beans had no flavor.
We stopped here driving through based upon ratings. We love good Texas brisket! What we got was tender brisket that was probably cooked in the oven. No smoke ring. Not much of any seasoning. It was meat. It wasn’t BBQ as I know it. We had slaw and potato salad for sides at $2.50 each. They were meh. I gave it 2 stars because the owner was very nice. The meat was tender. The pulled pork might be a better option.

Horrible, sandwich had all fat no meat. So I took it back and showed them. They said sorry and gave me another one. Well that wasn't any better. Same thing all fat no meat. That's just not right. I wasted $7 on 2 BBQ fat sandwiches. I will never stop there again. I don't want to give them a star but google is making me.
