We frequent Dave's Hot Chicken often and totally enjoy it. Today we decided to try the fried pickles. The batter was very tasty. Unfortunately the amount of pickles we received in our order was disappointing for the $7.99 charge. Additionally the size of the pickles were on average about the size of a quarter. Really! We won't ever order the fried pickles again. Love the sliders, fries, & sauce. though!

First time trying Dave’s Hot Chicken. I ordered the #4 which is 1 slider with fries. Of course I had to get it Reaper hot. The sandwich was very good and made to order so it was fresh and hot (temperature). Fries are crinkle cut and very crispy. This location was not very busy around noon on a Wednesday

First time at Dave’s Hot Chicken on Belt Line in Richardson, and we’ll definitely be back. I ordered breakfast and enjoyed it—flavor was solid, chicken was juicy, and everything was fresh. My wife and son were with me, and both of them liked their food too. That says a lot because my wife is a pretty picky eater, and my son can be the same way. So when they’re both satisfied, that’s a win in my book. The gentleman who handed us our food at the counter was very friendly and welcoming. Great energy. The lady who took our order was professional but could’ve smiled a little more—nothing major, just something that stood out. The restroom was okay. Not spotless, but not bad either. Could use a quick refresh, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The restaurant itself was clean and had a cool vibe. Good music, and the food came out fast. All in all, this spot delivered what we came for—good food, solid service, and a place we’d be happy to visit again. The food is very good, but a little pricey. When I compare the amount of food you get with the price you pay, versus the other popular chicken finger place, not far from here, It was a little surprising. Once I got the food, I understood better. The chicken fingers at Dave’s is more than twice the size of the competitors chicken fingers, so it becomes a wash. Thing is, they’ve got all different levels of spice/heat on these things. I love that. This was my first visit at Dave’s Hot Chicken, and it did not disappoint. I got the number three combo, medium, plus I got an additional two chicken fingers. I’m not a big fan of slaw, especially on a sandwich, so I asked for it on the side. I gave it a try and added some to the sandwich, it’s just not my thing. Perfectly happy with the sandwich/slider without slaw, and it was great. The two additional chicken fingers I got, I got as mild, just in case the medium was a bit too much. The medium was perfectly satisfying without being too hot. The mild was really good as well, but I think I’ll stick with the medium when I come back.

I’m giving this 2 stars for the food and overall 4 stars bc although the chicken was freshly cooked, it did not seem cooked all the way through. There were parts of the meat that were slimy and gray in color, and some of the breading was also slimy and definitely undercooked. The chicken breading was also not crispy at all. I’m not sure if that’s how they should be, but I was expecting crispy fried chicken. The spice levels for medium and extra hot were what I think they should be, but not the spice flavors that taste good to me (which is definitely a personal preference). Overall, we ended up throwing a lot of it away. Also, I did not realize how big the tenders are, and definitely over ordered for 2 people. The fries did not taste fresh and were not hot (had that old, gritty texture). Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Will not be back unfortunately.. just not the flavors I like on chicken, and also prefer crispy breading, not soft and chewy.

this was actually bombastically weird tasting even my cousin ester didnt like it and she likes everything. i was trying my hardest to like it but even the sauce the chicken the flavor everything was bad i mean the fries were good but without cheese itd be baddd. the toast wasnt even toasted🥲 but it wasnt terrible go ahead and go if ur rlly craving it just saying its not the best

If I could rate it a 0 I would, the powder on the tenders are grainy. They didn’t even label the extra hot and medium correctly. And now I understand why there was no one at the store. I wouldn’t recommend this if you’re craving some good food, but definitely go here if you want to waste your money! Their menu lacks variety but I don’t blame them. GUYS PLEASE DONT WASTE UR MONEY ON THIS PLACE!!!! Their fries were good.. that’s it. Pickles weren’t even fermented, sad day for a pickle lover. $70 down the drain… We had to cut the chicken and play russian roulette because we were afraid we’d get the super spicy ones (some of us can’t handle spice) and the breadddd OMGGGG don’t get me started. They could’ve AT THE LEAST toasted it because it gets soggy and all nasty and in addition the bread just gives cheap store-bought….

I normally love going to Dave’s and I usually have the best experience but this time around unfortunately I did not get that. I had ordered the cauli bites, and unfortunately got the normal Dave bites, and I didn’t get the extra sauce I asked for as well. I should’ve checked before leaving. I did still like it but I would’ve been happier if I got what I ordered.

Dave’s Hot Chicken Very dirty Table. I request this guys they ignore it and argument with me . He says he is very busy. Other associates told me he is manager (Axon) that store. He is very rude with customer. I go there every week I never seen him before.

The food here was unbelievably salty—easily the saltiest meal I’ve ever had. I could barely take two bites of the sandwich and two fries before giving up. When I called the location to ask if this was normal, they actually said it is normal! If you care about your health, avoid this place and its insane amount of salt. Even by looking at the pictures you can see how salty it is
