I had the weekend buffet last week and it was an amazing experience! Absolutely loved the spread. I already enjoy their biryani, but the paneer curry was amazing. The coconut chutney was delicious too! The starters were yum, especially the Chicken 65 and the pakoda — so good! Overall, a wonderful experience.
The food is amazing especially the weekend buffet a good mix of north indian and south indian dishes. Only pani puri is a bland if it had more flavours it would have amazing too. Overall amazing food though!!
Kudos to the chef, we ordered mutton biriyani, chicken lollipop, naan and mutton curry with chicken kebab, Each of dishes were perfect and authentic in taste, The prices was very reasonable it only costed us $150 even though we ordered so many dishes and 6 adults were able to eat and bring home some food too. The guy who took our order was very kind and courteous. He made us feel so welcome. If you want to have authenticity and taste or feel like your home, and have perfect Indian food this is the Restaurant you need to get to.
Excellent authentic Indian food made from fresh spices and cooked to perfection. Seriously the best Curry & Biriyani I’ve had since leaving the UK. Highly recommend the chicken vindaloo - delish.
This restaurant is the best in town for their authentic and flavorful Indian food, especially their shrimp & chicken biryanis. My most favorite of it is you can order the spices level on your preference. Seasonal goat curry is a must try, and their paneer curry is my all time favorite too.
Hyderabad Biryani House came recommended from an Indian friend of mine, and since I love Indian food I had to give it a try. My expectations were high and they sure delivered! I tried the butter chicken and the chicken chettinad with some garlic naan. It was absolutely delicious. I enjoy some spice to my food, so when prompted I asked for medium spicy and it was perfect. The staff were all so friendly and the food came out pretty quick. I would easily recommend this place to anyone that loves Indian food or has wanted to try it.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hyderabad Biryani House with a group of friends, and I must say, the experience was a delightful revelation compared to my previous takeaway orders. The difference in taste and quality when dining in was quite remarkable. Ambiance and Service: The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant ambiance that set the tone for an enjoyable evening. The decor, with its traditional touches and modern comforts, created a cozy yet lively atmosphere. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing our dining experience with their prompt service and friendly demeanor. The Culinary Journey: We embarked on a culinary journey, trying a variety of dishes that showcased the rich flavors and culinary expertise of Hyderabad Biryani House. - Mango Lassi: This refreshing drink was the perfect start to our meal. The lassi was thick, creamy, and had the right balance of sweetness and tanginess from the mangoes. It was a delightful palate cleanser that prepared us for the feast ahead. - Chicken 65: A classic appetizer, the Chicken 65 was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The spices were well-balanced, providing a burst of flavor with each bite. It was a crowd-pleaser and disappeared quickly from our table. - Mutton Chukka: This dish was a standout with its succulent pieces of mutton cooked to perfection. The rich, spicy gravy was infused with aromatic spices, making it a hearty and satisfying dish. The mutton was tender and flavorful, melting in the mouth with each bite. - Vijayawada Boneless Chicken Biryani: The biryani was a revelation. The boneless chicken pieces were marinated and cooked to perfection, blending seamlessly with the fragrant basmati rice. The spices were well-balanced, and the biryani had a delightful aroma that was simply irresistible. - Hyderabadi Mutton Dum Biryani: This dish was the highlight of our meal. The mutton was cooked on dum, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully. The rice was fluffy and aromatic, and the mutton was tender and juicy. Each mouthful was a symphony of flavors, making it a memorable dish. Overall Experience: Dining in at Hyderabad Biryani House was a fantastic experience. The quality of the food was significantly better than my previous takeaway experiences, and the ambiance and service added to the overall enjoyment. Each dish was a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs, and the flavors were authentic and satisfying. I highly recommend dining in to fully appreciate the delicious offerings of Hyderabad Biryani House. It was a fun and memorable evening, and I look forward to my next visit.
We were celebrating my Daughter’s 19th Birthday; it’s one of her favorite restaurants. The food was absolutely delicious. Service was friendly, courteous, and welcoming. And I absolutely love the ambience of the restaurant. We ordered, Mango Lassi, Chicken Butter Masala, Butter Naan, Chilli Chicken and Basmati Rice Special thanks to Savio who took excellent care of us. Savio surprised us at the end of the meal and brought out a dessert with a candle in it so we could sing Happy Birthday to our daughter. What we ordered: Chicken Butter Masala: Boneless Chicken cooked in a silky tomato gravy with a hint of spices and fresh herbs, topped with a dollop of butter or cream. Chilli Chicken: Deep fried chicken tossed in house made manchurian sauce. Butter Naan and Basmati Rice.
Wow, not often I come across ratings (3.8 in 2023) so disjoint with my experience. Our party of six had an absolutely lovely dinner at this hole-in-the-wall shopping stop restaurant. We might have been the only non-Indian patrons dining, but that really just spoke to its authenticity. Specialty is South Indian cuisine, which is a refreshing change, but also cater to the typical northern dishes one can find everywhere else. Won’t win any decor contests, but super family friendly and pleasantly surprised to discover they serve alcohol. Kids loved their mango lassis, and we loved our dosa specialties with chicken curry, mutton curry, madras fish, and guntur karam (spicy potato stuffed dosa). Our waiter was quick, efficient, polite, and helpful. Definitely a somewhat unsuspecting gem that we’d be happy to return to.
One of the best biryani I ever had outside India definitely recommended this is really authentic biryani house in Rochester City, I ordered a hyderabadi biryani with chicken tikka masala and mango lassi all of the foods are excellent. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Indian food place in Rochester City.
4.5 stars. This restaurant had not opened when I was living in Rochester and I really wish it had. This is the only authentic biryani I've had there! We came here on a week night but had reservations. Good thing because it was quite full! While they call themselves biryani house, they have south Indian cuisine primarily, some north Indian curries and the Biryanis. We ordered the Kodi vepudu (chicken vepudu), the Hyderabadi dum goat and chicken biryanis. They take time to get the orders in, so it allows you to actually have a conversation with your group. The vepudu was very good but too oily. That is the reason I give them 4.5 stars. Everything about it other than that was amazing! Spicy, masaledar and well-cooked as far as the chicken goes. This is definitely a dish for spice lovers. The biryanis were excellent! We ordered a spice level of 6, which I (who LOVES spice and always goes for highest) actually thought was decently spicy!! I didn't need to add any raita to calm it down. My brother, who took a 7 on the goat biryani, thought that was a little more spicy than he liked, so may be that would be the perfect level for me. Both biryanis were delicious. The rice was nice and separate. The meat (both goat and chicken) was really cooked well and the spice and flavors had seeped through it all. Quantities were great. We shared a biryani between two people and still didn't finish it. All in all, really happy with this place and will visit when I come back to Rochester!
I visited for the buffet last weekend and was impressed by the variety. Unfortunately, almost every dish I tried was significantly under-seasoned and lacked the expected depth of taste. While the spread looks great, the execution on the actual seasoning (particularly salt and spice) needs much more attention to match the presentation. I’d love to see the kitchen focus more on quality over quantity in the future.
Do not order online if you want your dinner between 5-5.30pm. They will accept online order hours before 5pm even though the app says it will be ready at 4.45. I called at 5.02 to ask what the status was and they say it will be ready in 15 min. That was lie. They don’t have it ready for another 45 mins.
I used to visit this place in the past and the food quality, quantity and pricing were great. I visited this place recently and noticed the quality isn't like before, quantity is okay-ish and pricing is much higher than before. If the quality and quantity increased with price, that would've been okay but that's not the case here. We ordered Chicken Dum Biryani, Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Kadai and Malabar paratta. The biryani didn't taste as before and had less chicken. Paneer Kadai was good. Malabar paratta was dry and felt like it was microwaved. Gobi was okay, not that great. Overall, not gonna recommend this place. They're over charging and serving low quality food. Avoid this place if you can.
visited Hyderabadi Biryani House a few weeks ago in the afternoon, hoping to try some good Indian food. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing because of the service. From the start, the staff member showed no courtesy — he just dropped the menu on the table without a word and didn’t even pour water into the glass. I ordered the house special masala dosa, which turned out to be much larger than I expected. Ideally, the server could have mentioned this to help me make a better choice since I was dining alone, but I let that pass. The real issue came when the food was served. The dosa was simply placed on the table in such a way that it was nearly impossible to eat properly. At the very least, I expected basic care in how the food was served. The food itself was decent, no complaints there, but the behavior and lack of basic hospitality left me very dissatisfied. I hope they improve their service, because food alone doesn’t make up for such an experience.
This place takeout is a joke, no matter what spice level you request they always end up putting junk in your order. This is my 3rd time I was ordering biriyani with Mild Spice level, and they end up serving Spicy level every time. And also the food in the takeout doesn't feel fresh, probably just reheated. Not ordering again from here. Spreading the awareness of this shitty service.
