William was very friendly. Unfortunately I couldn't give a tip but if I could I would've. They packed my breakfast burritos. Sooo yummy.
Good food & service, if you have their App you can get great deals on food & drinks. Today I got Medium Chili Cheese Tots for $ 0.99, they normally cost $ 3.29.

I just love their service. I would really recommend their new queso burger. It has baja zesty cheese sauce, cheeder shredded cheese, grilled onions and hatched green chillies.

Antoinette is the best. Love their breakfast toasters, and the Tuesday half-priced cheeseburgers are a steal. When you're stuck in morning traffic to Bush, stop in for breakfast.

I love Sonic but this location is not just about food.People are amazing especially William he is my favorite.It was raining and I parked away from entry door and he asked me next time to park close to the door/yes I was selfish not to think about it and he made sure you got it!!!Loved it and he gets to you EVERY time.He is VERY kind, caring and straight to the point and now I do more Sonic food.Thanks God is not organic,GMO or great value!!!
Sometimes I don't have time to make breakfast. Don't know what I would do without this place. The friendly staff always let's me know if I'm ordering something that will take extra time to make, so I can make another selection if I wish to. My order is brought out to me quickly and correctly everytime.
Believe it or not never have gotten diahrrea from there. They are Always nice. Alittle slow. On service time n the ice cream shakes sit too long n get watery runny other than that the cheeze burgs are good onion rings good tattor tots goods coneys good.
Idk if Karla is new but she is awesome! My phone was glitching so I couldn't check in for my online order but it was no problem for her. And she was super nice and sweet

This is my favorite Sonic. Service is always great and fast. I have order her for over 10 years and never had a wrong order. Menu selection is great along with prices.

50 cent corny dog day and they were piping hot! Not Fletcher's, but for 50 cents...can't be beat!! Service was quick and excellent and my party of 2 ate and drank for about $9! Highly recommend this Sonic location!
I always pay for extra extra extra basically, I tell them peanut butter cups, then add ice cream, then add peanut butter cups, then more ice cream until my sonic blast is half and half ice cream and peanut butter cups.... They always get it wrong! They add all this ice cream and put like an inch of crumbled peanut butter cups on top. It wouldn't bother me but I pay almost twice the price. That's my only complaint, when I told them it was wrong they said they would fix it and did the exact same thing again.
I love sonic, the #3 combo is by far the best fast food experience in the area as far as I am concerned about it 😋. I frequently have the limeade or even the cherry limeade. Sometimes French fries & often cheese tater tots. The paddy melt is one of my common choices as well. I love their fries pies , the chili is great and they really load it up with cheese. Plenty of onions on request I like that they will grill my onions for my burger if asked & happy to do it or so it seems.
I had the best experience that I have ever had at a Sonic establishment in over two decades. The staff was sensitive to my unique order; even to the point of coming to the car to verify accuracy, and following up with the food preparation team to provide my best experience ever at a Sonic restaurant. This will be my go to location going forward. The food was hot, tasty, timely, and delicious!
This is our regular stop for Tuesday half price burgers, happy hour drinks, and $99 cent corn dogs. Received such great service at this location and our food was hot fresh and served fast. You guys are doing a great job.
It's Sonic! I am so happy they added the in app tipping feature. What's even better is you can order 1/2 price drinks anytime in the app. This location is always on point and I've never had an issue with my order.

I love this location. The servers always have a smile and greet their customers in a friendly fashion. My toaster sandwich was HOOOOOOT, I had to let it cool down while I drove, so I ate the tots and drank my cherry limeade until I got to my destination, then enjoyed my sandwich. :)> I'm glad it wasn't cold on delivery.
I usually cringe when my workers pick Sonic for lunch since 95% of the ones I go to are simply awful with service. But this one is an exception. I was so happy with their service and actually getting things right that it's one of the few times in my entire life that I ever tipped a fast food.

Good service, order came out quickly and correct. My favorites are the cheesecake ice cream shake and limeades. The slushes, tater tots, and hot dogs are excellent, perfect for a quick meal or sweet treat. Half price drinks during happy hour and when you order through their app.

This location is referred to as "the good sonic" in Rowlett. Take that how you will. Food is always fresh, order is always right, and the employees seem to have a good attitude which is rare in food service these days. 10/10 as far as fast food goes.
My family and I enjoy coming to Sonic, and this location really stands out. My wife is a Sonic pro and says this is one of the faster spots around—and she’s right! Service is always quick, and that makes a big difference when you’re on the go. For me, the Smash Burgers are a favorite. They come out hot and fresh, and I can’t help but order one every time we stop by. At the same time, Sonic is really all about the drinks for us. My son and I always get our go-to Cherry Sprite, and it’s just a fun tradition we’ve built together. Service is fast freindly and just outright awesome I'm only leaving a 4star because my cheesesteak barely had any meat but plenty of peppers.
The food was decent. We got it quickly, and, it was lunch time. And, the prices weren't too bad. The staff was friendly.
It's a good quality Sonic. The food is fast and the drinks taste great. Plus, you can't beat happy hour drinks and half price shakes after 8. Terrible for a diet, but good as an occasional treat.
Ashley was great and friendly. Food is hot and crispy. Just the wait time is a bit long but I can see the crew is working their tails off. They are understaffed.

Got the Chicken Finger Meal with their Real Fruit Slush. The slushie was 10/10, loved the strawberry bits in there. Chicken was good, as were the Tots. Service was a little slow, as there were only 4 cars in the lot. That said, I would go again.
I specially asked for no cheese (twice) and it was repeated back to me...giving the benefit of the doudt, I didn't check my food...I pulled off...and I had cheese! I was the only customer there...I tipped after I paid w/my card...
Wasn't used to the way Sonic has changed . Seems if you want the food fast you can get it that way just find the correct car booth. Really tasty in Wylie, so so in Rowlett on the next day.
I love Sonic. The only reason I give them a 4 at this location is because they are in need of a few more servers. I often have to wait when I place an order ahead of time. They frequently have 1 server, which is trying their best to get everyone served, so there is a wait.
My family and I love going to sonic. I think the commercials are a bit odd, but the food is great. My household lives on Route 44 teas of all sorts and styles. I do wish that Sonic would stop using styrofoam for their cups though. They are not very sturdy, they get holes poked into them super easy and I would rather see a recyclable option for the cups. This location is great at service and the food is what you order about 9 out of 10 times. No one is perfect, but they are pretty close.
Prep is Better at I30 and Broadway, if you remember the old school making Root Beer Flurry, This isn't the spot. Definitely avoid 205 Rockwall near Ace Hardware.
Usually this location is my preference, but they have been disappointing on my last few visits. Drinks mixed incorrect with little flavor and less than quality food.
Convenient location to grab a snack after Taekwondo right across the street. We ordered at the walk up kiosk and sat at the available tables. The reason for 3 stars because I asked for an extra ranch which we did not receive. Ordered tater tots and received french fries instead.
The service was good and it was almost 11 pm . The hamburger was plain and just not flavored. Fries thumb down. It's just not worth it for me. I should have gone somewhere else.
I love a good Sonic coney and tater tot as much as the next person does.. But at times this particular location is hit or miss. They get it all they way at times, good tempt, fresh tasting and everything.. at other times the fries are cold and the tota are hard and stale. I love the pickle fries and I tried this location 3 different times and it was a miss every time.. The Slushies/Frozen Lemonade and Blasts are my #1 go to for this location.. Not food.. I have to buy for a family of 5.
Please teach the cook how to make a hot dog. My footlong coney had so much chili it was soggy ( chili on the bottom of the bun, chili on both sides of the bun and chili on top) Maybe a tablespoon of onions and a teaspoon of cheese and that was on one side only. Couldn’t find any mustard even though I asked for mustard and onions. The last few times it has been this way. So basically I had a wiener and a bun loaded up with gobs of chili. This Sonic used to make the best hot dog ever. Not anymore.
I came to sonic to get my favorite strawberry sundae and the whipped cream only had these two little teaspoons size servings. My waitress was extremely accommodating. However, the manager Antoinnette charged me to get the rest of the whip cream that was supposed to come on my Sunday, possibly the wrong person is in the management position at this one.
Happy Hour drink prices from 2-4 for the win! I always get the Route 44 Diet Cherry Limeade. This time, got a large tots for my daughter and there's just something extra special about fried tots compared to the baked version at home. During the freeze they were the only place open... Even with a limited menu at the time (no fries or tots), I was impressed by how good it was. The Chili Cheese Coney is a nice treat!
Ordered smash burger, watch I received wasn’t a smash burger and was the worst food I’ve ever gotten from a sonic. The fries were also bad but at least they were cooked correctly
Ordered the new Oreo caramel masterblast. I didn't taste 1 drop of caramel!! And they gave me the smallest straw they could find and no spoon!
EXTREMELY SLOW. Sonic means fast, they make the name look bad. They also seem so bored taking orders. They could not figure out how to process my payment 5 times. Ridiculous.
Great job team My advice for the manager "Antoinette " is to start being a woman of your word, & that you shouldn't leave people Wondering especially when you've told the person Multiple times that you would get back to them because at the end of the day Employed or not I am still a customer. Last but not least just because I am TRANSGENDER doesn't mean I am not capable of working at your establishment and It's like as soon as you seen me the face you gave was as if I disgusted you, but in conclusion I just would like you to Be more professional, until then I will be spending my money elsewhere.
William was very rude. He kept correcting me while ordering, even tho he knew what I wanted. Basically told me I wasn’t ordering correctly bc I didn’t say the full name of an item on the menu. I’ve never had this experience at this location. Will be using the app from here on out
As a general rule, I'm a fan of Sonic! I truly am! But this specific Sonic location has a very real problem that I hope District Management will address soon. This specific location seems understaffed as the service is very slow and the quality of the food is very below average for the chain. I made the mistake of stopping here 2 times in the last month and b9th visits were the same. Greasy food that was over salted and missing ingredients. If you are craving Sonic, go to a different location....for your own sake.
Take the time and drive to the one on Dalrock! This place is hot or miss.Every time I go there it's something. Today they weren't even busy we ordered a slush and a milkshake. They didn't make what I asked for and neither drink was even blended. The flavoring on both drinks was just sitting on top. So it was just another lousy experience from the Rowlett sonic!
This place needs a major upgrade. A good clean scrub down outside & updated menus. My drink wasn't carbonated at all. It was flat & my pretzel twist was hard & dried out. As if it wasn't fresh to order for the day. I normally order from another Sonic but gave this one a try....I won't be back to this location unless they turn this place around.
This location has never been good but now it's even worse. Didn't even receive the kids toys and was not informed they were out. The drinks used to be good now they are watered down and taste weird. No real lime or strawberry in the drinks we ordered. My chicken sandwich tasted as though it was sitting under the heat lamp.
Rude as hell I don't recommend. The guy who took my order was named William. I'd like some sort of compensation for this bull. After he arrived with my food I was told that I ordered a lot when I only ordered 2 combos
Was just told they no longer have the tuesday after 5pm special of half priced burgers unless i use the sonic app to order it. What difference does it make? You should still offer the same deal app or not. Not everyone has a smart phone.. People like my elderly grandma cant get the deal now because she doesnt use a smart phone or the sonic app?
Got sent away and had to give food back because they said they couldnt take a split payment (half cash half card) when I do it at other Sonics all the time and the kid wouldnt even go inside to try. Ridiculous never coming back to this location
Save yourself time and frustration and do not go to this location. Over the last 3-6 months this location is went way downhill. They can’t get anything right or on time. Never an apology. The customer service there, if that’s what you want to call it is zero to none.
Ice cream machine doesn’t work Didn’t have cash so we had to take our food back ridiculous.
If you have mobile coupons, use then LAST. The last 2 times I've been here, I would tell them about my coupon and then they would complete the order without even asking if I wanted to order anything else. I voiced my concerns saying that I would like to order more food, and each time they proceeded to say "oh well".
My little one and I came here after school. It took forty minutes for someone to come on the speaker after I clicked the red button. I thought about leaving but at that point we had waited that long and it seemed silly not to at least get what we had waited for. After ordering it took another twenty mins. So overall it was an hour for icecream and a wrap.
Ordered online. Waited 20 minutes. We finally pushed the service button. The staff said they would not be taking orders for at least one hour. We'd have to come back in an hour. We told them this was an online order. Waited another 20 minutes. This place needs to close.
Not good and almost always burnt food. They have gone down down and will only do half price burgers Tuesday on the app that they have been doing forever in person is no longer. Not very nice staff either. Just seems no self care

I only go for ice at Sonic. The last time I ate at a Sonic I was charged extra for requesting a few extra jalapenos on a breakfast burrito that came with jalapenos and when paying for the food I advised them since the manager insisted on the added fee that I would never come back for food and that was over 20 years ago. Hope everyone else has a better experience.
Ordered online about 6:30 which is 30 minutes after opening. Showed up to the restaurant and not a single person working and lights out. Will I be able to get a refund?
We are faithful to all Sonic Drive Ins all over Texas but this one wanted to argue that they put a"fair" amount of cheese on our large tots. We politely thanked them & won't be back. The customer is always right within reason & I felt like we were within reason when only a few tots had cheese & we were charged for it.
Ordered 5 packets of groovy sauce with the meals and did not get even one packet in the bag. I don't understand how basic order details get missed when they are very clearly listed.
I just waited over 15 minutes for 2 hot dogs, a corn dog, and drinks. You would think with such a long wait we'd have hot food but my hot dog was still refrigerated. So avoid this location you'll have an excruciating wait for ice cold food....BTW they weren't even busy. There were like 2 other cars there.

Ordered and paid on app, got there and they said they already gave the order to another person. No communication, nobody knew what was going on and I’m stuck with a 40 dollar charge I need to dispute now. Very dirty and run down.

Went there to purchase 52 gift cards for the end of school for some local schools and William helped us. The whole experience was weird. Before we could decide what we were gonna do he came knocking on the window vs us just pushing the button like normal. Then he takes the order and brings out and didn’t have any sleeves to put them in. Which he should have stated before proceeding. ( only because we wanted to write thank you notes on the sleeve of the GC’s.he brought them out in a brown bag with receipts just thrown in there ( there were 52 of them) and when I was shocked and told him next time it would be better to hand the receipts directly to the customer he shrugged his shoulder and responded in the most sassiest way possible. He was rude and needs proper customer service training.
William is a sorry manager. I ordered through the app 4 small slushies during happy hour 2-4 I get there and my server comes out to let me know the machine is down and the best thing they can do is swap my small slushies out for small drinks? Not even upsized drinks or a coupon to redeem for slushies on my next visit for the inconvenience. Instead he says that’s the point of giving you the SMALL regular drinks instead of slushies. So I asked to be refunded the drinks then which they did and happily took there drinks back. I wish I had known there was no slushies during the time I ordered so I could have made arrangements to go to the other sonic in rowlett but then the time was 4pm and I wouldn’t make it for happy hour
Sonic is becoming more and more stingy with everything from fries to tater tots to toppings on a hamburger. Just paid $14 42 burgers and a large fries and a Coke and this is what they send out for fries supposedly a large......( see photo )..... it's just barely over half full and cost almost $4

My advice: CHECK YOUR ORDER BEFORE LEAVING. Foods usually good but their employees seem to have trouble listening to or comprehending very basic orders. Ex.. ordered garlic bacon cheeseburger w no mayo, I got a double meat cheeseburger w mayo. No garlic butter, no bacon, no grilled onions. Ridiculous, This is the third time in a row that this has happened so it's time to leave some negativity. My order was once again wrong and if I would not have waited literally 21 min for a wrong order I would have addressed it but didn't have another 20min to waste for correction. Again food always good but they hire incompetent ppl. Not ppl that make a mistake every now and then like we all do but 3x in a row is a safe assumption it's purely incompetence at this point. Sad thing is I even tipped for this incompetence
Saturday night after Christmas around 7:00 p.m. when to get to route 44 fruit slushies how was helped by a white gentleman and he was very helpful while making my slushies he ran out of strawberries a tall mixed ( black/white/hisp) fellow with a lot of hair everywhere came out the back with a big bag of strawberries he proceeded to open it up with his mouth biting the bag of strawberries tearing the plastic bag with his mouth and lips! Wen white gentleman brought it out to me I refuse the drinks because of that he apologized said he completely understand and made 2 more with a different container of strawberries but they didn't throw the ones out the tall black guy with a lot of hair used his mouth in saliva to open. There was only two employees working the whole time I was there the white guy and the girl but they had four employees on the shift
The person that was serving me did not give me all my change back. When I ask about it, she looked at me like I was funny. That's not very funny. I told her she talked herself out of a tip. So if they keep the change they are stealing from the customer, not the thing to do
They make the shakes wrong every single time, whatever you order, you'll never actually get what you order
Please do not offer products your workers can't make. I just got a dirty Dr pepper and it takes like caramel. Not sure what was put in it. Why are you putting lemons??
Emily was the carhop i believe. Terrible service. Tater tots were unsalted and my food was intentionally delayed because i declined to tip on my card when I have $2 in my wallet that i needed to get rid of. When I asked for ketchup she gave me a sly smile and said "Sorry we are out". Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to eat
I wouldn't recommend ordering food from this location They fail to follow food safety guidelines. Some workers prepare your ready-to-eat food with their bare hands. Also, I have seen workers touch their phones, faces, and hair while preparing a customer's food. I have also seen some workers contaminate a customer's order because they were annoyed by the customer. My recommendation is that some employees learn how to treat a customer properly and handle food properly.
I order from the Sonic app pretty frequently. I ordered iced tea with easy ice from the location on Lakeview Parkway in Rowlett. When they brought the tea, all the ice had melted so I asked for a cup of ice and they refused to bring me any unless I paid extra for it! I went back and forth with the employee explaining that I got no ice in my drink in the first place and she refused to bring me ice. That is such lousy customer service! I am so annoyed by this and will take my business elsewhere from now on.
I ordered two drinks, sat and waited for 15 minutes while I saw everyone around me get their orders. Finally asked and they just hadn't even put my order in and I had to do the whole thing again. Amazing.
I submitted an order for pickup at the Rowlett store online. The order was accepted. I drove to the store confirmed the stall number. Within the app, it says your order is on the way. I waited and realized I have been sitting 20 minutes. I finally get out and go to the door. There is an 8x10 sheet of paper with the following, "we are closed for remodeling" this is not an emergency move. Why would they continue to accept money and orders. There is only a number for the store. There is nit an opportunity to reach out to the app for a refund or to alertcthem they are taking orders for a closed location. This is ridiculous. I am losing patience with the call ahead apps. The same happened with Popeyes. They saw the store was closed and said they would give an 18.00 credit. The credit never occurred.
I had ordered a medium fry and small blue raspberry slush. Waited over 45 minutes before leaving without my order. I asked for a refund after waiting 15 minutes & the young lady nor the young man attended me! Very disappointed in the service. I understand they may have been short staffed but multiple vehicles who ordered after me left with their orders! I had even placed a mobile order & had seen my status as completed when I checked in!!!
Terrible experience last night at the Sonic in Rowlett. Placed order at 9:36pm. Got order to the car at 10:10…which was already a long wait. Noticed missing large tot. No big deal…pressed button…they got it to car at 10:20…so food was already cold got home only to find out NONE of the 3 burgers were right. The kids burger that should’ve been plain with cheese and mayo had everything on it and also NO MEAT!! Like how is that possible? Attaching a pic. The other photo attached should’ve been a bacon cheeseburger. Not a patty melt. Super disappointing. Called last night no one answered called this morning same issue.
