This was was such a delight! I absolutely love the food and how appreciative the chef/cooks were with the ingredients. Waiter Dan was so warm and provided exceptional service. Definitely would come back

Food was fantastic. First course: we had the onion knot and English muffin Pate. Only note was the ricotta could have used a pinch of salt, but given health concerns for some people I understand limiting sodium. Second course: we had the Speck Ham and Beef Tartare. Usually Beef Tartare is a winner everywhere but the Speck Ham absolutely blew it out of the water. Which is not to say the Tartare was bad by any right. The Speck Ham is just to die for and will certainly have me coming back. I should note we checked with our server as fish allergies are important for us, the Tartare does contain Worcestershire Sauce so if you are allergic to fish be aware. Third Course: we had the Pumpkin Tortaleni and the Green Oak Leaf Lettuce, both were so fantastic we forgot to take pictures. Definitely take you server's advice on the Oak Leaf and mix the salad with the fig cream beneath as it makes the dish absolutely wonderful. Fourth Course: we had the Oxtail Spätzle and the Porck Chop. Both were fantastic entrees. My only real note is I wish I had some bread for the pork chop since the juice from the pork chop mixes with the demi glace /au jus and I just want to have something to wipe it up so I don't have to lick the plate clean. Our server Dan was absolutely fantastic, he help accommodate our time constraints to the best of his ability. We put in our note we need to be somewhere at seven, the realized we needed to leave earlier. 10/10 service for sure.

What a GEM! We have dined at Joan’s in the Park a few times over the past couple of years. This is by far one of the BEST restaurants in the Twin Cities! Recently went for our anniversary, and let me tell you, this place continues to overdeliver! Absolutely fantastic experience! The service is amazing, the food is good, and you really feel like the staff love their jobs and love having you. The setting is incredibly intimate. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a quiet and low-key (but still special) celebration! The filet, pork chop, heirloom tomatoes, and brown butter pudding dessert were the highlights of the meal!

Nice, quiet and upscale dining experience. Food was excellent and drinks are top notch. I had the best old fashioned ever at this place! In additionI. The filet mignon is among the best in town: flavorful and cooked per your specs ie order medium rare and you will get medium rare.

Enjoyed great service by Dan and the food was tasty. Definitely a great special dinner kind of place. Went for my husband’s and my birthday and they added cute decor to the table and nice extra treats throughout the night.

Great experience with the 4 course meal. Delicious food and would suggest the poached shrimp, beef tartare, and the brown butter pudding. No wrong choices for the menu.

You need to eat here. Joan has been there every time and even makes time for a quick hug if you're that kind of person. The food is unfailingly awesome, and the ambiance is simultaneously lovely and comforting.

Must visit restaurant! We visited on a trip to Minneapolis and it was the best meal we had the entire week. The tasting menu was a delight of flavors that popped in your mouth - and we followed it up with scrumptious desserts and coffee. The previous week we were in NYC, ate a Butter and Gato and this restuarant was on that level and the tastes were even better. The picture is the corn dumplings from the 3rd course.

This was a perfect meal to share with my wife. The service was personal and efficient. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. I cannot wait to go again.

Truly a dining experience like no other. The food is delicious - I eat the steak every single time I go because it is my favorite food in the world. I'm pretty sure everything on their menu is made from scratch and every flavor is perfect. They take such care and pay such huge attention to the details. The wine pairings are out of this world, and it's such a luxury to turn off my brain and just know that every sip will be perfect. And the service is the warmest, most competent and most genuine service I have ever experienced. You will feel cared for without feeling smothered, and they will go above and beyond to make sure you are enjoying every moment.

What a beautiful location! My wife and I enjoyed their hospitality while celebrating my birthday. Interior and patio seating are available. The staff, the atmosphere of genuine service, and the incredible quality of the food options on their four-course menu are amazing and delicious. Excellent presentation. Worth every cent. I highly recommend the chocolate cake for dessert. Phenomenal.

Without a doubt the best service I have ever received at a restaurant. Food was also incredible, and very reasonably priced for the quality. The masa corn dumplings and lamb were particular standouts.

An Absolute Wonderful Dining Experience !!! My partner and I were visiting St Paul and chose " Joan's " as a place to go for dinner with a good friend. We wanted a place where we could visit easily without a lot of restaurant noise. Also, naturally, we wanted a place that has good food and service. " Joan's in the Park " scored 5++++++ stars on every level !!! The Host was great upon entering. Our Server was " Jen ". What a professional, yet personable attendant !! From start to finish she made us feel welcome. She was thorough in her offering of the menu selections. She was attentive, without being intrusive, in checking to see if there was anything we needed. The food was , well let's just say " Superb in every Course, and sufficient in size ! We all left the restaurant very pleased. My advice to anyone looking for a great dining experience in the Twin Cities, is Definitely do yourself a favor a get a reservation at " Joan's in the Park ". You won't be sorry !!

If you would like a restaurant where it feels like it is all about you, definitely try this place. We had our anniversary dinner here on a Thursday night and it was an amazing experience. Definitely write down on your reservation that it is your anniversary. Our server Makenna was extremely attentive, knowledgeable and on top of things. The food was great, service was awesome and the atmosphere is very romantic for our night. We had the Cheese bread, Viennese pastry, Steak Tartare, Cavatelli, Papardelle, Shrimp, Duck Breast and the fish special which was a yellowfin tuna surrounded by goodness. For drinks they gave us complimentary bubbler for our anniversary, which was delicious and I had The Liza, a gin based drink that was very nice and refreshing. Great time overall and we definitely will come back :)

Usually a tasting menu has one or two courses that are a miss. Every course here is so good that I’ve come twice in the last month. Ha! With so many choices to dine in the Twin Cities, this place will be our choice for special occasions going forward! The service, cozy ambience, quality cuisine executed with precision and grace, are pure perfection. Supporting small business and love the two passionate female owners—dynamic duo! Joan's provides a truly exceptional dining experience. Everything on the menu is excellent. The presentation of each dish is superb as is the flavor. Service was fantastic. It's a small restaurant so I'd recommend reservations. It's expensive but well worth it.

We had never heard of Joan’s but it popped up when I was searching for a tasting menu with availability on our anniversary. So glad we went! Everything felt very thoughtful. From taking our photo and printing it for us and cute heart confetti on the table, to how well the wine pairings worked with each dish. The atmosphere was unpretentious and cozy, and we could there’s a lot of love put into the place. It was also surprisingly affordable compared to other tasting menus we’ve done in the past. We will be back!

I have read many reviews about what an awesome place Joan’s in the Park is. They are all true! The staff, food, service, and ambiance. Joan stopped by to welcome us and then just to chat. My wife and I both had different food choices and everything was wonderful. Highly recommend this wonderful Place for dinner

No hyperbole, my experience at Joan's in the Park was probably the best restaurant experience I've ever had in my life. The setting was nice and intimate, the menu options were good and varied, and every dish was downright spectacular; I'd say each one was better than the last, but that'd be a disservice to how well put-together every single course is. My final course though was the filet mignon, and that was perfect. Not to mention the service! It was fantastic from start to finish, and I even got to briefly chat with one of the owners, who was great. Highly, highly recommend; definitely coming here again the next time I'm in town!

Just got home from the BEST experience at Joan’s in the Park! The immediate warm welcome, exceptional service, cozy atmosphere, and the most incredible food- everything start to finish was a 10/10! Cannot recommend this place enough- family owned and operated, all wonderful people and they make you feel welcomed & right at home from the moment you walk in❤️ Already looking forward to our next visit!

Joan’s is a staple in our household. We go to Joan’s for birthdays, anniversary’s, and anytime we just really need the best meal in town. It’s the place we recommend to every single person who asks where to eat for special events. Highly recommend the wine pairing as well, they are VERY generous with it, so be prepared to really feel it. We keep coming back, and hopefully can continue to come back for 50 more years.

The food couldn’t be more perfect, the wine was one of the best we have had, the atmosphere was too tier, the service was better than I’ve ever had. Small, intimidate dining area. A little loud on the patio and be prepared to spend 1 1/2 - 2 hours dining. But, the wait is worth it because the food is fresh and flavorful.
