Heard about this place on a local morning newscast that was highlighting small neighborhood eateries. The wife and I decided to give it a try that same evening. Wow! This gem of a food establishment exceeded our expectations. While it’s located in an older San Antonio area strip mall, don’t let the outside appearance deter you. My wife and I both had the cheeseburger and shared a large order of fries. The burgers were tasty, juicy, and just the right size. The buns were fresh and lightly toasted (just how I like them). The fries did leave a little to be desired, but were otherwise okay. They were freshly fried and had a perfect crunch to them. We both ordered fountain drinks and had no issues in that department. The indoor ambiance was simple and clean. When we were there, there were only about 8 other people in the restaurant and still plenty of available seating. The inside is what you might expect of a typical, low-key burger joint. They were playing some electronic music on the overhead speakers, which might be odd to some, but I could care less since I like that genre of music and was there to eat a great burger. Let’s talk staff and service now. A+ all around! The gentleman who took our order was polite and helpful, as was the young man who delivered our food to the table. From order to when we received our food, it took about 10 minutes total. Not bad in my opinion considering the food was hot and fresh when it arrived. The owner made his rounds during our time there and stopped by our table to check in. Very nice gentleman! We gave him praise and chatted with him for a few minutes. During our conversation, my wife and I both learned the restaurant had been there since 2008. I was shocked! I’ve lived in San Antonio my entire life and although I had heard of the restaurant by name, we had never tried this place or been anywhere in that shopping center before. All that said, if you’re in the area of Fredericksburg Road and Wurzbach Road, and you’re craving a great burger, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. I have a feeling you won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in for the first time. Was not disappointed..The bugers are huge and tasty! I had the Gyro..make sure to request feta..they have it. Was super good and satisfying. The onion rings are humongous and soo crispy! So delicious! This is a cute spot to get ur burgers and fresh. I highly recommend it! Very clean restaurant! I met the owner Rohit! So sweet and excellent customer service!! He made the experience that much better! What are you waiting for stop in grab a bite or get it to go! You will not be disappointed!! Sorry no pictures..we were that hungry! Lol

I've come to this place several times and the food is always hot, yummy and fresh. The service is very polite, kind and welcoming. I placed an order online about 30 minutes ago and a young man named Anthony actually called me to let me know my order was ready. I can say I don't remember any other place doing that. Will definitely be coming back.

This place should be called, "First Class Burger" because the entire experience was first class. This was my first visit and it was amazing! SAB is the only place I know of in SA to get a BISON burger, (Fuddruckers had a bison burger but they closed in SA). I added yummy blue cheese crumbles to my burger. My bison burger, sweet potato fries, onion rings and 1/2 & 1/2 tea were so fresh & delicious! The portions were so large, I needed a to-go box before I even started eating. The service was very friendly, fast and accurate. The jovial new owners are onsite. They greet and chat with every customer who comes in. I could tell the new owners genuinely love their customers. The music is very cool and fun to listen to! Everything was comfortable and very clean. Very affordable, especially for a bison burger! So glad we came to eat at San Antonio Burger. I am looking forward to my next visit!!

Very casual atmospher counter service. I found this place when in the area for an appointment. I am so GLAD we stumbled in. The service was friendly and welcoming. The facilities are a little aged but very clean and cared for. The food is definitely the star of the show. We ordered the avocado burger and a Gyro. Service was fast but clearly prepared with quality ingredients and attention to detail. Hands down one of the best Gryo wraps I have eaten. The house made tzatziki sauce is incredible.

Husband wanted a burger and I didn't feel the regular fast food go to places. Found this place and no regrets. My avocado burger with onion rings was so delicious. Husband had a cheese burger with sweet potato fries and enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere was quiet being it was only us in the restaurant. But the pickup orders were frequent and they deliver as well with in seven miles. The oweners and employee were very friendly and kind. They have other items that look delicious and I can't wait to go back with my family and try something else. If you want great food a home style burger, wings, Philly cheese steak, mozzarella sticks and more stop by and dine in or pickup to go. You won't regret 🥰🥰🥰

We happened upon this place and stopped in. Boy are we glad we did. The food was fantastic. I got the jalapeno pepper jack bacon burger. The picture says it all! It was very filling and yummy. My wife got the avocado burger which she said was great. The price was beyond fair. This isn’t a place to sleep on.

Stopped by after an appointment and this fun hole-in-the-wall hit the spot. Diner style burgers and excellent tater tots. The older fiesta posters from the late 1900s (as the kids say) was awesome to see too 🥳🤩

Came here for a burger and saw some other reviews of the chili cheese fries so you know I had to try those…5 star on those for sure! Best I’ve ever had. Had too come back a second night for another round. Cool place and service is top notch. Jas is a cool guy! Super nice!

Burgers were nice n juicy. Great flavor had the bacon burger and the mushroom burger both were very good. Ordered the mozzarella sticks standard but nice n hot. Ordered a mini corn dog appetizer they were so good and I think the honey mustard was homemade. The star of this whole meal was the sweet tea! It was super sweet 😋 This place is a must!

Do you like a friendly, inexpensive, basic burger grill that also does gyros and makes pretty good shakes? Look no further than San Antonio Burger! Their menu prices look like they never experienced the pandemic, they're still charging what they did back in the early 2000s. All main entrees were below $10! I had the San Antonio Cheese steak for $7.50. Add fries and a drink for $3.50. Our party also tried the Avocado Burger with sweet potato fries and the Double Double with loaded (bacon and cheddar) fries. They use pretzel style buns which are delicious! Also had a cookies and cream milkshake. Next time, I'll try their wings. Service on a Tuesday night was very prompt and super friendly. Order at the window, but they'll bring your food to you at your table. We really enjoyed San Antonio Burger!

The burgers are good (tasty and juicy), and the service is very friendly. The toppings are fresh, but it's not my favorite burger in town. I'll check them out again and try the gyros. I think it's a good locally owned joint, but I wouldn't brag about their burgers.

If i could give 0 stars i would. My family and i went to go eat here yesterday, with high hopes in trying out a new restaurant. We went in and started ordering and once we sat down we had a gentleman come in the restaurant and he kindly asked for help with $2 paying for some food as he explained his situation of course we wanted to help. I’m assuming the owner overheard and made it seem like he was bothering customers but we tried saying no we got it it’s not an issue but he made us and the man feel very uncomfortable. They still made him pay the little bit of change he had , we were just going to pay for his meal so he can save what little he had , and that’s what we thought the owner was going to do too but no. The service wasn’t great & the food wasn’t great either. The poor homeless man’s food was terribly cooked he had fish and it was 70% breading than fish. They treated him very poorly. Our wings were undercooked and had no sauce, and our burgers were overcooked. We had told the gentleman to join us at church today for services and he showed up and told us everything that had also happened. Very disappointing. Don’t judge people you don’t know their situation. If we obviously had an issue with the man bothering us we would’ve said something to the owner. Don’t recommend coming here.

Every time I order from here, I order my cheeseburger with several condiments and make sure to list it for them. They ALWAYS give me a burger with no cheese and no condiments. Just the meat and bun. I mean, a “cheese” burger is supposed to have cheese right? Not to these guys. Not a lot of brains at this operation apparently. Rohit, I went back and looked at my order, I definitely selected mayo, asked for no mustard, no pickles, no lettuce. I didn’t ask for any other toppings to be removed. What I received was a burger patty and two buns. No condiments whatsoever. I’m guessing that seemed normal to you. This has happened multiple times and you’re not taking responsibility for it, so to me, that is not caring about the customers satisfaction.
