I had no idea this gem was here. Wandered in looking for food in the area and left with a new favorite place! Tried The Upstream and The Tone City with the French onion soup. It was AMAZING! Dip your sandwich in the onion soup and be happy. 🤤 Will be coming again soon to try the other sandwiches on the menu!

We are recurrent customers and we love this sandwich shop!! My go-to is the italiano, but anything else we have tried has met above our expectations. The owners are even remember our order whenever we come in, very warm and welcoming place! PSA always try the soup of the day, my favorite is the French onion and can’t forget their scrumptious cookies for something sweet 🤭

MUST GO!!! We loved loved LOVED it here!!! Great Food, Amazing Service, and over all Spectacular place!!!! HIGHLY recommend!! We work nights so we get up later than most, so when we decided to do a cute date day with a sandwich shop or cafe, most were closed. This lovely shop however was still open till 6, which we got there at 5- we felt really bad and were worried since we were cutting it close- but the second we walked through the door we were immediately greeted by (Arthur? That was the name on the receipt I believe) the gentleman with the cool orange glasses. Not only were we greeted, but he immediately striked up conversation with us about how he used to own a snow cone shop and it was very endearing. He was already wiping down the inside of the back, pre-closing- so I was still worried since we were literally the only ones in there on a late Thursday- but that didn’t deter him one bit. He continued to recommend and talk about the menu until we decided. Which ofc he continued to talk with us throughout the whole process. We sit down and as we’re waiting for the food (which is FRESH) we notice how clean it is! Like- dusted clean. They also have a 100 from the health inspector! Then- The food arrives (by the sweet and amazing Arthur ofc) and you guys- So GOOD!!! I got the Herb Royale while my partner got the special of the day- a spicy Philly sandwich (each with a side salad) and it was all sooooooo good!!! Even just the dressing for the salads, much less the actual sandwiches. When my partner took a bite of my sandwich he was so jealous haha- and not because his was bad or anything (after he finished his he actually had a tummy ache because he finished it so fast because “it was so good” lol)- but he said mine was the “best sandwich he’s ever had!” haha. Throughout our time eating Arthur came to check on us multiple times, while also recommending their special chocolate chip brownies. There was also some regulars who came in who we originally thought were either fellow coworkers or family/friends from how friendly they were with each other. The food was also incredibly filling- like I said my partner had a tummy ache afterwards haha and I took mine home (which I just had as a leftovers and it was good reheated as well!) (make sure to wrap in damp paper towels depending on what it is ). We haven’t tried the brownie yet unfortunately- because we were so full- but we just had to get it because Arthur kept talking about it and even mentioned how the chef was saying they looked extra good today. He even asked us if we wanted a side, corner, or center piece!!! Even though we haven’t tried it, it felt and smelled like it would be amazing- I don’t even like brownies that much but I can’t wait to eat it! When we left even the chef wished us a good day along with Arthur!! It was so sweet and kind of even the BOH to wish us well and we were able to compliment his food in kind- because he definitely deserved all the compliments. So- sorry for the incredibly long review- if anyone else ever takes the time to actually read it lol- but just know this place is a must-go, for both the exceptional food and service. We are so appreciative of Arthur and the chef that started our date day with such an adoring and rememberable start. There's a thousand sandwich shops in San Antonio, but this one stands out just with pure flavor. Amazing salads, house made cured ham sandwiches, and soups made from scratch. The only other thing I can say is the staff is amazing and welcoming.

This place is off the charts amazing! Succulent pork belly, fresh bread, crisp sunomono, the pork belly Bahn Mi was a work of art. The craftsmanship of the sandwiches themselves is something to admire(they cure their own ham yall!), Arthur's service, warm, welcoming, and incredibly informative, along with the kind regulars, made us feel right at home. It's obvious why the place has such a high rating with so many reviews. Keep up the incredible, passionate work, we'll definitely be back!

Arguably the best hole in the wall restaurant in San Antonio. The sandwiches from this place are next level good. Taste you'd only expect from a 2-3 star French restaurant from France. It's hard to understate how good this restaurant is. Despite me traveling the world and sampling food everywhere, this little joints sandwiches are still up there The photo is the Pork Belly sandwich on a toasted butter bun with pickled red onions and a side cesear salad The bread is freshly made everyday and all items come with chips, soup or salad for a reasonable price ! $8-11 10/10 would recommend

Ordered the Italiano the way it comes. My meal was immaculate, way better than some other deli’s I have tried for sure. The atmosphere is also very nice and chill, I would like to point out that the service was comforting and fun!

I could go on and on about how much I love this little family-owned treasure. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and love everything I’ve had. But I wanted to tell you, my friends, that this is my go-to place for amazingly flavorful and beautiful salads. I’m telling you this because the name Sandwich de Paris tells you nothing of the wonderful salads featured at this place which I think is the best sandwich shop in town. Skip your franchise and make the effort to come to the medical center and see why this place has been here for 30+ years.

On my quest to support local and with my daughter's recommendation (she's been here before), we came here and I gotta say I had the most delicious sandwich ever! Mine was the Tsukemono and daughter had the Avocado Chicken. She loved hers as well. The tomato soup is amazing too! Service is great, Arthur kept us laughing. Just hurry up and try it.

Amazing flavor combinations, always fresh and hot. The daily specials are so good every time, “Dem Boys” was probably the best sandwich I’ve had. My boyfriend has gone here for years, and started taking me since I moved here after college and we’ve just loved that they started serving food on weekends. I highly recommend the Tsukemono or the California Club, both are amazing.

Went to Sandwich de Paris. There was a sign saying they were short-staffed, which I understood. However, the person taking orders repeatedly announced this in a way that felt irritated and passive-aggressive. When it was my turn to order, I said, “I just want the French onion soup.” The man taking my order responded very rudely and said, “Don’t say ‘just.’ Like I was telling the lady on the phone, you aren’t the only one wanting soup.” I was honestly astonished. I laughed awkwardly to defuse the tension, but it was unnecessary and uncomfortable. Obviously I know I’m not the only customer.. I simply meant I was only ordering soup. The food itself was good, but the interaction left a bad taste in my mouth. I won’t be returning.
