Took my wife here for her birthday, we ordered Caesar Salads, pineapple teriyaki wings, calamari, and waffle fries, for drinks we had shots of don Julio and strawberry margaritas. The food was great and the drinks was on point to. If you never been to the ashford trust it’s worth the trip…

Went to The Ashford because I heard great things about their brunch and rooftop area. Conner,Kenny, Brandon thank you so much for your exceptional service! You made my birthday a very happy one and my friends & I really enjoyed ourselves! For food we tried the steak and eggs, the chicken and waffles, chicken sliders, and the hangover burger ! The hangover burger was the star of the show , it was flavorful and delicious! Brunch ends at 4 so get there early enough to order and to also enjoy their $3 mimosas! The hangover burger is available on the dinner menu as well. The rooftop was full when we initially tried to go up so we ended up eating on the main level and going up afterwards. It was beautiful weather and the DJ was playing great music, old and new hits! We enjoyed frozen drinks out of pineapples 🍍 I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at The Ashford! Thank you guys again !!

"Home of the $3 mimosa." I've visited The Ashford a bunch of times and I really love the overall vibe. The outside is currently decked out for the holidays and so is the inside. I love how they have a rooftop, full bar and seating all around. There's different levels such as the bar area (main floor), the upstairs seating is nice as you feel a little exclusive, then there's other areas on the top level before you get to the rooftop. Since I visited during the holidays, I tried a cocktail from their holiday menu and "The Elf in Jersey City" is my favorite. The pumpkin cream makes in it reminds me of a festive egg nog or coquito. For food, their caesar salad is pretty solid. My boyfriend really liked their chicken tacos too. I had to order the firecracker shrimp which comes with 4-5 medium size shrimp; it was delicious but I definitely needed two plates, haha! The fries are good too. In addition to good cocktails and food, the music is a mix of everything. Hip hop, R&B, Pop, Latin, etc. The music does get loud at night so if you're trying to have a heart to heart conversation, it's best to visit at another time. I never had bad service here either. You may wait a little long to get your servers attention but that's only if it's a very busy night. Our waitress gave us a gift card for waiting patiently which I thought was nice! For parking, we all know Jersey City's street parking is a gamble so if you're not trying to circle for a spot, there's a parking lot where Shake Shack is about a block or two away. Reserve it on the ParkWhiz app as it's cheaper. The Ashford is perfect for a night out, brunch and dinner. I always enjoy myself!

Ashford is amazing! I come here regularly and the servers/bartenders are so friendly and take great care of me. The managers are awesome and are top of everything constantly. The bouncers are super cool. The food is delicious! The burger sliders and tacos are my go-to. Also, the cocktails are so good! I 100% recommend this spot to everyone.

My first visit here wasn’t the best, but this time around completely made up for it. We were seated right away with no wait, and since the weather was nice, we chose to sit outside. The ambiance is solid—relaxed but lively. If you’re not on a date, I’d even suggest bringing a card game to pass the time. We happened to come on Taco Tuesday and didn’t even know it. The deal runs 7pm to close, with a 3-taco minimum across the board: • $2 chicken or steak tacos • $3 shrimp tacos • $4 short rib tacos • $5 Coronas / Modelos • $7 margaritas (regular, spicy, mango) • $7 Palomas I had two strawberry margaritas that were strong, smooth, and worth every dollar. To start, I ordered the crispy calamari—it came out fried perfectly, not chewy, just the right crunch. My friend had wings, and those were good too. But the highlight was definitely the chicken tacos. Served with onions, cilantro, and salsa verde, they were flavorful, filling, and cooked just right. I skipped the cheese and sour cream, but they still hit. We originally planned on entrées, but the tacos were so good and filling that we didn’t need more. It wasn’t overly crowded, the food and drinks hit the spot, and overall this visit left a much better impression. I’d definitely come back.

Super cool concept in town square with an awesome rooftop bar and eatery and cozy indoor spots to cozy up for food and drinks. The specials they have with drinks and appetizers is a great deal and the atmosphere rocks. Service is a bit hit or miss, as 9 had to hunt somewhere down anytime service was needed but overall a good time!

went on a Wednesday it was my second time here. I called a number of times to see if I needed a reservation no answer, when I arrived the security Guard sat us. He mentioned the host had called out. Honestly he gave the best assistance all night. The waitress did greet us within minutes but we asked questions because it was really our first dining experience. she left and didn't return for 25mins if not longer, I had to ask her was she still our waitress. the food was good nothing special. The different deals and specials listed on the menu was really cool and that alone made me and my friend want to return. The food was not bad at all but it was not really hot moreso warm. we liked the ambiance. If the service was better it would of been a great night the woman constantly walked past us and ignored us even when we asked for things. The restaurant was not busy she did not have a lot of tables either it just seemed as if she wasn't interested.

I've been here a few times. Each experience has worsened every visit. My last visit was for my birthday, in which I was challenged and lied to. The manager only backed down when I pulled up our emails. Despite doing things her way and not making a scene, our waitress was inattentive and cold. Our VIP area was away from the dance floor, but we had a lot of room and were comfortable. The atmosphere is pretty fun and the DJs they usually have playing are good. It is very hot in there and without a reserved spot, it is almost impossible to move. While I wouldn't book any special events here again, I wouldn't condemn it either. There are definitely better spots on the busy strip it is located on, but that's only because the service in other places is more professional and organized.

Booked a reservation for 10 and a few hours prior to me reservation I got hung up on so I can’t even confirm anything. This business runs like a dysfunctional family that doesn’t know what to do with their extended family visiting for the weekend. How do you have employees hang up in your own business. The customers are what bring you revenue. And you hang up like a teenage girl who’s arguing with her father. Unprofessional on every level. The aesthetic is what sells here everything else is just noise, highly don’t recommend. Get your staff right

This place is racist toward Black customers. I would not recommend this restaurant. During my visit, I experienced treatment that felt clearly discriminatory toward Black customers. The service was noticeably colder and slower compared to others, basic courtesy was lacking, and there was an overall atmosphere of disrespect that made me feel unwelcome. Restaurants are public-facing businesses. That comes with a responsibility to treat every customer with basic dignity. What I experienced here fell far short of that standard. Racism does not have to be explicit to be real. Differential treatment, dismissive attitudes, and exclusion speak loudly on their own. Until this place addresses its behavior and commits to treating all customers equally, I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend it to anyone who values respect and fairness.

Came here for a quick bite after work… food was ok, but the service was pretty bad. The waitress seem to be “on something” and it’s not the first time this happen to me. The quality of the service is just awful… had to ask for my check to the host multiple times… the waitress never checked on me. Also she passed in front of me and ignored me… she was kissing a guy. This is so disrespectful for me, I was in a rush to take my uber back home and they made me wait 10 mins to cash me out. Never coming back

I had one of the worst experiences at The Ashford on Saturday night. I went with a group of friends, and the place was extremely crowded. While my friend was dancing, he accidentally bumped into a server, and she immediately gave him a very dirty look. I calmly told her it was an accident and to relax, but then the manager jumped in, telling us to “calm down” and saying it wasn’t that serious. I explained that I was only trying to de-escalate the situation because the server’s reaction was unnecessary. Instead of listening, the manager approached my friend, who said there was nothing more to discuss. When the manager tried to touch his shoulder, my friend told him not to, and the manager then went to security, claiming he didn’t feel comfortable with us there. Security told us we would no longer be served and needed to leave. The entire situation felt unfair and uncomfortable, and honestly, We were a group of friends simply trying to enjoy our night, and instead we were treated with disrespect and made to leave for no valid reason. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone of color. After my experience, I went on TikTok and saw several other reviews from people of color describing similar situations at this place. That says a lot. I will never return and strongly advise others to think twice before supporting this establishment
