Awesome I just moved here from PHOENIX Az. And don't have a vehicle yet. And i needed some groceries and i live at on 20th st and decide to walk up to United grocery I'm diabetic and a bad leg.and ur waitress there was very very nice to let me use the bathroom not many places let u use the facilities and since i been here people r very hospitality like the south in PHOENIX is like Solomon and Gomorrah ur waitress name is Priscilla i thank her from the bottom of my heart i will keep her in mind. God bless u.thank u again.

Best chicken fried steak and burgers around. No pre-breaded, frozen, or cryovaced meat. Fresh, homemade and good is what you get at JJ's. Joy and Jody (the two J's that own it) are true west Texas treasures.

Juicy burgers and good prices. Lot to choose from was hard to decide, but had our minds set on a burger so our decision was faster then we thought.

Remember the old mom n pop burger places? This is it. They make your fries how you like them the burgers are so good, and the steak fingers are fantastic. Pretty reasonably priced. Worth the stop.

Driving through the area and called ahead for pick up order. We ordered a bacon cheeseburger, cheeseburger, potato skins, steak fingers and fries. Order was ready with in 20 mins of calling it in. Burgers were soo good and big patties! All portions were bigger than expected. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious!

Service was fast and friendly.........food was wonderful......onion strings are the best. The chicken fried steak is much better than many priced much higher. This is not a fancy place you go to to be seen but rather a place to go to share good food and visits with friends.

I went for dinner for a chicken fried steak dinner. And a sweet tea. And a side of toast. Was delicious. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. I enjoyed it too much.

Very good food here! My friend and I went in to check it out. Glad we did. Home cooking at it's finest and you just can't find that anymore! Good wholesome AMERICAN food! I don't know if I'll be that way again, but if I am, I'm stopping!!!

Great food ... plenty of open tables...great service...very clean...got there at a good time because they were getting busy before I left. Gotta try thier daily specials. Will be back again

While I probably won't go back because the smoke smell really got my allergies going, it shouldn't stop those who don't have that problem from stopping in for a bite.

Food was really good but I DON'T like the fact that it's a smoking restaurant. We had to move across the restaurant because a table of people were smoking. Not want I want, smoke in my face, while I'm trying to eat.

Very nice service. But half the restaurant has a smoking section — not cool for an eatery — and the chicken fried steak special was served with bland mashed potatoes and canned peas. That said, it was a good value. The white gravy was delicious and the iced tea was good.

Would have been perfect but there were flies all around the salad bar and there was a dead fly in one of the salad dressing. I brought it to their attention and all they did was cover it and continued to let customers eat from it

I read the reviews before ordering and chose the steak fingers with onion rings and a salad. The onion rings and salad were good but the batter on the steak fingers was too big for the meat itself and none of it stayed on. The few peices that managed to keep batter where very bland. If I go back I definitely won't be ordering the steak fingers.

Food was good but service was horrible. Our waitress was too concerned with hanging out of the drive through window chatting and carrying on full conversations with whoever was out there than to pay attention to her tables. At one point she had a 20 min conversation with someone out there. Never asked us even once if we needed anything or if everything was ok. Needless to say we never got any refills on our drinks either.

The onion rings and tortilla chips were really good. However, everything else was just "meh". There was a significant amount of flies buzzing around, and there were people smoking, which in itself is enough to make me not go back.

Im expecting the Best rabbit fries aka French bies aka rabbits foot this Easter... ad the hair Ball is said to come out perrtty Easey and yeah... AL these paid commentators seem to be all over it.. the 3 piece set and like attractig likes 👍 1 more and a poke and a 7up to make up your own... like grabbing a bite of nachos and they re all 1 bloody good nacho.. Say cheese 🧀

Missing items , fries not cook completely. Have usually had decent service here but lately it's getting worse. Girl working the counter was sweet but people in back seemed inconvenienced. There was only two customers so it wasn't like they were busy

My father-in-law heard good reviews and wanted to get dinner here a couple nights ago, the food smelled great from the outside but as soon as I entered the doors I was hit with cigarette smoke and couldn't breathe and could not get out fast enough. I don't know if that is a regular occurrence since it was our first time visiting there, but I'm not going to repeat that experience.

My husband and I went in there and my husband asked for a philly and we asked the waitress if the buns were hoagies or hot dog buns. Due to an experience a month ago and they clearly said they were hoagies. Well we get our food and his philly is served with a hot dog bun. The table was dirty there were dead flies in the window sill and you could see the back of the wall in the kitchen very dirty. Health department needs to be notified due to how this place looks. We will never go back again. Filthy and disgusting

Horrible service every time! Food isn't that great and it's not very clean inside. The attitude of the workers is pretty close to how you'll find the place. We'll just give the other restaurants in town service if we're going to get bad service all the time.

Pulled in at 7:15pm and all the lights were on and fans still turning but the door was locked. No sign or notice on the door stating that they had closed early. Unfortunate because their food is generally really good.

The waitstaff didn't check on us. Then I saw people smoking in there while I was eating my food I dont want cancer with my meal. I will never spend money in this place again. Yall should havr one of these in your establishment. Just Saying for us who don't want cancer.

When received my food the fries were old and burnt and my mother's hamburger steak was burnt and hard,I was told they would remake the fries and my mother's meal,well when I came back to pick up the new order I brought in my meal to show the owner how hard and burnt my fries were and she told me some people like them like that...these fries were so hard you could literally break it by just squeezing it...they need to get better cooks that know how to make a good meal and not burn the food so bad that you can't even eat or enjoy your meal..and the owner needs to learn how to be more polite and understanding when it comes to these kinds of things... definitely will NOT be coming here again !!! Total waste of time and money !!!
