The atmosphere at the restaurant is really pleasant, very clean, and beautifully decorated. The service was also excellent, and the food and drinks were amazing. There was just one small downside: since we were a group of twelve, they brought all the dishes at the same time, but some of them ended up cold or lukewarm. The intention was good, and the food was still delicious, but that little detail affected the experience a bit. ❤️ Thank you!

Capo Restaurant & Supper Club is a true gem for Italian cuisine lovers! The food is absolutely top-notch—rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. From the appetizers to the main courses, every dish feels like it was made with care and authenticity. What really sets Capo apart is the amazing atmosphere. The ambiance is warm, elegant, and full of character, making it perfect for a night out or a special occasion. If you visit on a Sunday, you’re in for a real treat—their Frank Sinatra show is a standout experience. Great music, great food, and an unforgettable vibe. Highly recommend this place—it’s easily one of the best Italian dining experiences in town!

Gorgeous place with great food and drinks. Our waitress, Jade, was wonderful and helped us make our entree decisions.

Capo Tuesday nights is a celiacs dream. Some of the best food I have ever had, so good you would never know it’s gluten free. My non celiac partner agreed! The arancini is insanely good.

Gluten free Tuesdays was so amazing. Great value and portions. Sat outside to avoid the super loud indoors

My family and I celebrated my birthday at Capo tonight. It was fantastic! The atmosphere was so nice seated next to a floor to ceiling fireplace. The food is amazing! Laia, our server, was one of the best servers I have ever had. I would highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back!

I went on a Thursday, which they do jazz night downstairs. It was phenomenal, the drinks also too. They did a dinner for two for 65$ with 1 appetizer, a meal, and a dessert. Highly recommend. The performance band was fantastic! I got a flower from the artist (:

Capo in South Boston is a neighborhood gem—Italian food at its absolute best. Chef Ciron, a proud Sicilian, clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. My personal favorite is the Wagyu beef carpaccio, elevated to brilliance with black truffle and Japanese dashi vinaigrette, a flavor combination that delivers layers of umami and proves his genius. The cacio e pepe instantly transported me back to Rome, while the sweet corn ravioli, sourced locally, reminded me of summer in Boston. Every dish feels like a story that bridges tradition and creativity. Service is consistently on point—warm, attentive, and perfectly balanced between professional and personal. Leadership at Capo sets the standard, and you feel it in every detail of the experience. Beyond the food, the vibe is unbeatable: fun events every night that make it not just a restaurant, but a destination. If you haven’t been yet, Capo is the kind of place you absolutely cannot miss. Bold flavors, heartfelt hospitality, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. This is South Boston’s culinary crown jewel.

First and foremost, I have to talk about the atmosphere and ambiance which is really what made this place stand out to me. It is absolutely gorgeous inside and very large! The lighting is dark but not to dark and the wall to wall bar with the large glass mirror is beautiful. The food was 4/5 - meatballs were delicious but slight overcooked and the sauce was burned in the cast iron small skillet. Wasn’t a fan of that but the meatballs themselves, cooked almost perfectly. The bolognese was lacking in flavor in my opinion even with the whipped ricotta. Personally would choose the chicken Parmesan next time as the table next to me ordered it and it look magnificent.

Wonderful gluten free dinner. The place was a bit noisy for us based on the number of people there. So we requested a table at the back of the restaurant. Overall a good experience.

Reservation was made but there were open seats while we were there on Tuesday night. The atmosphere is excellent. There is a really nice bar with tv's showing the baseball game. The place is really big inside with wood decor everywhere adding to the warmth of the place. Each table has a lamp offering just enough light to enjoy your meal and set the mood for an enjoyable time. Our waitress was friendly and made great suggestions. We started off with the arancini appetizer. They brought us fresh bread and olive oil. The bread was not my favorite but is was fresh. We ordered a Caesar salad to split and Rigatoni Alla Vodka with grilled chicken. We also ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese. The pasta is so wonderful. I loved the Bolognese the best. The flavor was impeccable. The Vodka sauce was as good as any I have ever had. The chicken was so tender. If you find yourself in the South side of Boston, stop by you won't be disappointed. They also offer a dinner show downstairs but we did not have time for that. Sunday's are Sinatra night.

Went for Gluten free Tuesdays and recommend it 10/10. It was great being to eat all the Italian foods I grew up and not worrying if it had gluten. Having Gluten free nights was the best decision in my opinion. A bit on the pricier side but my party split dishes because we all wanted to taste as much as we could. Also in true Italian fashion expect a long dinner. We weren’t rushed and spend two hours eating (not because the food took long) we just talked and enjoyed the overall dinner experience.

(The Update) I just wanted to give a update about how today I went for bingo and Abby who apparently isn't their normal host for that but she was awesome!! She asked people which gift card they wanted and which game the crowd wanted for two of the games which was super fun and inviting of her. This place is always a good time. The food here is great and handmade. I came on Wednesday for their weekly event and had a blast. I would suggest anyone check this place out!

We love the Sunday Sinatra, the food is okay. The singer is very talented, we love the experience. Would do it again

We really enjoyed the ambiance of this restaurant. A lot of seating in both the front and back, and a long bar. The service was very good, and they offered lots of food choices, even for those with celiac. They had multiple gluten-free pasta shapes to choose from. The restaurant is a bit loud because of acoustics, so it might be slightly difficult to have an actual conversation without shouting.

We visited for my dad‘s birthday dinner and it was a delightful time. Every dish was very tasty. I got the penne alla vodka gluten free with whipped ricotta on top (definitely worth getting!) - the orecchiette, chicken, Parmesan, and scallops saltimbocca were all very tasty. The zucchini fries were the perfect appetizer, the pesto aioli they came with was awesome. They also brought some limoncello shots and a beautifully plated Torta Di Chocolate for dessert. Definitely recommend coming!

Went for the gluten free night (Tuesday nights. Whole menu is GF). And holy smokes, beat pasta I've had in years! Great atmosphere, huge selection, very tasty!

The food and service was great. One of the best Veal Parmesan around. I would keep coming back for the red sauce!

We came for the gluten free night and it was amazing!! We shared the fried calamari, prosciutto pizza and garlic bread. The calamari was hands down the best I’ve ever tried. Absolutely sooo impressed by the quality and that everything was gf! Tuesdays are also trivia night in the basement at 7pm, so we stayed for that and had a great time. Will definitely be coming back!

This is a very large Bar/Restaurant in South Boston with different rooms and different venues. There's even a stage downstairs for shows and comedians. We sat at the upstairs bar which had a view of the outdoors out front. We sat at this bar and met David & Mia our friendly and personable bartenders. I recommend the very large and delicious veal chop. If you're into a more romantic section at Capo's, the other bar on the first floor has a fireplace dining area with its own bar. This is a unique experience you need to try.

Came here for Valentine’s Day and had an amazing meal !!! Highly recommend this place, I’ve always heard very good things and I’m so happy I got a chance to try it out! The drinks were good and so were the pasta dishes we got! The bread was so fresh and the oil was the best!!!

Attending the Sinatra Sunday event is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food is delectable, the cocktails are exquisite, and the entertainment is wonderful. We have spent two special occasions at Capo and plan to spend many more. Thank you so much for a magical experience!

We came for dinner on a Friday night and had a great time. The food was delicious and the cocktails were tasty. Shout out to Diego behind the bar and DJ Stenny upstairs for keeping the drinks and beats flowing for an awesome time.

OMG this place is incredible. The food was next level... Best brussels sprouts I've ever had in my life. Everything was phenomenal. Place is HUGE with a section downstairs for live music. Lighting is very romantic (don't see that much these days). And the service was above and beyond. Would give it six stars if I could. BTW it was my birthday... They went out of their way to make it memorable

As delicious as the food and drinks and ambiance is, service is even better, which is hard to believe!! Eleni was incredible. My family came in tonight for my brothers birthday- we do this every year for th last 9 years and it never disappoints, but this was just a great experience. Eleni took such great care of us a was such a good sport despite how crazy and loud and needy my family can be 🤣 we love it here! Can’t wait for year 10!!

Alisha was great she gave really nice suggestions. Very patient. The lobster was not seasoned well but she saved the day with some old bay. She smelled amazing!! Better than the food

5 stars for everything!! Our reservations went through open table for Sinatra Sunday. However the resevations were for dinner only. Abby and Ellie were the best at accommodating us so we wouldn't miss it as we had driven 3 hours. Food, service, atmosphere all so fantastic!! We will definitely be back!! Best chicken parm too!

We had a wonderful family dinner upstairs next to the fireplace. The servers were really helpful, attentive, and friendly. The food was delicious too, particularly the Clam Scampi and Rotisserie Chicken. There was a mixup because I had tried to reserve a table in the Supper Club on Open Table but was put upstairs instead. When I let the staff know, they were able to still find a table for us downstairs so we could enjoy the Sinatra Night. We had a lovely time and will come back.

What a wonderful dining experience at Capo! The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, and the drinks were outstanding.** Alisha**provided excellent service and made us feel so welcome. My parents will be visiting soon, and I already know this will be our go-to spot for a fun night out. Highly recommend!

I almost can’t put into words our latest experience at Capo. I made reservations for Sunday upstairs as the Supper Club for Sinatra Sundays was full. They called me on Friday as they had a cancellation for Sinatra Sunday, and when they saw I was going to propose, they wanted to invite us downstairs and wanted to help however they can to make the night magical. They truly knocked it out of the park. I dedicated a song to my partner, to which the performers noted, and I proposed during the song. I tried to be discreet but the audience realized what was happening and everyone started applauding. The singer, Rich, asked what she said. When I said she said yes, the host came running with complimentary champagne and they started singing Love and Marriage. The food, the atmosphere, and the staff were incredible. I tipped the bill. Our waitress absolutely deserved it. We love going to Capo, so every little thing they did made the evening even more special and meaningful. She was totally surprised and so happy. I cannot be more grateful. Thank you for an unforgettable night, Capo!

On our Culinary 🧑‍🍳 Travels we ended up in South Boston at Capo for Dinner Tonight. Our Waitress Sophia was Friendly and Attentive she took our Drink and Appetizer orders of Meatballs 😋, Arancini and Fried Calamari. The Fresh Rustic Country Bread 😋 was Delicious with the Dipping oil. The Beers 🍻 were Ice Cold ❄️. Entrees we ordered Cacio e Pepe, Bucatini Carbonara and Dry Aged New York Strip with sides of Sauteed Spinach, Crispy Smashed Potatoes and Polenta . The Entrees were Good. Dessert Capo Trio ( Tiramisu, Chocolate Cake and Dulce Cheesecake) they were all Tasty. The Service was Great 👍. We Recommend Capo Restaurant.

Came here for brunch with a group of 9. The place was empty when we arrived, and seating by the windows was cold so we asked to be moved. The staff was accommodating and closed them. I ordered the Rib Eye & Eggs, it was very good (though I was starving, so maybe that helped!). Tried the Bloom mocktail, which was sweet and tasty, but a little inconsistent since the three of us who ordered it all got different looking drinks, some with ice some without. My only complaint is my drink took about 15–20 minutes to arrive while everyone else was almost done enjoying theirs. On the plus side, the bathroom was very chic and clean. Overall, a solid brunch spot.

Enjoyed a brunch with family for our Easter celebration. The brunch menu is small but the lunch/dinner menu is also available opening up your options. Some of our most enjoyable dishes included the Lemon Ricotta French Toast, Truffle & Mushroom Omelette, Prosciutto Benedict. We accompanied our meals with drinks such as the Cape Old Fashioned, Espresso Martini and Capri Sun. The space is great for both small and large parties. Recommend a reservation. The server staff was attentive, friendly, and well coordinated, which made for a pleasant eating experience. Overall, the food was delicious and flavorful. I'm looking forward to visiting again to try some dishes off the dinner menu.

Good but not amazing Italian food. The only dish our group tried that was exceptional was the lobster gnocchi. The rigatoni bolognese was also pretty good. The restaurant decor was rustic with exposed bricks, but it was extremely loud inside and you had to shout to be heard. Service was friendly, and prices were reasonable for the generous portions.

We enjoyed dinner. It wasn't wow amazing. But it was good. Fresh bread. Home made pasts. Big menu with a lot of variety items. We ordered duck breast. I would have liked mine cooked a little more. Or at least the waitress asking us how we want it to be cooked. But overall it was tasty. Tuna crudo was very good.

S

The service was great! The food was okay, I’m not sure if it was because it was gluten free night. But the brussel sprouts were a bit too charred. And the outer layer of the steak also tasted charred even though the middle was perfect.

Had a good dinner at Capo’s the other night. I was impressed at the size and aesthetic of this place as I didn’t realize how large the inside was. Food was also good, but I warn anyone who wants to dine here in the colder months, DO NOT let the staff sit you in the 6 4- seated tables in the front of the restaurant. I want to compliment the service, which was timely and friendly. We had an excellent waitress. The food came quickly, though the fried calamari wasn’t my cup of tea. They were nicely beer battered and super crisp. However, the size of these calamari were fairly large resulting in a crunchy, but very rubbery appetizer. Would only recommend if you don’t mind that type of texture. We did not finish it. The main dishes on the other hand were delicious. Hardy portions, good flavor, and a creative spin. My truffle fusili was very well done. Dessert was also tasty. Gelato is great and the torta di chocolate will blow you away. It is incredible. This meal would 100% have been even better ifmy group and I weren’t freezing cold every time the front door opened. There is no blower or additional heat source in the front, so every time someone came in or left, which was frequent, we and the other 5 tables would be blown around by the draft and freezing weather. I also noticed that pick up orders were placed in the foyer area which itself was fairly chilly, so anyone getting delivery shouldn’t be surprise dif their food is cold upon arrival. I would highly recommend this spot if you want a fun night out or a good meal, just do not let anyone sit you by the front seating area during the winter. Makes for a really unpleasant experience.

loved this variation of an espresso martini with the house made whipped cream. the pizza was very good, probably the only highlight. the calamari was awful, it just looked strange and wasn’t very good at all, don’t recommend it.

I got takeout and got penne alla vodka. It was okay, I’ve had better vodka sauce. This kinda tasted like butter noodles 2.0. I didn’t mind until I found something questionable in my food. I called about my concern and the manager said it was probably a pressed piece of pasta and he’s seen it before. I am not convinced this was pasta at all. I just expected maybe a refund or a better understanding but I understand as it was just over the phone. He seemed understanding, somewhat.

Really a mixed bag. We tried to reserve for the Sinatra supper and instead booked for the main restaurant. Staff said this happens all the time... perhaps they should fix their website to address this issue instead of leaving it to persist. The place beautiful and 3 of the 4 of us had a great meal. Unfortunately, the $30 pasta dish was a minuscule portion, especially in comparison to the large portions everyone else received. The apps came quickly, but were cold. The entrees took a very long time and the waitress was largely MAI. We would have complained about the smaller than a kids meal sized portion of pasta, but she never came by until it was time for the bill. Too bad as 3/4 of us had really fantastic dishes.

I’m sorry to say we were taken back where we sat behind food pick up and all chatter from hostess which is understandable but reserve the area for that table for pick ups only .Also food was a ok not fantastic and not hot our waiter was great but we had a whole different experience expected since our daughter was dying to try a gluten-free menu and it was very limited. Overall a ok experience not thrilled had better before .

Went for jazz night and the performance was wonderful, absolutely loved the vibe and the band. The let down was the food and service. Everything was super oily and heavy and salty. We got back home with a stomach pain which continued the next day. Also they took away our plates and cutlery for appetizers to clean up, and brought us the main courses, but never came back with a fresh set, we had to grab one waiters attention for that. Would love to come back for the music but don’t want to deal with stomach pain again, make some healthy food! You can see how much oil there is on the what supposed to be healthy baked beets and carrots.

P

Made reservations 6 week in advance for the Sinatra supper night expecting to be able to have a nice date with my husband only to show up and we were placed with two other couples in a TIGHT booth. We could barely hold hands due to them not removing out any plates from the very small table. Not even a warning or apology for the seating. Waitress was ok, very dry. Just make sure when you make reservation you ask where you will be seated.

I had a disappointing experience at this Italian restaurant. I ordered our food, but everything tasted off. We discovered that every Tuesday is "gluten-free night," and all dishes are served without gluten. There were no prominent signs about this, just small print at the bottom of the menu. While I think this is great for those with gluten allergies, I wish I would have been told this from the beginning. It was a waste of $80. Shouldn't they inform you about this before you sit down? Such a letdown.

Im so pissed, for a while I contemplated about ordering from this place and I knew I should have never! Small portions, almost 30$, it's a complete rip off! This is broccoli Pesto orecchiette substitute with gnocchi. Tastes horrible but also is tasteless. Does not taste like Pesto. Suppose to have lemon, but absolutely does not. And there's a billion fennel seeds because to shred the sausage enough to feed a 9 month old. I feel sick after eating it cause it's so dam oilly, just straight garbage!

I’ve been ordering back to back shrimp scampi for the past year bc it is my favorite dish. I’ve only ordered through Uber Eats ever and never sat down in the restaurant itself due to a long line of college students. I ordered this dish 2 days in a row and the proportion of pasta is ridiculous. Never ever has this ever happened to me. For $30 prior to these last 2 days they have been service half of a container!!!???? For $30. A cheap pizza shop up the street up the street would overwhelm you with pasta for $20 or less. Is there a damn shortage on a $1 dollar pasta box?!! What the hell is going on!?. This is crazy work to me and the only answer they could provide to me is to take it up with Uber Eats! What does Uber Eats have to do with you packing my order. When I ordered this dish it would be filled to the brim that the dish is would last 2 days to eat. An authentic italian restaurant would never serve such a small portion for $30 friggin dollars! This is unacceptable. I will be coming in person to order a take out to see if you guys are purposely doing this to Uber Eats clients only to understand if your are cheating folks out of their money!!

We came here to celebrate my niece’s 16th birthday since she wanted Italian food. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience were disappointing. Our waiter seemed distracted from the start. My sister ordered a Coke with lemon, and the lemon was forgotten. When she reminded him, he brought it over holding the lemon between his fingertips instead of on a plate, which felt very unhygienic. We had brought a birthday cake and simply asked for a lighter so we could light the candles and sing. At that point, the waiter informed us there was a $4 per person cake-cutting fee. We explained that we would be cutting the cake ourselves, but he said the fee still applied because we would be using the restaurant’s plates. The manager confirmed this and added that most guests order their desserts, and since we brought our own cake, there would be a charge. I found this policy unreasonable, especially since it wasn’t mentioned when we made the reservation. A heads-up would have allowed us to plan accordingly. As for the food, it was just okay—nothing memorable, and certainly not worth the hassle. Overall, this was not a great experience, and I would choose another Italian restaurant next time.

I was the friend who was accused of stealing the phone, and I’m still honestly shaken by how everything unfolded. Two drunk men approached us bragging about finding a lost phone. When it started ringing, I took it from them to answer the call so we could help return it to its owner. The woman on the phone asked if we could bring it to coat check, which we were already heading toward since we had called our Uber and were leaving. We genuinely thought we were doing the right thing. The moment we walked into coat check, the attendant immediately became aggressive and accused me of stealing her phone. She said, “Oh yeah, you conveniently just found my phone. Like of course YOU did.” I was in complete shock. Why would I answer a ringing phone and bring it directly to coat check if I were trying to steal it? Before I could even properly explain, she cursed at us, called security and told them to remove us for stealing her property. No one initially asked for our side of the story — we were just being ushered out. What made it worse was that we were already trying to leave. We had to argue just to get our coats back as the weather outside was very cold. The situation escalated so quickly and unnecessarily, and it felt incredibly unfair and humiliating. As young women of color in a predominantly white space, it’s hard not to question why the accusation was made so quickly and aggressively without any attempt to hear us out. We came to celebrate a 21st birthday and spent over $600 that night. Up until that moment, everything had been great. But being publicly accused and nearly removed for trying to do something kind completely overshadowed the experience. It left us feeling embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly unsafe. No one should be treated that way for attempting to return lost property. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we will not be returning.

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had, made even worse because it was for my daughter’s 18th birthday. We chose Capo specifically for their Wednesday bottomless pasta night and made a reservation expecting a special and organized evening. When we arrived, we were told we’d have to wait about an hour and a half despite having a reservation. We were then sent downstairs where a loud bingo night was happening. The environment was chaotic and completely inappropriate for a birthday celebration — we couldn’t even sing “Happy Birthday” for my daughter. After being seated downstairs, we were told that bottomless pasta was not available in that area, which was the ONLY reason my daughter chose this restaurant. When I called and spoke to the manager, I was told the wait upstairs was still over an hour, even after we had already been waiting. No effort was made to fix the situation, accommodate us, or show any concern. Service continued to be terrible. We weren’t even served bread. Everyone in our group received their food after waiting about 35 minutes, and I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes for my meal. Completely unacceptable and poorly managed. This experience showed a total lack of organization, communication, and basic customer service. This restaurant ruined what should have been a memorable 18th birthday. I would never return and absolutely do not recommend it, especially for special occasions.
