Off the beaten path, but well worth the detour. This little coffee shop features their own roasted beans, friendly service, and incredible espresso and coffee drinks.
Right off the hwy so keep an eye out for those green flags! Drive thru service was quick & pleasant. Gluten free alternative goods available and organic beans for purchase. Non dairy creamer options are on point (oat, almond, soy, & coconut). I went with the chocolate mocha muffin which was amazingly soft&delicious. Coffee "java jacket" made in the us & the hot solo cup is Sustainable Forestry Initiative certified (sourcing). I appreciate this place & what theyre doing :~]

One of my favorite places to stop when I'm driving to Reno. I also buy gift certificates for my real estate, clients and giveaways from Kym the owner. She is friendly and makes a great mocha. I always make point to stop in and get a Mocha Frappe, and must say she has the most flavorful chocolate of any coffee shop, even Starbucks! The owner bakes the best blueberry muffins as well. Stop in and support a small business! She's worth it!
This is a very convenient stop for great coffee on Highway 70. The dining room is small, but modern. Very clean inside. The building is still being renovated inside, and out, for this new business, but it doesn't slow down the owners. They make a great cup of coffee here. There is even a drive-up window if you don't want to get out. They have fresh cinnamon rolls, and muffins displayed on the counter. They even offer gluten free carrot cake. I think they even have breakfast sandwiches. You can buy whole beans or ground ( they roast their own) to take home. This coffee shop is on my daily commute for my caffeine fix. Sierra Valley is a pretty special place, and Coffee Tree Express adds to its charm. Support local small businesses.

While camping nearby, I needed wifi and somewhere to get some work done to meet deadlines. Kim, I'm guessing the owner, was amazing. I was able to log on to the wi-fi have a great tasting Vanilla Latte, a yummy chocolate muffin (still warm from the oven) and get my work done. This place is clean, Kim was kind, there are bathrooms, a few tables inside, a great space outside, parking, etc. Thank you SO much for the great space to help support my career and the yummy coffee!

This is a pretty cool little coffee roasterie / shop on the edge of Portola. There's not a whole let else around here, so this is a great place to grab some coffee for camping or just before a road trip.
