These 5 Stars are for an employee named Keisha, who, as I entered the store, was putting together a large order while memorizing and taking orders for 3 cars in the drive-thru! while still managing everything else in front of her!! Her work ethic is absolutely amazing and deserves to be recognized! Thank you!
Ashley it's very professional, attentive and good at what she does. But I do have to mention that corporate needs to do something about their air conditioning. These poor people are suffering and the AC has been out for a month. There's no excuse to do this to them. The crew was awesome. The food is awesome. Five stars for the crew at this particular location. But my disappointment is with the apathetic Corporate Office that obviously has the money to get this done, but doesn't care enough to do it in a timely fashion. These people didn't sign up for construction work outside. This could also cause medical issues.. I'll be making that phone call immediately. ...
I’m a hard-working mother and I came in on October 24 and everybody was happy there. I love the atmosphere and the food was great. It was wonderful. Great wonderful customer service.
Food was great. Had a wait a while for the Mac n cheese and the guy gave us some extras for the wait. Okra was cooked to perfection. My only complaint is the tight turn in the drive thru.
I grabbed lunch from Church's today and had a great experience. The food was yummy, hot and fresh. I got the 2 pc combo with fries, biscuit and sweet tea. The chicken was crispy and tender and the biscuit was buttery and sweet, just the way it should be. The drive through staff was welcoming and friendly. The girl that took my order did it quickly and accurately while also being friendly and courteous. Richard P was the cashier that gave me my food. He too was friendly and quick to get my order to me. Thank you for an overall great experience! I didn't get a pic of my food so here's the receipt just for confirmatio.
Just went to this location and got some great customer service from Antoine and Keimon Awsome job guys!!! Keep up the great work!!! Awsome food fresh the only part I wasn't so great was the white gravy sorry not a fan
I came in at around 2pm in the mood of some good chicken, I was treated with respect and politeness, honestly made my day much better, great respectful staff at Church’s chicken on Valley mills Waco Tx, thank you Chris 👍
The ladies up front were kind warm and welcoming. The lady that took our order was kind and got everything we ordered fast and efficiently. Food was prepared deliciously! Great little date night for me and my son. He loves Church's and has never eaten inside of one until today. Thank you Church's for a great dinner experience. Many blessings ❤️
Here’s the deal. The food is delicious. The staff is awesome. We got our food in a timely fashion, but that AC not working in the restaurant is unbelievable.. for a whole month, especially during the summertime-in Texas ;Oooof ! That there was the only disappointing thing about this place because we are travelers and we are not the only weary travelers that just want to sit down and enjoy a meal , but the worst thing about it being triple digits outside is going inside and watching these poor employees struggle to breathe and there’s no telling what other kind of health issues comes along with this working environment. One nice/professional lady employee could barely speak because her voice is getting messed up in that heat . Last time I checked “CHURCH’S CHICKEN “ is a big enough corporation to pay for AC maintenance.
I’m a black lady I came in and everything looked great. I was impressed and everybody that was on this day working on October 23. It was wonderful. They were great a lot of smiles laughter made me feel at home.
Churches is my Mom’s favorite place to get chicken! She has been a customer as long as I can remember. Very Good chicken, try it out. Friendly staff as well. Will definitely be back.!.
This place was awesome. Great food. Great atmosphere. The place looked clean. Good job crew.
Went to this location and had a great experience. The quality of the chicken was fresh and the customer service was great! William was polite, and made sure everything was perfect with my order.
I went here the other day and I actually had a good experience. Even though there was a line before me, the wait was short, it was simple to order, and the lady and man that took my order and handed me my food were nice. I got a 4-piece chicken mix with fried okra and it was so hot, fresh, crispy and good. I was completely satisfied with my experience
Church’s Chicken, 1515 S Valley Mills Dr, Waco, TX Rating: ★★★★☆ Golden Chaos on Valley Mills. There’s a certain kind of honesty in the air at 1515 South Valley Mills Drive—not in the form of customer service, mind you, but in the smell of that chicken. It’s bold. It’s greasy. It don’t care what kind of day you’re having. And it hits you before you even walk in the door. If you’re anywhere near Valley Mills in Waco, your nose will find this Church’s Chicken before your GPS does. Friday night. After five. Paychecks hit, appetites flare, and Church’s is under siege. You walk in and immediately clock the scene: no one at the register, a small crowd forming in the lobby, and a pair of overworked girls juggling the drive-thru and counter like they’re hosting a live taping of “Survivor: Fast Food Edition.” Two guys in the back. One’s cooking chicken. The other? Mysterious. Possibly just dodging eye contact. The lobby? Disheveled. Tables sticky. Trash cans flirting with overflow. Families lean against walls waiting for their big orders—drive-thru customers who’ve already parked and now wait inside, hoping proximity will get them their food faster. It won’t. And yet… you stay. Because the air is thick with that unmistakable promise: golden, crunchy, juicy chicken that makes all the chaos worth it. You place your order—eventually. Maybe it takes ten minutes, maybe more. You order two-piece white, okra, fries, apple pie, fountain drink. You get some of it. You don’t get all of it. The girl forgets the fries and the jalapeño until you ask. The okra’s been sitting under the heat lamp too long. But then… then comes the chicken. Golden brown. Crispy skin. Juicy inside. That jalapeño on the side? A perfect green flame that ignites the whole experience. In that moment, your missing fries don’t matter. The sticky tables don’t matter. The wait? Forgotten. Because this chicken slaps. It’s the kind of fried that tastes like it was earned. Not prepped in a sterile test kitchen, but fried by people who know the oil, who work the fryer like it’s family tradition. That’s why people crowd this place on a Friday night, even knowing full well they might walk away grumbling. Not because they love the chaos. But because they know what waits at the end of it. So no, this isn’t a five-star joint. It doesn’t pretend to be. The service is spotty. The lobby is a mess. The staff looks one wrong look away from a walkout. But the chicken? The chicken is art. And that earns four stars every time. Final Bite: If you want immaculate vibes and flawless service, keep driving. But if you’re hungry for the kind of fried chicken that makes people forgive everything else, pull into that lot on South Valley Mills and take your place in the madness. When that hot box hits your hand and that crispy skin hits your teeth, you’ll understand exactly why Church’s is still in business. Pro Tip: Show up early. Right when they open. No crowd, no confusion—just hot, fresh, undisturbed glory. It’s a different experience when Church’s has time to breathe. And trust me, that first-batch chicken? That’s five-star living in a four-star world.
I have eaten here almost every Sunday after church services for the past 16 month. For most of last year they had an experienced crew that worked well together. But these last few months it has been a stream of new faces. Today the cashier (wearing a nose ring tha looked like snot) got my order wrong. I have been ordering the same lunch for 16 months. When I pointed out that what she had rung up was not what I ordered she began to blame me, telling me that what she had input was what I had ordered. I slowly repeatedmy order which with much facial attitude she rang up. I made the mistake of assuming that she got it right this second time. When I received my meal it was not what I asked for (two legs) but was one leg and a thigh! The restaraunt was not clean. While eating my meal a few other customers had to go back to the counter because they too did not get what the had wanted. Good employees make for a good dining experience. Poorly trained employees with an attitude that seeks to blame the customer make for a bad dining experience.
They have no idea what they are doing. Had to repeat my order 4 times. Dude is talking to multiple people while taking my order. And then there was issues with the soda machine. So I paid for 2 drinks I didnt receive. Really ridiculous
Fries were cold and chicken couldnhave been fresher. Crazy that you have to askfor good service instead oof it being automatic.
I am visiting Waco and must say this location makes me not want to go to another Church’s restaurant. My order was brought to my car in the drive thru. I did not realize nothing like silverware, napkins, or condiments were not put in my bag nor did the employee ask me before she had me pull forward to serve the next vehicle. I got to my hotel to eat and the chicken was so dry and hard that the crust just fell off the chicken. The only thing that gave them a 2 star was the biscuit but then again I got no butter or honey for it. Definitely would not recommend this location.
I didn’t go inside. You really should just sell all churches chicken to a better company because they never answer the phone. It takes an hour for anyone of these in waco tx to box up some dry crummy chicken. This franchise is a SHAME. I can’t wait till someone starts good fried chicken business without letting it go to shame.
Didn’t get what I payed for. I bought a 3 pc and a 5 pc tender combo and a 2 pc chicken to get home and it wasn’t correct. No 5 pc tender in the bag and I called they , they picked the phone up and hung it up. Never again. Do better Churches’s. Hire people that want to work !!
The manager at this location seems to be inexperienced. The flow of the restaurant staff is ridiculous!!! Please work on wait times and customer service .
