This is the best McDonalds in Nassau County. It's run like a well oiled machine and so consistently great! My 17 year old son has worked there for 2 years and they are treated very well by management. So to me, they deserve a solid 5 stars! Well done McDonalds! 🍔🍟🥤🍔🍟🥤🍔🍟🥤

Workers are always helpful!

One of the only fast-food restaurants that I don't mind going through their drive-thru. While many other fast-food restaurants often get Drive-Thru orders incorrect, this Wantagh McDonald's always gets our order right. The staff are competent, friendly and it seems like they enjoy their job unlike employees at some of the other local fast-food restaurants (especially Wendy's on Wantagh Ave) where the employees seem like they would rather be anywhere but their current place of employment. This is, undoubtedly, our favorite McDonald's restaurant. Update 2/17/2022: This is still our favorite McDonald's Restaurant. They continue to consistently get our orders correct. I wish the driveway was longer because during busy times, cars will line up down wantagh Ave and if you're on the opposite side of Wantagh Ave waiting to get in the driveway, other cars slip in ahead of you which can be annoying if you're in a time crunch. McDonald's management does what it can to relieve the wait time by having an additional employee take orders at the Drive-Thru.

Staff was extremely pleasant and easy to speak to. They helped us by fixing our frappe which wasn’t fully filled the first time even though they were extremely busy, and without a problem. Lots of respect to the speed of service and work that they put into the order fulfillment. Huge thank you to the team. <3

Visited the store that day with my wife and our granddaughter. Received our food started eating and my Big Mac got a little cold. I brought it to the counter and asked if they could just heat it up for me oh, and the manager says will let me give you a new one I said okay. Understand I just wanted them to heat up my sandwich but they didn't want me to do that they wanted give me a new one. Which I accepted and it was warm and it stayed warm and it was very good. I wanted to make a phone call to say that the manager treated me very good that day. In fact everybody behind the counter was very helpful. I never got a chance to make the phone call but this came across my phone today and I thought I would share my experience with you. Oh yes and by the way she also gave me a card for a free sandwich of my choice. This McDonald's is a pleasure to eat at. Thanks everybody

This is an excellent McDonald's location. Although small inside, the dining area is very clean. The staff is quick. They will bring food to the table if needed. The drive-thru is always very busy, especially during lunch time. There is parking in the rear, and if your food is not ready from the drive-thru there is space to pull over and wait.

I just had coffee, but everything was perfect. The morning lady that takes care of the seating area is great. Makes me have a new appreciation of McDonald's. This was the Wantagh Avenue location by the tracks.

Great 8pm drive through experience. Staff was friendly and helpful at all windows. We had a special order, no salt on the french fries. They got it right and the fries were hot and fresh. At 8pm sometimes other locations give stale or dried out food. Not this location! Great service, great staff, great food. Thanks!

Its food is delicious and life giving, whilst also nutritious and invigorating, helping all who consume it to rise to highs seemingly impossible, lay to waste problems formerly unsolvable. I love McDonalds, a virtuous and strong company that sacrifices it all so that we, God's beloved children, might know beauty and honor and strength. This McDonald's is the best one of all the stores that I've ever visited, They are polite, clean and the food is served hot . I've never had an issue with the food or service. The drive thru is spot on. I can't believe some of the negative reviews, We come here sometimes twice a week and also used the drive thru during the pandemic and never had a problem with the food, everyone is well trained and that is a good reflection on management .

One of the managers there, Daniel I believe, is extremely courteous and helpful. She's very nice in any situation and has tried to be accommodating if any unfortunate situation arises with an order. This is also a 24 hours McDonald, so you can't beat that! I think she is there mostly during evening and later night hours, so the service then is great. Regarding the food, it's what you expect, it's as great as a McDonald's can be. So in terms of relative food quality, it's top notch from my experience.

Whoa 😳 been years since I visited a McDonald's restaurant. This one was excellent. Manager and staff are absolutely awesome...so I decided to dine in. Food was literally delicious and fresh. Very clean as well with great atmosphere.

Now, McDonald’s isn’t exactly where to go when you’re looking for luxury or anything, but I’ll be honest this is actually a pretty nice store. I tend to go to the one closer to me but when they were out of shamrock shakes, I hurried over to this one and was pleasantly surprised by not only delicious shakes, but also a really sweet staff who took my order with manners and patience, regardless of the huge line. I left happy and will be sure to come back!

A manager had to assist me with a minor issue. It was dealt with expeditiously and she was very polite. Food was as ordered . Great job

My son & I arrived yesterday from the UK and he wanted to try an American McDonald's so we came here. My son then asked me to add a review because, in his words, this is the best McDonald's he's ever tasted. For me, the girl behind the counter was extremely accommodating and helpful to us as we worked through the breakfast menu to get something. In the end, my son went for an English special 'Mighty McMuffin', explained it to our server, and she very kindly added it for us. Well worth it. 😊

The new Renovations at this McDonald's look pretty good. They are simple and understated with some new changes made. I have found the workers at the Wantagh McDonald to be friendly and efficient.

Good food, they have to machines that let you order your own food now! And they'll bring it to your table. The staff is super nice and respectful too. Only downside is that there are a TON of screaming kids.. so I'd recommend getting your food to go.

Other than not hearing the speakers clear I've had no problems whatsoever. Orders are always fresh and hot and using their app they got some great great specials

Re-opened with the fresh new look and a couple of KIOSKS. I'm not sure how it will work because id rather walk to the counter and place my order. I think thats still faster. Maybe when they're busy the KIOSK plays a bigger role. Time will tell.

Always busy, ESPECIALLY at dinner time. Drive thru line has a tendency to overflow into Wantagh Ave, and you get stuck blocking traffic which can be frustrating. I recommend using their app and doing either curbside or in store pickup, either option is preferable to waiting on the long drive thru line.

Very little interaction with the staff since that giant wall put up. The kids that come here are disrespectful and their bikes need to go. Mgmnt needs to tell these kids stop being loud and get the bikes away from the main door or leave!

The services was great the food was delivered to our table. The salad was a great value but lacked tomatoes as there were only 2. The spinach stems were to long. You can pay with Apple Pay when you order inside.

Ordered on the app and pulled up curbside, pretty busy so I waited a good 10 mins. Food was good but when I got home they got one of the sandwiches wrong.

Staff was generally uninterested and non communicative. The person who took my payment was constantly looking at her phone and only pointed at where I had to go without looking up from her phone. The staff at the Hempstead Tpke, Levittown McDonald's are much nicer.

How is it... that anyone could screw up making a hot fudge sundae? Who puts the fudge underneath the ice cream? If you asked to have extra fudge... and paid for it - shouldn't you at least be able to SEE the chocolaty love? I'm afraid to see how the burgers are assembled.

Food is consistent, service not so much, but at the end of the day it's a McDonald's and the young adults working here are likely under a lot of pressure from the rush hr orders. Don't order here if you're in a big hurry, dinner time is usually very busy. App orders are usually incorrect so best to order in store.

Clean entrance and dining area and good service. But all of our fries were dried out and stale, even though we visited at a busy dinner time. Also, the restroom, only one of two working, was absolutely gross.

I specifically went here for the happy meal toys for my grandchildren, & it wasn't the disney princesses & star wars. Now this may sound trivial but it's a minimum of an hour drive one way to see them. of course there was a replacement, but the box itself was covered on all sides & of course I had to explain to my grandchildren 😓 setting the tone of my visit😥

Not a bad McDonald's, but this location can use improvement. The biggest problem is that it's often impossible to get in when the drive thru is backed up as there's this weird turn you have to do and if the drive thru is backed up enough some cars won't even be able to fit through. Same goes for exiting. It's not nearly as much of an issue when exiting but it can still be an issue. If someone has to pull to the side to wait for a long drive thru order, there are two numbers instruction them on where to go, but those locations block the exit. EDIT: Don't come here on Sundays. Service is trash on Sundays. Food-wise, this location is typically good, but there are still some improvements to be had there. Fries are very hit or miss, which sucks because the fries used to be so good. Now they're either OK, overcooked, stale, or occasionally cold. The McCrispy is sometimes overcooked as well. I understand that the workers are in a rush but still. The wait is also longer than it used to be.

The food here was actually really good, I got a Quarter Pounder with fries and a drink, and everything came out hot, fresh, and perfectly made. No complaints about the food at all. But the staff… yeah, not great. They seemed annoyed and uninterested in helping customers. I asked for ketchup, and the cashier literally just walked away and never came back. It’s pretty clear most of the workers here don’t enjoy their jobs, and it really shows in the service. The restaurant itself was kind of clean but not fully. The bathrooms weren’t kept up well, and there were a bunch of kids running around, yelling, and leaving food everywhere. It didn’t feel like a welcoming place to sit down and eat, more like somewhere you just grab your food and go. Overall, the food was solid, but the service and atmosphere really brought the whole experience down

Used drive thru. Placed my order. They screwed up badly. I found two items missing. For an order of $23.76 I received TWO napkins in addition to no sauce that I had requested. This place is badly designed for drive thru service due to inconveniently located building.

Complete nightmare to get into. They will make you park and wait for something as small as a meal and it backs up the entire place and the surrounding street Wantagh Ave. Creates a very dangerous situation for drivers.

The food itself is good, but for some reason, they always forget the second fry in the Happy Meal. They also, never give ketchup with your fries and they don't salt them either. My Large fries came half empty. (and no, they were not fallen into the bag) Also, I can never get the option to add cheese in the Happy Meal hamburger in the app. It's only 4 or 6 piece nugget or a hamburger. The service is good, but very slow. They do not compare to any of the city McDs where they are super fast.

They never get the big Mac right. I irder no lettuce, no pickle and no onion. They change it to only Mac sauce. I ask is the cheese still on it. They say yes and always hand me a big Mac with no cheese. Just get it right ONCE1

You will never get a soft drink from the children inside that's not covered in soda you will always have to clean your own drink. And lately even if you order 2 plain cheeseburgers they will make you pull to the street and wait even if nobody's behind you. Seems to have gotten very careless.

I am changing my prior rating to a 1 star from 5 star. The take out drive thru service is simply poor and lacks any quality control when it comes to giving me a complete order that cost about $53. A similar issue happen 3 days later and now I'm done with this location.

They are so unbelievably stingy about their sauces, never been to a McDonald's like it. They refused to give me another syrup without charging me an extra 30¢, after I already paid with the app and bought two McGriddles for two separate people. The app literally says that syrup packets are free. No wonder this McDonald's is rated so poorly.

I went to the drive thru at 11:50pm and they told me they closed at 12:30 even though it was only 11:50pm!!! Even though Online says 1am. Just wish they would say they were closed at a certain time online before I drove all the way there!

Changing this to a 1 star. Customer Service does not exist here . Bathrooms are filthy. One worker came out of the bathroom without washing his hands. Another worker was sneezing in the air without covering their nose or mouth. The girl at the register did not greet me upon my arrival. Definitely a " DO NOT GO" to this place.

From my experiences, this location's drive-through track record for at least a decade, is that it takes too long. Besides that, I asked the male employee that was about to pass me my order at the window if there was a fork in the bag, his response was that "everything's in the bag." Glad I checked the bag before pulling away, bc there was no fork in the bag! Also, the prices are increasing too often where as the hot cakes are shrinking. McDonalds is not much "value"

Their manager tonight is disorganized and does a terrible job. Laughing and joking behind the counter and when an employee asks for her help she gets serious and tells them she’s busy. Ordered food by doordash a few days ago for 4 people, and when delivery came it was missing bottle of water and double quarter pounder sandwich. If you order doordash don't do it from this McDonalds, I was charged for items I didn't receive.

I will never frequent the wantagh McDonald’s again EVER. The drive thru worker asked for my iphone max pro because Apple Pay wasn’t working and once he got it to work went to hand it to me and dropped it!!!! It shattered completely damaging the inside as well. I went inside to speak to management and they gave me the info to the franchise owners, Hunt Corp. They did absolutely nothing for me except have an NASTY insurance adjuster call me telling me it’s my fault and if it were up to her she wouldn’t pay me zilch. Unbelievable. After a long conversation with her treating me like I’m the culprit and not rhe CUSTOMER WHOSE PHONE WAS RUINED BECAUSE YOUR EMPLOYEE DROPPED MY PHONE, she offered $600. Is that a joke? The damage costs over $1000 and this never would have happened had that employee never had my phone in his possession. I refused the $600 and threatened to go to small claims court where she proceeded to tell me I’m Manipulative. Really? Wow very professional for a service McDonald’s hired to handle situations which I’m sure there are more. I'm tired of this location and their inability to fulfill a drive thru order. Now their ability to fill an Uber Eats order reinforces it. I've provided a picture of the actual order and the actual receipt. Missing stuff as usual. Their answer is to provide a coupon for a free medium fries or entre sandwich. How about have someone be in charge of double checking orders. I connected with the Uber driver , he's clueless because of a language barrier. So what gives?!?! What will it take to get a properly filled order. Missing- 1 Big Mac , 1 double cheeseburger, 1 cheeseburger and 3 fries. The end results , go back ourselves, get the missing food and get 2 coupons for free sandwiches. Whats the point for online orders?

Everything was cold. Kids meal cold chicken n fries was missing drink but I caught it. My nephew will eat chicken nuggets all day, he looked at them and said no. My fries were terribly cold and rubbery. If its gonna take over 5 minutes to go thru drive thru at least have hot or med warm food.

This place is a disaster. Workers are very unprofessional and rude. The food quantity and quality was terrible. Fries’ containers were half filled and the sandwiches were a mess. The mayonnaise and ketchups and other sauces were on top of the bread…outside the sandwich where they don’t belong. I’ll never visit this particular location again.

I go there regularly with the family. It's not like it use to be. The place was redone but is kept very dirty, the tables and floor are always dirty. With the minimum amount of tables they have they need to have someone on the floor constantly cleaning immediately after people leave. Poor Management, I been finding myself going to Arby's and BQ. I walked in and there was nobody behind the registers and I could not order what I wanted at the kiosk. I looked in waved And waved and waved again. they looked right at me and kept talking and socializing. Just ignoring me. I then started shouting hello can somebody please take my order but still no response. A young man walked right past the opening to empty garbage, looks right at me and kept going. On his way back I said excuse me he looked at me and kept going. Finally a very nice young lady Came out and Talk care of me. I ask for a manager. The manager did not come Even though I saw her in there. she didn't come until I asked again. Her attitude was that she'd rather believe all those kids in there who claimed they did not see me over the Customer. She looked pretty much like a kid herself so what can you expect. No respect for customers anymore in this world.

Messed up 2 things on my order and the people working drive through were rude. A girl was taking my order and she had an attitude and stopped taking my order halfway through and a guy named mike took the rest of my order which also had an attitude. If one person took my order instead of 2 people I probably would have gotten the correct sandwich and they probably wouldn’t have forgotten my fries. By far the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to.

The app didn’t take my card. Then the card was “declined” and when I gave cash, they gave me the wrong change back. I went back because of the incorrect change and they gave me the wrong size drink just to wait in the drive thru for 10 minutes (the store was closed for inside), for me to argue about getting the correct change, and then to only be followed by the being given a dr pepper instead of a coke. the drive thru was held up even longer because of the manager giving me a hard time and people starting honking. Truly a horrible time. Then when I left, the change was still a dollar short and then when I checked my bank’s app, I was charged on that too…

Beware when you order here. make sure to check carefully. 80% o the time when you get home you will be missing part of your order. example. around 9pm 3/3/21I ordered 20 nuggets hot mustard, 2 large fry, spicy chicken and apple pie. when I got home 1st i got honey mustard instead and also NO Apple Pie which I paid for. although fast service is important it goes out the window when it is at the expense of accuracy. this is at the least the ninth time this has happened

This is a pointless app. I ordered on the app, thinking it would be ready when I got there, but then the girl tells me I have to give them my number at the window so they could start making it. What is the purpose of this app if I cannot get my food speedy, I Mean, I still have to wait online and give them my number and then they start making it. Used to come here all the time. Not anymore. Small fries the bag was have empty, literally got 10 fries in the bag. Bought 4.50 coffee for them to hand me something that was bad and turning. When I said it doesn’t look right. She just shrugged her shoulders. Has to go back to the window to explain and they give me plain coffee and pass if off as to what I ordered, which wasnt. If I wanted plain coffee I would have went somewhere else. 4.50 is insane! Very disappointed. Used to come here twice a week for coffee and food. Avoid at all cost!

Came here exactly at 10:45pm for an uber eats delivery. It’s my first time coming here. The girl on the speaker asked me to come to the first window as I did but on foot on drive through because it was my first time here I wasn’t sure on where to go. So as soon as the guy with the pony tail sees me he gave me a rude attitude as if I was an outsider from another country… even if I was or not you dont have to give someone attitude as their first time going to a location.. im so upset. I've been going here for 26 years since I moved to Wantagh. The decline in the service should be studied. First! Please fill all drinks up to the top! Second I don't understand why my creamy chili sauce wasn't in the bag when it is supposed to come with my McCripsy Strips. Third the French fries were put in upside down so they were all at the bottom of the bag. When I drove back after sitting down at home ready to eat... the girl was extremely rude and was looking at me like I was some kind of bad person for coming back just for the sauce. I don't think so! You messed up in return I am coming back to get my sauce. Over the past few years I have been served ice cold coffee that was meant to be hot, melted ice cream, countless times have I had my drink not filled up all the way and many other problems with my orders. Don't even get me started on how long I have waited on certain days! I'm sick of this location I'm going to Merrick from now on!

So I was finishing up a job and ordered breakfast for pick up. I wasn’t going to get there on time to order at the window. I get there and they ask me for code, I give it and they tell me it’s cancelled because they’re not serving it anymore. Well, obviously that’s why it was placed BEFORE I got there.. what else is the point?? If you know a customer is coming for a meal why would you not put that meal aside for their pick up.. cooked or not? That seems incompetent, and a great way to lose a sale. Oh but not really… since they already took my money for the order they didn’t bother preparing? Said it would be back in 24 hours. 24 hours for a service you didn’t even try to fulfill. Then have the nerve to tell me I can place ANOTHER order.. sure, I’ll pay you twice. That seems legitimate. That doesn’t seem like terrible service at all. 🙄

Omg ! I had placed a HUGE order in November, 11/05 to be exact and when I got home, 2 bacon cheeseburgers and a 6 piece nuggets were missing along with all the sauces. I then called and Tiffany said she added me to a book and I can swing by anytime and get it. I tried on December 4th, their grill was broken. Today, 01/07, I went and the person who took my order was ok with it, checked the book and told me drive up for it but then, I’m unsure if the female curly hair supervisor is Sandy or what but the supervisor with curly hair WENT OFF ! I heard a staff say Sandy, that’s why I assumed but god knows. She refused to give her name. She said I took too long to go back and was NASTY ! I tried explaining I came but uh the grill wasn’t working but she did not care. My son was also crying in the back. The supervisor REFUSED to give her name saying she isn’t allowed to give her name. No idea why people like this are working around people and food but she needs to be checked. I called the corporate office and complained about her being so nasty. I shouldn’t have but I still bought food and left. NEVER WILL I EVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION. It’s my fault, they messed up orders multiple times and I never said anything, only once and return like I’m nuts but it won’t happen again.

It’s no wonder why this place has three stars…. I just went through the drive-thru and had one of the most frustrating experiences. I ordered a 6-piece Happy Meal and a McChicken. First, they didn’t include the sweet-and-sour sauce that comes with the nuggets. When I opened the box, there was no sauce at all. I asked for it, and the employee handed me one, then tried to charge me 30 cents for a second sauce. I paid almost $14 for a kids meal and a sandwich, and they’re really nickel-and-diming customers over a single sauce? Ridiculous. On top of that, they didn’t even give me the chocolate milk that comes with my daughter’s Happy Meal. Everything felt sloppy, careless, and honestly insulting. Charging extra for sauce when the original sauce wasn’t even provided, AND forgetting items in the bag, is unacceptable. Do better.

I have been to this place many times,most of the time never get my order right. And 99 percent of the time never get the original Mc Donalds coffee taste.

Just bad experience after bad experience. Seems this particular McDonald’s restaurant has a very miserable young woman, thin Caucasian, black hair w/ black rim glasses Probably a manager because she’s in a manager’s shirt top. Extremely nasty. The prices have been going up steadily the last few months so I don’t feel inappropriate asking for a little extra salt. They give 3 small packets for an entire meal for 2 people.. I asked for a little and this miserable young woman barks out .. “THAT’S ENOUGH !!!” lol !! Like what I was asking for ! Just a nasty young woman, definitely some issues going on and shouldn’t be managing a McDonald’s restaurant. This occurred 2pm 11/11/25. Just Go to Chik Fillet or Wendy’s up the block where the food is served HOT not Cold and the service is way better. If this is how McDonald’s chooses and hires their managers, maybe we should spend our money elsewhere.

The worst you get completely ignored. Where is the acknowledgment of the customer.no one at front desk when you ask for help it’s like you ask for a first born. What has happen to fast food and custom service or even just acknowledgment I’ll be with you in one second.

This McDonald’s is absolutely disgusting. Dirty tables everywhere, food and wrappers all over the floor, bathrooms were disgusting. They are severely understaffed and cannot manage the restaurant and the drive-thru at the same time. It is impossible to get anyone’s attention who works behind the counter. They do not have anyone cleaning tables when others are done eating. This place is an outright disaster.

Couldn't ring in a sausage, biscuit and sausage and egg biscuit no cheese, I had to repeat myself seventeen different times which I have no problem with and still ended up with a sausage and egg mcmuffin instead 😫 i am not local so this was a bummer and caused 10 minute delay

3 days in a row - ordered same thing from Wantagh. Waited in line as quiet busy Got 2 Happy Meals. - 3 days in a row What we got Toys were - All Soda Machines So now we’re stuck with 6 soda machines. Meanwhile I saw kids getting other toys. Always hated Wantagh McDonalds

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered three 20 piece nuggets and selected the sauce I wanted on the screen I also asked the girl when I picked up the bag from the window if they put sauce in the bag upon getting to my destination, I open the bag and for 60 chicken nuggets they put three barbecue sauces like are you kidding me That’s absolutely ridiculous and the workers are very ignorant towards customers they should hire adults with manners, not kids in high school that just stand there texting on the phone

I'm a delivery driver. Don't order through any delivery service from this place after the dining room is closed. They leave us standing at the walk up window for 15-20 minutes everytime while your food gets cold. The staff doesn't like the drivers, they give us attitudes and ignore us as long as they can. You can see them standing around talking. Tonight there were no cars in the drive through the entire time I was there. I waited 25 minutes for a burger fries and a drink and the customer was pissed at the wait time and food being cold. Wasn't my fault. People just hanging out and chatting while they ignored me. Even after I rang the bell 4 times. I'm definitely not taking deliveries from this location anymore.

I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich meal with a medium fry and my ordered got messed up so bad. I ended up with a cheese burger a 10 piece nuggets that said it was spicy but they were not. And I said 2 6 piece nugget order.

HAIR IN MY PLAIN CHEESEBURGER DROM YESTERDAY, 12/05/2022, at about 3:00 pm. I have long brown hair and it’s clearly not mine as it sticks out of my food. Unfortunately the drive thru never provided my receipt and I felt uncomfortable showing up without the receipt to complain about this food. I unfortunately threw the entire meal away and had to spend more money to purchase food again for myself.
