Don't get any specials it's just the same thing on the menu. The wait staff bounce around so much you never know who or where your waiter is. We should have stopped at buccees across the street. Absolutely embarrassing attempt at a dennys restaurant.

Food was delicious! Came out quickly , General Manager Roberto was very polite and checked back on us offering us more coffee . Wonderful experience would come back .

We have gone to dozens of Denny's around the country and this one is definitely one of the nicest for service and quality. The servers are 9 times out of 10 very prompt but not to the point of annoying. We have never had any issues with them cooking the food either under or over. Having been here a few times now we have never seen it unkempt. The bathrooms have been cleaned and stocked every time we have used them. All that said I would not hesitate to recommend this location over others.

My family and I get off late from work and we come here for dinner often. The food is always amazing and the service is always phenomenal when Ashley waits on us. She is always on top of her game, patient, and super sweet. She is my favorite waitress when we come in and tony the cook always makes the best food

The reason I give this joint 5 stars is because the breakfast was delicious, pancakes were yummy and the coffee was hot. The service was soooo slow and servers have a hard time keeping up or they just forget. You have to keep reminding them of small things that they need to bring… the price was very cheap which makes it even better 😆.

I stopped here on my way to take my CNA state exam. I asked the waitress if they had a Carmel iced coffee and she replied that unfortunately they did not. Kacie C. Then went above and beyond and said you know what we do have Carmel sauce so she improvised and it was amazing!!! She could have just said no but I’m glad she didn’t because my nerves needed that cup of coffee and I drank the entire thing!!! Now let’s talk about the food!!! That also was amazing,hot fresh and very well plated not just tossed up on the plate. I have been here several times and I must say this was by far the best experience. I’m mad I didn’t take a picture of my plate because it really looked great!!! Thank you Kacie c and this mornings Cook!!!!!!!! Also the music was Awesome loved it!!!!

The last two times my husband and I came here were early morning stops (4am) and was disappointed both times. Bad service and bad food. But tonight was different.. it was WAY better. I’ve always lived in wharton and have only eaten at Denny’s maybe a solid 3 times..the last two times was years ago, left disappointed but this go-round was amazing, literally the second I stepped foot into the establishment. The restaurant smelled clean, very neat and tidy, and was greeted by a bubbly happy waitress ( I wish I got her name!) I ordered their usual grand slam breakfast and omg! Their food tasted sooo good, I literally cleaned the whole plate, the hashbrowns!!!!! I never eat any hashbrowns from any other restaurants cuz they’re nasty but here!! Literally the best buttery crispy hashbrowns ever!! In the past Denny’s has gotten a bad rep but now that it’s under new management, you can definitely tell the difference and that they really do care here..definitely give them another chance if you haven’t been here in a while and definitely come eat here if you’re passing through town 😉

My food was EXCELLENT. My wife's hamburger was dry, and they forgot to put mustard on it. The first glass of tea they brought me had what looked like old mayonnaise smeared on the side of the glass. They brought me a new glass but didn't apologize.

The restaurant is much improved. We still get the occasional missing ingredient, side, or topping. The tea urns could use special attention, because it's hit or miss whether you'll get fresh or stale iced tea.

We went on graduation night. We waited over an hour for food, and i got the wrong plate. The waitress was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. The food took forever and was not great when it came. They had one cook and one waitress/cashier, and the place was packed. It was the wrong night to go most likely.

My friend ordered the T-Bone steak medium and it was well done. She told the waitress/manager that she could not eat it and the waitress/manager asked if she would like another one. Zero stars!!! First of all this place has no a/c. Second, my chicken fried steak was raw. When the waiter took it back to the cook you can hear them getting upset saying it's cooked. Waiter did come back and asked if I wanted another one and at this point I said no. She also got my husband's order wrong when we told her twice and she ended up charging extra for her mistake. They tried to also charge for the chicken fried steak that I did not receive, but eventually gave us our money back. This place is just horrible. Manager was nice and tried to make it right, but it was just an overall bad experience.

Restaurant has a horrible smell, majority of the tables were dirty. You can tell the dirty dishes were removed, but they were not wiped down. I had to ask the server twice to wipe down our table. He was not happy about it. When asking for things we needed for our meal he seemed like it was a bother.

Ordered the 8oz steak and waited over 45 minutes for them to bring out the order and was given a steak with lumps. I found yellow pimples inside the meat, place was dirty, when you walk in it smells like cats and dogs. Please if you’re hungry go eat at Whataburger next door!

I was there Friday February 21 2025. I had the worse service or better yet no service ever. There was an old lady who sat us down and said I will take your order in a few minutes. It turned out to be 20 minutes with no service or acknowledged that we were there. She went and help a couple 3 times next to is but she never approached us. Granted we were the only Hispanic couple there. Everyone else was attended to but us. Granted I was coming back from Houston after a surgery I just had.

I've been going to this place for going on 5 years, this place used to be a great environment. Recently things have changed and I pay attention to a lot. I was eating and I overheard a conversation and I heard one of the servers tell another server his dad doesn't like to hire Whites or blacks. I've noticed a lot of the Hispanics out as servers and I've seen one black guy (Sammy) and 1 white guy (Reese) through all his employees but they are in the back as dishwashers. I feel like there is a racism issue taking play in the employee process. I've never seen this all these years and lately there have been no black or white server's serving on the floor. I believe everyone should have an opportunity and I feel they are getting treated unfairly.

We both took turns washing our hands in the dirty restroom and when I sat down thee employees walked by us and did not say anything. So we fot up and left. We will not be back!

2:00 a.m we walked in keep in mind that it is open 24 hrs. The man at the front said that they are trying to close. He was very rude. My husband is a Navy vet and we just wanted something to eat and he turned us away. So we came to Whataburger right next door and Dennys still has their OPEN sign on. I guess they just didn't want to work. Our first time going there and our last. To turn away a veteran after serving their country is unacceptable. We don't recommend this Dennys at all! They suck!

If I can give this a zero Stars I totally would but I can't. Walking into the restaurant the place was beyond horrible. After using their disgusting bathrooms, I proceeded to sit down at a table and had to move five different times because of the filth. I then had to wait 15 minutes for my drink order to be taken. What's my order was taking I began to look around and realize that I wouldn't fully be able to enjoy my food because of how messy the restaurant was so I asked the waitress if she could put my food to go. Not only was my food undercooked but it was soggy and it had rotten lettuce on the hamburger. Denny's corporation needs to go in and rethink who's running this restaurant or rethink them having the Denny's in corporation name.
