Whether dine-in, take out or 3rd party delivery, Young's Sushi, in my very experienced palate & opinion, has been the BEST SUSHI in the Cleveland area for many years (both prior & current location in Willoughby). Quality, quantity, selection, consistency, price and presentation. My go-to place and recommendation for others. If only I could be able to fulfill my Uni and/or Ume cravings, though (hard to find delicacies; hint, hint). ;) <3

Great sushi in casual atmosphere. All items fresh and well presented. Great service. Don't need a reservation. Try it! Sashimi, Nigiri, rolls, miso soup, all are well made and delicious.

Fantastic sushi and great service. I drove 20 minutes to get here because the Mayfield area did not have a good looking sushi place. Young's was an excellent experience and I would gladly travel 30 minutes to get good sushi again given the same options. I got the sashimi platter and it was all fantastic.

We liked Young's before. This was our first time in the new location. This is 100x improvement in location, atmosphere, and brightness. The food was excellent. We won't be driving to Beachwood for sushi any more. We'll be back, and we'll bring friends.

We are tourists driving through the area and found them through Google. What a treat!!! Arrived at 9pm and sat on the patio. Best miso soup and pot stickers!! Sashimi was excellent and rolls where huge and delicious. Our server Gina was so friendly and awesome! A great place!

Our waitress Margo rocks. Everything about the evening was great. Food, drinks and enjoyable. The food was very good. Definitely will be back. Great staff too!!!

I love it here- the food is usually delicious (every once in while it just doesn't hit the mark it usually does), the service is always pleasant, and the music refreshing. They do have a nice selection of beers to chose from. The portions though delicious are somewhat small and I wish they had more vegetarian rolls (3 on menu). Yes it is a hole-in-the-wall kinda place but it is a great spot

Young's sushi is tasty and consistent in quality and flavor. I have tried other sushi places both cheaper and more expensive but have found that Young's to be the best and my favorite. Good variety of rolls to choose from both small and large. The service is also good. The drinks are sometimes hit or miss but when in doubt go with Sappror on draft.

Didn't mean to eat here it was and I accidentally found it was a great one. The teriyaki salmon didn't look like a lot of food but it was filling and you get a side of miso soup and salad with lime sweet ginger ranch. My girlfriend had the eel it was nice and tender in a big bowl. Will certainly eat here again. If you're in Willoughby make sure to stop by.

Great atmosphere prices and quality!

The staff are all so nice and the food is fresh every time!! We dine here or carry out at least twice a month. Whether dining in or takeout, the food is always fast, affordable, and fresh. One of the owners is always present to ensure a quality experience and to communicate with the customers. Highly recommended!

I’m so mad I can’t remember my servers name but I came here for the 1st time Monday & she was sooooo sweet to me! My sushi was fresh & delicious! I even had 2 different rolls & spent under $20! I will definitely be back!

In my humble opinion, one of the best sushi places in the Greater Cleveland area. Delicious affordable sushi with absolutely incredible service. Can't be beat!

This place is a gem, and we're so lucky to have it in downtown Willoughby. The food is so delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the staff are so friendly. Wouldn't change a thing about the experience.

decent sushi place you can find in Cleveland. One down side is they put too much rice rather than what goes inside the roll. Also, since we are eating outside the table isn't very cleaned (soy sauce on the table) so it attracts many ants.

First time in all the years I've been coming to downtown Willoughby that we decided to try it. Wasn't sure what to expect but really enjoyed our meal. Everything tasted super fresh. We tried the chef's recommendations, We also enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Our server was very attentive which these days is a big plus when eating out.

Overall, it was ok. The service was good and friendly. We arr sashimi eaters, it was fresh and yummy. We probably go back to try again. Don't get the potstickers they are supposed to be sticking and slightly pan fry. This were dry, deep fry, and there were no sauces to dip in.

Good sushi and I really liked the fried rice balls and the gyoza. However, the miso soup had a really odd flavor that I didn't love and the color was very light like I'd never seen. Above average meal overall.

Didn't have a fantastic experience here the last few times... tables/walls/soy sauces weren't the cleanest and the service was not the most attentive. Sushi rolls were all good or decent but I personally didn't like the spicy tuna consistency.

The sushi here is pretty good but I wasn't that impressed. Maybe I just wasn't really in the mood for sushi that day. I'll definitely give it another try for sure though. It's a small but nice atmosphere. Staff are friendly and attentive. The food comes out quickly too. Try the surf and turf!

A pretty good sushi place. Not the best and not the worst. Rolls were good, nothing to be mad about. We also got Korean inspired chicken which while, didn't have a true Korean fry, had a very good sauce. The server we had was very nice and food came out pretty fast. The main problem we had was the odd smell the restaurant had. Not sure of it was the cleaner they were using or that mixed with fish smell. We were allowed to choose our table and picked the one that had the least amount of stickiness on it. The tables themselves didn't look dirty, it again, might have been a cleaning product. But unfortunately the odd smell was in the entire restaurant and got more fish as you approached the kitchen. They do have outdoor seating though.

We had the most amazing server here. She was so friendly and warm; most importantly, she was good at her job. The sushi here was okay. Not great, not bad just meh. However, it was reasonably priced and had a good selection. The interior is kind of beaten up and dingy. But it was clean and seemed to be family friendly, which is always a plus.

Seafood Salad should have included Crabmeat according to the description, but it was two pieces of fake crab and not crabmeat; it was a kind of sad looking salad. Since there was no Scallops sushi on the menu, we ordered a Spicy Scallop Roll which should not include cucumbers according to the menu but they used cucumbers which I don't like. Black Dragon Roll was okay. Overall, it was just okay place and even it was Saturday evening, they were not busy.

Came here off a recommendation from a friend. First off excellent service. Food came very quickly. Pot stickers were delicious. I ordered the volcano roll and a few nigiri options. The rice was gummy, hard, not edible. I think I ate a couple rolls and I just could not eat the rest.

Our waitress was amazing and everyone was so friendly and the environment was wonderful. The food, sadly, ruined everything for me :( i ordered the nigiri plate and my sushi was actually warm and tasted so fishy and not fresh at all. My husband and I felt immediately sick afterwards. Sadly unless they change something with their food we will not be back, $100 down the drain.

If you’re looking for high quality sushi, this is not the place. But if you’re in the mood for low-grade sushi that only vaguely resembles sushi, then hey you’ve found your spot. We were just passing through Cleveland, saw the 4.6 star reviews, and thought, “What could go wrong?” Well… everything 😅. Credit where it’s due: the waitress was super sweet and friendly. But the food? Yikes. The tuna looked like it had been defrosted for about three days straight pale, watery, and sad, like it had been soaking in an ice bath until it gave up on life. Almost every roll had cream cheese in it (still not sure who decided that was a good idea), and none of it tasted right. The udon soup was another adventure noodles clumped together, broken into tiny bits, basically like someone dumped the package straight into hot water and called it a day. And the wasabi? It didn’t just look fake it looked exactly like green PlayDoh. To be fair, we still ate everything… partly because we were starving, and partly because we hate wasting food. But let’s just say: our stomachs were full, but our souls were not satisfied.

For the most part the food was decent and I enjoyed most of my meal, but one thing caught my attention during my meal. The one type of sashimi on my plate had a distinct rich buttery taste. I ordered the sushi, sashimi and roll plate and I’m about 99 percent sure I was served escolar instead of white tuna. I’ve intentionally tried escolar before and I know exactly how it tastes. Escolar is a cheaper oily deep sea fished that contains a high amount of wax esters that can cause digestive issues because of human’s ability to digest the wax. It has a rich, buttery fishy taste which is very different from white tuna. It’s also banned in some countries because of these health concerns. Many sushi places lie and use escolar instead of white tuna because it’s cheaper and they know that most people won’t find out. On the menu white tuna is listed, not only are they misleading costumers, but they’re putting people at risk by serving this. If you want sushi in the area, I definitely recommend going to Isho Ni or Ninja sushi instead of here. It’s unfortunate because the staff was very friendly on all the 3 of the times I went. Also keep in mind all 3 times I ordered the sushi, sashimi and roll plate and had the same suspicion. Some places like pacific east put escolar on their menu, why can’t they just do that? It’s not white tuna. That’s misleading.

Is it Monday? you have a craving for sushi? Have you been to Ninja in MOL? If you answered yes to any of these then DO NOT go here. The rolls were poorly made, the fish was definitely not fresh. Something was very off with them, they tasted spoiled. The rolls are so thick with rice and wrapped in nori, you’re practically flossing your teeth with it. Every single one of the rolls was wrapped in nori and it was all tough. No amount of soy sauce could make these rolls palatable, the ginger was off putting, and the wasabi, well, didn’t look like wasabi. Just about every single roll on the menu has cream cheese in it, which is very non traditional and not at all what you want when you get sushi, especially for the price they are charging. Never again.

Update, we gave it a second chance because we were in dtw and my son wanted sushi. It was worse than before and they obviously have no intent of improving the quality of their food. Done. My rolls were really uneven and thick with rice with almost no filling. I could barely fit the roll in my mouth, they resembled the rolls I first made when making them at home. They weren't even the same thickness when cut. Either a new person on the line or they figured since it was a veggie roll this person doesn't know what sushi should look or taste like. For the price point I was really disappointed in the dtw staple. Service was fine. I probably should have sent it back, but I am not sure what the etiquette at a sushi restaurant is. We mostly order sushi our from another place and the rice has such a nice and thin even coating so it caught me off guard.

Its really gone down hill over the years. Use to be some of the best sushi in the area and now its just slop. Saggy bland sushi rolls and when ordered to go, their packaging is terrible. Hibachi will spill 100% of the time.
