Lil place in Wolfe City I took my son to today and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! They custom made me 2 different spicy salsas bc I'm extra, made me a custom torta (not on menu) with carne and cerdo. My son chose an enchilada plate. They have an equal amount of authentic Mexican dishes and Tex-Mex foods. Excellent service, wonderful people and delicious food. Great prices also. Definitely worth the experience🔥
One of my favorite places to eat. Food is consistently great. Best guacamole I have ever had. Owners are the best.
The owners both cook and serve the food. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. It's a gathering place for locals and I can see why because it is an authentic and welcoming place in which to both visit and eat.
The food is consistent, fresh and tasty. My family has sensitive stomachs and they never have any issues. El Arbol is one of our go to restaurants.
Stopped in here for a quick bite while attending the Art Walk. Didn't want a big dinner so I opted for a full order of bean and cheese nachos, minus the sour cream. Now, most Mexican food restaurants give you a tiny scoop of guacamole, a few diced tomatoes/pico, and some jalapeños. If you strategize and plan ahead, you MIGHT have enough for 3 nachos. Not here! You get all that, pre-applied, on every single nacho! That's what I'm talking about! And they're quite tasty too! I need to return and try something more substantial!
This was my first time eating here, and it was amazing! I had the enchiladas
Came into El Arbol pretty hungry & thirsty riding in on my bike from Farmersville on the NE Texas Trail (21 miles). Ordered tostadas and a coke. Was served complimentary chips & salsa (tasty & fresh), then a generous portion including two delicious tostadas, rice & beans. I finished everything on my plate. Did not disappoint. $8.50 which I considered a very good deal. Very filling meal for my ride back to Farmersville!
Best steak in town. They are friendly people, and the chef comes to the table and makes sure you are enjoying the meal.
Great chicken enchiladas with verde sauce. First rate gorditas. The owner was highly engaged and the waitress was super friendly.
ElArbol it's a great place to experience great Mexican food from a cheese burger to a traditional dinner of beef enchiladas rice and beans to the fajitas shrimp beef and chicken with guacamole sour cream pico de gallo was pretty reasonably priced at around $40 we had sweet iced tea to drink a great experience down-home authentic cooking have Mexican food in Wolfe City Texas God bless you all be safe
Food was delicious. They serve generous portions. Friendly staff.
The food is simple, traditional Mexican food, but it's really good. Service is great, too. Lunch specials as well.
Mama and Papa never fail to deliver. I had the enchiladas and it was amazing! Very reasonable pricing. Just overall very pleased and will be back!!!
Great place. I have never had a bad meal there. They are in a very small town, so it is first come first served. When they get busy, they get busy. They do have burgers and fries for kids meals. And they will cook just about anything you want, if they have it. Great Mexican food. 'Roy'
We enjoyed the food here very much. Nice surprise. We both ordered enchiladas... Cheese and the green chili chicken ones Rice and beans. Loved the food and will be back.
El Arbol is an amazing restaurant, fresh food- full of flavor, and great service. Their salsa is the best I have ever had. The owners come out to greet all of their customers and have surprised us many time by bringing deserts to our table. Great for dining alone and large parties.
Best tortillas I’ve ever had. There I said it. Wife and I are looking at property in the area and had to try some tacos. We both decided to try two steak fajita tacos and two chicken tacos, all street taco style and WOW! The flavor. Absolutely incredible. Also tried some refried beans and an Arnold Palmer ice tea which both were also amazing. Highly recommend. We will be back!
This place is a hidden gem 💎 Loved this Mexican Pizza.

Some of the best Tex Mex in Hunt County. Waitstaff is always very helpful and attentive. Food is really good. I have to have my enchilada dinner which is great. Salsa is delicious. Will come back!!!!
They prepared our take-out order quickly and provided all the necessary items. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant had charming decor. Overall, it was an excellent place to eat in a small town!
Great Service, great food and excelente atmosphere!
I mainly do take out, but everyone is extremely friendly and my order is right every time. The amount of food is worth what you pay and there are a many options to choose from. Moral of the story, I love it!
Food is awesome. Service is super sweet and friendly but only fair. There seems to always be confusion when asking questions, no matter who serves you, but it's overall a good experience and the staff is always polite and kind. Everything we've had has been fantastic. Cheese and onion enchiladas, salsa, queso are all delicious tex-mex favs and top-notch. Checking out is a bit awkward as the owner is the only one that services the register and you often have to wait for them to come out from the kitchen and customers stand around waiting...often customers get checked out-out of sequence/order which I've observed causes some frustation "I've observed the frowns of 'I was here first' on many many occasions. Atmosphere is an odd mix of Asian, Mexican/fiesta, and cowboy western...kind of looks like multiple restaurants have previously been there and each time a new one moves in they just kind of adopt and add to the decor lol. But it's clean, quiet, and most importantly the food is AWESOME!
This place was terrific. Most of the food was seriously homemade and very good. The menu had much to offer for anyone. My silly kids ordered burgers and chicken strips and got a real burger (not a frozen patty) and freshly cut, breaded, and fried pieces of chicken. Some places load their food with salt, not this place. In my opinion, salt can always be added, but not taken out, and I appreciate that I could actually taste my food. The staff was pleasant and prompt, and the owner, a proud 2nd generation restauranteur, was a lovely man who gladly customized my husband's order and even let my kids pick some music. If you are passing through Wolfe City, or even if you aren't, it's worth a drive to enjoy El Arbol. We can't wait to return!
This restaurant is great, the food was excellent. Saturdays they have special of $20 fajitas for two, the beef and the chicken were really good. Their great hospitality and the way they run the business make you feel at home. I will return on my next bike trip
I stopped in today and had the Chile Rellenos. Very well done. Working away from home and we stop I'm Wolfe City to meet in the mornings. The waitress was really nice too and gave me the TV remote. Y'all stop in if u get a chance.
We came in for lunch hungry after bike riding on a hot day. The food was freshly homemade and flavorful. Their Stuffed Gorditas and fajitas were delicious. We also tried the Churro dessert they had and it was a perfect ending to a great meal. The owners were friendly, caring and genuine. Will be my one place to come back in this town!

The people are very generous and food is very good I believe. Prices are a little high but I think its worth it. Down side is open hours can be different and service is little slow. Still good!
The young man who served us was friendly and prompt. The food was good. The chips and salsa were great!
El Arbol still has the 10 for $20 special on the Family Enchalada (any kind) Dinner with rice, beans, chips and sauce. Love the fresh Sour Cream Enchaladas!
Good food for the money.. Owners are great people who care about their customers and are always doing something to help others out..
Food was great. Service was lacking. Seemed like they didn't have enough staff that day I went.
Stopped in for dinner while on a business trip. The atmosphere and decor were nice. The waitress was friendly but had a tendency to walk away while still talking. Food and drinks came out quick. I ordered the Guisado, when it came out I was surprised to see that it wasn't the traditional way I am used to seeing. The gravy (sauce) was more of a tomato flavor vs the traditional gravy and the meat was a different cut than the normal cubed stew cut. It was delicious though and I enjoyed it. Pricing was fair for what I received.

It's a good place to eat for such a small town. My only issue I had was that they don't have a soda dispenser. They bring you a can to pour, and I am sure it's not free refills. Other than that, it's good overall.

It was a nice clean restaurant. There was a lot of variety on the menu even though the waitress didn't accurately describe the items I was interested in.
So a guy from Celeste took a chance and ordered spaghetti n meatballs from a Mexican restaurant in a small town. Wasn’t too bad. Maybe a step up from chef boyardee. Only one can of soda the next was an additional charge. My family enjoyed their food. It would honestly be a coin toss to go back. Just my honest opinion. Give them a try, hope y’all a great experience.
The food was very good. Chips were good. Salsa was okay. Service was good but could use improvement. Overall, a pleasant dining experience. Would go back.

Very surprised at the good reviews. The restaurant needs to be deep cleaned, plain and simple. There has gotta be 20 years of dust compounded on each fan in there. Food was low quality and bland.
The food was really good the service was good the only problem was that the prices on the menu were not the prices that we were charged. Something it was due to covit 19 prices are higher. Well why weren't we told about the price change at the begining? We ordered the house salsa and were told it would be $.99 more but that our meals would be $3 more each plate we were not told? I think the kids pocketed the money. I will think twice before going back.

I wish them the best but they should take care of the people who drove there to sit down and eat vs the ones who call in. We drove from Greenville to try this place out and it took 20 mins to get chips and salsa. I ask for queso and was told that she didn't know when would get it because the cooks were busy with call in orders. After almost a hour of waiting I set 25$ on the table to pay for 3 drinks, chips and salsa. The waiters should be able to pick up a scoop cheese in a bowl to serve the guest.

I will be reporting to health department. These people should be ashamed serving people out of such a unsanitary place. It is nasty and above all illegal. They should be band from ever opening another place in america
Very bland food. Taste like everything came out of a can. Didn't finish my meal. Drive a little further down the road it will be worth it.
first and last visit here- very bland mexican food- pretty sure cheese sauce was out of a can- much better mexican food options in the area- luckily we don't live too far from here because had to make a bee line for the bathroom once I got home
Place had dirty plates all over the tables. Food was nasty. We had two rice bean plates with a small guacamole--they charged over 18 dollars. Their tea tasted like it been there for weeks.
This place is disgusting! Anyone who gives this place a good review needs to leave the little city every now and then. I vomited before leaving and my husband had to pull over on the way home. We only live 10 minited away.
My wife and I ate there and we both got sick afterwards. Feel bad posting this review, but don’t want others to have the same experience.
Not sure how this restaurant has received any good reviews. The "salsa" has to be from a can. Tasted more like tomato paste. We ordered their spicy salsa, which was the same table salsa with something added to try and make it hot. It was just as horrendous as the regular salsa. A friend of mine ordered an appetizer and carnaasada. He requested medium rare. It came out WAY overcooked, and the appetizer came out long after the meal. I ordered a f Fajita salad which came out after all the other orders. Keep in mine i was the second one to place my order. My frien told the serv that his carnaasada was overcooked. The lady cooking proceeds to come out and say, the temperature wasn't on the tick, and don't pay for the meal. Will NOT go back, nor will recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Went there on a Saturday night. We were the only people there. The tables were sticky and had food smeared all over them. Waited for 39 minutes some teeny boppers that worked there kept coming by and avoiding us. We finally walked out due to lack of service. It was very dirty and the teenagers working there were either mute or were hoping we would just leave so they didnt have to work. It was about 630pm. This is what the world is coming to
Food was not seasoned well. We all got the wrong drinks the waitress was too busy chatting with the regulars for us to ask for the correct drinks. The food was brought out by someone else and we sat for quite a while while we waited for dinnerware to be brought out. All in all, not a good night for them maybe???
