Loved the vibe here. I got a drink while waiting for my reservations. I was greeted by this sweet bartender. She was attentive and quick.
Happy hour everyday till 7! Cheers
Great vibes and greater bartenders. First time there you'll be feeling like you've been going your whole life
Came here with a friend last night. Really good local Bar in the East Village NYC bar scene. I wish I could remember the bar tenders name but he made me a really cool old fashioned with a kick. Can't wait to go back.
Great locals-type dive bar. Friendly, helpful staff, good music, fun atmosphere.
Knowing the history of this spot, I was a little worried about reviews and whatnot that this place had turned into an ignorant sporty frat spot, but they were 10000% wrong. The legacy of the spot is respected, the staff know their his/herstory and if you’re not convinced, the juke box reflects reverence. Such an amazing spot! I will definitely return soon
One of the best low key bars in the area. Great rotating selection of craft beer and well made cocktails. Very no frills, which I happen to enjoy. Have never had an issue here and always happy to come back. Staff is highly knowledgeable and capable of making insightful suggestions. Highly recommend checking out if you are looking for a new haunt or just passing by for a quick one.
Wandered in here because it looked nice a cool sorta divey place which I like. Asked "what's good that's local?" since I was visiting from the west coast. Bartender had some good recommendations. Good music on the jukebox, chill vibes. Would 100% come back whenever I'm in NYC again.
Seemed like a pretty solid place. It was really busy when we visited. There weren't any open seats so we chugged down a vodka drink and bounced. I would return sometime. It's in a convenient location for walking between Greenwich and the East Village.
What kind of bar/pub has $10 minimum without any notice? Forced to order one more beer.
Bartender with mullet was incredibly rude and straight up harassed my friend over her tip. He approached us and relentlessly harassed her until she left a higher tip. Listen, I’ve worked in the service industry (in fact, we all have) and I would never DREAM of approaching a customer in such a way. I understand being bummed about less than 20% but shouting and carrying on to a customer in an effort to embarrass them and back them into a corner is insane. He was swearing and didn’t walk away until she changed the amount. Then on our way out he told us not to come back. We ordered a beer, two well mixed drinks and a couple of shots— and planned to order more, but we were super uncomfortable after this literal berating that we left. I take some sort of peace in knowing that based on these reviews that he does this often, but the fact that this is a pattern and his management allows this continue is embarrassing for this establishment, to say the least.
the bartender with a mullet berated my friend over her tip. he came over to our table and relentlessly asked for a higher tip. it was so uncomfortable and DISGUSTING. on our way out he said "dont hurry back" and i hope NO ONE does.
If i could put zero stars i would. Ordered drinks and shots with my friends sat at a table and was rudely interrupted ten minutes later by the bartender asking if what i tipped was correct. After I said yes, he continued to say how i could possibly tip that low, if they did a horrible job, if I do this at other bars etc. I think it’s incredibly rude and disrespectful to come up to someone regardless of how much I decided to tip. And then relentlessly continued to ask if I want to tip more. After he stood over my shoulder and watched as I uncomfortably adjusted the tip I can say I will never be back to this very underwhelming bar with horribly rude workers. Don’t waste your time or money here.
If I could give zero stars, I would. My friends and I went to this bar expecting a nice, relaxed evening, but what we got instead was outright hostility and unprofessionalism. The waitress forgot our order, ignored us even though the bar was empty, and took forever to pour three beers. Worse, she kept glaring at us and kicked us out for no reason—two hours before closing! This place doesn’t deserve anyone’s business. There are plenty of better bars in the area—save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
Worst bar ever. Truly. Walked in and initially felt somewhat at home, especially as someone who bartends in a similar environment . After working a 10+ hour bartender gig down the block looking for a nightcap, not to mention in distress and grieving the loss of a dear friend in the process, the bartender was absolutely ABYSMAL. I overtipped in good faith at 3:30AM and he couldn’t wait to kick me out at 3:50. AVOID this whack bar. 👎🏻
